FileUpload.bsp in BSP application SBSPEXT_HTMLB

Hi,
On the layout of this page FileUpload.bsp there is an element like this:
      <htmlb:fileUpload id       = "<%= %_testSuite->seq_nr( )%>"
                        onUpload = "HandleUpload" />
Where can I find source code of "HandleUpload"?
Thanks,

Hi Pulau,
I repeat - there is sample code in the online documentation.
To quite directly from it...
If you want to read the uploaded file on the server, you do this in the
event handling phase in OnInputProcessing.

  • BSP Application does not launch in SAP R/3 4.7

    Hi Experts,
We are trying to create a BSP application in SAP R/3 4.7. We are using the MVC architecture for the same. However, we are failing to launch the BSP pages. When the URL is launced either from SAP or directly in IE, the password prompt appears, after entering the user name and password it reappears again for 3 times and then throws a message invalid user name or password. This happens for all User Names. The passwords are correct though.
We have similar BSP Application in our SAP CRM 4.0 box and it works. I do not have much expertise in BSP, thus would want to know whether there are any BASIS settings that could be required in the system before we proceed. How do we know whether the system is compatible to BSP applications. We have even activated the BSP Application in SICF (Default_host -> SAP -> BC -> BSP -> SAP -> <BSP Application Name>). The current Support Pack version on the system are as follows,
    SAP_BASIS Release 620 SAPKB62065; SAP_ABA Release 620 SAPKA62065.
Even if we try to launch the standard example BSP applications in the box, even they do not launch. The same problem appears. Do we need to make changes to User Roles level? All these user IDs have SAP ALL access though.
Please let me know how can I sort this out. Also let me know if you would need any further details.
Thanks for your help in advance.
    Regards,
    Subhrangsu

    Hi Subbie,
in transaction SICF navigate to the service default_host->sap->public->ping. Right-click and select "Test Service". If this works then the BSP runtime is working okay.
Then navigate to the service sap->bc->bsp->sap->sbspext_htmlb and try the same there. On this service you will need to enter a username and password.
If all this works then you need to look clser at what you are doing.

  • Using BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 from BSP Application

I am trying to add a document in DMS from a BSP application. The bapi_create_document2 works except that it will not upload a file from the client PC. The exact same code with the exact same parameters supplied works from within an ABAP program. I assume that this is because the web server is the presentation server in the BSP application and does not have access to the files on the PC.
I know that I can use the  <htmlb:fileUpload> tag to move a file from the PC to the data object type ref to CL_HTMLB_FILEUPLOAD. The contents would then be in data->content. I am wondering if there is then some way to add the original file from the object using this BAPI or another one.

I can tell you what we did.  When you use BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 you can specify a SAPFTP or SAPHTTP destination.  These are RFC destinations where the sapftp or saphttp executable can be found.  We setup an SAP gateway installation on each of our global content and cache servers.  We then use the client IP address to determine the closest SAP Content server to the client.  We use JavaScript (and the filesystem object - note your server must be in the trusted zone in IE for this to work) to copy the file from the client machine to the nearest Content Server.  Then when we call the BAPI we specify the correct RFC Destination where the file is located and it is checked in correctly.
Now if you don't use the Content and Cache Servers and only want to upload into the R/3 database repository, then I would just use the fileUpload and write the file to a local directory on the server.  Then point to the SAPFTP/SAPHTTP RFC that would have access on that server.

  • File Upload in BSP Applications and store in Application server

Hi we have requirement to store the attachments from BSP application into the external/internal storage space connected to application server.
I search for weblogs and all talking about <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_me21sp2/helpdata/en/eb/8c683c8de8a969e10000000a114084/content.htm">File Upload in BSP Applications and store in MIME Repository</a>.
But our requirement is upload and store(no need to read the file content) attachments from BSP page into file server, and then make a link back in BSP page to open.
I know we can handle documnets in R/3 using DMS, but our system is SRM.
Please give a suggestion and solution.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I faced a similar problem some time ago (uploading a file via BSP, storing it to the application server and then linking the archived document to a business object.
Here is the coding I used:

Remark: It´s vital to convert the uploaded file from XSTRING to BINARY. Otherwise the file cannot be stored/archived properly.
The archived document can then be displayed by inserting the (IXOS-web client-)link to the BSP page (e.g. http://193.228.208.78:4060/archive.dll/get?arc=2T&doc=44439F1B4F701E65E1000000C1E4D00A).

When i execute i get the following on the browser.
    The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings

    Hi,
In order to see if the service is activated simply right click on it in SICF. There you will see whether or not the service is activated. Additionaly when you are activating the services from the OSS note you will see 2 YES buttons. Be sure to click the one on the right. Its the one with the little arrow and folder picture on it. Clicking this button will also activate the sub nodes.
Your BSP will be in the following path:
    default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/yourbspname
Although you shouldn't have to activate it in SICF if its properly activated via SE80 and all the system services listed below are active.
Here are the BSP services that must be activated:
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/system
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/public/bc
    /default_host/sap/public/bc
    /default_host/sap/public/bc/ur
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/public
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/public/bc
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/system
    /default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/htmlb
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/it00
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/sbspext_htmlb
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/sbspext_xhtmlb
    /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/htmlb_samples
Like I said make sure you click on the right hand side YES button to ensure all the sub node get activated as well.
It is not enough to just activate your BSP application node. All parents should be activated also. Doesn't hurt thats for sure
Let me know if this helps
    Cheers,
    Rich

  • SSO via Windows authentication for a BSP application

    Hi,
is it possible to configure/implement a bsp-application, so that the user of the application is authenticated in the SAP system through the windows user (without entering the user or password). I search for a mechanism, that is like the SSO mechanism in the SAP EP. We don't have SAP EP, neither we have a java stack installation.
Exists a way to implement this scenario?
My idea was it, to use the same functionality, like in the SAP GUI, when configuring SSO. Unfortunately I don't find any hints about this topic.
    Regards,
    Thomas

One best way is to embed the BSP page in the iview of the EP. As your are telling EP is not available i think there is no other way around.

  • Javascript error calling a bi 7.0 webapplication from a bsp application

    Hi everyone,
This is the scenario we're facing a javascript error :
Enterprise Portal is calling a custom bsp application ( via an iview in the enterprise portal ) in the bi system with a parameter "template_id" and a value, which is the technical name of a bi web application.
The bsp application is evaluating the parameter by some custom code and creating a html page with a redirect or a maintenance message to the bi web application passed with the parameter "template_id".
The html link to the bi web application is created according to this documentation :
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/46/03d4ac801467e6e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
Purpose of the bsp application :
in the bi system there is a database table to maintain a flag for each webtemplate and infocube, which should not be called via the enterprise portal for a certain time ( some kind of maintenance switch ). The bsp application then decides to show a maintenance page for the called webtemplate or to send the redirect page to the client.
The process described above is :
working with the bi 7.01 sp7 in the bi ( enterprise portal sp22 ) in the productive system.
working in the Q&A system bi 7.01 sp8 with bi 3.5 web applications.

    Hello everyone,
we did some further analysis on this problem und we think we found the problem.
The error occurs while trying to execute the standard url for web templates inside a Enterprise Portal Frame, for example
    https://XXX:XXX/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?TEMPLATE=XXX
While executing the URL a HTML-Page with some embeded Javascript-code is sent back to the browser.
In this Javascrip-Code, the method-call "dsmObj.registerAll" leads to a script error in Internet Explorer.
    dsmObj.registerAll("pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.ip.bi/iViews/com.sap.ip.bi.bex", "GUSID:6FC9SuhGDPIMMLwOdeHEIg--_7WQud13yeLJDz2kYoQFSg--", "1307605928212");
In SP7, the method "dsmObj.registerFullKey" is called instead of "dsmObj.registerAll". This has changed in SP8.
    dsmObj.registerFullKey("GUSID:iBPvyska9*xE_JBalkQG2g--YyKv2C3NToP0I79Mw7EO8w--", "1307606479963");
The object "dsmObj" seems to reference the parent frame of the Enterprise Portal.
Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas how we can fix this?
    Kind regards,
    Matthias

  • How to set up use of relative URLs for a BSP application

    Dear all,
I need to access a BSP application through our external portal.
This is failing because generated URLs are absolute URLs (they mention physical server name, not known of course on the internet) where they should be relative URLs (they use external portal URL as prefix).
    How to set this up?
I'm logged on http://myportal.com/irj/portal and want to call a BSP application. To build this page, my internet client (Internet Explorer) tries to get elements from the server. Looking at HTTP trace, I can see that my IE is trying to reach the physical server, not known on internet of course, then page loading fails.
    Ex absolute URL : http://myservername.domain.com/sap/bw/[...]/image1.gif
This is the behavior I can see at the moment.
    Relative URL : http://myportal.com/sap/bw/[...]/image1.gif
This is what I'd like to see.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

In my BSP application i have taken an input field and made its type "date" and its value also of type date and have set showhelp .
Now once a particular date is given as an input i want to pass its value to next page. And in next page i have to fire a query based on the date entered in previous page...
Now my prb is that my date value is not getting passed to the next page.
    I have used
    navigation->set_parameter( name = 'BEGDA' value = BEGDA ).
to pass date parameter.....still parameter is not getting passed.
    plz help me with this.....
    thankx.....

    Hi Eddy,
By truncation i mean the entire date becomes 10 char including the ' . ' eg(06.12.2006).
so with begda being 8chars it takes my date as 06.12.200
as a result my query is not getting executed.
now i have tried to use a FM  'CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERN_FORMAT'.
in my 1st page but still in 2nd page its giving me following error.
<b>The data that was read could not be written to the specified target field during a SELECT access. Either the conversion is not supported for the type of the target field, or the target field is too short to accept the value, or the data is not in the appropriateformat for the target field.
    </b>
