Filling a textedit ui through an internal table

Hi
In our app we have created a textview ui element to show the contents of an itenral table of type TP1002.
Our problem lies with the new line . The question is how to copy the internal table to the textview to reflect
the structure of each new line.
We tried to use seprate by cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline did also fail to do the trick

I am not sure if this will work , try this ,
Declare a itab of type string_table.(say lt_string)
Loop at itab(the actual data) into wrkarea.
concatenate all fileds of wrkarea into a string variable.(say lv_string)
APPEND lv_string TO lt_string.
ENDLOOP.
Bind lt_string to a context attribute of type string_table.Bind the attribute to the "value" of textedit.I remember doing somthing like this and it seemed to work.

I have a data type LRAW.
ZCLUSTR type INT2.
ZLOG type LRAW.
It is said that: LRAW: Uninterpreted byte string of any length, but has to be declared with a minimum length of 256. Fields of this type must be located at the end of transparent tables (in each table there can be only one such field) and must be preceded by a length field of type INT2. If there is an INSERT or UPDATE in ABAP programs, this length field must be filled with the length actually required. If the length field is not filled correctly, this may lead to a data loss in the LRAW field! A fields of this type cannot be used in the WHERE condition of a SELECT statement.
So my question is how can I store data in ZLOG? I want to store the content of an internal table into ZLOG, but I don't know how to use INSERT statement correctly. What should I do with ZCLUSTR?

I think you only to sign to be 'I' and option to be 'EQ'.
your code should be..
if not rg_ord[] is initial.
       rg_ord-sign = 'I'.
       rg_ord-option = 'EQ'.
       MODIFY rg_ord TRANSPORTING sign option where value ne space.
*here since you are not modifying the value,the value remains the same
endif.
You cannot code as you stated in SQL.
If you make your code as
SELECT
      vbeln INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE rg_ord
     FROM vbap
     WHERE vbeln in rg_ord.
will handle the for the condition you specified.

Filling dynamic internal table with data from other internal table

Hi Friends,
My problem is that i have already built a dynamic internal table
(class int_table->create) but now i want to fill it with data from other internal table.
The dynamic table column name and the field value of the data filled internal table are same, but how to access that column name, since i cant hard code it anyway.
Like if my werks field value is '8001'. I want to place it under the column 8001 of dynamic table, Can anybody help me in this regard?

Why "Modify itab index sy-tabix." makes internal table content blank?

We have an internal table itab which looks like to have the following content:
A---B---C
1----3----
2----2----
We would like to get the column C value in this internal table itab by summing Column A and Column B, and then fill C column values into this internal table. We know that the program would looks like:
Loop at itab into wa_itab.
    wa_itab-C = wa_itab-A + wa_itab-B.
    Modify itab index sy-tabix.
EndLoop.
But after executing the above code, all itab becomes blank. Through debugging, find it's caused by the statement "Modify itab index sy-tabix.". Could any ABAP expert here let us know the reason and we will give you reward points!

what you tried is correct.but instead of using
modify itab index sy-tabix
use
modify itab index sy-tabix from wa_itab.
the reason for blank data is you are not mentioning from where that record is to be updated.your specifying the record using index.one thing is no need to use index also because in a loop you are modifying so automatically it will take you to the record.
try the following code.

'Search' internal table - sy-tabix question

I realize there are many questions out there on sy-tabix but non that answer my question.
I have an internal table that will be filled with material numbers (among other things). I need to loop through the internal table to see if the material number already exists in the table. If so I need to store the index of the material number. What is the best way to go about doing this?

I wasn't sure if I could do something like

Loop at internal Table inside Script

I am filling a table in a subroutine in a program and calling it through 'Perform' from my Script,now the main issue is , How to display the table in my script ?
I want to loop through an internal table & display its content on my script , but i can't make changes in the calling program by any means.

With PERFORM inside SAPSCRIPT you can only pass individual fields and also get back individual fields .

Only "USING" and CHANGING" options are allowed and that too only symbols available / defined in sapscript can be passed .
Even if you populate an internal table in the program you are calling with "PERFORM" there is no way to pass this internal table back to sapscript , also in SAPSCRIPT there is no way to loop .
If you are sure about the no of lines you are going to populate and all lines have only one column ( only one field ) you can try something like this .
/: PERFORM GET_VALUE IN PROGRAM <ZNAME>
/: USING &VAR1&
/: USING &VAR2&
/: CHANGING &ITAB1&
/: CHANGING &ITAB2&

Anothe way is to loop in the main print program and call WRITE_FORM . But I guess your main print program is a SAP std program which you dont want to copy and change.

ENDLOOP.
This statement assigns an internal table itab of the ABAP program to the table control and triggers a parallel loop run over the table control rows displayed on the screen and over the internal table itab. The additions INTO and WITH CONTROL are possible at the time of PBO, but not at PAI. The assignment of the loop to the table control takes place at PAI through the internal table.
Using the INTO addition, the fields of the internal table itab are written to the work area wa at the time of PBO and the content of wa is transported, line by line, to the identically-named fields of the table control on the screen. Without the INTO addition, you must use an internal table with a header line. Then the content of the header line is transported line by line to the identically-named fields of the table control on the screen at the time of PBO. No module is required for filling the table control rows.
Conversely, at the time of PAI, the internal table rows are not automatically filled with the contents of the table control rows. Instead, you must call a dialog module within the loop that modifies the table.

Internal table in smartforms without use predifined structure

I have a doubt is possible to use an internal table that was defined in a program but not in a structure in the data dictionary ??
How i need define this in smartform ??
I'm doing the following:
   In the global definitions in the tab types i define a type.
   types: begin of ty_tab,
              data1 like ....
              data2 like ...
            end of ty_tab.
   types: ti_itab type standard table of ty_tab.
In the form interface in the tab import
I define the internal table ti_namex:
   parameter name: ti_namex type ti_itab.
When i try to activate the system send a message: Form interface, type ti_itab is unknown
   Somebody have any suggestions ??

As per Srilathau2019s answer, it cannot recognize the parameter, it showu2019s error.
But it is possible to pass the values from your driver program to the smart form through the internal tables defined in the driver program to the smart forms, without needing to create structure to the internal table in the data dictionary.
Follow the procedure given below.
In smart form to get the required data from driver program you need to declare the variable / field in form interface menu as import parameters with their associated types.
Run the smart form take functional module generated by smart form, then in driver program call function by using function module.
In that called function you get field which we declared in smart form.
Then pass final internal table field to fieldu2019s in exporting section of call function

After OPEN DATASET statement check if sy-subrc = 0 if its success then proceed with split statement and save the dataset values into a internal table and while debugging the internal table you will find that whether all values get into internal table.
Checking sy-subrc after OPEN DATASET statement is must to fill up the values in the internal table.
For e.g.
OPEN DATASET p_inpfile FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
IF sy-subrc NE 0.
    WRITE :/ 'No such input file' .
    EXIT.
ELSE.
READ DATASET p_inpfile INTO loc_string.
      IF sy-subrc NE 0.
        EXIT.
      ELSE.
        CLEAR loc2.
*Spliting fields in the file-
        REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '#' IN wa_string WITH ' '.

ABAP transformation to XML for sap chart engine with internal table

I am new to the SAP chart engine, XML and transformations so please be patient with me from an ABAP-program I am trying to call a Z-transformation and attach an internal table with two columns. In the ST program I want to loop through the table and for each row insert the two values from the table in the XML.
In an ABAP-program I have an internal table containing datacoordinates for a scattered chart.
The table looks like this:
DATA: BEGIN OF coordinate,
            x_value TYPE f,
            y_value TYPE f,
           END OF coordinate,
           polygon_data LIKE STANDARD TABLE OF coordinate with header line.
As a prototype I just add a few coordinates like this:
polygon_data-x_value = '700'.

    polygon_data-y_value = '3'.
    APPEND polygon_data.
    polygon_data-x_value = '1400'.

I have created a Z-transformation and I call it like this (I also have a separate transformation for all the customizing generated with SAP chart designer but that one works fine):

What type of internal table should I use based from my scenario...

Hello Experts,
I am currently having a dillema here because I am trying to optimize a certain
part of a report where in the internal table contains around 300,000 lines of
records. The original internal table is of type standard table. So what the original
programmer did was to delete certain records in a given condition then sort it
by fields 1 and 2 in ascending order. Now, it then loops through that internal table
but gives run time error because it exceeded the limit in our prod server which is only 10 mins.
Now what I did was to try modifying the internal table to make it of type sorted. This is to eliminate
the sort statement. I dont know if what I am doing is right. Help would be greatly appreciated and

I have got a requirement in which, I will be entering the table name and Excel file from seletion-screen.
based on the Table I have entered in the selection-screen I need to create a dynamic internal table so that I can fill that Execel data into that internal table and later i using BDC i can I can fill the database table using SM30 transaction.
here. my problem is that, When I am creating internal table dynamically, MANDT filed is also getting created in the internal table.
please, help in deleteing the filed MANDT from the internal able.

Ex:
