Filter Dataproviders on Webtemplates independently

Hi Guys,
I have a webtemplate that has 2 Dataproviders which are attached to the same query. Now I want to filter the 1st dataprovider with "Fiscal year = 2005" and the 2nd one with "Fiscalyear = 2006".
Is there a way of doing it without having to create another query by directly applying the filter value in the template may be using command line or otherwise?
Appreciate your help
Doniv

You can set 2 different filters for the data providers in the template using the code given below.
<object>
         <param name="OWNER" value="SAP_BW"/>
         <param name="CMD" value="SET_DATA_PROVIDER"/>
         <param name="NAME" value="DP"/>
         <param name="DATA_PROVIDER_ID" value=""/>
         <param name="FILTER_IOBJNM" value="0CALYEAR"/>
         <param name="FILTER_VALUE" value="2005"/>
         DATA_PROVIDER:             DP
</object>
<object>
         <param name="OWNER" value="SAP_BW"/>
         <param name="CMD" value="SET_DATA_PROVIDER"/>
         <param name="NAME" value="DP2"/>
         <param name="DATA_PROVIDER_ID" value=""/>
         <param name="FILTER_IOBJNM" value="0CALYEAR"/>
         <param name="FILTER_VALUE" value="2006"/>
         DATA_PROVIDER:             DP2
</object>
You can also create 2 view with the different year filters and assign the views to the data provider in the template.
Thanks.

  • Multiple queries / tabs in Web Template

    Hi all, I'm trying to find a few people I can share experience with regarding Web Templates with multiple tabs / dataproviders (ie queries, usually)
    Two particular issues at the moment:
    I'm having regular Internal Server Error when I have select the second tab and then click Refresh Variables (command Open_Variable_Dialogue, which doesn't link to a specific DataProvider). Has anyone come across this?
    Also, has anyone worked out a way of only having 1 of each of Filter, Navigate, Export and Print buttons/links? Because these are specific to a DataProvider it seems I have to have a different button for each tab, which is clumsy with 2 queries and unacceptable for more than 2.
    I'm not a Java programmer - any thoughts on whether Java programming skills are more or less essential to a BW Web development project?
    But wider than these specifics, I'm keen to get some discussion going on this... I know many companies use multi-query web templates, so why the lack of discussion?
    Hope to hear back soon, points awarded where deserved.
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
                     i worked in the webtemplate with multiple quiries.
    you are trying to create the webtemplate with multiple quiries. can brief your requirement, so that i can help you out.
    do you want to use multiple quiries in template. do you want you use the variable screen before opning the webtemplate. you can use the dropdown box, filter in the webtemplate. By using the dropdown or filter panel you can control multiple quiries in the template. by using the one dropdown box, print button, you control all the quiries in the template.
    if you have any quiries please let me know.
    regards
    amith

  • Content Search Web Part - Result Preview Says "Invalid Request"

    This behavior seems to be occurring in both our test and production farms.
    ULS logs indicate the following entry:
    Exception occured in scope Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Query.SearchExecutor.ExecuteQueries. Exception=Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.InvalidClientQueryException: Invalid request.

    at Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerStub.InvokeMethodWithMonitoredScope(Object target, String methodName, XmlNodeList args, ProxyContext proxyContext, Boolean& isVoid)
    I have used very simple queries, to see if it's KQL error on our part, such as ContentType:"CType Name"
    When we use developer dashboard I can see the XML for the search request which the CSOM is dispatching however, I believe this to be completely out of the box.
    Do you have any suggestions as to why the request may be considered invalid and what diagnostics could be run to better isolate why this OOB feature is not working?
    We are using Enterprise SP2013 On Prem.
    thanks

    Aries,
    Here is a description of what I see.
    1) This is the out of the box (non-customized) CSWP
    2) Upon clicking the "Change Query" button on the toolpart the dialog window opens.  The Search Result Preview says "This query returned no results" but as per the JSON response above, it appears that there is "ResultTables" present in the response.
    Occasionally, a preview-result does show up but this is not consistent.  The JSON response seems to be identical.
    Initial response - shows "Query returned no results" however, I see results in the JSON below. I have replaced our hostname w/ intranet.contoso.com

    This is the  KQL. (above)
    Next, we immediately click "Test query" without modifying the KQL. We send an XML request using the web part however, in that case, the XML variables are replaced with the $-syntax, this occurred within the web part through no effort of ours.  The behavior
    shows "Invalid Request"
    Can you explain what you mean by "There is customization in the web part"?  We have used the out of the box web part.
    Any subsequent query modification in the query-builder dialog-window causes the $-syntax.  When i illustrated the comparisons of the XML-request above the only difference in between the two requests is that the left-side is created by the initial-load
    of the QueryBuilder dialog and the right-side is created when we click "Test query" (immediately after) in the Advanced Mode screen.
    We do have a custom master page and I will try to revert back as close as possible to vanilla SharePoint and test.  But to address your earlier point, no customization to the Content By Search Web part has been used.

  • How to use one Filter Pane to multiple Dataproviders

    Hi Experts.
    i have checked the threads on this but i did not get correct solution.
    we have issue in using single Filter pane web item in WAD for three different dataproviders ( three dataproviders have same free charecteristics and variable) charecteristics in row and keyfigures are different.
    thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Raj.

    Hi Gill,
    Thanks for your Quick responce.
    when we use the single filter pane, filter conditions are working for only first dataprovider (since data binding is to dataprovider 1. in affterted dataproviders i selected dataprovider 2 and 3, but filter pane is not active for other two dataproviders in tabs.
    thanks in advance.

  • Change several Dataproviders with Command URL in WebTemplate

    Dear Community,
    Could someone help me with this problem?
    I have an Webtemplate containing 5 Table-Items with several views of one Query - now I want to switch the whole 5 Qeries to other ones with one click.
    I tried to realize this with command URL´s (like mentioned in SAP-Docu and some posts) but haven´t been successful. This only works for one dataprovider, furthermore the Filters won´t be applied in the switched template (We are on BW 3.5).
    Any suggestions how to solve this issue in a smart way?
    kind regards.
    Jürgen

    Dear BW-Gurus,
    now i will give you some coding - hoping somebody has a solution (we are on BW 3.5).
    In the webtemplate there are 4 table-items with 4 several querie-views. With a click on button "Standard" the views should change to the other ones (works fine) and the filter values should stay (doesn´t work).
    <FORM  method=post name=Form1 action=<SAP_BW_URL>>change layout:
       <input  type="hidden" name="CMD_1" value="DATA_PROVIDER=DP_1&CMD=Reset_DATA_PROVIDER&DATA_PROVIDER_ID=ZQV_VC1&RRI=X">
       <input  type="hidden" name="CMD_2" value="DATA_PROVIDER=DP_2&CMD=RESET_DATA_PROVIDER&DATA_PROVIDER_ID=ZQV_VC2&RRI=X">
       <input  type="hidden" name="CMD_3" value="DATA_PROVIDER=DP_3&CMD=RESET_DATA_PROVIDER&DATA_PROVIDER_ID=ZQV_VC3&RRI=X">
       <input  type="hidden" name="CMD_4" value="DATA_PROVIDER=DP_4&CMD=RESET_DATA_PROVIDER&DATA_PROVIDER_ID=ZQV_VC4&RRI=X">
       <input type="submit" class=SAPBEXBtnStd style="font-size:11px; height:100%" value="Standard">
    </FORM>
    the code works fine for changing the views, but the the nav-state after click is initial, even though i used the parameter "RRI=X" like mentioned here: [Forum Thread|; or here help.sap.com
    what´s wrong with my coding? Do you prefer an other way to solve this issue??
    thanks for every reply and hint
    regards
    Jürgen

  • Try to set filter in webtemplates (WAD) via URL

    Hi,
    I try to set filter via url. I have one report and create a view. This view is shown via webtemplate. Now I try to generate a url with special parameter to set some filter automatically. The normal view has all countries but now I need a view with Germany and another view with Austria. I want to create no other view for that I would modify the filter via URL parameter like ...?template_id=tempalte_1&land_bu=Germany.
    Greets, Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
    if you need information about 3.5 technologie go to sap.help.com and choose the help for SAP NetWeaver 2004 (without the 's').
    There you will find the information if you search with the string 'Command URLs' or try http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/1a/456a3badc1b315e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

  • Report level filter impact on non-merged dimension

    Hi Experts,
    I have a problem in Webi 3.1 sp4.
    We have three dataproviders from same universe.  two dataproviders are linked with merged dimensions and third one is from independent table which has only one value (not related to other two data providers).
    Created report with one block(block1) contained objects from first two dataproviders. Object from third dataprovider is placed on report body above block1.
    Everything working fine.
    If we create a report level filter with detail objects from first two dataproviders, value from third dataprovider disappears.
    I don't have problem if create filter at block level.
    Please help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Akshara...

    That is a previous XI version.  I meant within XI 3.1 - between Support Packages, is it a change from SP03 for example?
    If it is (b/ween SP03 - Sp04 ) then you should log a support message

  • Changing Filter Values from Macro in BW 7.0

    Hello,
    in my Workbook I need to change Filter Values of some queries in runtime.
    The first thing I found was BEx API reference for BW 3.5, but I wasn't able to make these functions work. After all I found this code:
        Dim BEx As Object
        Set BEx = Application.Run("BExAnalyzer.xla!GetBEx")
        Dim dp As Object
        Set dp = BEx.DataProviders.Item(sDP)
        Dim dimension As Object
        Set dimension = dp.Request.Dimensions.Item("0CALDAY")
        Dim filters As Object
        Set filters = dimension.filters
        If Not BEx.ServerStateExists Then
        MsgBox " Please refresh before using this Makro"
        Exit Function
        End If
        Call filters.SetFilterValue(sFilter) 'this sets the filter value
    But using this code I wasn't able to set more than 1 filter value, because the function SetFilterValue removes all previous filters, but now I need to set more than 1 filters.
    I also tried to separate different filter values with comma, but this did not help.
    Also I will be glad if someone could give me a link on documentation about BEx objects in Excel.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pavel Baronov

    By default all sub-entities are downloaded. Pass a non-existing value
    for the parameter (primary key) of the sub-entity if you don't want to
    download a specific sub-entity.
    For example, if you don't want to download the values of a value set,
    then use following input to FLEX_VALUE attribute while setting filter;
    FLEX_VALUE='THIS_IS_A_NON_EXISTING_VALUE_I_DONT_WANT_TO_DOWNLOAD_VALUES'
    VALUE_SET
    Notes:
    - To download '$FLEX$.%' value sets pass '$FLEX$.%' argument.
    - Upload API automatically submits the hierarchy compiler request
    - FLEX_VALUE_SET_NAME is a required argument for download.
    You can find the following parameters in Set Filter screen of Value Set Values.
    VALUE_SET has subenities such as VSET_SECURITY_RULE, VSET_ROLLUP_GROUP and VSET_VALUE.
    Setting value for attribute FLEX_VALUE_SET_NAME downloads all the subentities. If you want
    to restrict the subentities, set appropriate filter at VSET_SECURITY_RULE, VSET_ROLLUP_GROUP
    and VSET_VALUE.
    Parameters:
    VALUE_SET
    | FLEX_VALUE_SET_NAME : Value set name.
    |
    +-VSET_SECURITY_RULE
    | FLEX_VALUE_RULE_NAME : Value set security rule name.
    | PARENT_FLEX_VALUE_LOW : Independent value for the dependent value sets.
    |
    +-VSET_ROLLUP_GROUP
    | HIERARCHY_CODE : Hierarchy (rollup group) code.
    |
    +-VSET_VALUE
    PARENT_FLEX_VALUE_LOW : Independent value for the dependent value sets.
    FLEX_VALUE : Flexfield segment value.
    DESC_FLEX
    Notes:
    - Upload API automatically submits the flexfield compiler request
    - Upload API automatically submits the DFV view generator request
    - APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME is a required argument for download.
    You can find the following parameters in Set Filter screen of Descriptive Flexfields.
    DESC_FLEX has subenities such as DFF_REF_FIELD, DFF_CONTEXT and DFF_SEGMENT.
    Setting value for attributes DESC_FLEX and DESCRIPTIVE_FLEXFIELD_NAME downloads all the subentities.
    If you want to restrict the subentities, set appropriate filter at DFF_REF_FIELD, DFF_CONTEXT
    and DFF_SEGMENT.
    Parameters:
    DESC_FLEX
    | APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME : Application Short Name.
    | DESCRIPTIVE_FLEXFIELD_NAME : Descriptive Flexfield Name.
    |
    +-DFF_REF_FIELD
    | DEFAULT_CONTEXT_FIELD_NAME : BLOCK.FIELD reference field name.
    |
    +-DFF_CONTEXT
    | DESCRIPTIVE_FLEX_CONTEXT_CODE : Context Code
    |
    +-DFF_SEGMENT
    END_USER_COLUMN_NAME : Segment Name
    APPLICATION_COLUMN_NAME : Column Name
    KEY_FLEX
    Notes:
    - Upload API automatically submits the flexfield compiler request
    - Upload API automatically submits the KFV view generator request
    - Upload API automatically submits the structure view generator request
    - APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME is a required argument for download.
    You can find the following parameters in Set Filter screen of Key Flexfields.
    KEY_FLEX has subenities such as DFF_REF_FIELD, DFF_CONTEXT and DFF_SEGMENT.
    Setting value for attributes APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME and ID_FLEX_CODE downloads all the subentities.
    If you want to restrict the subentities, set appropriate filter at KFF_FLEX_QUAL, KFF_SEGMENT_QUAL,
    ,KFF_STRUCTURE,KFF_WF_PROCESS,KFF_SH_ALIAS,KFF_CVR_RULE and KFF_SEGMENT.
    Parameters:
    KEY_FLEX
    | APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME : Application Short Name.
    | ID_FLEX_CODE : Key Flexfield Code.
    |
    +-KFF_FLEX_QUAL
    | | SEGMENT_ATTRIBUTE_TYPE : Flexfield Qualifier Name

    | +-KFF_SEGMENT_QUAL
    | VALUE_ATTRIBUTE_TYPE : Segment Qualifier Name
    |
    +-KFF_STRUCTURE
    | ID_FLEX_STRUCTURE_CODE : Structure Code
    |
    +-KFF_WF_PROCESS
    | WF_ITEM_TYPE : Workflow Item Type
    |
    +-KFF_SH_ALIAS
    | ALIAS_NAME : Shorthand Alias Name
    |
    +-KFF_CVR_RULE
    | FLEX_VALIDATION_RULE_NAME : Cross Val. Rule Name.
    |
    +-KFF_SEGMENT
    SEGMENT_NAME : Segment Name
    APPLICATION_COLUMN_NAME : Column Name
    MENU
    You can find the following parameters in Set Filter screen of Menus.
    PARENT_MENU_NAME Name of the menu to start downloading at. If this
    parameter is specified on its own, that menu and
    all its children will be downloaded. If specified
    with FUNCTION_NAME and/or SUB_MENU_NAME, then only
    the menu entry with that function and/or submenu name
    immediately under the PARENT_MENU_NAME will be
    downloaded.
    FUNCTION_NAME Function name to limit download to. If this parameter
    is specified then PARENT_MENU_NAME must also be
    specified in order to download menus. Specifies
    the function on a menu entry immediately under
    PARENT_MENU_NAME which will be downloaded; all other
    menu entries under PARENT_MENU_NAME will not be
    downloaded.
    SUB_MENU_NAME Sub Menu name to limit download to. If this parameter
    is specified then PARENT_MENU_NAME must also be
    specified in order to download menus. Specifies
    the Sub Menu on a menu entry immediately under
    PARENT_MENU_NAME which will be downloaded (along with
    all its children); all other menu entries under
    PARENT_MENU_NAME will not be downloaded.
    MENU_APP_SHORT_NAME Application short name of Menu. The menu on the resp
    for this application will be downloaded. If you
    pass this parameter, do not pass any of the other
    parameters; this parameter is only supported on its
    own.

    Oh never mind.... I figured it out myself helps to read up on the manuals. d'oh. sorry for the bandwidth waste...

    Thanks

    Hi Raju,
    Try this.  Create another dataprovider within your web template?  This new dataprovider refers to a similar query, but this query definition should restrict values CG1, CG2, CG3 and CG4.  Assign this dataprovider to your checkbox.  Then make sure the properties of the checkbox affect all other dataproviders.
    Also, if this list is static, you could create an HTML checkbox object coding the options (cg1, cg2, cg3, and cg4) programmatically.  Then add javascript code to produce the proper filtering based on the users' selections.
    Let me know what happens.

  • How do I apply a filter to a layer without having a selection affect it?

    I have 3 layers.  I have been working on two, and have a a selection running so I can apply filters on those two.  I now want to add a 3rd layer, and both move it and apply filters to it, but I want the entire new layer affected.  However, the selection I previously made affects the new layer.  If I move it, the selection moves, if I apply a filter, it applies only to the selection.  This is not what I want, as I want to experiment with positioning and filtering this layer behind the selections.  I will have other things to do with the selections as I continue, so I don't want to deselect and lose the selection.  I'm thinking this should be simple, but I cannot find the right "magic words" to find the answer.  How do I get a layer to be independent of a selection on other layers?  The layers are not linked.  Working with CS6.

    Hi nitmd88,
    You've asked a very good question. You can save selections and reuse them over and over again in Photoshop. The way to do that is to save them with the Channel panel. Here's how to do it:
    Create a selection.
    Choose Window > Channels to display the Channels panel. At the bottom of the Channels panel, click the Save Selection button. A new channel will be created. This is an exact replica of the selection you made.
    Now that your selection is saved and can be reactivated at anytime, you can deselect (Select > Deselect) and work on other areas of your image. Anytime you need to activate that selection, simply choose Select > Load Selection and choose the Alpha channel you saved in step 2.
    I hope this helps,
    Luanne

  • Client dependent and client independent in ALE

    I am going through pdf learning of an ALE scenario,i couldnot get wat is meant by client Independent and client dependent.
    How can i conclude
    Create message type (WE81){color:green} Client independent {color}
    To create a new message type, follow these next few steps:
    u2022 Enter transaction WE81 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> Create logical message type)
    u2022 Choose Create logical message type by double clicking on it
    u2022 Click on change icon to enter change mode
    u2022 Click on New entries to add a new type
    u2022 Enter the required message type, in our case it is ZINVRV and an appropriate description
    u2022 Save and exit.
    Your message type has now been created. The next step will be to link it to the IDoc.
    2.2.1. Link message to IDoc type (WE82 & BD69) {color:green} Client independent {color}
    To link the message type to the IDoc type follow these next few steps:
    u2022 Enter transaction WE82 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> EDI: Message Types and Assignment to IDoc Types)
    u2022 Click on change icon to enter change mode
    u2022 Click on New entries to create the link
    u2022 Enter the message type ZINVRV and the BasicIDoc type as ZINVRV01
    u2022 Save and exit
    u2022 Enter transaction BD69 (ALE -> Extensions -> IDoc types -> Maintain message type for intermed. Structure -> Assign message type to IDoc for ALE)
    u2022 Click on change icon to enter change mode
    u2022 Click on New entries to create the link
    u2022 Enter the message type ZINVRV and the BasicIDoc type as ZINVRV01
    u2022 Save and exit
    Your IDoc is now linked to your message type. We still need to link object types and add the message to the model before we can use the message.
    2.2.2. Maintain object type for message type (BD59) Client independent
    The ALE objects are used to create links between IDocs and applications objects, to control the serialisation, to filter messages in the customer model and to use listings.
    For our own message type and IDoc you must maintain object types for the links.
    If you want to check the serialisation for the message type, then you must maintain object types for the serialisation. If no serialisation object has been maintained for a given message type, then the serialisation will not be checked for this message type.
    To add an object type to our message type, follow these next few steps:
    u2022 Enter transaction BD59 (ALE -> Extensions -> ALE object maintenance -> Maintain object types)
    DOC NAME: ALE_SCENARIO_DEVELOPMENT_PROCEDURE
    Version 1 Page 6 of 16
    ALE Scenario Development Guide
    u2022 Type in your message type ZINVRV and press enter
    u2022 Click on New entries
    u2022 Enter your object type, LIFNR (We need to use the vendor as a filter object), the segment name where LIFNR resides, Z1INVRV, a number 1 for the sequence followed by the actual field name LIFNR
    u2022 Save and exit.
    You have now created an object that weu2019ll use as a filter object in the customer model to direct the flow of messages to the various logical systems based on the vendors in the filter of the message type ZINVRV.
    We now need to add our new message type to the distribution model.
    2.3. Configuring the Distribution Model
    This task is performed on your ALE reference client.
    2.3.1. Manual Configuration (BD64) {color:green}  Client dependent {color}
    To manually configure the customer distribution model, read the ALE configuration procedure, and follow these steps:
    u2022 Perform the Maintain customer distribution model directly function. (ALE -> Distribution customer model -> Maintain customer distribution model directly)
    u2022 Specify the customer model you want to maintain and the logical system that is to be the sender of the messages OR create a new model. (Create model ALE with logical system ALELS1C400)
    u2022 Choose the receiving systems to which the sending system must forward message type ZINVRV to.
    u2022 For each receiving logical system allocate the message type necessary for communication to the receiving systems as per ALE configuration procedure.
    u2022 Create filter objects (in our case LIFNR as the object type with the associated vendor number, 0000018001 with leading zeros, in the object area) for the message types.
    u2022 Save the entries.
    Refer my query within color:green

    A client is an independent business unit within an R/3 System, Data in the R/3 are classified as cleint-Dependent and client-independent.
    Client-independent data such as ABAP Programs, R/3 repository objects throught the entire system. Other data is client-dependent. meaning, it can be viewed from one client. Cleint-dependent data includes customizing application and user data.
    Eg.
    Scripts are client dependent, means the changes done to SAP scripts in particular client will not be reflected in other client.
    Smartforms are client independent, means changes done in one client will be reflected in all the clients.
    Server : ECC6
    Client : 100 , 200 , 300 , 400
    Now suppose you have developed report in DV server client 100.
    Then you will be able to see that in all clients.
    Hence this is called as client independent. You can change anywhere and changes will be reflected to all ...
    Now suppose you have developed a script in DV client 100.
    You will not be able to see that in client 200 or 300 or 400 unless ytou copy that from client since it is client dependent.

  • Axis Field filter only appearing in Legend of Pivot Chart

    I was referred here after posting the following on the Office Excel user forum (answers.microsoft.com) I hope I provide all you need, but of course I can provide further details if needed. I am on Windows 7 using Excel 2010.
    Okay here goes! (thanks in advance for any direction you can provide)
    I was creating a PivotChart where I wanted to be able to filter the chart based on the fields I dropped into the "Axis Fields (Categories)" areas section of my PivotTable. This was working fine until I added the filters as slicers, decided
    I didn't like them, and deleted them. Now when I try to view the filter boxes, they will only appear as part of the legend. I do not want to show the legend as it has too many values. I would like to revert to the original behavior of showing the Axis Field
    Buttons at the bottom of the chart, where they appeared originally (Without being associated with the chart legend).
    Anyone know how to restore this behavior?
    It works this way on other chart types, like line and bar. But it no longer works on the type of chart I wanted to use which is a Pie chart. I have opened new instances of Excel and tried to create a Pivot Chart Pie chart and get the same results:
    the axis fields are associated with the chart legend, instead of being available independently.
    Any help that can be provided would be appreciated
    Thanks!!

    I guess you may want to let the Pivot chart shows like the screenshot below:
    If so, you need to add a new column(Equal to the field which you want to put into the AXIS field) to source data, then in the Pivot Table, put this field to the FILTERS .
    This was working fine until I added the filters as slicers, decided I didn't like them, and deleted them
    I don't think this operation you did would change any behavior. Perhaps you can upload this file to a file sharing site and then share the link with us.

  • Filter in adobe bridge to only select Raw files for DNG conversion

    Here's my problem - I have a new DMC TZ70 camera and Lightroom 5.7 doesn't recognise the .RW2 files. I would need to buy LR6! Perhaps later.
    So I thought I will import via bridge and convert to DNG.
    So I open bridge and select the camera - fine - BUT there are files for the Raw images, the same number of JPEGs and some .bdm, .TDT etc files. (e.g. 3 raw + 7 others).
    I can set up a filter to view only the Raw files when I see what files are there in the card folder in Bridge but when I select "get photos from camera" I can either select them all OR deselect and then I need to MANUALLY select the raw files. There doesn't seem to be a way of setting up a filter in the Downloader screen so that Bridge only selects the Raw files for conversion.
    If I let it select all, Bridge converts the RW2 files to DNG but also brings in the jpgs and other files. I can delete these afterwards but this seems an inefficient way to do it.
    Is there any way to manually select the raw files in the photo downloader screen?
    Advice please, thanks, Mel

    Not sure I follow completely, Mel, but Bridge allows you  to View > Sort > Type... which would allow you, after sorting, to click on the first image with a specific extension, then hold down the Shift key to select the last in  the series and  handle them independent of the other files presented.
