Filter on Date

I want to filter out the rows which are less than the 1st of current month. Why could I not use Convert this filter to SQL & use less than trunc(last_day(add_months(current_date,-1)) + 1)?
If I have to use timestampadd, what would be the formula to be used? What would be the best way to achieve my result?

A.) In the RPD, go into your Date Dimension and create a new Logical Column (just in case - Right Click on the Logical Date Table, Select New Object then Logical Column)
B.) Give it a name and check the box where it says "Use Existing Logical Columns as the source"
C.) Add the formula that I showed in my previous post. TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , DAYOFMONTH("Date Column Here") * -(1) + 1, "Date Column Here").
D.) Click Ok. and drag that column into the Presentation Layer.
E.) As a Test, go to Answers, select the Date Column from your date Dimension and filter any date (lets say 15-JAN-09), then when you select your new Logical Column, you'll see that it will always give you the first day of the month of the date that you just filtered (01-JAN-09). :)

How to filter the data in different sections (e.g. Report Footers)?

Hi,
I am using Crystal Reports 11 to generate cross-tables.
I plan to generate 3 cross-tabs, and each cross-table will be put in a section. For example, cross-tab1 in Report Footer a; cross-tab2 in Report Footer b; cross-tab3 in Report Footer c.
I know use "Select Expert" to filter data. But, it seems that "Select Expert" filters data for the whole report.
I want to filter the data for each cross-table separately. For example, filter cross-tab1 based on condition1; filter cross-tab2 based on condition2; filter cross-tab3 based on condition3.
How to filter the data in different sections (e.g. Report Footers)?

Hi,
Now that you've inserted the subreport just right-click the sub-report and click Edit. The Design page for sub-report should open up.
You can now insert the cross-tab on the Report Header and insert a record selection formula of your choice.
Also, suppress all the other sections of the subreport so the Main report only shows the crosstab without any spaces.
Do the same for all the subreports.

Can you filter a date range in Numbers 3.1?

It seems crazy... but I can't figure out how to filter a date range in the new Numbers (3.1). In other words, I have a column with individual dates e.g. 31-Dec-2012, 29-Feb-2013, 19-April-2004, etc.
I want to filter it so that ONLY the dates from 2012 show up.
The thing is that the new filters ONLY seem to let you filter from today's date e.g. between 494 and 692 days from today. Obviously, that isn't what I want, and it seems very wierd that something so basic would be left out.
What am I missing?

In the example below Column A has date values and Column B has a simple filter that displays dates if in year 2012. Pretty simple, likely too simple. Not sure what/how you want to display but thought I'd get something started. The formula in Column B is: IF(YEAR(A2)=2012,A2,""). You can hide column A if desired.

Filter output data according to portal current user name in omni portlet

We have created an omniportlet that connects to a database, and retrives some values into a defined HTML layout.
We want to filter output data according to our portal current user name
When we try to use portal.wwctx_api.get_user inside of omni portlet select statement fallowing error occurs.

hello
i think you cannot use the portal built-in packages inside omni portlets. Omni portlets is designed to connect to other data source (not only oracle) and Portal API might not be available at these data sources. Therefore, you should not be using these Packages at all!. i tried very hard, but to no avail.. Omni portlet has its own repository!! if you cannot pass the infomration as a parameter, then find a different approach

Filter in data view web part using sharepoint designer 2010

i have a scenario that there are 4 column Name, shift time, Location, Date. so i have to create a data view web part using designer.
further conditions are:
1.Shift time should be radio button and filter the data accordingly.
2. Data display only for current date(system date).
3. Group by Location.
i have complete all things except how to display data according current date. its showing all dates result.
So please help me how to give a expression or filter to do this. if you have xslt code then plz let me know.

If i understand it right, you know how to do other bits and want help in displaying data for only current date. on your view you can use filter condition as :
                column: Date
                condition : is equal to
                 value:    [Today]

I got all the project name in dropdown when you select the project name in other textbox the project id will come automatically.
so I want to get only those project name that is assigned to that particular user.
I have
ProjectName(dropdown),
ProjectId(Textbox),
Employee code(Unique value),
employee Id (Unique for particular employee means if User A works on 5 projects so for all 5 projects the employee Id will be same),
Project Id( 5 projects 5 different id)
I didnt get the exact formula or I have to use any javascript code.Any help...

If I am understanding correctly, you want to populate a drop down with values from a list.
Using InfoPath:
right click on the drop down to be populated, and choose drop down list box properties.
add the list with the values as a data source.
click the filter box next to entries.
select the field you want from the other list.
click filter data.
set the filter (click AND if you need more lines).
click OK on any dialogs you need to to get back to the editor.
Test your form.

Filter table data without calling BAPI

Hi all,
How I can filter VC table without calling BAPI or other backend? The objective is to bring a large data only once and allow to user filtering of this data.
The problem is that the filter options are dynamic so I can't use "hidden tables" workarownd.
Any ideas?

Hi,
I think this is not possible, because you can only filter the data once with the filter element. If you use a BI query you can use filters. Maybe you can bring the data to a hidden table and get the data again from this table with different filter elements resp. dynamic filter values, but I think this is very tricky and not a good solution.

i have to filter some data from the table with 1millions rows in it.
here the requirement
for example table is TEST

now i just want to display the results which contains type c only if id is with also connected other than c than i dont want to dislplay that results
so my result will look like .here i dont want to disply id 33 because some the id with 33 are connected with type other than c.

How to filter VO data based on user access

Can anyone help me with an approach for the below case.
Once a user logs in, we want to show them a list of various Company(s) and Role(s) that they have access to(this comes from a custom Table).Based on the selection they make here, we would like to filter the data(Here company is very much like ORG_ID in Oracle EBS).So how do I apply this criteria across all VOs once the selection is made so that user sees a specific company data only.Also the Role would be used to enable and disable few fields(regions) on the forms.How do we approach getting this done too.Again as in Oracle EBS,this is more like, SPEL in OAF.

I have made some progress and but I am stuck with an issue now.Please let me know what am I missing here.
Approach:
1. Once a user logs in, I display the various operating companies that he has access to as a Table region.As he selects a row in this table, I set a pageFlowscope variable.I am able to display the value also as he selects various companies from the table region displayed.
2. Now I created a bounded Task flow(BTF) which has a default method activity(ExecuteWithparams) which would take a company as a paramter(bind var) and I have set this to use the pageFlowscope variable referred above.And after this method it goes to a view which displays data for that company data.
3. Now I dragged and dropped this BTF as a region onto my page.
Problem: When I run the actual page it says "No data to display" in the BTF region. But there is data in the database for that company.How can I fix this issue or what is it that I am doing wrong.Please help.

I need to apply filter on Row Group in report based on last hour data from current hour .
I'm using;
=Datepart("h",dateadd("H",-1,now))
On Row Group
but it does not show any row.
but When i used ;
=Datepart("h","2013-12-20 01:00:00")
It Works ..
Kindly help me how can i filter row data to Show Last Hour data.

I have 2 blocks, Query and Detail block.
Based on search criteria from query block the details are displayed in detail block.
Now i want to filter display data in Detail block by adding org_id condition through form personalization.
I would like to know if its possible by form personalization.

How to filter the data on Reports from collected from differnet Agents

1) I have to write a Plug-in which would fetch the same type of data from 7 Agents. I need to generate the report for each Agent separately,This plug-in will be deployed in various different environment. So I will not know the host name as it will be deployed different environment. Can anyone suggest how to filter the data for each agent from the table. I see one solution of using Bind variable for the Target GUID in PL/SQL file. Can you please suggest if there is any other better way of doing this.????
Also Can you please suggest what are the best ways to debug the OEM Plug-in?

What I mean filtering data means displaying data for each Agent Seperatly. Assume I have collected Filesystem data from 5 Agents (5 different server). Now I want do display file system data for Agent1 (server 1). How would I fetch it from MGMT$Metric_Current. Currently I use a bind variable
??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? to filter the data for a Agent from MGMT$Metric_Current view. I compare Target Name entered while deploying Plug-in with the Target_Name column of specified view.Is there any other way of fetching data from this table for a Agent?
I hope I am prety clear now. My Problem is IO dont want to force user to enter exact Server name while deploying Plug-in.

I use the recordset command and a doquery.
I find it easier to use than the condition object.
if you need to pass the bp code to the new form, read the value from the bp master data record and then pass it to the new form.
If you use xml you can pass it right after you call the form.

Filter static data

Hi,
is it possible to filter static data.
I use static data connector to provide data to fill a drop down list for a prototype.
I want to be able to filter the static data according to the input value sent into the service.
Is this possible using static data . When I connect the filter to the static data operator , there is no fields available to choose from.

ADF Unable to filter / sort date column in table

I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.
I have a read only table inside a panel collection. One of the columns in the table is a date field. I have filterable and sortable properties set to true for all columns. Filter and sort property works for all columns expect the date column. The filter and sort options is not even shown for the date field (shown below).

As mentioned by Timo, for me also the filtering is working as usual.
But while browsing through the ADF UI Guide I came across with below note
If you want to use a component other than an inputText component for your filter (for example, an inputDate component), then instead of setting filterVisible to true, you can add the needed component to the filter facet.
To do so:
1. In the Structure window, right-click the column to be filtered and choose Insert inside af:column > JSF Core > Filter facet.
2. From the Component Palette, drag and drop a component into the facet.
3. Set the value of the component to the corresponding attribute within the FilterableQueryDescriptor class created in Step 1(not above step but you can find it in pg:390). Note that the value must take into account the variable used for the row, for example:
#{af:inputDate label="Select Date" id="name" value="row.filterCriteria.date"}.
This is in the section: 12.5.1 How to Add Filtering to a Table(pg:390).
