Filter View Not Filtering

I have an InfoPath Forms Library in which I need to filter some views. The first one being Client Status, which is a drop down box with the choices of Open, Suspended, Warrant, and In Custody.
I created a view that I want to only show the Open items. First I used the Filter to say show only the items that Client Status is equal to Open. This brought back zero results. I did a copy & paste so I know Open is correct & no
hidden spaces, etc.
Then I tried to do the opposite and filtered if Client Status is NOT equal to Suspended, Warrant, and In Custody using the AND as well as th OR options. This filter brought back everything, filtering nothing.

Hello Jeannie,
Where you are putting filter (in infopath form or in form library view)? If you are setting filter in form library then what is value of that column. I mean could you tell us the form library columns name and their values.
I suspect that there is mismatch in column value that's why filter is not working.

Avdanced Table Views Not Filtering

I have an issue with an advanced table's views. The filters defined for the views are not applied to the data when the view is applied.
I can save the views fine but when I open the view all the available data is listed instead of just the data that should be shown based upon the view that was saved.
I'm thinking that either the view did not save the criteria that was entered and run prior to choosing to save the view or that the view isn't applying the criteria to the VO.
Any ideas would be helpful.
Also, when choosing to create the view the shuttle for including or excluding table columns does not show up. Any thoughts as to why this is the case?

Butterworth filter is not filtering data properly

Hello,
I am trying to use a low-level Butterworth filter to filter some data. I am sampling the data at 100 samples per second so I have been using this as the sampling frequency. I have also initialized the filter so that it will theoretically work continuously. After playing around with different cut off levels, to no success, I wanted to see if my data was simply passing through the filter correctly... which it isn't. I have read related postings on "High Pass Filter Settings [NEW]" and I am thinking that my sample rate is not passing correctly to my filter.
Does anyone have any idea why this would be the case... or how to fix my problem. Eventually I would like to differentiate this data...
I've included my LabView VI (the filter is in the first while loop). I am using LabView 7.1 with PC-CARD DAS16/16AO

The purpose of my LabView program is to read in a variable sine wave (which represents a swinging leg), measure the torque, position and angles over time and be able to adjust a motor on the fly. My purpose in filtering is to allow for a smoothly differentiated signal. If I differentiate without a filter… my signal is a mess. The nominal waveshape is a sine wave and the frequencies and magnitudes of the signal vary with each trial. Generally though, the frequency of the signal is 1.5 Hz or less. The peak to peak amplitude for the analog out channel from an optical encoder (which measures the leg angle) is approximately 70 degrees (1.94V). It is necessary to have the differentiated and filtered “angular velocity” in sync with the other channels to know the effect of the change in the motor speed at different points in the cycle. I will be analyzing this data mainly after it has been collected, so the precision on the charts while it is running is not too important.
I’ve tried modifying my VI so that you will be able to see it, but since my signal is continuous “making the current values default” freezes my VI at one point in time... so my simplified VI doesn’t run as the more complete one did.
I have also briefly looked into a Savitzky Golay filter that differentiates and filters simultaneously, but I haven’t had much luck getting it to work.
Any suggestions?

Per my knowledge,
it is by design that the data type multiple lines of text can only use “contains” and “begins with” operators.
You can also filter the list view using SharePoint Designer,
Open your list AllItem.aspx page in SPD ->click “Filter” > in “Field Name” select your multipe line of text field, in “Comparison” will displayed four choices.

Filter view with session variable does not display value properly.

Hi All,
I have a very unique issue and I am not sure if anyone ran into this before.
I have a prompt in my dashboard and a link to a report. The session variable default the value to the current value (term)
when I click the link to the report I get the following value, on the filter view of the report: Term Code Desc is equal to NQ_SESSION.CSA_Analysis_Term
however if I click the go button in the prompt I get the value: Term Code Desc is equal to 2030 (2011 Spring)
does anyone have a solution to this issue

Having trouble with my filters in the filter gallery not all working on the image.

Bas relief filter is not adjusting all the layers. It is applying the filter to a white screen. The underlying image does not show through. I did this successfully yesterday - can't figure out what went wrong.
The image is in RGB color, 8 bit, and I've tried to do this in both TIFF and PSD formats.
I have been creating images by opening the image and then immediately going into the bas relief filter and applying the filter. This time, when i do that, the preview image in the filter panel goes completely white. I can see very, very faintly that there is the design in there, as though the design is hidden well behind a thick layer of white. I adjust the sliders, and it doesn't help.
To make matters worse, it's doing this for a few of the filters! Some of them work just fine, and some don't!
Where I used to be able to go through the entire filter gallery and see how every filter would love on an image, now many of them just show a white screen when I try to apply them, so I know that it's not only the bas relief filter.
I have a job to turn out - so I need to figure out what I've done wrong!

duplicate. Is there a way that I can go into the other file and see the
color settings for foreground and background that existed prior to the
change and duplicate them?
I was working on several different files that look quite similar, as I was
adjusting the color to have lighter varations. They all started out the
same, though.
It looks like the File>Info shows the process of changes, and I would love
to know what the settings were before the changes- what the settings were
when I opened the file.

How to change the display name in the filter view

Hi,
I have one column "*Year*" and type in case when 1=2 then "product_d"."name" else "calendar_d"."year" end.
I add a filter view for it. but when I select, like 2010, it will display"case when 1=2 then "product_d"."name" else "calendar_d"."year" end" is equal to 2010.
So how can I change it to "Year is equal to 2010"?
Any one have any idea about this?

You will find they are different.
BASED ON THAT you have two table product_d and calendar_d AND they are related by one Fact table.
THEN When you type in

IT WILL SHOW U TWO different RESULTS.

AnneWhy not use two filters in your request? Have something like this:
product_d.name IS NOT NULL
AND
calendar.year IS PROMPTED?
...instead of using a CASE statement? This way you can have both filters show the way they should in a meaningful way.

How to hide filter view calculations in answers in obiee 11g?

I have a requirement to hide the "CASE WHEN" statements which are there in the filter view while viewing the report in Dashboard. User dont want to see the calculation part in filter view instead they just want to see the selected dashboard prompt value. For e.g

therefore user wants only the bold text value(table name"."column name) to be displayed only not the calculation at front end.

try this, It seemed to have worked for me..
Below was my case statement

ELSE 0 END)=1
I used it as a column in my analysis with the following formula
(CASE WHEN '@{var_brand}' = 'Value1' and "Compl"."RecTypeId" IN (5,8,9) THEN 1
WHEN '@{var_brand}' = 'Value2' and "Compl"."RecTypeId" IN (11,12,13) THEN 1
ELSE 0 END)
and I made a change to the name of the column in the analysis using custom column headings and put it as "Brand"
and now put a filter on this column and filtered it for for the value 1
and my filters view now shows the column Name "Brand" instead of the Case Statement..
See if this process works for you..

Reg Filter View in Combined Request OBIEE11g

Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to show the filter view in a combined request. Currently we have achieved the same but putting another request but the issue when the download of the request happens the filter view is not downloaded and it has to be downloaded separately. We are using OBIEE11g(11.1.1.6.9).
Please advise if there is any workaround to achieve this functionality so that download of results and filter view can be achieved in one shot. Thanks.

Customize Filter View in OBIEE 11g

Hi,
Is there any way to customize the filter view? My requirement is not to show formulas that are used in Analysis in the “Filter view”. All analysis that we create should go with Filter Views at the bottom and Users should not see the formulas.
Example:
Column Formula:
FILTER (sales.sales USING products.product =’Electronics’)
If I filter the above column, it shows something like this:
FILTER (sales.sales USING products.product =’Electronics’) is Prompted.
What is need to show in the filters is the Title of the column i.e. Electronics Sales.

Power View Cross-Filtering

In Power View, if you have a bar/column/map visualization with a hierarchy (such as category, sub-category) along with other charts of any kind.
If you double click on a column to drill from category to sub-category, no cross-filtering happens. This is confusing because the column chart is drilled into the "bikes" category for example, but all the other charts/tables are not filtered by the
same category.
This bug is present in "Microsoft Connect"
with this title : Power View Cross-Filtering
I added there also my own comment: In my opinion people "always" expect drilling down also cross-filter other visualizations.
Anyway it will be a good solution to have a "button" to activate or deactivate the cross-filter drill down on the canvas.
It will be solved or not?

Filter View - Error

Hi everyone, i have noticed a strange behavious of Filter Views in the Dashboard.
When i click on the view link on my dashboard, the referenced filters are not visible. This happened only for a single filter, while the other filters shows fine.
In the lower left hand side pane i see this message:
1. javascript:void(null)
2. Error on page...
3. When I click on the error, i have this message popped up
" Line: 1309
Char: 4
Error: 'SubQueryFilterEditor.opArray' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: httssssss://obi-dev.digitalriver.com/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard&_scid=gJe0qy*qkjc

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to update the status of this weird behavious of Filter Views. I did not do any thing specific in my browser, except deleting the temp files and cookies. The next time when I loged into the BI Dashboard, the filter views seems to work fine. I dont see the error: Javascript:null

Table Sort/Filter does not include in-memory data

I've been developing a custom shuttle component and an issue came up regarding sort/filter property of the leading af table prior to inserts.
Just a quick setup:
Left table's row/s gets shuttle (inserted) to right table by creating a viewobjectrow and inserting that to it's designated viewobject, executequery after that is called.
The issue i've encountered is that once i've added that row (in-memory), when i try to sort or filter that table that has the new rows, it seems that it only sorts the original rows that was queried from the database. The same goes for the filter, it only filters those that were originally queried.
So far, it only joins the sorting/filtering whenever i force commit it before filter/sort.
I've also tried creating my own criteria and adding that in my query binding, didn't help though.
I've also tried using vo.setQueryMode and use scan view... i'm not sure if i'm using it right but it would give me either wrong filters or crash my app.

I read a similar article using the querymodes and i've been playing with it to see how it affects my rows.
My problem arises whenever i up/down sort of the af table. I tried overriding executeQueryForCollection in the viewobjectimpl and setting
this.setQueryMode(QUERY_MODE_SCAN_DATABASE_TABLES |
QUERY_MODE_SCAN_ENTITY_ROWS);
but by the time i hit the sort on the table, it ends up not sorting anything at all.
I did use the sorting upon insert and that sorts those in memory, but by the time i use the sort on the table component the results would show the inmemory rows first, and database rows sorting in the bottom.

Named Criteria for Table Not Filtering on Page Load

I'm tying to create a filtered table using named view criteria (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24382_01/web.1112/e16182/web_search_bc.htm#BABBCHIH).
I create the Named Criteria; I drag from the Named Criteria from the Data Control onto the page; I select ADF Read-Only Filtered Table option. I run the page and much to my chagrin, the table is not filtered. A table with all results, plus a filter box with a value "S" (my named criteria filter value), is displayed.
Shouldn't the results already be filtered upon page load?
The filter works correctly when I run tests in my AppModule.

I've found a workaround.
I drag and drop the VO (unfiltered) from the Data Control and select read-only table. In my pageDef, I select the table's binding and check the "Enable Filtering" box. I then select the attribute to filter on and the applicable filter text.
The table then displays filtered results on page load.
However, I only see this working for very simple filtering (i.e. one column with simple filter requirements). It should be nice to know why dragging and dropping Named View Criteria onto the page does not automatically filter table results on page load.
