Filtering out specific language in mapping

Hi all,
I have an interface IDoc -> PI -> Legacy file system (XML file). There is a string field in source and target messages of the mapping. This field may contain text in English or non-English language. Assume that combination of both will not occur. The legacy file system can accept only English characters. So is it possible to filter out the non-English language and allow only English ? In other words, if the incoming text is in English, it should be mapped ahead. But if it's non-English, then the target field should be mapped with blank.
It's not feasible to filter out non-English language in source system, as there are some other parties that do want non-English data from that system. Pls advise if there is any easy way to accomplish this in PI. Thanks in advance!

Need help on filtering out one record from a report and open in new page

Hi I am new and embarrassed to write in the forum asking silly questions. Thing is I am learning all from scratch without help from anyone. I have created a database (have previous knowledge only from Access) and have managed to create a beautiful report from a search filter. This report lines up several records matching what I needed. Now, I want to make the whole report with hyperlinks to a detailed page on each of the records in the report. I have tried using the feature where one can make one column hyperlinked and redirect to a new page, where I am getting all the records again - instead of only getting the record I am clicking on. I have looked and looked in the forums without finding solution and I have tested and tried various methods without luck. I am suspecting that I need some sort of knowledge on how to write a select query with where conditions that can apply to filtering out a record from one report to get another detailed on only one object (i.e. record). :/ Stupid or what?

What you need to look into is two things:
1) The link you defined, needs to set additional attributes for the target page. In the "Column Link" box, you have set the link to "Page in this Application" and followed by the page number (let's say, Page 10). Below that, you should set an Item to an item on you target page (let's call that P10_PRODUCT_ID). This item should be the primary key of your detail table (on the targe page). You can select this item from the popup list. The Value of the item should be picked from a popup list as well, being the value from the record you clicked on. This should then transfer your selected item to your page. The URL will then have something like P10_PRODUCT_ID:5 at the end.
2) On the target page, 10, you must change the query slightly, so that it adds a WHERE clause:
WHERE PRODUCT_ID = :P10_PRODUCT_ID
Now, you should be set.

I tried this Finder drag method & discovered that it is very important to set the blank TextEdit document to plain text before the drag (from the format menu or with Cmd-shift-t). If you don't, TextEdit attempts to load the content of the files!
Once I discovered this, I tried the method with Find (Cmd-F) results & it works for that, too. This means that by choosing the right combination of search location(s) & search criteria, you can extend the method to filter the list to just about any files you want, which could be very handy.
For instance, set the "Kind" criteria to "QuickTime Movie" & location to "Computer" & you get a list of every QT movie. Or set the search location to the folder containing the movies of interest & you get all of them, including ones in subfolders. You could also use the 'date created' or other search criteria to filter the list to a specific subset of movies (or whatever).
If you need to do this often, you could create one or more 'Smart Folders' with the criteria preloaded for each search.
The only drawback I see for either Finder based method is the full path one. If you are getting results from just one or a few folders, Find & Replace can delete any of the path name fairly easily, but it becomes a chore if there are a lot of different ones. Some other text editor, like TexEdit Pro, that supports grep searches would be handy here, but since I'm not up to speed on grep, someone else will have to explain how to use it for this, if they want.

Select it, choose Get Info from the File menu, and look at the Where section. If it's a document you have open somewhere besides the Finder, command-click its name in the window's title bar.

Specific language for a specific app ?

Hi all,
I've been a mac user for a few decades, but I now come across a specific need for the first time.
Is there an easy way to make it so that a specific App (Logic Pro X as a matter of fact) opens up in a specific language (English) while the preferred language in System Prefs is different (French) so that all other apps open in French by default?
I know of a way to have LPX opening in English by changing the preferred language to English in the Systems Prefs, but I have to (remember to) manually change this setting in the System Prefs every time before I open it, and change it back every time after closing it to keep using the rest of my Mac in French.
What I'm looking for is a specifi feature (or Utility) that would enable me to specify that LP X must use English language (countrary to all other apps) once and for all, without having to suffer this manual hassle every time. Preferably, I'd rather not "delete" all other languages but English from the LP X package (just in case I would need to use it in French at some point in the future ; I know, I ask for a lot here).
Any idea how to achieve this?

Tom, kudos to you, this indeed solved it!
Contrary to my post above, on second thought I went to the Terminal solution first, so as to directly amend default settings, by fear that if I swapped the lproj folder names in the app package this might cause funny little things later on if I update the app to a new version with new functionalities, extra menus, whatever (with consequent additions to these folders; I'm not really sure how an app is updated from v.10.0.9 to v 10.1 for instance...).
It did it marvelously. The thing to know, for newbies to these things like myself, in case one would read this later on :
If the app name includes spaces - such as Logic Pro X - make sure to include \ before each of them - such as Logic\ Pro\ X otherwise the command line won't work.
Real command line example would therefore be:
defaults write -app Logic\ Pro\ X AppleLanguages -array en
Safest is to drag & drop the app icon to an empty Terminal window first, which will display the full app path including its exact name Terminal-wise (including a .app extension which must not be included in the app name as per the command line above).
This helped my, I hope it will help others as well.

ArchWiki Atom/Rss feeds in specific language

ArchWiki has atom/RSS "Recent changes" feeds.
How can I get feed of recent changes made in specific languages only?
For example feed of recent changes in English topics and another feed of recent changes in Russian topics.
Without changes in Italian, German, Chines, etc.

Unfortunately RSS feeds do not synchronize. Hopefully Apple will add this in the future. It seems as though this would be fairly simple to include so I'm optimistic that it will eventually show up. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

EHP5 - Counntry specific language for users in ESS

We are using EHP5 and facing problem while enabling country specific language for users in ESS .
Here we have .
u2022     Made language field blank in JCO
u2022     Have maintained country specific language in SU01-Default and in UME
u2022     We have maintained country specific language in browser u2026also .
u2022     We have maintained entry in IMG (SAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005 )
But itu2019s not working for us either in portal or in NWBC ( we have both connection available to our sandbox ). Other than English it works only for Germen (but not completely few services still appears in English e.g My processes )
Your advice will be greatly appreciated .

Thanks for your reply . I checked language packages in SMLT and here we have status for all languages other than English and German is yellow ( Warning ) Also
for NWBC in role menu only display translation options is available only for English and German and hence we have asked basis team to look into this ..Will keep you posted .

I'm trying to find all podcasts in a specific language. It seems to be quite impossible to do.

Not impossible - but very difficult. Try here http://www.podcastdirectory.com/language/ to begin with.
If that doesn't provide you with enough results, try Googling "Podcasts in <language of your choice>", although it will depend which language you're interested in. (Didn't work for me in the language I chose, but you may have better luck.)
Try radio stations that broadcast in the language and see if they have any Podcasts you can subscribe to.
By the way, if you do find Podcasts (but not in the iTunes Store), you need to copy the Podcast Feed URL and paste it into iTunes in the *Advanced/Subscribe to Podcast* box.

Pass Prompt values into Legend / '-ALL-' filter filters out all records

I have 2 questions for the same chart so I hope it's OK to add them in one post.
Firstly I have created a chart & added three Select List filters which work fine, the query is below, problem is that when I change back to '-ALL-' I get no data, it has filtered out all records as no data matches the value of '-ALL-' does anyone know the code to get around this?
My chart query;
select null link, P_MONTH AS MONTH, SUM(CALLS) AS data
from DATA.MAIN_DATA
WHERE WAREHOUSE = :P1_WAREHOUSE
AND ANS_UNANS = :P1_ANS_UNANS
AND PRODUCT = :P1_PRODUCT
GROUP BY P_MONTH
As I will have several queries like the one above for different options on the same chart, I would like the Legend to show what the user has chosen each time the options are changed ie;
Something like the bolded text in the query to display the chosen values in the legend;
select null link, P_MONTH AS MONTH, SUM(CALLS) AS 'P1_WAREHOUSE' || 'P1_ANS_UNANS' || 'P1_PRODUCT'

I'm having some problems with applying this so it may be best if I show you how I've applied this code.
Here's an example of my data on a made up 'EMP' table;

So I'm only using one table - 'EMP'
I've created 2 LOVs, 'DEPTNO' & 'DNAME'.
'DEPTNO' LOV has the values for the 'DEPTNO' field in the table.
'DNAME' LOV has the values for the 'DEPARTMENT' field in the table.
I then created a chart with the below SQL query as its source;
SELECT NULL LINK,ENAME LABEL,SAL VALUE
FROM EMP
WHERE (DEPTNO = :P1_DEPTNO OR :P1_DEPTNO = 0)
ORDER BY ENAME
The 'Chart Title' field under the 'Chart Attributes' tab has the below added;
Department - &P1_DNAME.
The COMPUTATION is as below;
SLECT NVL(DEPARTMENT, '-ALL-')
FROM EMP
WHERE DEPTNO = :P1_DEPTNO
Could you advise where I may be going wrong as I have the following errors;
1. The chart is working OK with the added '(DEPTNO = :P1_DEPTNO OR :P1_DEPTNO = 0)' clause - but I still get no results for '-ALL-'
2. I can't get the chart to display the current value in the legend - where exactly should I put this line - 'Department - &P1_DNAME.'
3. The Computation is stopping any data from showing in the chart

LINUX compiled fmx: Specific language characters showed as "?"

Hi:
I develop under windows IDS 9i and compile forms in Linux with f90genm.sh. The problem is that specific language characters such as "cgsmb" etc, are showed as "?" !
What's wrong ? It's a bug or a non-functionality in FMB files between plataforms ?

Is it possible that your font on Linux doesn't contain those characters? Using that font in another application, can you see those characters? If so, what happens when you copy-and-paste them into Forms?

Actually it is not useful in manual inspection lot because manual inspection lot used to check your quality of material at any movement.
Means for example your raw material is in store department but some time you suspect something about quality & you take decision to check quality of material that time it can be used. So in this case result record is mandatary,
Because your intention to create lot to checked material so not use ful without specification .
Also not any posting happening through this lot.just to check the material at any instance.
For any further clarification revert me back.
Some time client want to create lot but do not want to take results for that just they are interested in giving
UD & stock posting in that case you can remove tick task list required .This requirement mostly demanded for certain Engg items they do not want go material directly to unrestricted. it will go through UD.
But manual inspection lot I do not think it much useful.

Ruling/filtering out Activities due for shipping

Hello.
First time poster. Tried to search the forums for a solution, but couldn't find apparently.
In our company, the warehouse has the responsibility of printing out activities, but we would like to filter out any entries that does not have sufficient stock available. As per now, we see a growing list of orders that won't print simply because we do not have the needed materials. We also see orders of return - which is not our responsibility.
So, is there an option of ruling or filtering out, so that we only see activities due for shipping with available materials?

Standard/default CalcRuleDefltDlvCrDt is 2-Today and tomorrow, which will include sales doc due for delivery within Today & Tommorrow.
(Where, Rule for determining default value for deliv. creation date = CalcRuleDefltDlvCrDt)
You can also use
3 for *Due for shipment by the end of next week ( past-due delivs)*+
4 for Due for shipment tomorrow (includes past-due deliveries)
