Filtering Tuples at Syndicator

Hi,
I want to syndicate only the specific tuple values at syndicatorbased on the remote system
Example : I have 2 remote systems R1, R2 and tuple with 5 fileds .
Key tuple field contains 2 values T1- Specific to R1, T2 - Specific to R2
The record contains both the tuple values and it is available for both Remote systems
When i syndicate for R1, the record syndicates with both T1 and T2 values, ideally it should syndicate only T1
I have tried the following to filter the Tuple values :
1. Provided key mapping for these Tuple value - Not solving the issue
2. Tried to write expression, but unfortunately the tuple lookup values are not available in the expression lookup
Can you please help me to resolve this issue
We are able to filter it at PI level, but i would want to filter it at the syndicator side itself
Regards,
Antony

Hi Antony,
We cannot filter the tuple records based on the remote system.
This can be achieved using the qualified lookup table instead of tuple.

  • Issue in Mapping Tuples in Syndicator

    Hi,
    I am not able to map the Tuple ( Multivalued) to the target fields in Syndicator.
    Currently in XSD the target field  is kept as unbounded
    Kindly tell the settings which needs to be done at the XSD
    Regards,
    Antony

    Hi Antony,
    If the tuple is multi valued and the destination to which you are mapping is not multi valued, then we cannot map those 2 fields in the syndicator.
    As you said it is an xsd, go the destination items tab and select the target segment/field and see if the option "Repeatable XML node" is ticked or not.
    If not then tick the check box and then this segment/field will also be multivalued and mapping will be allowed.

  • Filter Qualified Link Checkbox set for tuples, But syndicated all Recs

    Hello MDM Gurus,
    With Reference to the answer below.. we have tuples and we are doing the same, but still we are getting all three links in the syndicated file.
    I have tested this using flat syndication file.
    Original Thread
    Hello all!
    Here is an issue we are working on. We would like to syndicate entries from a qualified lookup table for a particular customer, but only those where a certain qualifier has a specific value. For example:
    Qual Table:
    Non-Qual1; Non-Qual2; Qualifier.
    Entries:
    "AA", "123", "Yes"
    "BB", "123", "No"
    "CC", "456", "Yes"
    So, when I syndicate this customer record, I would only like to syndicate those entries where the Qualifer = "Yes".
    "Supress Unchanged Records" only works on the whole customer record and if the Search Criteria is set for "Qualifer = "YES", then it chooses the record (correctly), but syndicates all entries from the table.
    Answer
    Try using
    Filter Qualified Links in the Map Properties of the Syndicator.
    If activated, syndication results contain only the data selected in the Selection Pane.
    Tick the check box under the Value Column for that property. By default that check box is not selected. You have to check it.
    This works similar to the 'Filter' check box of the MDM Data Manger.
    Limitation as of SP04
    - One Global setting per map for qualified links plus one global setting per map for multi-valued lookups.
    Please help us to resolve this issue. your input will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance.

    I need to synidate all customer records regardless of contacts linked to the customer.
    A customer can have one to many contacts.  There are several contact functions such as Primary, Sold To, Owner, etc.
    When I syndicate the customer, I need to syndicate all Customer main table data and include Contact data only if the Contacts function = Primary, otherwise the contact data should be null in the syndiation.
    A customer may have no contacts --> Syndicate Customer main table data, contact data is null
    A customer may have theee contacts:  1 = primary, 2 = ship to, 3 = owner  --> Syndicate Customer main table data and Primary contact data
    A customer may have two contacts:  1 = ship to, 2 = owner  --> Syndicate Customer main table data, contact data is null (since no Primary contact exists)
    I hope this clarifies the requirement.
    thanks
    Tammi

  • Restrict Tuples Records while syndicating

    Hello Gurus,
    We are trying to syndicate Main table values with tuple values, we have a issue restrcting/filtering some of the records in the tuples table by using search tab - filter qualified link option in syndicator. it still shows up all records in the tuples after syndicating.  Would you please advice how to restrict some of the records in the tuples table using condition.
    Thank you very much in advance.

  • WAAS - Some connections optimized, some not (mostly PT In Progress)

    Hello,
    I have an issue with WAAS acceleration. I have two sites, each one has
    a WAE apliance. I do the traffic redirection with WCCP v2. Topology
    picture is attached. Between remote and central site there are two GRE
    tunnels, Tunnel 31 is primary, Tunnel 22 is backup and used only if
    primary is down. When acceleration between locations is correct,
    the traffic routing for remote clients leads from LAN to remote R1 -
    tunnel - central R1 and to servers and vice versa. A couple days ago,
    the routing at the remote site was changed. Nowadays, the traffic leads from
    servers to the client through central R1 - tunnel - remote R1 - remote R3
    to LAN L3 switch. But after this switch, there is only one active way
    between sites, no asymmetric routing. After some changes made in
    network, acceleration does not work properly.
    Approximately one thirth of the traffic is optimized, the rest is
    passed-through by various reasons (mostly PT In Progress)
    The list of active sessions is also attached.
    I cannot figure out the reason of such behaviour. The traffic on both
    sites is redirected correctly by WCCP. I do not know whether these
    changes have something in common with occurrence of these errors in
    acceleration. I suppose that the traffic which leads back to clients
    through remotes R1 and R3 is redirected twice... Remotes R1/R2/R3 are
    connected to remote WAE by common VLAN as you can notice at attached
    picture.
    When you have any idea what I should check or what might be the
    problem in acceleration, I would be very grateful If you let me know.
    Thank you in advance.
    Jozef

    Hi Rahul,
    thank you for reply. GW for central WAE is WAE VLAN interface on central R1, GW for remote WAE is WAE VLAN interface on remote R1.

  • Can MDM web service search results be filtered by tuple values?

    We are currently working with MDM 7.1 SP03 and Netweaver 7.0. Right now, there is a requirement to return a material record from MDM to a Web Dynpro form using the MDM search web service. The other requirement is that the form user can search for a material using material number, sales org and dist channel. Currently, the results include all sales org/dist channel combinations in the material record. Is there a way to filter the results so that only the specified sales org and dist channel are returned to the form by using the web service? For example, if a material record has 2 sales orgs with different dist channels and the user is only interested in one, is it possible for the web service to return the material record and only the one sales org? Or, does this need to be handled by the form? Thanks for any input.

    Hello Steven,
    currently there is no filter functionality in MDM Web services 7.1 for tuple values or qualified
    lookup values.
    For the next MDM release we are planning to have a new operation for retrieving multi tuple
    values as standalone operation, by which the user will be able to filter the
    tuple values by member field's criteria.

  • Syndicate only certain Tuple Records

    Hi Experts,
    We are using MDM 7.1 SP03. Is there any way that I can syndicate only certain tuple records?
    Example:
    Customer Master has two Purchase Organization records inside a multi-valued Purchase Organization Tuple. One record uses Purchase Org code = 4100 and the other record uses Purchase Org = 4005. Is there any way to syndicate out only the Purchase org record with code 4100?
    I have tried to use the filtering options in the syndicator: Filter Qualified Links and Filter Multi-valued Lookup fields. This does not work.
    I have the search parameters set to Customer records with Purchase org = 4100, and the customer record has two tuple records (4100 and 4005) the syndicator will push out both records. I only want the 4100 record to push out. Please help!

    Senario: I export this entire record out using the syndicator. When importing into a different repository is there a way that i can ignore the segment with Company Code 4005, and only create the segment for company code 4100? It would be great to be able to handle this automatically....any sugestions? I need to be able to filter out certain company code records from importing, since there is no way to filter out during syndication, can this be handled using the Import Manager?

  • Not getting Tupples in the proper format in Syndicator

    Hi,
    I am working on SAP MDM 7.1 SP04. When I am trying to open a repository which contains 2 main tables in syndicator, the tuples does not show me the fields available in them. I mean tuples are just showing up as a single field (with pink flower indication and no plus sign). But tuples contain several fields.
    Has anyone experienced this problem before?
    Regards,
    Indraveer

    Hi,
    This is a know bug by SAP in SP04.
    Please use the following workaround.
    As a temporary workaround, please try the following steps:
    1. After choosing non-default main table in the Syndicator UI, you need
    to save that map despite the child items still being placed under wrong
    parents. Don't do any other change to the map, just save it right after
    switching the source table.
    2. Close the map.
    3. Then, load the saved map. The map validation code will fix it
    automatically.
    Now you can modify the map as necessary (create/modify destination
    items, change properties, map items, etc).
    Thanks,
    Priya.

  • SSRS report with tabular model - MDX query to filter parameter data based on Tuple value.

    Hello Everyone,
    I am working on SSRS report in which a tabular model is being used as a backend.
    I want to filter the report parameters which are dependent to other parameters. Like, country, state, and cities drop downs.
    All are multi-select parameters. I am using MDX queries to filter the parameters data.
    Based on selected one or more countries, the data of states needs to be filtered.
    The point is the text which is being displayed in state dropdown for each state name is combination of 3 different members.
    So, I created the following Tuple for the same and can see the expected display names in states dropdown.
    "("+
    [Location].[Code 1].CURRENTMEMBER.UNIQUENAME +","+
    [Location].[Code 2].CURRENTMEMBER.UNIQUENAME +","+
    [Location].[Descr].CURRENTMEMBER.UNIQUENAME +")"
    Now, when I would like filter the cities data based on selected one or more states, I am unable to pass the multiple Tuples (more than one selected Tuples) as parameter for cities dropdown.
    The following is my query for City parameter. It is working well when I select only one State from the dropdown.
    However, when I select multiple states, it is unable to convert the Tuple into SET in ELSE part of IIF condition specified in following query.
    Can anybody help me how to resolve the error that I am getting about STRTOSET function?
    Or
    Are there any other alternatives to achieve this requirement?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Tuple Record deleted in MDM does not reflect in ECC

    Hello Experts,
    We have a scenario for central creation of Material master data in SAP MDM 7.1 and syndication to SAP ECC system. We are using tuples for Long text & Alternate unit of measure.
    The problem is as below:
    If we create a material with 1 or more tuple records for Long text & Alternate unit of measure and syndicate it, it gets created in the SAP ECC system properly.
    If we add 1 more a tuple record it gets updated successfully.
    But if we delete a record from the tuple for same material and save and syndicate it, it does not get updated in the SAP ECC system.
    Please help!
    Thanks in Advance
    ~ Suraj Sawarkar

    Hi Suraj,
    Or is there some other thing amiss?
    Can you please revert with whether this Tuple node Property is required or not in MDM syndicator. I mean in MDM Syndicator-->under Destination Items Tab, Property Required is Ticked in Check box or not.
    As I am able to figure it out that this may be one reason, If this is not ticked in check-box then this tuple node will not generate if it does not have any values. I mean in case if you delete tuple record in MDM a file will get syndicated out of MDM without these Tuple nodes. Thus would not able to pass Null to target side structure of IDOC and therefore your Tuple record is not getting deleted in  SAP ECC system.(R/3 side). So please make sure that this Tuple nodes must be generated even if it carries blank values (nothing) in syndication files so that you can map with required target structure of ECC IDOC to pass these blank values.

    In XML-schema element "DEF_PRODUCT" and "DEF_PRODUCT_CODE" - attribute presents hierarchy table.
    "CREDIT_PRODUCT" and childs presents  linked flat table.
    According idea and business rules I must get the result like this: each  "DEF_PRODUCT" have N-"CREDIT_PRODUCT". One - to- many.
    But when I set up all map completely and look to xml result file I start to be disappointed.
    XML result file approximately must be like this:
    <DEF_PRODUCT>
        <CREDIT_PRODUCT/>
        <CREDIT_PRODUCT/>
        <CREDIT_PRODUCT/>
    </DEF_PRODUCT>
    but in result I have all <CREDIT_PRODUCT>  in one node and child attributes.
    I attach 3 pics which explain my situation.
    xml-schema :[http://xmages.net/storage/10/1/0/6/3/upload/42ca6ca8.jpg]
    field mapping: [http://xmages.net/storage/10/1/0/6/a/upload/bbbc09f2.jpg]
    example: [http://xmages.net/storage/10/1/0/c/c/upload/817b0e23.jpg]
    Anybody can help me?
    About software : SAP MDM 7.1 (7.1.04.139)
    P.S: My problem can be resolved succesfully if I will use 1 <main> table and 1 <qualified flat> table.
           But in my case I must use hierarchy - structure because it  most usable for business - users

    If SAP MDM will present many opportunities to me I will be very glad.
    I repeat I must get output xml which have the pair like "RemoteKey"="RemoteSystem" in tuple subnode.
    In tuple, after your advices.
    Ideally, Syndicator must present to each user ability to choose pair "RemoteKey" = "RemoteSystem" in each subnode like <LookUp> table in root (look at my example pic).
    Imagine  you have one root table and N-linked <lookup> tables.
    Tree like this :
    <main tbl>
      <subtbl1/>
      <subtbl2/>
      <subtbl3>
         <childtbl1/>
         <childtbl2/>
      </subtbl3>
    </main tbl>
    It's dangerous to deprive SAP MDM user to select  pair "RemoteKey" = "RemoteSystem" from ROOT to ALL and LAST LEAF in abstract hierarchy. How do you think ?
    Now, I haven't abilities to solve my problem using standard resources. Really ?

  • Creating Value Conversion Filters in Import Manager

    Hello.
    I am trying to create some Value Conversion Filters that change street suffixes to abbreviations. Such as Lane to Ln.
    How would I go about doing this? Am I supposed to use the find/replace Conversion Filter?
    Points awarded to any helpful answers / helpful guides (besides the Import Manager Guide) <--- I have this already
    Thanks,
    Nichole

    Hi,
    Yes u can use the Find/Replace Conversion filter property in Import manager.
    In this u can write the word u want to change and then write the req format.
    But the conversions are permanent while if u do this in MDM data manager under transformations they are temporary.i.e they will not be syndicated.
    Hope this may help u.

  • Value Conversion Filters

    Hello,
    I am trying to meet the new business requirements for the client I am working at. They recentlyd decided to eliminate all company codes and condense to one purchase organization. I have my purchase org and company code data in a Tuple.
    Can I use the value conversion filter to all data in my repository to elimate company codes and condense the purchase orgs? I guess my question really is can you use the value conversion filter if the field values to be converted are in Tuples?
    Thanks experts!

    Hey ,
    if you apply value conversion filters at the field level, the conversions are applied sequentially to each converted value that has not been individually edited or converted at the value level, now when you first map a field, each value in the Converted Value column appears in gray to indicate that it is inheriting value conversion filters from the field level. When you apply a manual edit or a value-conversion filter to an individual value, the Converted Value then appears in black to indicate that you have overridden inheritance from the field level. You can use the Restore Converted Value command to restore inheritance for a value.
    Value conversion filters automate repetitive and error-prone transformations, eliminating manual typing and the possibility of user error. They also allow powerful reformatting algorithms to be applied to an entire group of values.
    No conversion filter is necessary to trim leading and trailing spaces from source values, as Import Manager does this automatically when importing values into an MDM repository.
    Hope it gives you clarity.

  • Tuples Cannot Be Imported ??

    Hi Experts,
    I have a scenario where i have a tuple in my table . i am creating maps to help me do a quick upload during data load phase.
    I extract some records from data manager from that table and i see that the tuple field is not present in the extracted excel file.
    If i manually add the field and values to the record try to map the data then the import manager does not allow me to map the fields .
    How can this issue be solved .
    Regards,
    VIgnesh

    Hi Vigneesh,
    As mentioned above, exporting data from Data Manager will not give Tuple values. You can get it only by Syndicating the data.
    Go to syndicator and syndicate the data in Text format. You can then convert it to Excel.
    For importing Tuple data vai Excel / Text, the sourve should be in the below format.
    Unique ID  Tuple Field   Field3       Field4
    1                1000            qaz          wsx
    1                2000            qaz          wsx
    1                3000            qaz          wsx
    2                ABC             zxc          sdf
    2                XYZ             zxc          sdf
    So on importing this, the record with1 will have 3 Tuple values and record with ID 2 will have 2 Tuple values.
    Make sure you select the Tuple Update option correctly.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Priti
