Filtering view in ON_NEW_FOCUS

I have a need to filter a view built in method ON_NEW_FOCUS within a context node.  I got it to filter but the problem is that this view is used in the homepage where I want it filtered and in the overview page where I don't want it to filter.  I found that the component usage is different but I don't think I can get to it from here in this method.  I also thought if I could find a history to tell me if it is from the homepage or from the overview.  Thanks.

Hi Donna,
      You cannot get the component usage name from the on_new_focus directly. Perhaps you can try the following. Create an instance variable in your context node class and in the do_init_context of the view implementation class, set this to the component usage name( you can get it as view_manager->get_window_controller and window_controller->get_component_usage_name). Then you should clear this off during exit( do_cleanup_context).

  • Integrated security using filtered views in CRM2011

    I had published a report in report manager and referenced it by using java in a iframe on an entity in CRM 2011.  Someone helped me write the java and I am not sure how he configured the properties page of the datasource in report manager.
    I changed my password the other day and now the report does not run so I presume he embeded my user name and password into the report.
    I am now not sure how to set up that properties on the data source.
    I can use a shared date source (which is integrated) or a custome data source and have tried using the connect using options in various ways - sometimes the report in the Iframe ask for my user name and password and sometimes it says that it cannot create
    a connection to data source - login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'
    I would really appreciate some advice here and obviously I do not want to embed my user name and password in the report as we have to change passwords frequently.  If I did not use the filtered views I would not have this problem but best practice dictates
    in my company so I have no option.

    Hi julesoutthere,
    Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.
    Sorry for that I didn’t find the information which is related to the VS IDE, would you mind letting us know more information about this issue?
    You said that it is related to “a report in report manager”? Is it related to the SSRS or the report control?

  • Blank filtered view after upgrade of CRM and SQL server

    We have upgrade our CRM system to CRM 2015.  We also upgraded our sql server to the latest version.  We used a backup of the database on the old sql server to update the new database.  All works fine except for custom reports in SSRS.  It
    seems that although the tables return the correct value, the filtered tables return null.
    Christo Vermeulen

    Have you tested this by querying the filtered views directly from SSMS?  If so, be sure you are connecting to SQL using windows authentication.  SQL authentication will always return null when querying filtered views.

  • Using [TODAY] in filtered views

    The instructions under the filter section in Edit View clearly states; "Show all of the items in this view, or display a subset of the items by using filters. To filter on a column based on the current date or the current user of the site, type
    [Today] or [Me] as the column value...". However when I use [Today] as my filter value, I received the following error message: "Filter Value is not a supported date format" My date fields are all set up
    as date only, and I am assuming that [Today] also is set up as date only.  Did something change in SharePoint 2010 that won't accept [today] as a filter value?

    Hi. There is no other column called "Today".  I created the "My Today" solution simply because the directions within the view indicate that I should use [Today]. I am not including the "=" sign.  I am simply trying to filter my view where a specific
    date is equal to [Today]. The error message I get says something to the effect of the format of [Today] is not compatible with the filter.  Is it possible that [Today] includes both date and time?  My field is set up to display date only.

  • How to view the previously saved filtered view on relogin?

    Hello friends,
    I have already posted this question before few days but may be my question was not framed well. Its a very basic question, may be but i am still finding the way to solve it. My question is as I ones as a participant logs-in in the workspace of oracle BPM studio I do some task pending for me then after applying filter I save my view as MYVIEW now my need is when I again log in I should see the same view which I saved previously as MYVIEW. means in the view drop down box we have options as inbox and all but now as previously I saved my filtered changes as MYVIEW I should see that saved MYVIEW instead of Inbox...... then again after relog-in I want to set my view as inbox so I will select inbox option from the view drop down box and will log out....
    I hope i have correctly framed my question this time.
    One more thing whenever a participants logs-in in work space his data must be getting stored somewhere in the repository or in some flat file, so in which flat file it gets stored?(i have not installed any external repository)
    Any help will be appreciated...
    Thanks in anticipation.....

  • Error When Filtering View as Contribute User

    Hello everyone,
    I have a list that just went past the view threshold of 5k items, and this list contains a view with filter showing the items from the last 90 days. The problem we're experiencing is that if a user with Contribute access tries to filter the view from one
    of the columns, the first filter works fine, but when a second filter is applied, a correlation ID message comes up. This doesn't happen for Site Collection Admins.
    Shouldn't views not returning the number of items set in the threshold be able to be filtered regardless?
    Thanks
    Fausto Capellan, Jr - SharePoint Admin

    Hi Krishana,
    Thank you for your response. I am well aware of everything you mentioned above. My issue is that if the view already has a filter just to show the items from either the last 30 or 90 days, users should still be able to apply multiple filters directly from
    a view column. This is what I see in the logs:

  • Creating filtered view on the physical layer ussing session variable USER

    Hi:
    I´m creating a view on the physical layer, the view needs to be created dynamically. So depending on the user (using the session variable USER) the view is created with the data a particular user is able to see.
    Fisrt I imported the table and changed it´s properties to be created through a "Select Statement" so i don´t needed to change the mapping on the bussiness model layer.
    The consistency check was OK but i´m not able to see data in answers, even using the Administrator user. Have anyone tried to do this? Here is my query.
    Thanks
    A Garcia
    Select * from D_ESTRUCTURA_RH2 where Region_ID
    IN
    select distinct a.REGION_ID from APP_INDPERSONAL_DM.D_ESTRUCTURA_RH2 a
    inner join (
    select distinct b.REGION_ID from APP_INDPERSONAL_DM.D_ESTRUCTURA_RH2 b
    where exists (select 1 from APP_INDPERSONAL_DM.Autorizacion a, usuarios c
    where a.app_id = 1
    and a.usuario_id = c.Usuario_Id
    and UPPER(c.Nombre_Usuario)=UPPER(':USER')
    and a.miembro_id = 'REGION_ID'
    and a.operador = '='
    and (b.REGION_ID = (case when valor = 'Todo' then 0 else valor end) or valor='Todo'))
    ) seguridad
    on
    a. REGION_ID = seguridad.REGION_ID
    )

    whay not use the same filter in the content tab of the logical table source?
    check the physical sql sent to databse using web-admin-manage sessions-view log and see if there is any unexpected behavior. also run the same query in db and see iff you get the results in databse itself.

  • Filtering View Selector

    Hello experts!
    I have an assignment to do.
    I have a report that has a view selector of pivot tables (5 exactly). My question is: it exists any kind of filter (maybe another view selector) that when I click in one member of this "filter" it shows me 2 options of my view selector or if I choose another member of "filter" show me 3 different options???
    Thank you!
    P.D. I could solve my problem if I could include a view selector in another view selector.

    Hi,
    Yes you can do it, as you said by using a view selector that:
    I could include a view selector in another view selector.try this:
    1. create one view selector viewSelector!1 and add your 2 reports
    2. go on compound layout and add your view selector viewSelector!1
    3. add again view selector (it will create viewSelector!2)
    4. add your 3 reports in this new view selector..
    5. go on compound layout and add your new view selector viewSelector!2
    6. add again view selector (it will create viewSelector!3)
    7 go to advance tab and modify your xml by modify:
          <saw:view xsi:type="saw:viewSelector" name="viewSelector!3" rptViewVers="200510010">
             <saw:viewSelectorCaption position="left"/>
             <saw:viewList/>with
          <saw:view xsi:type="saw:viewSelector" name="viewSelector!3" rptViewVers="200510010">
             <saw:viewSelectorCaption position="left"/>
             <saw:viewList>
                <saw:viewItem type="view" name="viewSelector!1"/>
                <saw:viewItem type="view" name="viewSelector!2"/>
          </saw:viewList>8. set xml

  • Filtering View Data Based on Location Value

    Hi,
         I have a mangers view in my list.
    we have some cluster values like this:

    BD/CO/EN/MV
    BE/CR/LH
    BO/KM/KG
    BP/BU/GR/WC
    DM/KT/WM
       I wrote CAML query for fetching data based on filter condition(i.e. Cluster value)
    <Query>
    <Where>
    <Eq>
    <FieldRef Name="Cluster"/>
    <Value Type="Text">AP/AU/MK</Value>
    </Eq>

    </Query>
       But i getting only "AP/AU/MK" cluster data only.I want manuvally w/o hot coding cluster value.
    Help me.

    Hi,

    </Query>

  • View creation - filtering receiving time intervals

    I want to create some new views for my team.
    We handle e-mails in shifts (most of the time there are 6 of them) so in each hour it looks like the below (we use 24 hour clock from 14:00 to 21:59 so 2PM to 10PM):
    6/1 - 14:00 - 14:09 // 15:00 - 15:09 // 16:00 - 16:09 // .................... // 21:00 - 21:09
    6/2 - 14:10 - 14:19 // 15:10 - 15:19 // 16:10 - 16:19 // .................... // 21:10 - 21:19
    6/3 - 14:20 - 14:29 // 15:20 - 15:29 // 16:20 - 16:29 // .................... // 21:20 - 21:29
    6/4 - 14:30 - 14:39 // 15:30 - 15:39 // 16:30 - 16:39 // .................... // 21:30 - 21:39
    6/5 - 14:40 - 14:49 // 15:40 - 15:49 // 16:40 - 16:49 // .................... // 21:40 - 21:49
    6/6 - 14:50 - 14:59 // 15:50 - 15:59 // 16:50 - 16:59 // .................... // 21:50 - 21:59
    I would like to create the view based on that.
    So first mail shift (6/1) can only see what is coming in between 00-09 in every hour, second (6/2) can only see what is com in in between 10-19...and so on...
    I did it with the advanced view settings, but I have 2 issues:
    1. It is using the date of the creation so is it possible to put in a function which takes the actual date, like CURDATE() ?
    2. Somehow a few e-mails are missing, so it works almost fine, takes almost everything but it seems that a few e-mails are missing from the new view and they are there in the original view. I checked and no other filters are turned on, so this must
    be something else. The filter is based on the 'Received' timing and I'm not sure if anything else interacts.
    For example in the 4th shift (6/4) there were like 10 e-mails missing during my test day at minute :30, but there were some at 15:30, 16:30 and 18:30 which  were in the filtered view. I first thought it's the <= and >= settings, but it shows
    that it is not. I have no idea why it skips e-mails...
    The SQL code is the below for the first shift (6/1):
    (("urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" >= '2014.04.07
    14:00' AND
    "urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" <= '2014.04.07 14:09') OR
    ("urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" >= '2014.04.07 15:00' AND
    "urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" <= '2014.04.07 15:09') OR
    ("urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" >= '2014.04.07 16:00' AND
    "urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" <= '2014.04.07 16:09') OR
    ("urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" >= '2014.04.07 17:00' AND
    "urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" <= '2014.04.07 17:09') OR
    ("urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" >= '2014.04.07 18:00' AND
    "urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" <= '2014.04.07 18:09') OR
    ("urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" >= '2014.04.07 19:00' AND
    "urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" <= '2014.04.07 19:09') OR
    ("urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" >= '2014.04.07 20:00' AND
    "urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" <= '2014.04.07 20:09') OR
    ("urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" >= '2014.04.07 21:00' AND
    "urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" <= '2014.04.07 21:09'))
    Please if you have any idea what could be wrong, maybe I should add something else to the filter please get back to me. This way it is useless and I really want us to use view because we have about 50 emails per shift in every hours.
    Thank you!

    1.  I can't help you with this.
    2. What about mail that comes in at 14:09:30?  It would be dropped, no?  I think your logic should be:
    ...("urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" >= '2014.04.07
    14:00' AND
    "urn:schemas:httpmail:datereceived" < '2014.04.07 14:10') OR...
    You didn't ask, but a problem I would have with your approach is that it's based on views, which isn't exactly best for accountability.  I would think you'd want to be using some kind of code that routes mail to the mailboxes of those responsible rather
    depending on them seeing it in a shared mailbox.

  • List View filtered by multiple params (one from cookie) - works fine when groups are expanded initially, but hides filtered items when collapsed and then expanded.

    Hello!
    I have a page with a list view web part. I am applying multiple filter parameters to it: I have to display documents for all US locations (general) and also filtered view of documents for user's office location. I am setting the user location Cookie and
    i have configured webpart with Param to read it. Second filter value is hard-coded (Non-specific location). It all works FINE when i set the list View to expand all groups by default.  The problem starts when I set it to be collapsed from the start:
    Collapsed group shows correct number of items to be inside but when i expand it, the 1 extra LOCAL item filtered by {PARAM}  is missing from inside this expanded group. Only items filtered by a "hardcoded text param" are being shown.  And
    again - when i change the view and set it to be expanded by default - ALL items are being shown without any problem! Only thing that breaks it - setting of collapsed-expanded for this view groups. nothing else.
    Any suggestion on how to work with this thing?
    I can't make all groups expanded by default - too many documents, but it only time when it works.
    I tried changing view design, other characteristics, but nothing makes it change the behavior so far.
    I really want o avoid creating custom "hardcoded" views for each location where location is predefined instead of dynamically read it from cookie. For me it looks like something is connected with PARAM as only these items are affected by this weird
    behavior. Thank you in advance!

    Hi Olga
    I have tried the method you have mentioned, but the jquery function is not working to collapse the groups.
    I have tried 2 approaches, but none of them is working fully:
    1) Raising the Click event as follows
    for (var i = 0; i < links.length; i++)
                         if (links[i].href == "javascript:" && links[i].onclick.toString().indexOf("ExpCollGroup")
    > -1)
                               links[i].click();
    2) ExpCollGroup()
    Please suggest or send the correct method to collapse

  • List Views displaying error - when using Lookup column for filtering ( which are indexed )

    I'm trying to filter a large list that has more items than the list view threshold. The list has a lookup column that is indexed. If I  try to filter by other columns, the view works fine as long as it returns fewer than 5,000 items. However, if
    I try to filter by the lookup column, I get the error about not being able to display the items because the list is too large.
    The views are returning items which are less than threshold value , but still I am seeing the same issue.I Created some pages and added this filtered views to the pages it is showing below error
    This view cannot be displayed because it exceeds the list view threshold ....
    IF I navigate the view in the list it's returning zero records with out any error page . But no records.
    Is there a known issue with filtering large lists by lookup column? Any other troubleshooting suggestions? Everything I'm doing here is through the web interface.

    Thank you for your reply. Yeah it’s default limit. But when I created view based on some filter condition on lookup column it’s not working.
    For example:
    Created a View based on Lookup column DEPT using filter condition Dept = HR , returned 1400 items
    Created another View based on Lookup column DEPT using filter condition Dept=Admin , returned 3600 items
    Adding this list view webparts to the page also working fine , displaying the results .
    After adding one item to this list , both the views are not displaying any results. Now the count is 5001.(it exceeded the list view threshold)
    The page where the list view web parts are added throwing the below error.
    This view cannot be displayed because it exceeds the list view threshold (5000 items) enforced by the administrator.
    To view items, try selecting another view or creating a new view. If you do not have sufficient permissions to create views for this list, ask your administrator to modify
    the view so that it conforms to the list view threshold.

    creating views for large lists.
    I am experiencing this problem only with lookup columns, Choice and site columns are working fine in this same situation .
    Thanks,

  • Filtering Help system view by business questions

    My client wants to use RoboHelp to create a help system that
    covers ten web-based applications in one suite of products. The
    products are used by different roles on a commodities trading
    floor. The same person might use more than one of the applications
    for different purposes. My client wants the usual Help TOC as one
    avenue into the content. But in addition, my client wants to
    provide a different path into the content. For this second path, he
    wants entry into the Help system to be a series of business
    questions (such as "What are you trying to do?" Possible answer:
    "make a trade"). Then, on the basis of the answers, he wants to
    display only a subset of the help topics. Just the ones that are
    relevant, based on the answers to those questions. In other words,
    a filtered view of the help system. Is this possible? Any advice
    would be appreciated.

    In our 2.5K-topic merged WebHelp project, we've implemented a
    series of navigation pages similar to what Rick suggests.
    Whereas the TOC is categorized by major features, the opening
    page provides links to pages for User Roles, Functional Tasks,
    Major Components, Menu Help (split between Client and System
    Administration), and Reference. (I used a free
    tooltip
    utility from Walter Zorn to provide a hover "peek" before they
    click to jump to a link.)
    Each category within these pages has a list of the most
    commonly used topics. Therefore an "Operations & Technology"
    user would be provided lists of topics dealing with his normal
    duties such as Batch Processing, Imports/Exports, XML Messaging,
    etc.
    Another method might be working with the developers to tie in
    privileging to apply to the help as well as the application
    features. You could "map" topics by using folders and/or topic
    keys, such as leading "sa_" for system admin, "bp_" for batch
    processing, etc.
    Good luck,
    Leon

  • Own View Object Rows filtering

    Hello,
    I've created a method which is filtering View Object for specific rows faster than getFilteredRows(). It is done by dynamic setting "where clause" and then removing it. Full method looks like that:
    public static Row[] filterRows(ViewObjectImpl vo, Map<String, Object> columns) {
            ArrayList<String> stringArray = new ArrayList<String>();
            for(String s : columns.keySet()) {
                stringArray.add(s + " = :" + s);
                vo.defineNamedWhereClauseParam(s, null, null);
                vo.setNamedWhereClauseParam(s, columns.get(s));
            String[] strArray = new String[stringArray.size()];
            String whereClause = StringUtils.join(stringArray.toArray(strArray), " AND ");
            vo.setWhereClause(whereClause);
            vo.executeQuery();
            RowSetIterator it = vo.createRowSetIterator(null);
            ArrayList<Row> rows = new ArrayList<Row>();
            while(it.hasNext()) {
                rows.add(it.next());
            for(String s : columns.keySet()) {
                vo.removeNamedWhereClauseParam(s);
            vo.getDefaultRowSet().setExecuteParameters(null, null, true);
            vo.setWhereClause(null);
            vo.getDefaultRowSet().setWhereClauseParams(null);
            vo.executeQuery();
            Row[] rowsArray = new Row[rows.size()];
            return rows.toArray(rowsArray);
        }Now, when i try something like this:
    MyViewObjectImpl searchVo = getContractAppMod().getMyViewObject1();
    Row[] rows = ContractUtils.filterRows(searchVo, "umwa_id", new Number(4));
    MyViewObjectRowImpl searchRow = (MyViewObjectRowImpl) rows[0];
    System.out.println(searchRow.getUmwaId());Everything seems to be OK, the values are correct, but when i try this:
    searchRow.setFirstName("Name");Value in adf table is not updating immediately like it is when i use searchVo.getFilteredRows("UmwaId", new Number(4)); instead of my filterRows method. Why is that happening and how to fix it?
    Thanks.

    Definition of static filterRows() method is inside normal class named ContractUtils. Then i'm calling this method in bean class ContractBean. This bean is also declared in task flow. I don't know exactly how to rewrite my code for access the method through the ADF binding layer. Can you give me more specific clues? Thanks for all.

  • How can I get a view of what's not in any smart mailbox?

    I want to see basically my inbox, only with all of the things being displayed in my smart mailboxes HIDDEN. I don't see an option for this. I tried creating a smart inbox, but there's no way to create the inverse of my smart mailboxes because the rules don't seem to allow it. Is there any way to do this or am I out of luck?
    Thanks,
    Jon

    Thanks. Yeah, smart mailboxes being sort of filtered views of your INBOX makes good sense (references not copies as you say).
    I could do what I want to do if there was either an option to hide stuff in the inbox that's in a smart mailbox OR if there were better smart mailbox rules for what to include. For example, if there was a "None" choice as well as "Any" and "All", I could create an Inbox2 that contains all the stuff that doesn't match any of the criteria for my other smart mailboxes. But it's not quite the smart. Also, I could make it work if you could include smart mailboxes in the rules themselves, but they only work with regular mailboxes. I can understand why that would not be a feature though.
    Basically, smart mailboxes are great. BUT I want to use them to reduce the clutter of my inbox, not just see a view of it. So perhaps this is a feature request. I can't see how to do what I want to do...
