Filtration in the List based on "User!UserID"

Goal:
To make a filtration in the table list with support of "where" statement based on SSRS:s built-in function "User!UserID" in SSRS.
Problem:
I need apply the output value of the code
REPLACE
MID
User!UserID,
InStr(User!UserID,"\")+1,
Len(User!UserID)
in the dataset, inside of Where statement, but I retrieve error.
I also tried to apply the sourcecode as a variable and use it in the dataset, but the query designer complain that the variable do not exist. I'm using MDX code

Analysis Services data is Multidimensional Data. All Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services dimensions are groups of attributes based on columns from tables or views in a data source view.
The data structure is [Dimension].[Hierachy].&[FieldValue]. For example:
WHERE ( [Geography].[Country].&[Canada]
). Also, we can use design mode to filter data. Please refer to the screenshot below:

Display the data, in dataset, in reporting service for 30 users. Right information to right person.
Main question:
I have a dimension table called dimIndividual that is linked to a fact table with three different measurement. The fact table is linked to different dimension table in SSAS.
I want to set up a security that right user can review their own sales in quantity and value in SSAS.
I also want to prevent that no necessary column will be available due to security risk for instance if you use one column from the dimension table date, the remaining columns shall not be available in SSRS, excel tool etc. The data column from data set
that is being used for SSRS is only allowed to be available for users.
Information:
*The filtration and high security should take place in SSAS and not in the client application.
*The data of user in dimIndividual is for instance "James brown", "Sara Black", "Jim West" etc only
*The user shall have access to relevant column from different dimensiontable. For instance I wanna see sales in 2006.
*Taking account to security, by applying the filtration in server mode, no access availble will be easily for client tool for instance Excel and ssrs etc.
*I have a source code that filtrate the domain and "\" but the "." is available and I cannot use replace in order to remove the "." and replace it with " ".

If we have not store user account in our database, we can use above method to restrict user access permission. Please refer to it.
If we have store user account in our database, we can use Advanced setting in the role. We can restrict the "Allowed member set" to just those members where the member name is equal to the username (). More detail information, please refer to the article

Well it will depend on exactly where your UME configuration points to in the LDAP tree but yes, it is possible to get all users. Something like the following should do it:

iuf = UMFactory.getUserFactory();
isr = iuf.getUniqueIDs();
you will need to iterate the ISearchResult object but you can get IUser objects by

user = iuf.getUser(userid);
then you can imanipulate / identify / or whatever you need with the user object

i had tried to find out the list of all user's whose passwords are expired.
i had written some jndi code by finding the max age and then find out the current time and subtracted this current time from max age using the following code

but the current time which i am getting is the time of my system not the time of ldap server
so my questions are following;

2.If there is no way then can you suggest any other way to find out the list of user's whose passwords are expired.

This comes when I click on the other column.I generate the data needed in a report and display it as a sorting table when I get the data.

One way to do it might be...
Assuming you have preferred credentials set up for all of your databases, you could run a 'select username from dba_users or all_users;' against all of your databases through grid control.
Click on Targets tab, click Databases, then the 'Execute SQL' link at the bottom of the page. Click 'Add' and 'Select All'. Then run it. It's just running the same sql across all of your databases and the output will be at the bottom for all of them.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction: I have a list for Media announcements, each one of these announcements will have various types of documents associated (via look up field in the doc library). I am trying to have a data form web part (dropdown)
as the selector (as I am not liking the SharePoint list filter feature) to have a user be able to select the Media Title, then it refreshes the three web parts on the page (1 for the announcement, then one for type1 docs and one for type 2 docs.)
What is the best way to create an onchange event to have the selected option be connected to the first web part (media title on a list view) so that the information on the page can all be filtered?

Would you mind providing more details about your requirement? Are there one Announcements list and two Document Library in a page?
Suppose you have one Announcements list and two Document Library in a page, then you want to add a Drop Down Menu(not the OOTB SharePoint List Filter Web Part) to filter the
three List View Web Part dynamically.
There will be two workarounds:
1. Use the OOTB “Connections” feature of the list to “Get Filter Values From” one of the three lists, then there will be a “Select” button in that list, we can click it to filter
other two lists/libraries. This is a way without code though we may not have the Drop Down Menu;
2. Add three <iframe> in a page, then add a Drop Down Menu in this page. Now, we will need some JavaScript to listen to the onchange event of this Drop Down Menu. We can
get the values populated in the Drop Down Menu from one of the column of one of the list, when making a selection in it, we can pass an URL with query strings to the three iframes which will show the three different lists or libraries.
The second way requires some code to interact with Client Object Model cause we need to get values from a list, some script to handle the onchange event, which seems more suit
with your need.

Fill the second Dropdown List based on user selection

Hi All,
I am using Web Services to populate Dropdownlists. This works fine for me.
I have a table with the column "Core Category" and "SUB Category", "Core Category" can have 1 or more SUB Categories.
The SQL statement in the Web Service for "Core Category" looks like this: "Select DISTINCT [core category] from table", this returns a list of categories.
In this example, I want to achieve the following:
When I select a "Core Category' in the first Dropdownlist, the application fires an event or action to fill the second Dropdownlist "SUB Category" with ONLY values that belongs to the selected "Core Category" in the first Dropdown list.
Is this possible with Visual Composer? Please let me know how I can achieve this?

Yes it is possible. [Example of Ship and Engine|http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/2968/shipenginezt9.jpg]. Kindly note there is a web service for getting ship and on basis of ship-id selected, engine is filled, which is also deliverd by web service
The intial state of application is ship drop down is enabled but not the engine, that gets enabled only when ship is selected.
Here the steps: Please replace it with your fields:
1. Place the 2 drown down controls.
2. For Ship, Select the web service in the dynamic list of the dropdown, remember at runtime, if those input parameters are not valid it will give the data service error, make use of if statement.
3. Define Store -> shipid, engineid and boolean show_engine - default false
4. Action of ship -> ASSIGN action -> true to show_engine from data store
5. Value of ship ->
=store@SHIP
6.For engine, Select the web service in the dynamic list of the dropdown, remember at runtime, if those input parameters are not valid it will give the data service error, make use of if statement. Where the paramter for shipid is to be filled

Filling a table in Dreamweaver with different lists based on user decisions

Hi, I'm very new to Dreamweaver and web design as a whole, so this might seem like a far fetched idea.
What I want to do is have a situation where a user could click one of 4 buttons, upon which a predefined list would appear, presumably populating a table. As in, there are four lists (A, B, C, and D), and clicking on the respective button would make that respective list appear in a table. I only assume that a table is the appropriate option here. Furthermore, I want the user to be able to click on an element in the appearing list to make an image appear.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can do this? Am I on the right track with a table? I might be thinking too much in java...

I believe you have confused Java with JavaScript. The two are very different, and usually when talking about web pages and interactive effects on them, it's the latter that would be relevant.
You could do what you want most easily by building a page with all 4 tables (each containing the desired display effects already applied) explicitly coded (presumably one after the other). Each of these tables should be given a unique ID value (e.g., id="table1", id="table2", etc.) Then you would use CSS to hide all 4 tables using the style "display:none;". Then you would apply a javascript behavior to each of your buttons to change the CSS style on the table from "display:none;" to "display:block". That would make only that table appear. In addition, each of those buttons would have to set the style on the three other tables back to "display:none" to account for any table that may have been previously made visible.
You can do this style changing using the DW behavior called "Change Property", by changing the display style on the desired table to "block", and on the other tables to "none;".
This is a lot for a beginning user to absorb, so ask questions as you need answers. I don't think there would be any easier way to do this.

How to change the number of items displayed on the screen based on user input

I need to place a number of input clusters on the user's screen based on the number of input types he will have. Is there an easy way to do this? (Say I have 3 different electrodes, I want to be able to add information for each then take this information and add it to a database, this case adding three new record sets to the database. If I only have one electrode though, I only want one cluster on the screen and only one recordset will be added to the database)

Place your clusters in a 1D array and create a property node for the array. You can use the Number of Rows property to control how many elements are shown. Wire the array into a for loop to index it.
