Find axis value based on coordinates.
I am trying to create a zoom in function for my chart. In

Load excel file value to graph problem(about x-axis value)
Hello,everyone,I have this problem.
When I load the excel file which I saved before,the waveform came out normally,but the x-axis of graph waveform was not shown the number I want,it shown the number based on the no.of samples.
What I want is plot the x-axis value based on the rate(pts/s).For this case,rate is 50prs/s,so after calculation...0.02s per reading.totally is 20 seconds.I tried to use XY-Graph,but didn't solve out.

Create Waveform Graph1.vi 275 KBis it always 0.02s per reading or did you get this figure from some calculation?? in anyway, you just connect that value (the constant 0.02 or calculated amount) to a Property Node... you link the Property Node to Waveform Graph 2... under property choose X-Scale -> Offset and Multiplier -> Multiplier...
i'm not sure if this is the best method but hope it helps... i've tried it on your code and it works...

In IMAQ Find Vertical Edge VI Edge Coordinates is an array of clusters, but I need to manipulate only the X values. How can I extrapolate those values to use them after?
Thanks for your answer...I have begin to do it yesterday afternoon, but I don`t finish it yet !!!Isn`t there an other way of doing ? My problem is that I don`t know the exact number of points used by the edge coordinates, and before unbundling the cluster, I have to transform my array of clusters into a cluster, so I have to give it a fixed size...it`s not a difficult work, but quite long...

Excel MSGraph Axis Value w/ Report Gentration Tool kit help needed
Hello,
I am working on making all my Printed Data sheets dynamic so I don't need to have an Excel Template for each test I create. I have been able to make my own modifications to some of the Report Generation tool kit VIs to add little things I need or want changed, but I am stuck.
I currently have LabVIEW writing Charts in Excel, using the Insert Graph VIs from the tool kit but I want to be able to make the X Axis Values invisible but leave the Y values for this particular data sheet. I have looked through all my documentation but cannot find anything referring to setting that.
What is the correct ActiveX Method and/or Property that I need to incorporate to do this? I found that in Excel if I click on the Chart it is in the Chart Options Menu but I cannot find a way to control it through LabVIEW.
I am currently using 7.1.1 with Office 98 and the Report Generation Toolkit 1.1.0
Any ideas?
Thanks

Certified LabVIEW ArchitectHello,
LabVIEW should have access to everything that the excel ActiveX object publishes. One way to discover how to do it would be to record a macro in excel, where your recorded actions are on the x-axis as you desire. This way you will have a macro which you can run that will do this for you. Perhpas more importantly, you will then be able to look at the code for that macro you recorded, and make the equivalent calls in LabVIEW, which should basically expose which ActiveX calls on that object achieve the axis modification. In any event, to help you with this process, below are some useful links. Also, you will find other threads on this matter if you search the discussion forums.

How to change axis values in Numbers
In v1.7 I have tried to change the axis values on existing charts but can't find how to do it...
So I tried to create bar charts from scratch in order to rebuild the old ones with the new axis data but I can't find out how to set any of the axis values on chart creation now!!
Has something changed - or am I just thick/blind?!!Is it so difficult to read given answers ?
Barry described the correct scheme.
In the table "to_chart", the cell A1 contains :
=ROUNDUP(ABS(MIN(Tableau 1 :: B:E))/10,0)*10
The cell B2 embed the formula :
=$A$1+Tableau 1 :: B2
Apply fill down and fill to the right.
On the left edge, the colored rectangle is a text block in which I inserted the label values.
Of course if you dislike this scheme, you are perfectly free to use an other application.

Preaggregation across value based hierarchy dimension in 11g
Hi All,
I have created a cube with 6 dimensions in olap 11g. One of those six dimensions has only one hierarchy which is value based hierarchy. I have chosen level based aggregation as I know at what levels exactly users are going to query. When I was going through the dimensions to choose levels to preaggregate I noticed there were no options available for my value based hierarchy dimension ( I could see "all" option for the same case in 10g) then I tried to look for definitions of underlying objects just to make sure it will preaggregate data across my value based hierarchy dimension.
I found value set corresponding to my value based hierarchy dimension in <CUBE NAME>SOLVEAGGMAP object , which AWM uses to decide which dimension values to preaggregate but if I do rpr on that value set (rp r<CUBE NAME>SOLVE<DIMENSION NAME>_PVSET) it shows NA so my question is can I pre aggregate across value based hierarchy dimension in olap 11g?
Olap Version: 11.2.0.1
AWM version: 11.2.0.1
ThanksEven if you know exactly which levels your users will query, percent based precompute (e.g. 30%) may still be faster in practice because queries are returned using 'sparse looping' instead of 'dense looping'. This was the single biggest performance advantage of 11g over 10g.
But if you still want to use level based precompute, then you should look at the XML template for the cube (as saved by AWM, for example). In it you should find something called PrecomputeCondition. This defines the set of members that are precomputed. Here is an example I just created using the GLOBAL schema
<PrecomputeCondition>
<![CDATA[
"TIME" LEVELS ("TIME"."MONTH", "TIME".CALENDAR_QUARTER, "TIME".CALENDAR_YEAR),
CHANNEL LEVELS (CHANNEL.TOTAL_CHANNEL, CHANNEL.CHANNEL),
CUSTOMER LEVELS (CUSTOMER.MARKET_SEGMENT, CUSTOMER.REGION, CUSTOMER.SHIP_TO),
PRODUCT LEVELS (PRODUCT.CLASS, PRODUCT.FAMILY, PRODUCT.ITEM)]]>
</PrecomputeCondition>The PrecomputeCondition is also visible through the USER_CUBES view.
SELECT PRECOMPUTE_CONDITION
FROM USER_CUBES
WHERE CUBE_NAME = 'MY_CUBE';You can hand modify this condition in the XML to specify an alternative 'non level based' precompute condition for any dimension. For example, if you define an attribute named 'SHOULD_PRECOMPUTE' on your PRODUCT dimension that is 1 for members to be precomputed and 0 for all others, then you can change the condition as follows.
<PrecomputeCondition>
<![CDATA[
"TIME" LEVELS ("TIME"."MONTH", "TIME".CALENDAR_QUARTER, "TIME".CALENDAR_YEAR),
CHANNEL LEVELS (CHANNEL.TOTAL_CHANNEL, CHANNEL.CHANNEL),
CUSTOMER LEVELS (CUSTOMER.MARKET_SEGMENT, CUSTOMER.REGION, CUSTOMER.SHIP_TO),
PRODUCT WHERE PRODUCT.SHOULD_PRECOMPUTE = 1]]>
</PrecomputeCondition>If you recreate the cube from the XML with this condition, then the PVSET valueset you discovered should contain all dimension members for which the attribute value is 1. This gives you complete control over what is precomputed. Note that AWM doesn't support this form of condition, so it won't show up if you go to the Precompute tab, but it is valid for the server. The PL/SQL below will modify the PrecomputeCondition (for the cube named MYCUBE) without going through AWM.
begin
dbms_cube.import_xml(q'!

Problems with value-based hierarchies in Oracle 11gR2

I have the following problem:
I want to cereate a dimension with 2 hierarchies.
These hierarchies have to be value-based.
It's no problem to fill and display one of them, but when I fill both and try to display them, at the lowest level, the parent-child relevancy is now incorrect.
Let's display this in OLAP Worksheet for Cube Type OLAP 11g :

Description 11.2.0.2.0 PATCH SET FOR ORACLE DATABASE SERVER
Product Oracle Database Family
I have looked, but I cannot find a formal bug for this problem. My hunch is that it was fixed as a side effect of other changes, and I know there were several in this area. My simple test case did work in 11.2.0.2, so I hope it is all fixed. But feel free to enter an SR if you want. (If you mention my name in the SR then support should contact me.) You should certainly do this if moving on to 11.2.0.2 does not resolve the issue. -

Graph: Get Right Y-Axis value with GetGraphCursor
Hello,
I'm currently developing an application for a customer which contains data being evaluated in a graph control.
There are different scalings of data so I use the left y-axis for digital data and right x-axis for analog data.
Now I want to add an annotation marker with the current X and Y value being displayed, when the user clicks into the graph.
I use those two functions to determine the position and affected plot of the marker:
GetGraphCursor(tabHandle2, TABPANEL_2_GRAPH, 1, &x, &y);
GetGraphCursorIndex(tabHandle2, TABPANEL_2_GRAPH, 1, &plotHandle, &plotIndex);
Now this works fine for the left y-axis, but I can't seem to find a way to get the y-axis value of the right side plot.
I figure plotHandle and plotIndex should help me to get this data, but sadly I don't know how to use this information.Ok to clarify:
I have a graph with plot values on the left and right y axis. Some plots use the left and some the right side.
On default there is no cursor in this graph. But I want to provide the option for the user to enable a cursor.
When the cursor is enabled it snaps on to the closest plot and an annotation shows the respective x and y values of the plot point.
The problem is, when the left y axis is active and the cursor snapped onto a right y axis plot, the displayed y value is wrong (since the left scale is used).
By left clicking into the graph, the user is able to snap the cursor onto another plot.
So the main problem is, when clicking on a plot, the active axis has to change according to the plots respective axis.
I can easily make this decision since the plot styles are different (left side is VAL_FAT_STEP, right side is VAL_FAT_LINE), but for the axis switch to take effect on the cursor, I would need to delete and add the cursor again. But in this process I lose positioning of the cursor and it snaps to a different plot again. -
Graph X-Axis Labels are appearing in middle for negative y-axis values
Hi,
In my Graph Output, the X-Axis Labels are appearing in the middle (where zero is appearing) if the Y-Axis values are negative.
It's a Line-Graph.
Can anyone let me know how to move the X-Axis Labels to down?
I'm using a custom Function module same as 'GFW_PRES_SHOW_MULT' wherein I'm modifying the line colors and appearance. I have to edit in this Function Module to make the X-Axis Labels appear correctly (below) even when there are negative values.
Please let me know which Parameter of the Class CL_CU_AXIS I've to use.
Here's the piece of code:
CALL METHOD graphic_proxy-ref->add_cu_bundle
EXPORTING
port = if_graphic_proxy=>co_port_chart_y_prim_axis
bundle = bundle_axis
IMPORTING
retval = local_retval.

SowmyaHi Sowmya,
Im Lakshmi working as an ABAP Developer. I have seen your profile in SCN. I saw your postings about OLE charts.
I have a requirement to
1) Output data from an internal table into excel, and
2) Create a chart from the data in excel
So far I have been able to export the data using OLE calls, created a chart object,.
My question:
1. How to put Data Lables
2. How to put Data Table under the Chart
3. How to rename the series names.
Below is the recorded Macro. I don't know how to convert it to ABAP.
Sub Macro1()
ActiveSheet.Shapes.AddChart.Select
ActiveChart.ChartType = xlColumnClustered
Application.CutCopyMode = False
ActiveChart.SetSourceData Source:=Range("B1:E4")
ActiveChart.SeriesCollection(1).Name = "=Sheet2!$A$2"
ActiveChart.SeriesCollection(2).Name = "=Sheet2!$A$3"
ActeChart.SeriesCollection(3).Name = "=Sheet2!$A$4"
ActiveChart.SetElement (msoElementDataLabelOutSideEnd)
ActiveChart.SetElement (msoElementDataTableWithLegendKeys)
End Sub
I have attached the current output and expected output.
I have searched about this in google but i could not find any solution for this.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lakshmi. -
Hi,
what is the best way to implement value based auditing? Usually you have to use triggers, but can I also do it with data changed captue?
PeterHi,
thx for the link. I already know this page. But I need all the values that have been changed.
On the page you gave me you can find:
"The audit trail does not store information about any data values that might be involved in the audited statement.
For example, old and new data values of updated rows are not stored when an UPDATE statement is audited.
However, this specialized type of auditing can be performed on DML statements involving tables by using database triggers. "
I don't want to use triggers. My question is - do I get eather OLD or NEW - valus with data change capture?

Value Based Hierarchy in OBI EE
Hello,
In OBI SE we use both value-based and level-based hierarchies. But in EE I can't find an opportunity to use value based hierarchy.
How to use value based hierarchy (parent-child) in OBI EE?I've done some work with this, and it hasn't been easy going. There is no built-in ability to form a hierarchy of measure columns, at least nothing that can be predefined as the drill for a fact column. For example: I have 220 details of expense that have an exact arrangement with 5 levels and subtotals. Besides the expense detail there are say 4 dimensions, so the expense detail would be the 5th dimension. I have both arrangements in my rpd: 4D and 5D. They can be used together or separately. The 4D basically has 1000's of measures and there is no relationship between them besides the display arrangement in Answers. The 5D has a 5 column dimension that can drill the expense column from Total_Expense down to the 220 rows of detail expense.

Creating value set and restricting values based on operaing unit retrieved
I am creating a value set to retrieve inventory org's from org_organization_definitions table. I want to restrict the values based on the operating unit i retrieve from profile options.
How do i write it as a syntax while creating the value set at front end?
can you help me?Hi Ivruksha,
Thank you for your reply! Here are more details:
We display the accounting flex for each segment in an ADF application we create. We query Fnd_Flex_Values_Vl to find the possible segment values for each segment. The customer has a use case, in EBS, there are two operating units A and B. Both A and B use the same independent flex value set for a key flex field but they display different segment values based on the given operating unit. We need to replicate this behavior in our form to be able to filter the segment values based on the operating unit.
We set the MOAC policy context to a single org so it will only show data from the specified org id. But for segment lookup, it still returns the same list of segment values for both operating units.
