Find datetime difference between two fields and add the difference to the current datetime.
Hi all,
First I need to find the difference between the two date times fields (D1 and D2) and than add the diffence between them to the curent datetime to generate new datetime field (D3).
D1
D2
2013-05-09 12:12:57.000 2013-05-09 12:12:57.000
2013-05-10 12:12:57.000 2013-05-09 5:10:01.000
2013-05-09 9:13:27.000 2013-05-11 11:00:21.000
Thanks!
Hey,
You can try this
SELECT DATEDIFF(Day, D1, D2) as Date_Diff from Table_3
Replace day with
other units you want to get the difference in, like second, minute etc.

Difference between Information Field and Application Field
Hi,
Can anyone tell me the difference between information field and application field in ucm?
ThanksInformation fields are metadata fields that describe the content - by default they will appear on the interface and be searchable etc.
Application fields are a special sort of meta field normally used behind the scenes to help with the logic of forms/templates. Application fields do not normally appear on the interface and are not searchable.
More simply put if you just want to add content metadata just use Information Fields

What is the difference between hidden field and view state??
Both view state and hidden field are use to store page specific information then, what is the difference between both of them??
The ViewState of a page is actually stored in a large hidden field and it contains information about the entire page whereas a single hidden field that you define yourself is used to store some single value that should not be displayed.
Please refer to the following page for more information about ASP.NET View State:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms972976.aspx
But please post your ASP.NET and web related questions at
http://forums.asp.net in the future.
Also, please remember to mark any helpful posts as answer. -

A user is running a web application on Solaris Release 2.6 with UTF-8. After the server was updated to Solaris 8, the application is experiencing problems with webpages containing Korean and Chinese text. The encoding is UTF-8. Has anyone experienced this problem? I checked the packages installed on Solaris 8 and they are consistent with what was installed on Solaris 2.6. Could this possibly be a patch-level problem? Thank you.
Hi,
It could be a problem with the necessary patche updation. refer the following FTP site for the Solaris pathces.
connect through the FTP cleint to sunsolve.sun.com
/pub/patches directory contains a lot of patches for solaris.
Find and install the corresponding patch require to solve your problem. -
How to find the phase difference between two signals using Hilbert transform
hi,
I am new to LabView.... I am trying to find phase difference between two signals. I sucessfuly found out the phase difference between two predefined waves using single tone measurement. .... But I really want to know how can I measure phase difference between two signals( not predefined... ie we don't know the initial conditions) using hilbert transform or any transformation techniques (without using zero cross detection).. I tried by using hilbert transform based on algorithm... bt I am getting error.... plz help me

phase_differece.vi 66 KByou could try something similar to this, for each table pair that you want to compare:
SELECT 'TABLE_A has these columns that are not in TABLE_B', DIFF.*
FROM (
SELECT COLUMN_NAME, DATA_TYPE, DATA_LENGTH
FROM all_tab_columns
WHERE table_name = 'TABLE_A'
MINUS
SELECT COLUMN_NAME, DATA_TYPE, DATA_LENGTH

How to find differences between two columns
Hello I need the formula to spot differences between two columns and to write on a third one if the same name appear on the two columns.
For example:
rome berlin true
berlin moscow false
chicago toronto true
toronto chicago true
florence
Thanks
LorenzoYou should be able to use COUNTIF where the range is th first column and the condition is the word in the second column. If the result is greater than zero then the word is in both columns.

I have two questions need to be clarified.
Question 1: I have KPI named Revenue growth and the formula to calculate is (current year revenue - previous year revenue).I am using data entry& approval. Is that technically possible to calculate the revenue difference between two periods in SSM?
Question 2: Is that possible to enter the date as input for the variable?for example i want find the difference between two dates and the difference value is output for my variable.
Regards
BalaHi:
Question 1:
We have same problem, and what we did is to create:
- 2 NON KPI:
R1 = Revenue current year
R2 = Revenue previous year
- 1 virtual KPI
R3 = R2-R1
Question 2:
I don't know.

For VB.net the date difference method is the same as it is for VBA. Depending on whether you want working days or calendar days, the methods are:
Difference in working days:
Application.DateDifference(StartDate, FinishDate, Calendar)
Difference in calendar days:
DateDiff(interval, date1, date2[, firstdayofweek[, firstweekofyear]])
You can also use these same formula in a custom field in Project.
Hope this helps.

Difference between Report painter and abap query .
can anyone please tell me the difference between the report painter and the ordinary alv, clasical reporting and also the difference between Report painter and abap query. How the output format will be in Report painter. If anyone has any documents please send it to
[email protected]
Thanks,
Joseph.hi,
ABAP Query is an ABAP Workbench tool that enables users without knowledge of the ABAP programming language to define and execute their own reports.
In ABAP Query, you enter texts and select fields and options to determine the structure of the reports. Fields are selected from functional areas and can be assigned a sequence by numbering.

whereas the Report Painter enables you to report on data from various applications. It uses a graphical report structure that forms the basis for the report definition. When defining the report, you work with a structure that corresponds to the final structure of the report when the report data is output.

Difference between class report and interactive report
please give me the differences between classical report and interactive report
Hi,read the following :
In ABAP, there are a total of 7 types of reports. They are:
Classical Reports
Interactive Reports
Logical Database Reports
ABAP query
ALV Reports (ALV stands for ABAP List Viewer)
Report Writer/Report Painter
Views (There are different types of views also)
Classical Reports
These are the most simple reports. It is just an output of data using the Write statement inside a loop.
Classical reports are normal reports. These reports are not having any sub reports. IT IS HAVING ONLY ONE SCREEN/LIST FOR OUTPUT
Interactive Reports
As the name suggests, the user can Interact with the report. We can have a drill down into the report data. For example, Column one of the report displays the material numbers, and the user feels that he needs some more specific data about the vendor for that material, he can HIDE that data under those material numbers.
And when the user clicks the material number, another report (actually sub report/secondary list) which displays the vendor details will be displayed.
We can have a basic list (number starts from 0) and 20 secondary lists (1 to 21).
Logical Database Reports
Logical database is another tool for ABAP reports. Using LDB we can provide extra features for ABAP reports.
While using LDB there is no need for us to declare Parameters.
Selection-screen as they will be generated automatically.
We have to use the statement NODES in ABAP report.
ABAP Query Reports
ABAP query is another tool for ABAP. It provides efficency for ABAP reports. These reports are very accurate.
Transaction Code : SQ01
Report Writer / Report painter
Super users and end users can use Report Painter/Report Writer tools to write their own reports.
Giving them the ability to report on additional fields at their discretion shifts the report maintenance burden to them, saving SAP support groups time and effort normally spent creating and maintaining the reports.
ALV reports
Sap provides a set of ALV (ABAP LIST VIEWER) function modules which can be put into use to embellish the output of a report. This set of ALV functions is used to enhance the readability and functionality of any report output. Cases arise in sap when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.
In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
The report output can contain up to 90 columns in the display with the wide array of display options.
There is no difference between drill down and interactive report, they are the same.
With drilldown reporting, SAP provides you with an interactive information system to let you evaluate the data collected in your application. This information system is capable of analyzing all the data according to any of the characteristics that describe the data. You can also use any key figures you wish to categorize your data. You can display a number of objects for a given key figure, or a number of key figures for a given object. In addition, the system lets you carry out any number of variance analyses (such as plan/actual comparisons, fiscal year comparisons, comparisons of different objects, and so on).
*More on Classical Vs Interactive*
Classical Reports
These are the most simple reports. Programmers learn this one first. It is just an output of data using the Write statement inside a loop.
Classical reports are normal reports. These reports are not having any sub reports. IT IS HAVING ONLY ONE SCREEN/LIST FOR OUTPUT.
Events In Classical Reports.
INTIALIZATION: This event triggers before selection screen display.
AT-SELECTION-SCREEN: This event triggers after proccesing user input still selection screen is in active mode.
START OF SELECTION: Start of selection screen triggers after proceesing selection screen.
END-OF-SELECTION : It is for Logical Database Reporting.
Events associated with Interactive Reports are:
1. AT LINE-SELECTION
2. AT USER-COMMAND
3. AT PF<key>
4. TOP-OF-PAGE DURING LINE-SELECTION.
HIDE statement holds the data to be displayed in the secondary list.
sy-lisel : contains data of the selected line.
sy-lsind : contains the level of report (from 0 to 21)
Interactive Report Events:
AT LINE-SELECTION : This Event triggers when we double click a line on the list, when the event is triggered a new sublist is going to be generated. Under this event what ever the statements that are been return will be displayed on newly generated sublist.
AT PFn: For predefined function keys...
AT USER-COMMAND : It provides user functions keys.
TOP-OF-PAGE DURING LINE-SELECTION :top of page event for secondary list.

Function Module to get the difference between two times.
Hi All,
I want to know if there is any function module that gives me the difference between two specified times.
For Ex: Time 1: 12/01/2007 00:01 A.M
Time 2: Time 1 - 180 Seconds. This changes the time, also may even change the Date. (As in above situation, the Time 2 will be 11/30/2007 11:58 P.M)
Could some one please suggest if there is any function module for this case.
Thanks in Advance.Hi, You can use the following function module to calculate the diffrence between to dates in the unit that you want.
COPF_DETERMINE_DURATION calculates the difference between two dates and time in minutes and hours.

Difference between Sampling Procedure and Sample-drawing procedure
Friends,
I am new to QM and started learning QM Module. My doubt is what is the difference between Sampling Procedure and Sample-drawing procedure?
The reason for my doubt is, we can determine the sample quantity with Sampling procedure itself. then what is the need of sample-drawing procedure?
Also describe primary, pooled and reserved samples.
Regards,
IMIMINTHi,
Sampling Procedure
Definition
A procedure that contains the rules for determining the sample size for an inspection. The sampling procedure also specifies the type of valuation to use for results recording (attributive, variable, or manual).
Use
You assign a sampling procedure to each characteristic in an inspection plan to calculate the sample size.
Sample-Drawing Procedure
Definition
A master data object in which you plan the drawing of physical samples. In the sample-drawing procedure, you specify:
Which categories of physical samples must be drawn
How many physical samples must drawn
The size of each physical sample
Whether the drawing of physical samples must be confirmed
Use
The system uses the information in the sample-drawing procedure together with the information in the inspection plan to calculate the physical sample sizes, and to create physical-sample records when an inspection lot is created.
Primary Sample : It is the sample drawn from the lot directly.
Pooled Sample : It is the sample whcih is combination of 2 or more primary samples.i.e. primary sample sfrom say 3 differetn drums is mixed and tested.
Reserved Sample :sample which is preserved for the testing in future.
or in other words
Primary samples (1st stage)
Physical samples drawn directly from a material or batch that will be inspected or used to create pooled samples.
Pooled samples (2nd stage)
Physical samples to be created by mixing the contents of two or more primary samples from the same material or batch.
Reserve samples
Primary physical samples drawn from a material or batch reserved for future inspection.
