Find the VI named

Hi
I have a new Labview 2009 suite set up for me by IT (I am a programmer new at Labview) and I have been given a Labview program (also in 2009) to modify for a project.
Unfortunately, the program keeps asking me to 'Find the VI Named "....vi"'. I have searched my PC and the other guy's directory (he is out of contact) and cannot find any of the .vi files requested.
So far I can only guess that:
1/ Labview wasn't set up with all the required modules (but which ones do I ask for? 'All of them' seems a bit unprofessional)
2/ the .vi files are inside .dlls or similar
3/ I need a patch or update for 2009 SP1
4/ The guy didn't give me everything (ie it's on his USB key or something)
If I hit 'ignore' for all the requests, the block diagram comes up with some greyed boxes with question marks in them. I have googled this question but I must be the only one too stupid to work this out myself...
Is there a master list of the NI .vi files so I can say something like 'I need the 'NI-Borg Assimilator' module', which contains the .vi I need?
Examples of .vi needed:

"load select to port bits.vi"
"ULx Write (Digital 1D U8 NChan 1Samp).vi"

I don't think you are missing any LabVIEW modules. But you might be missing some third party drivers.
Any chance you are using a Measurement Computing DAQ device?
The ones starting with UL... sound like ones in the MCC Universal Library. You can dowload and intall their driver from here http://www.mccdaq.com/software.aspx.
KCM fund distort sounds rather odd. I have no clue as to what that is supposed to mean.
The label and load might be a part of the MCC library, but I'm not sure.
Start by downloading and installing the MCC Universal Library, then try again.

Helle All,
I am getting the following error when I call a Discoverer report from a URL link.
"Unable to find the Workbook named:ASSIGNEDPROJECTTEAMRPT
Select a valid Workbook from the list below."
When I get this error the worksheet called "ASSIGNEDPROJECTTEAMRPT" is in the list below. I am wondering why it says the worksheet doesn't exist then gives it to me a list?
Any ideas?

I am getting this error when i click the link in portal screen. The link should display a discoverer report. I am displaying the discoverer reports from portal.

However it provides a list of workbooks and from there i am able to select.

Cannot find the XObject named Fm0003.

I am built a three page AOD report. When I run Test Presentment, the first two pages of the pdf display correctly on the screen, as I page down. When I page down to the third page I get the above message --"Cannot find the XObject named Fm0003". I click OK, and then get the following message --"Could not find font in resource library, using Helvetica instead". The font that I'm using throughout the report is a Times New Roman. The first two pages are in Times New Roman and the third page is in a different font. I welcome anyone who can educate me to what is happening in AOD. Thanks.

* How do I find the XObject named Fm0003?
* How do I determine what font is missing from the resource library?

TOC - Receiving a "Cannot find the file named" error when pressing Ctrl+alt

When I generate a TOC, it comes out beautifully. However, when I press control + alt to check my links, I receive a "cannot find the file named" error message. This happens for the majority of the links. All of the files are present along with the graphics. Everything is in the same folder. They are saved on our network. However, I have packaged and copied the files to my desktop to see if that makes a difference. I am still receiving the same error message.
Has anyone seen this before? Any solutions in Adobe world? All help is appreciated.

That's not at all surprising. & is commonly found on lists of random "characters to avoid in directory and file names".
A comprehensive list of such characters might be impossible to assemble. Even though FM only runs on Windows these days, it could be in a VM on another OS (with its own restrictions, e.g. Mac), using a CMS (with its own restrictions) and working with virtual directories actually located on completely different operating systems (with their own restrictions, e.g. Unix, Linux/Samba, random cloud).
And then there are naming issues in the FM app itself (and other Adobe apps that might need to process the files, like Distiller), which apparently is the case for the comma problem (it may only pop up during render to PDF).

I modified an application written in LabView 6.x. The message please find the vi named "" come up everytime I tried to open the main vi. I followed one of the solution to copy the block diagram, save it to a new vi and open this new vi. It did not work. Any idea?

Somehow, your vi thinks that there is a subvi in it somewhere named "". If you have subvi's in your block diagram, one of them could think it has another subvi in it named "". Sounds like a corrupted vi. Try copying just one section at a time to a new vi, save it, and open it again. This could point to where the problem lies. Then you would have to re-create the code from scratch for the section that is giving the problem.

Unable to find the User Named Account Name@Domain Name while Configuring Workflow Manager

I have installed Work Flow Manager,Service Bus and its Cumulative Updates.
While Configuring Workflow Manger using Workflow Manager configuration wizard i am getting the error while creating a Service Bus Namespace.
I have provided the Service Accounts for both Workflow Manager and Service Bus as Domain\Account instead of
Account@Domain.
While looking in to the Power Shell scripts that are poupulated by the GUI i have identified that
Account@Domain is appended to the ManageUsers switch while creating a Service Bus Namespace and the GUI configuration is failing.

Find the control named "IMAQdx.ctl"

The list of files that Labview is asking to be found includes:

It seems to me as though I am simply missing an installed addon/secondary software which would contain all of these files, however according to my research group advisor, we should have everything we need.
We are supposed to be utilizing the Vision Development Module and other Vision Acquisition software in order to make use of a CCD image of our aparatus, however though we have installed the Vision Development Module and downloaded the .vi given to us by another research group, we are unable to run the program.
Any Advice?

What version of LabVIEW are you using? If you installed the Vision Development Module, you should see on the Block Diagram palette "Vision and Motion", which should have a sub-palette called Vision Utilities, with a sub-palette called Image Management that has IMAQ Copy on it. These palettes will also have many of the other VIs in your list. This should be the case even if you do NOT have drivers installed (or at least I think that's the case ...).
If you do NOT see this palette in the Block Diagram palette set, assume that you do not have Vision Development Module installed properly.

Help:Can not find the file in jar!

Hello everyone:
I build a project using Netbeans 5.0 and make a jar file with it...
The code in the project as follows will throw an exception described that it can not find the file named datasource-config.xml

when I run the project with the main() function as an entry it works perfectly and output:

But when I compressed the project with jar and run it , it will show:
filepath:file:/C:/projects/java_project/search/dist/search.jar!/com/cn/wxjt/lucene/config/datasource-config.xml
there is a (!) between search.jar and /com/cn/wxjt...
I dont know why I generate a ! symbol in the file path... Is it cause the exception->
java.io.FileNotFoundException: file:\C:\projects\java_project\search\dist\search.jar!\com\cn\wxjt\lucene\config\datasource-config.xml

If the file you want to read is in your jar file, use
getClass ().getResourceAsStream

i m using this.getClass().getResource("resource/backend.xml");
the resource is the directory inside the jar file.
when i prints the url it shows:
the jar file is in the WORK directory
URL : jar:file:/home/neeraj/WORK/show.jar!/resource/backend.xml
now when i creates new File using the url.getFile() method the file does not exist.
although the same programs runs well when i uses the InputStream
so plz tell me cant I create a new File from the above method????

Send spool as PDF, error in opening PDF- Could not find the XObject '00014'

Please let me know how I can see the PDF contents proerly.

Can't find the file "Agesa Configure Sweep Coupling.VI"

As I attempt to open a recently moved program... I get the following error "Find the VI named Agesa Configure Sweep Coupling.VI".
It seems to give the same message anytime it accesses the agesa directory. Where can I find this directory, and where should it be located for the program to acess it.

When you downloaded the driver, you should have placed it in the \instr.ib folder. There are a couple of drivers available for the ESA. If you moved this VI to a new pc, you need to download it again.

LV file corrupt? I try to load, it asks to find the file I just tried to load

I have a LV file that when I go to open it, it brings up the prompt saying "please find the Vi named "xxxx.vi" " which is the file that I just tried to open. I select the file again and just stays in a loop and never actually opens the file. Both Ignore Subvi and Stop resort to it going back to the main start screen. The VI was working fine for sometime, then next thing you know it won't open. I have a lot of time invested in this VI, please help!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you are (to use the fancy computer science term) -- hosed . If you have a backup of the file, now is the time to haul it out. If you don't have a backup...
One small consolation is that in my experience when I have lost VIs like that I always rebuilt it better than I built it the first time. Besides, you still have all the subVIs it called, so you are at least that far ahead.

Trying to repair my keychain, but can't find the option to do that. I'm in keychain access, but where is it?

Can't find repair keychain. keeps asking for my password over and over. keychain is not locked.

Tutorial: Resolving Keychain Issues
If you can't access your keychain, or forget your password If you can't get into your keychain file because you've forgotten your password or the keychain file appears to be corrupt, there are a couple of options.
First, if you've forgotten your password, you can use the "Keychain First Aid" utility to make the keychain password the same as the login password. This can be accomplished via the following process:
1. Open Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
2. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Preferences"
3. Click the "First Aid" tab
4. Make sure the "Synchronize login keychain password" box is checked
5. Close the Preferences window
6. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Keychain First Aid"
7. Enter your username and password
8. Click the "Repair" button
The second option is to completely delete your keychain then recreate it. This routine is useful if your keychain appears to be corrupt or otherwise inaccessible. This can be accomplished as follows:
1. Launch Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
2. Click "Show Keychains" in the lower-left corner of the window.
3. Select the problematic keychain from the left-hand pane.
4. Navigate to the "File" menu and select "Delete Keychain '(name of keychain)'"
5. Check all options for deletion and press "OK"
6. Create a new keychain by going to the "File" menu, then "New" and selecting
"New Keychain"
7. You can now make this keychain your default if you desire by selecting it, then
going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make '(name of keychain)' Default"
Login as root and perform repair In some cases, problems with keychains can only be resolved when logged in as the root user.
First, you want to enable the root user:
1. OS X Mountain Lion: Enable and disable the root user
2. OS X Lion: Enable and disable the root user
3. Mac OS X 10.6: Enabling the root user
4. Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X
After enabling the root user, and logging in under this account, again open Keychain Access. First attempt repairs using Keychain First Aid, and failing that, delete then recreate the keychain as described above while logged in as root.
Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user's home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, the Keychain may be to blame.
