Finding Data Source

Hi All,
I have a Data Source "0CA_TS_IS_1" (Time Sheet Approved). I haven't find this DS in RSA6,RSA5 but, I find it RSA3. I need to extract LGART (Wage type) from This Data Source. Is it possiable?

Hi Kumaran,
You should be able to see the datasource in RSA6 of the source system if you can see it in RSA3. Check the following link for the available fields in the datasource.

If the field you are looking for is not available, then you have to enhance the datasource.

Now you got some clue, i.e. some datasource names supports the cube.So in that you need to analyze what feilds you want to and in which datasource you have all that feilds in that way you need to use the DS. For any other information you need to check in sap help sites, here I'm giving some tables in BW, so it will help you.

I am using OA Adapter which listens to an EBiz HRMS event, and I am encountering the following error in $Home\j2ee\oc4j_soa\log\oc4j_soa_default_group_1\oc4j\log.xml while registering the ESB service.

I tried AppsEventSchema with 'NO-SCHEMA' and 'ANY-SCHEMA' also.

I have done a lot of research on this but in vain. Is there any patch for rectifying this error?

You need to check your datasource name jdbc/AIADataSource
Check out your data-sources.xml to make sure you didn't mistype it.

Welcome to SDN Vijay!
I would perform the following steps;
1) Replicate the DataSource from your source system. Steps Tcode RSA1 -> Click on source system -> Find your source system and right click -> click on replicate DataSource
2) To find your infosource, Tcode RSA1 -> Click on infosource -> Find (The binocular or CTLF-F) -> Type in the infosource name.

Do not use the "hardcoded" examples from the book. Check the deployed data-sources and use them as parameter calling lookup method.
The following have been tested using a simple servlet with Jdeveloper 9.0.5.2 but I think other Jdeveloper/OC4J versions work similar.
My application is called ds.
The following command lists the datasources which are deployed with the application.
I ran the following command against the %JDEV_HOME%\j2ee\home standalone OC4J server but it should work against the embedded OC4J server too.

hi,
user tcode rsa6 explode all the nodes and then used find icon to find your required data source. This tcode gives you the list of data source which are active.
User tcode rsa5 to list out the data source which is delivered by sap.

Error - 21007 Search for table returned error - can't find data source??

I am using an Oracle thin driver through a BI JDBC system. The system connects fine when testing in my 2004s portal. It also worked fine in VC and I was able to browse tables and views in the Oracle db. Suddenly it has stopped working. When trying to search for a table in VC it returns the error message above.
The only thing I have changed is the "enable SQL editor" setting in Visual Admin which has been set to true. Changing this back to false has no effect, so I can't see that this should cause the problem.

Data source 2LIS_03_BX is not getting displayed in LBWE

I was trying to extract MM data sources in R3 , I activated 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_BX ,2LIS_03_UM in RSA5 .After tat wen i tried to activate this data sources in LBWE only 2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_UM are displayed under inventory.
please let me know how to get 2LIS_03_BX in LBWE

You wont find data source 2LIS_03_BX in the LBWE screen.
We use this data source as a one time activity. you can directly activate the data soruce using the transaction RSA5 and delete the set up tables and fill the set up tables and initialize to extract the historical stock data.
2LIS_03_BX is not part of LO cockpit, hence you will not see them in LBWE. Pls use transaction code MCNB to load the setup table before you load data into BI.
rest of the data source you use OLI1Bw and OLIZBW to load the set up tables for BF AND UM.

Hi,
When you activate the data source on the r/3 side, you end up capturing it in a transport request.
However on the BW side you go on and replicate the activated data source. On most times you are not prompted to enter the transport request when you replicate the data source. However if prompted, capture the data source where you capture the transfer rules. You will not find anything like data source replica under that request, but you will find data source and your data source will be under it.

I'am working on SALES ANALYSIS Configuration with the help of SAP Best Practices.
I'am trying to load Master Data Attributes/Texts/Hierarchies.
I'am able to load for allmost all the InfoPackages which i created for particular DataSource.
Now i need to load master data for 0PERSON InfoObject under that Person (Attributes) and Person (texts) are there,for this 2 Transfer Rules and the DataSource has to be defined by default as it is defined for other Attributes/Texts/Hierarchies.But i'am unable to find a DataSource and Transfer Rules to create a infopackage for PERSON Attributes and Texts.
Please gudie me with a solution in order to get these Transfer Rules and DataSource for this Attributes and Texts.

Hi,
Install the corresponding master data objects from Business content. Go to data source find out the needed datasource, replicate it. If you want you can migrate it also.
If still you are not getting 0person masterdata object datasource & transformation structure, then you have to create the transformation, Infopackage.
Hope if you will install the business content again, it will solve your problem.

Unable to find the content of data source into infosource

I have successfully created a source system in BW and have activated the business contents but I am unable to find the data source contents in infosource. I have replicated the metadata also but uanble to get? are there any steps to transfer the data from datasource to infosource.?

after the replication, you'll only see the datasources under the node datasources. you need to map a datasource with an infosource (3.5). in bi7 this is not necessary anymore...
but for these kind of basic questions, you should really search the forum before posting a thread.

How-To Find the R/3 Table Name for a BW Data Source

Please advice how can I find the respective table name in R/3 for a particular BW DataSource ?
P/S : I would like a technical how-to instead of referring the table names at HELP.SAP.COM

   2) OLTPSOURCE -> 0CO_OM_CCA_4
   3) EXMETHOD = F1
     (Hence, I assume the Extraction Method is a Function Module)
   4) So, Function Module = BWOM_RS_GET_CTRSTA
   5) Run SE37 in R/3
      How do I find out the specific tables in this Function Module ?
      Would you please list them for me, so I can further refer to the individual tables ?
