Finding Town in Data Quality(SAP BODS)

Hi All,
My first Question hopefully experts reply quickly!
I have one scenario(while cleansing the belgium address) where i have to find town with the help of other components.
FYI, am not getting TOWN from Input.
I am using French Address Cleanse transform(changed the country name to "Belgium" in options).
Can you please help As I am not able to find the town?
Incoming fields:
1) STREET(sometimes contain HOUSE NO also)
2) House No(If street doesnt contain House No, then some value will be present in this fiield)
3) CITY
4) Postal code
What i Mapped(Input Fields):
LOCALITY1 --> CITY
MULTILINE1 --> STREET
MULTILINE2 --> HOUSE NUMBER
POSTCODE --> POSTCODE
Example:
1) GEBROEDERS DE WINTERSTRAAT {Street}
2) 64 {House No}
3) LILLE {CITY}
4) 2275{POSTCODE}
Problem: When i take LOCALITY1_BEST_COMPONENT in "Output" fields i am getting the result as "LILLE" which is actually a CITY/Muncipal.
Here, They have 4(a,b,c,d) Towns under "LILLE" CITY.
Where the street "GEBROEDERS DE WINTERSTRAAT" belongs to the town "C" under CITY "LILLE".
SO, i need to extract TOWN name "C" in the output as well as CITY as "LILLE".

LOCALITY(in DS) is perfectly fetching the value '
LILLE' (not sure which city it belongs to?)
And here instead of mentioning "Gierle, Lille proper, Poederlee and Wechelderzande" i have mentioned "a,b,c,d". (was just lazy in writing those names.. )
FYR, the street ""GEBROEDERS DE WINTERSTRAAT belongs to "Wechelderzande".
So can you help in fetching Wechelderzande out?

Using XML File As Target- Data Integrator (SAP BODI Tool)

I am trying to populate records to an XML File from a table. The XML schema has a node say 'Address'. When I run my job, I get duplicate records in the output XML File. For example: under the element address, the fields are address1 and addres2 then these fields are getting repeated as many times as the number of records in the output file.
Source Data Looks like this                                                                   Target Schema Looks like this

Extracting Data from SAP ERP using BODI/Data Services 4.0

HI,
I am trying to extract data from SAP ERP via SAP extractors using BODI/Data Services 4.0.
I do not have my own ERP system so I am renting remote access from one of the many available on the internet.
I am able to connect BODI to the ERP system and import the extractors metadata.
The problem I am experiencing is that when I run job to extract the data I get the following error:
Vendor-supplied function module <Z_AW_RFC_READ_EXTRACTOR> not found. Ensure that you can execute the function module in SAP via transaction /nSE37.
How do I create the function? Or is the function a SAP standard function?
SAP ERP system being used is: ECC6 EHP4
User has SAP FULL and DEVELOPER authorizations.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Changing Character set in SAP BODS Data Transport

Hi Experts,
I am facing issue in extracting data from SAP.
Job details: I am using an ABAP data Flow which fetches the data from SAP and loads into Oracle table using Data Transport.
Its giving me below error while executing my job:

                                                     End of file was found without reading a complete row for file <D:/DataService/SAP/Local/Z_R3_QMMA>. The expected number of
                                                     columns was <30> while the number of columns actually read was <10>. Please check the input file for errors or verify the
                                                     schema specification for the file format. The number of rows processed was <8870>.
reason: When analyzed I found the reason for this is presence of special characters in data. So while generating the data file in SAP working directory which is available on SAP Application server the SAP code page is 1100 due to which the delimeter of the file and the special characters are represented with #. So once the ABAP is executed and data is read from the file it is treating the # as delimiter and throwing the above error.
I tried to replace the special characters in ABAP data Flow but the ABAP data Flow doesnot support replace_substr function. I also tried changing the Code Page value to UTF-8 in SAP datastore properties but this didnt work as well.
Please let me know what needs to be done to resolve this issue. Is there any way we change the character set while reading from the generated data file in BODS to convert code page 1100 to UTF-8.

Unfortunately, I am no longer working on this particular project/problem. What I did discover though, is that /127 actually refers to character <control>+<backspace>. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delete_character)
In SAP this and any other unknown characters get converted to #.
The conclusion I came to at the time, was that these characters made their way into the actual data and was causing the issue. In fact I think it is still causing the issue, since no one takes responsibility for changing the records, even after being told exactly which records need to be updated ;-)
I think I did try to make the changes on the above mentioned file, but without success.

Hello,
Transaction FTWL is for the DART files (not actually archived data) that are stored in your archive server. In order to run a query, or browse the DART file, you would need to "Import from archive" from within FTWL and then browse the file.
I am not sure what you mean by AS_afb. Please provide more information.

I extracting the data from ECC table and loading it in ORACLE table SAP BODS tool.
While starting the extract itself i am getting the error like below,

This can be caused by many things, I recommend searching SAP Support Portal for ACCESS_VIOLATION and using the Call Stack to track down the specific issue.

the input fields in the SAP DQM 4.0 Real time job Job_Realtime_DQ_SAP_Name_And_Address_Match are:

I want to replace one of the fields (i.e ADDR_TYPE) with "Account_group" column.
The idea is replace, not create of additional fields ( as described in SAP BusinessObjects Data Quality Management (DQM): Enhancements for more fields other than address data for Duplicate Check SAP Business Objects Data Quality Management ( DQM ) Enhancements for more fields other than address data for Duplicate Check.).
Could you please let me know if the standard XML file sent by the RFC server contains the Account_group column.
Any other suggestions and ideas are welcome

Hi,
the additional data tab is controlled by means of classes created in DMS.
if your requirement is something like,
project name
responsible person name etc..
for this - in CL01, you can create class, say Project XYZ
in CT04 - you can create characteristics as project name and person name..etc for this class.
in each characteristics you can maintain the values which will serve the requirement.

I have an Requirement where i need to install data quality management for sap in multiple sap system.
I have installed it successfully for one system .
here my data services is installed in one server with rfc server as windows services in same server.
i have done the required configuration in ecc side.
my question is how do i use same data services jobs which are configured as real time services for both my sap connection?
in simple terms how do i installed dqm for multiple sap system having single data services server.

To upload a data into SAP Table with the help of RFC function in BODS

Hi,
Please provide me step-by-step solution to upload data into any SAP table with the help of RFC function in Data Services.
I have created RFC function that upload data into SAP table. RFC Function contains one table that has same structure as my database table.
In the data services how can i filled the table of RFC function, i am using this function in query transform of data services but it gives me error.

Hi Abhishek,
Did you import the function module in the SAP datastore first? When you open the SAP datastore, the function should be listed in the 'functions' section. If not, import it. Make sure your function is remote executable.
Once the function is there, you can use it in a transformation. In 'Schema Out' right-click on 'Query' (top level) and choose 'New Function Call'. You can then select a datastore and a function in the datastore. The wizard will show you which output parameters are available. I believe you have to add at least one and can select as many as you like.
After confirming your selection the function and the output parameters appear in Schema Out. You can then right-click on the function and choose 'Modify function call'. A popup will appear where you can specify the input parameters.

I am not entirely sure I understand your question. We do have Data Quality blueprints for use in Data Services available. You can find these on the SCN.
The SAP Community Network hosts several Data Quality blueprints which are available for download. Go to http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/ds, and if necessary enter your user id and password or create an account.
Scroll down to Downloads and click the link in Samples Data Services Blueprints. There are several download packages that specialize in different areas and one that has all available samples contained in one download package.
Note: A "review" page displays after clicking the link of the blueprint to be downloaded. Click View this Code Sample to download the file.

Data Services and Data Quality Recommnded Install process

Hi Experts,
I have a few questions. We have some groups that have requested Data Quality be implemented along with another request for Data Services to be implemented. I've seen the requested for Data Services to be installed on the desktop, but from what I've read, it appears to be best to install this on the server side to allow for more of a central benefit to all.
My questions are:
1. Can Data Services (Server) install X.1 3.2 be installed on the same server as X.I 3.1 SP3 Enterprise?
2. Is the Data Services (CLIENT) Version dependent on if the Data Services (Server) install is completed? Basically can the u201CData Services Designeru201D be used without the Server install?
3. Do we require a new License key for this or can I use the Enterprise Server license key?
4. At this time we are not using this to move data in and out of SAP, just using this to read data that is coming from SAP.
From what I read, DATA Services comes with the SAP BusinessObjects Data Integrator or SAP BusinessObjects Data Quality Management solutions. Right now it's seems we dont have a need for the SAP Connection supplement, but definetly something we would implement in the near future. What would be the recommended architecture? A new Server with tomcat and cmc (seperate from our current BOBJ Enterprise servers)? or can DataServices be installed on the same?

Hope you are referring to BOE 3.1 (Business Objects Enterprise) and BODS (Business Objects Data Services) installation on the same server machine.
Am not an expert on BODS installation.
But this is my observation :
We had recently tested on a test machine BOE BOXI 3.1 SP3 (full build) installation before upgrade of our BOE system.
We also have BODS in our environment.
Which we also wanted to check whether we could keep on the same server.
So on this test machine, which already has BOXI 3.1 SP3 build, when i installed BODS server installation,
what we observed was that,
all the menus of BOE went away
and only menus of BODS were seen.
May be BODS installation overwrites/ or uninstalls BOE, if it already exists ?
I dont know. Though i could not fine any documentation, saying that we cannot have BODS and BOE on the same server machine. But this is what we observed.
So we have kept BODS and BOE on 2 different machines running independently and we do not see any problem.

Version can be 3.1 / 4.0 /4.2
I tried to find this information from different sources in Google but not able to get any proper information.
Actually we are trying to figure out how many license we need.
The plan is :

1. If we say it depends on CPU core, then how to define how many cores will be required?
2. Is the calculation is on volumentrics of data that will pass through BODS, if yes what will be the calculation?
3. If I derive the number of cores, how to derive the number of CPU licenses for BODS?
***NOTE: Is there any formula to calculate***
