Finish error messages
Hi,
I'm performing a simple SELECT from a java application using Oracle's thin JDBC driver.
When retrieving a column value from the resultset I get a SQLException with the message written in finish. Why finish? How can I change it? I tried to add the environment variable NLS_LANG=swedish_sweden.we8iso8859p1 but it didn't help.
Can anyone help me with this?

JDBC driver looks into the Java locale instead of the NLS_LANG variable.
Usually encoding and locale are VM or OS dependent. But you can force it to others by either one of these:
1. Add the the SQL, "alter session..." to your JDBC program.
Or,
2. java -Duser.language=SE -Duser.region=sv <java class>
Please note that the locale values(sv and SE) are case senstive.

If you are asking about a photo book in iPhoto, what was the last you did in iPhoto, before the crash happened? Did you add a page with a map?
Then you may have a problem with a bug, where adding a route to a map may render the book unreadable. In that case the best option is to restore the iPhoto library from the last backup you made, before you added the map to the book.
It is not possible to open the book and to delete the unreadable page. You can only delete the book and start over, if this bug is the reason for the crashes. See for example this link: Getting rid of problem photo book -

Disabling the computer's security software during the download and update usually resolves a network timeout error.

My iPhone only downloads apps from iCloud, the songs get almost finish then I get a download error message. Also the only thing that syncs are the apps, not the music when I sync on pc?

I experienced the same issue as you have. What worked for me is the following:
Go to iTunes store on your iPad. Under Downloads (the icon to the bottom right) you should see the episode that is causing you the issue. Delete this episode (swipe to left). Then retry. This worked for me.
The workaround is far from ideal and Apple needs to find a solution for this as you are not the only one who reported this issue.

Please help me figure this out. I'm very unhappy at the moment. I'm fustrated and don't have any idea how to revert to the original version before the update was done on iMovie 10. I NEVER hated APPLE until NOW!! I love APPLE products and apps so please help me stay in that mindset. So I worked on some movie projects when I got my macbook pro 6 months ago. I update reguarly. I saw the update prompt and honestly, I did not think I would have ANY issuess with opening my previous files that I created only a few months ago with this updated version.The new updated version of iMovie 10 won't let me open my previous files I created before the update today. I have a wedding that I'm trying to finish and deliver and now I can't because that file version won't open. I keep getting an error message and the iMovie app closes. Last night I saw the file and tried to open it but no luck. Error message came up again. I reboot and turned off my laptop for the evening and tried again just now but nothing!! I need that video. My job depends on it! I worked so hard on this wedding video and now it's lost and won't open. I work another job and don't have much time. I really don't want to start all over again. Please help me. Thanks so much for your assistance.

Jolly A. RuppI also have Jolly's problem. I found the iMovie 9.0.9 folder and tried to launch the older version of iMove. It would not launch. I removed all of the iMovie preferences from the Preferences folder, removed iMove 10 from the applications folder, and restarted my Mac. iMove 9.0.9 still won't launch and I can't access my videos created with the older version of iMovie. Is there a way to uninstall iMovie 10 and reinstall iMovie 9.0.9?
I am running Yosemitie on a iMac.

Yes, I had found a similar solution also. I'm running XP Pro, SP3. I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair. Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that. -
I had just put the finishing touches on my 36 minute documentatary when I got an error message that the external 1TB HD I was using to store the project had been ejected improperly (must have shaken a cord). The result is that the project would not load in the edit Projects window. I can see the file in the finder window and it will launch iMovie but the file itself will not load in the projects window.
I have contacted apple support and they tried to do a few things... to no available.
With my limited knowledge of file structures I assume that the header file must be corrupt.
Is there a 3rd party utility that can decompile and fix the file structure so it will load properly. I attached multiples .pdf files to an email. Tried to attach the next file before the previous 1 finished attaching. Got error message "this "**" file cannot be attached until the files already attached are finished uploading". Was never able to attach that 1 file to the email that I received the error message for; was able to attach subsequent files to that same email & send it. Now, I often get the same error message, even if I only attach 1 file & esp. when attaching .ai or .jpeg files. What can I do to fix this problem?
It looks like nobody has an answer for this despite of the 80 something views!
And here i thought Adobe admin would be monitoring the forum, but surprisingly, they don't even have the answer for this!!! -

In fact, XE 11.2 is currently not supported on 64 bit Windows machines. See the [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17781_01/install.112/e18803/toc.htm#BABHICJH]System Requirements documented in the Installation Guide for XE 11.2.

When I finished backing up my iphone 5 to my hp pavilion laptop I got an error message R6034. Itunes shut down and I have not been able to reinstall it. The error message says an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. My computer is more than 5 years old and I have never had this problem before. I tried unsuccessfully to reinstall itunes. Any ideas?
