Firefox 7 is slow in loading web pages (over a minute and I give up, but I walked away and they eventually loaded) and IE loads them quickly. I tried all the help solutions with no change. I disabled Norton with no change. I am running Windows 7.
When I restarted in safe mode, everything worked fine, so I disabled add-ons and plug-ins one at a time but couldn't find any of them that were causing the problem.

If i understand what you are saying then you are seeing the WiFi indicator after connecting but Apps are saying that they are not connected to the internet?
Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be to restart your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc. -

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). I was enlarging pictures on Facebook to full screen. When i went to move on. All my tool bars and my task bar have disappeared. I have tried all the suggestions on this site to no avail. I don't know how to do a system restore without my task bar, and don't want to lose my book marks. Please help, i can't grt to my important favorite sites.
Can you launch a new window (Ctrl+n for a normal window, Ctrl+Shift+p for a private window) that has the usual complement of toolbars? If a new window also is missing bars, try using the View menu > Toolbars list to restore them. If the classic menu bar is not displayed, usually tapping the Alt key or the F10 key will show it temporarily.

Firefox became incredibly slow on every web page
Hi,
My Firefox became really slow on all the web pages for unknown reason since one month ago, while I haven't installed any new features and was working with the web sites I used to use. Since then I've switched off most of the plugins such as Flash Player, as I suspected that they might have caused the slowness. But it didn't make any difference.
Working with Firefox has really become a pain now as it reduced my efficiency from 100 to 0. Basically every action I take with keyboard or touchpad has a delay, even clicking on a tab it takes 10 seconds or so to switch to that tab, and every time when launching Firefox, my laptop's CPU goes straight up and remains at 100%. Besides it crashed frequently, or pages became wholy black after some time, which forced me to restart many times a day, even if really few tabs are opened.
I tried to check my plugins through "plugincheck" from Firefox, but it has kept loading there with "Checking with Mozilla on the status of your plugins" for hours without showing anything.
I'm running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 with 3 GB of RAM, and more than half of hard drive space remain free. I also have Google Chrome on my laptop but I still prefer Firefox, if this issue can be solved!
Thanks for any help! :-)It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Cannot get Adobe Reader to load a PDF on Firefox. Tried all the recommended solutions, none work
Every time I try to download a PDF file from a website, I get an error message that "Adobe Acrobat/Reader cannot be opened in a web browser, close it and try again". I have uninstalled and re-installed both firefox and adobe reader as well, and then followed the suggestions again. Still doesn't work. I am running Windows XP
Also, sorry -- one more thought:
When I run through the "Troubleshoot compatibility" it tells me that something is incompatible ("issues found: Incompatible Application"). when it asks me, "which version of Windows did this program work on before?" it doesn't give me windows 7 as an option.

I am trying to download iTunes to my laptop but I keep getting this "Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\ followed by a bunch of numbers and letters. Firefox hangs after a few minutes and freezes whole system -- tried all the help suggestions already
I just updated to the latest version of Firefox and now it hangs after a few minutes of use (maybe when using Facebook)...I tried all of the existing help suggestions and none of them worked. Once it hangs, I can no longer use my machine as it freezes everything. I have to shut down...and even that takes forever to happen. :(
