Firefox does not actually crash. I have frequent power surges and Firefox does not want to reopen after a power loss. Any suggestions?

Power outages are only a few seconds long as the power company switches providers. Happens once about every two weeks. If in a Firefox session, Firefox will not reopen for four to five minutes after the computer is restarted. When it opens, it does not return to the previous session with an error message that essentially states "Gee we're sorry and embarrassed". I am using Window's Vista with Firefox as my default we browser. Firefox is up to date with the latest version installed.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe Mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Any suggestions? As it tries to backup my phone, it takes forever. I let it sit overnight and it barely moved. When I sync my phone to download my podcasts, it backs up in seconds. There's something about updating the software.

There is no supported method to downgrade the iOS on a device.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Does the regular Firefox 8 release version work or does the version crash as well?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Hi, Yes you are correct in iPhoto Prefernces, Advanced tab editing I used to have iPhoto and "Use external editor.". It changed to iPhoto and iPhoto Library. Did this ever get resolved, as I am having the same issue. Trying to learn LR5 AFTER a decade using Aperture. I was able to set up a validated account but when I try to send an e-mail or photo I get the simple " Failed to Send " message. Using latest version of Mac OS X.

Yes, you need an upgrade for native support in Lightroom. You need version 5.70 or higher; current version is 5.71.
Alternatively, you could use the most recent DNG converter and convert the raw files to DNG files before importing into Lightroom.

Sorry to hear you are having issues, but there are 2 ways you can print from that device.
The first one is to simply email photos or documents to your printers email address by attaching them to a new message.
The other option is to download the HP ePrint Home and Biz app from Google Play. The app is free and should allow you to print pictures and documents to the printer with ease. I have added a link below on how to get started with this app.
