Firefox stops working when mouse stops on page.

Firefox stops processing data, downloading, and/or playing videos when mouse stops moving. If I click outside Firefox window, it resumes, or I have to keep moving my mouse.
I reloaded Firefox and Flash, to no avail. Internet Explore works OK.

your best option is probably to downgrade to firefox 24 at the moment until the issue gets resolved.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Firefox stops loading pages and hoses internet connection for all other apps

Running Firefox 3.6.3; XP sp3; FSecure Client Security 9
After using Firefox for a while - sometimes a few minutes, sometimes a few hours, it will stop loading pages. If I click on a link, nothing happens. The program still responds to key / mouse input, but refuses to load any new pages. Furthermore, it stops all internet connections from my machine, so that IE and Opera stop working. I think it also stops email, but I am not sure.
If I quit Firefox, the process is still running and I have to quit it manually from Task Manager. That solves the problem and internet connections are restored.
I have tried in safe mode, I have tried removing all extensions, I have tried deleting my profile and doing a clean re-install. It's driving me crazy. Any thoughts?

Flash no longer working when updating a template page

Recently switched from GoLive over to DW CS3. I've purchased Total Training for DW CS3 to help me with the transition.
I am wanting to create a template page to use for the entire site so that if I need to make a change to the template, it updates my entire website. When I upload the page, the flash image loads fine. The problem I'm having is if I reopen the template.dwt page and make a change, when DW updates the pages that are linked to the template, the flash image in the pages no longer work.
Here are my steps I've taken:
1. Created a page called index.html
2. Made an editable region called "main content" using Insert>Template Objects>Editable Region
3. Created a folder called templates in the root directory
4. File>Save as Template and called it home.html (for testing so I don't mess up my working index.html page)
5. File>New>Page from Template and selected my template.dwt file
6. Added content to the page.
7. File>Save As company-history.html
8. Upload index.html, home.html and company-info.html to the server.
Everything works like it is supposed to.
9. Open template.dwt and make a change.
10. Save page and DW updates the home.html and company-info.html pages
11. Upload to server
12. Flash image on those two pages stop working

When I try to load ABC news I get the error message that says Firefox stopped this page from loading. Do you want to allow it? Of course I do, or I would not have gone there. It does not do this onother pages. How do I make it stop?

It consistently does this when I try to read ABC news and when I try to go to my bank's web site. I am getting real tired of this. This message will pop up over and over even after clicking allow. How do I shut this off it is really annoying.

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Firefox stopw working when I select "Reset Firefox".

I have attempted to reset Firefox multiple times, but it stops working every time. Firefox now has a "Mystart" tab that I was hoping to get rid of by resetting, but I'm not allowed to reset.

Please update Firefox to the latest Firefox 24 version

Firefox freezes frequently when saving a web page.

Hello.
Around 80% of chances when I'm saving a web page, Firefox freezes and nothing works (such as close tabs, reload the page, etc), what I have to do is open the Task Manager and end the process of FF then restart it.
I have this problem for a long time after using FF 4.0 beta (include the latest beta 11), as the beta will end soon. I would like to ask if anyone having this problem too?

Binding not working when returning to same page

Hi, Im developing a portlet that access some data from MYSQL.
I have a simple page with several textfields, all with bindings to a javabean object that is a property of SessionBean1 bean, so it is a Session Scope bean.
In that page I put some buttons like next, prior, etc. to navigate between all registers of my DB. I added some code to event button like this:

As Im a newbie in Java yet I really don't undestand this, I have readed all JSF life cycle documention and portlet life cycle docs but couldn't find an answer. Why binding is not working?

Thanks for this. Unfortunately now I have tried with Standard actions the links do not work at all. The links provided were created with spaces so contained within the links are lots of '%20'. e.g. :

The menus become locked up and unselectable after some use of firefox, will work when restarts but have to keep restarting?

The pull down menus at the top become locked or frozen and unselectable after some use of firefix. When I restart it is fine again for a while. Also I cannot type into the url bar when this happens. I have never had any problems before with firefox so I hope this can be remedied!

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

Fit to Width not working when linking directly to page number

I have set my initial view to Fit to Width. If I link only to the file, the document fits to width. However, when I add a specific page number to the link, the document opens up the full page. It does not fit to width. Is there something else I need to set or is that how it is supposed to function? When I add destinations, the fit to width seems to work fine.

Try adding the view=fitH parameter like:

Firefox only works when i open a website starting with https

i did an update yesterday to firefox 8. Since i have it, i can only website starting with https. All other websites starting with http don't work. How can i fix this problem?

How to keep firefox on top when veiwing other web pages?

i just installed a dish receiver with sling and would like to watch tv in the corner of the computer screen and browse with a second window. but as soon as i do anything on the second window the tv window is gone from viewing.
