Firefox terminates long requests without refreshing or error

I need to access web pages that sometimes take a long time, in the neighborhood of a few minutes. When using Firefox 37.0.2 on Windows 7, Firefox would start the request (spinning wheel on the tab) and then stop after less than 1 minute, while the server still processing the request. Once Firefox stopped, there were no error messages and the browser window is not refreshed (whatever was on it before stayed).
This problem seems to only happen to Firefox since we use chrome/IE and seems fine.
The problem started to happen after we installed a sonic wall. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks all for the responses but no luck. Here are the test results:
1. We tried to start with safe mode. Firefox is running on Windows 7 and we use "Help -> Restart with Add-on Disabled". No change. Also, the sonicwall I mentioned actually is a router (piece of hardware) from Dell. It's not an Add-on to Firefox in case there are any confusions.
2. The best to my knowledge, I think this is what happened:
a) Firefox sent a request to the server
b) server received the request and tries to process
c) We can see Firefox spinning from the browser tab
d) after a short period ( a few seconds to 30 seconds), Firefox stopped "spinning" but no update to the browser screen
e) The server continued processing the request but couldn't return the result since Firefox already stopped.
3) The server was developed using ruby on rails, I created a page that sleeps for 90 sec and tried. Firefox does the same thing (sending request, spinning and stop). It is interesting that for a pure sleep, Firefox stopped much faster, maybe 5 seconds.

Firefox connection was reset error for a long request

I have a web service api which takes 5 minutes to respond a JSON response message.
In firefox (version 32.0.3), I get a "The connection was reset" error after 2 to 3 minutes.
When I call my call my API in Chrome, there is no error and I get the intended response after 5 minutes.
I have tried the following without any luck:
1. tweaking timeout values in about:config
2. clearing browser caches
3. setting "No proxy" in network settings
4. disabling ad-ons and starting in safe mode.

I tried it with Firefox 29 and even 22, still after 3 minutes it just gives a connect reset.
Also, to provide more context, I am making a REST API call whih takes 5 minutes to respond. When I deploy the application on localhost, it (firefox) does not give a connect reset error and completes. But, when I deploy it on a remote server, it gives this error.

However my cookies are still enabled and and i have never changed my settings

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Post system refresh, "Request IDoc : IDoc with errors added"

Hello All,
Post system refresh, we are not able to execute the data loads.
While loading the Infopackage, the overall status is still showing in YELLOW status. but in the Transfer (IDOCs & TRFC), it shows an Error message as "Request IDoc : IDoc with errors added"
Yesterday immediately after the refresh, we were able to execute the master data loads (full loads)...
However, transaction loads (delta) is facing issues.
Today, we are facing the problem in both master and transaction data.
Please help!!!! Its a very critical issue!!!

While selecting the Infopackage to run the INIT load, it is taking me to the ECC login screen. Once i enter my credentials, its showing a dump with the message:

Display error message without refreshing the entire jsp

I want to display the server side error messages in the jsp without refreshing the entire jsp. How can this be achieved?
I think there is some way with use of AJAX. If yes can you please elaborate on the same as to how to do this.

In the project it's presented:
1) how the servlet can send JSON data depending on the request's parameter
2) how to obtain this data on the client side and show in on the page using jQuery without refreshing the whole site
What You need to do is just to send the error (as JSON data) insetad of the values that are passed now and display this error on the page.

Please give a bit more system details. Which OS and version are you on? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit. Try downloading the Creative Cloud App if not already installed from: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud. You can choose to install PS from withing this app and need not rely on web page.

Error triggering EDI subsystem (GIS): Process request without transaction.

I'm trying to configure SAP to trigger the EDI subsytem (Sterling's GIS). I'm getting error status "20":
Error for Remote Function Call with port "GIS"
Error message from RFC_REMOTE_EXEC
Process request without transaction. TID is empty.
Does anyone know what this means?

New LUN Takes A long Time To Format and Errors Out

Good afternoon,<o:p></o:p>
I have a Hyper-V Cluster composed of 4 nodes and these nodes are able to access multiple CSVs (14 in total). I recently requested a new LUN (LUN 15)to be provisioned
to my Hyper-V cluster in the size of 500GB. Here is my problem:<o:p></o:p>
1. Formatting of a 500GB LUN (with quick format selected) should not take more than a few seconds. Instead, the quick format takes about 2hrs if not longer. I have actually
seen it go for half the day.<o:p></o:p>
2. Once the formatting has completed (no errors), taking the formatted LUN offline freezes the Computer Management screen and shows the status (Not Responding). This
will take place for 30 minutes or less and show that the LUN has been taken offline.<o:p></o:p>
3. In the Failover Cluster Manager, detecting the disks takes about 15 minutes. Once the available LUNs have been detected I can add the 500GB LUN to the Disks screen
without any problems.<o:p></o:p>
4. While in the Disks screen, adding the LUN to the Clustered Shared Volumes takes about 5 minutes (too long).<o:p></o:p>
Already seeing that there is a problem, I went ahead and used the Hyper-V Manager to create a 200GB vhd on the new LUN which has been added to the CSV. The bar indicating
the progress of the vhd creation does not display any progress (no green progress bar appears, not even a tiny bit of it) and after 3 hours (more or less) I receive an error, stating that the creation of the vhd failed.
<o:p>NOTE: The vhd shows up in Volume 9 (LUN 15) but I can only bet that it will not work, plus I would not want to work with a vhd file which failed during the
creation process.</o:p>
<o:p>Long story short, I repeated the above steps to see if that was a temporary problem, but it is not. The same problem occurs no matter which Hyper-V cluster
node the operations are performed on. I would like to add, that I tested the creation of a vhd on an already configured LUN and the creation was completed successfully, and within a n expected time frame.</o:p>
NOTE: When LUN 15 errors out, it's status shows "Failed" in the Failover Cluster Manager. This in turn, causes the re-scanning of available disks to take forever (in Computer Management) and it keeps searching. Pretty
much, the fail of one LUN affects the entire functionality of the entire Hyper-V Cluster.

That can be a symptom of a poorly performing DNS. E.g. IE tries a lookup but doesn't wait long enough to get the answer; meanwhile the lookup proceeds, gets cached, etc.; so now when you try your "refresh" it is all there ready to go. Unfortunately,
I don't think there is any way of tuning your TCP to avoid this symptom. A workaround would be trying a different DNS. (A related workaround is to avoid a DNS relay to your router and make the OS aware of your real DNS.) A way of changing
the symptom is to always do enough in a cmd window to ensure a complete lookup is cached before you make your first request using IE, (e.g. using ping -n 1 because you don't care at that point if there
is connectivity for ICMP). But there may be problems doing that, depending on aliases and redirects and short Time To Live values.
Post some details for a specific publicly accessible example, if you would like to see how these ideas could work with it.

While loading data to ODS from the sources system there is new error request appearing in the ODS with following description:

Unable to see the error details as this request is not appearing in the monitor, unable to delete the request from the ODS and the error message is below.

My thoughts on this...
This problem might be caused by a program error.
DataStore objects allow you to check or generate master data ID (SID) values during the activation. If you choose to do this, the parallel processes may terminate.
The following prerequisites must apply:-
You activate the DataStore object data in parallel (see transaction RSODSO_SETTINGS).
During the activation, SID values are checked or generated (option "Generation of SID Values" is set).
The generated programs of the InfoObjects of the DataStore objects are not current at the start of the activation (in particular, after metadata changes).

Managing Request without Monitor Log: APO Request or Terminated Request Gen

Hello Everyone,
Need some help of managing a system created DTP named Request without Monitor Log: APO Request or Terminated Request Generation. This is like a staging DTP provided by SAP to support data loads to DSO or Cube and, it's good if the process goes smoothly.
However when we encountered unnecessary error such as tables space or memory problem, this particular job will get stuck and there's no way to move forward or backwards from this point. There were some answers to delete the request from RSICCONT, but I don't see the direct relations here, or maybe I'm wrong.
My only question - Have anyone any idea on how to work around this.
The last thing I've in hand is to delete the whole thing (requests) and re-do from start (extraction). Not a pleasant thing as this DSO feeds to 2 Cube & 1 DSO and then to another Cube.

sad to knw you had to delete the whole data and reload. I faced the same issue today and here is what i did,
when you go to the reconstruction tab, you will find 2 ticks present
1st one that tells if request is available in data target and
2nd which gives the transfer structure status.
Now, if the first check is crossed it could mean 2 things....data no longer exists in data target or data was not updated to data target these are 2 different things.
So, in your case it wud have sed data was not updated to the target.
Solution, just reconstruct that request and then in the request tab mark it red and delete again since you dont need it.... then the activation through process chain will not fail.
