Firefox won't let me update. It tells me I have to reboot each time to finish a earlier update. I tried three times.

When I try to update a popup screen tells me that I need to reboot to complete a previous update. I have rebooted three times and keep getting the same message.

Wow that was really quick, thank you so much. Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it. I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names. isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)
either way, ill do what you suggested to the best of my abilities and thank you so much for answering my questions, i can't even open the program as its incompatible and find out the info from that) so I'm in a bit of a pickle and your response was so thorough and it didn't seem to be posted long enough to even write a well researched response, thanks, all the best,

Firefox won't let me Update my SYNC, SYNC'ing old Data

I had an old version of Firefox Sync, however I have recently updated my settings and would also like to update the sync as well, however The Sync program keeps loading in the old sync data and I see no way to update the sync data.

I tried to update to Firefox 3.6.13 yesterday, but the "volume" is still on my desktop although i have the updated 3.6.13, but nowI can't get new update that Firefox won't let me get because I don't have permission, although I do.

The problem is that I don't now what to do with the blue "volume" and also now I can't get the next update to 3.6.14 because Firefox says I don't have permission to make updates on this computer. But I do! I am the person who uses this computer and there is no "system administrator" to go to and there is no different account from which to do the update. I am 74 years old and this all very hard for me, but shouldn't leave me stranded with no updates.

I have already tried removing firefox from my firewall. Even when I do that, my firewall doesn't detect firefox and prompt me to add it. And when I manually add it, it still doesn't work anyways. I've already tried the link as well, but it has been unhelpful. :/

When I try to open/print or save to hard drive /print a PDF sent me as an email attachment, Firefox won't print. I WILL tell me what top do to FAX something, which is not what I was trying to do.

I opened this same PDF a week ago and was able to print it. I was just trying to print a spare copy today. I was able to get it to work by accessing my email through another browser. But, in Firefox, it didn't want to print. It was only interested in telling me what I needed to do uin order to fax something.

Ok two things based on the crash report and the steps you took right before the crash:
# Try to disable scrolling acceleration and restart Firefox. Does it continue to crash?
# Try Safe Mode and do the same task as above with email and the pdf [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]
# Also pdf.js may be helpful to read pdfs in the meantime. You can change the default reader in the Preferences/Options > Application menu of Firefox.
# Try to clear out the downloads folder and update flash to version 14 (that should do it)

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
* Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

Are you using gray system disks from another mac? Normally that message means you're trying, for example, to use disks delivered with a MacBook to install on an iMac. The system disks are locked to the systems they are delivered with and can't be used on other mac hardware.
If that's the case here, call the online Apple store, which in the US is at 800-MY-APPLE, and order a retail copy of Snow Leopard 10.6.

Whether it is gmail, Facebook, or more specifically this site (http://www.carnivalentertainment.com/index.htm), Firefox won't let me upload any type of file. Of course, if the Web site offers a standard uploader then I have a better chance of having a successful upload, but if it is not offered, then I am basically out of luck.

In my Program files list I see iTunes and iTunes (2) and even iPod and iPod (2) where a tech had to back up and do this for me before. I'm just trying to fix it all. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below." I can even run a search and find the folder, but it gives me the same error message. I was planning on using the Microsoft Fix-It tool to help uninstall then Reinstall iTunes. But I need to backup my library. So, how do I copy or back up my iTunes library of over 1,500 songs? Can I copy the folder to desktop or can I use a Flash Drive to backup my music? I don't want to do anything until I know for sure how I can backup my songs, and then reinstall them into iTunes. Thanks for any help.

Ok, thanks that helps. I don't have an external hard drive though. What about backing up through 'the cloud'? I'm just wondering since my husband syncs his iPod to the PC through iTunes and he's worried that he will lose all the songs on his iPod if the library is lost from iTunes and he tries to 'sync' it up again. I'm not exactly sure how to 'copy the entire iTunes folder' either. I kinda suck at this unless I have step by step instructions, which I haven't found yet on iTunes help or other sources.
The only way I know how to back anything up is by going back to a restore point, etc. (as stated before, we don't have an external hard drive.)

You won't be able to open it on your computer, ibooks can currently only be read in the iBooks app on an iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. How were you trying to get it to your phone, syncing it by selecting it on the iPhone's Books tab when connected to your computer's iTunes, or by dragging-and-dropping it from the Books part of your iTunes library over and onto the iPhone 'device' ? Another option is to try re-downloading it directly in the iBooks app on your iPhone via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in it (re-downloading).

My husband and I are using the same iTunes account on all mac & pc computers, but the libraries are different on each machine. We always manually manage our music (no auto sync). iTunes is up to date on the PCs. My husband uses our joint iTunes account on his pc, but once again, has a different collection in his library from those on the other machines. He can't load any music from his PC to his iphone 4. I can load music from my mac library to my iphone 4s, but cannot load from my pc library to my iphone 4s. How can I switch my main library that it syncs with from the mac to the pc?

The 1G iPod can only go as high as 3.1.3. The 1G does not have an internal speaker or volume buttons on the upper left edge.
