Fix Assets and EC-PCA ledger

Hello team,
I am aslo kind of new with Fix Assets. I was reconciling PCA ledger ( We just went Live) in trying to reconcile by using T-code 0KE1, I acciedntally deleted some documenst related to a fix asset settlement account in PCA ledger.
I tried reposting documents by executing 1KE8 and adding the FI docuemnts but nothign gets posted. Do I have to use a different transaction to re post fix assets documents, or do I have to re-settle even after the months have been closed? I just need to see the settlement documents in PCA ledger, FI is fine.
Thank You for yoru help,

You can use 9KE0 to post profit center documents.

  • Fixed Asset and G/L reconciliation

    Dear All
Can anyone help me with how best to reconcile the fixed asset module with the General Ledger. Is there a guideline or process on what reports are best used and how to do this.
    Many Thanks

    Hi,
The reconciliation reports (via SE38) are:
    RAABST02 - totals
    RAABST01 - per asset class (reconciliation account)/asset

  • PO created for fixed asset and other issues

1)Where does asset clearing account or CIP clearing account picks up in while creating a Purchase order for a fixed asset ?Is it from the item itself while defined or any other place ?
2)How does the accounting line flows from Fixed asset to General ledger especially for CIP assets?
3)How can a asset be attached to corporate book and tax book ,what is the set up required ?
    Thanks

1)Where does asset clearing account or CIP clearing account picks up in while creating a Purchase order for a fixed asset ?Is it from the item itself while defined or any other place ?
Account gets defaulted from Item if it is there, if not you have to enter manually. But if you have customized your account generator, you have to look at the account generator.
2)How does the accounting line flows from Fixed asset to General ledger especially for CIP assets?
If you are creating a PO for an expense item, and have used CIP Asset Clearing Account in the PO Distributions it gets eligble. When you invoice this PO, this CIP Clearing Account gets Debited.
    Cr Liability 100
    Dr CIP Clearing Account 100
Obviously as this is setup as an asset account (flexfield qualifiers) this gets eligble for the mass addition transfers once you validate and account the invoice. When you run the mass additions create and post, these accounting entries will get created.
    Cr CIP Clearing Account 100
Dr CIP Asset Cost Account 100
These accounts are defined at the asset category. The asset category for the mass additions is taken from the item setup (Purchasing Tab). Ofcourse this can be entirely different in R12.
Asset Book is derived based the asset category. Create Journal Entries program transfers the accounting entries to GL. Assets Creates the entries for the CIP Addition process in FA before transferring them to GL.
3)How can a asset be attached to corporate book and tax book ,what is the set up required ?
First you create a corporate book and then create a tax book and assign corporate book to this. WHile creating the tax book if you check the Allow CIP Asset check box (Tax Rules tab), the asset will automatically get copied into the tax book.

  • Fixed Asset: market value

    Hi All!
Due to IAS we must post an special provision:
when the inmaterial fixed asset value market is minor than fixed asset net value we have to post a provision by depreciation (in order to reflect the possible loss when we sale it)
This provision does not affect the fixed asset countable net value. So that provision don't have post in 01 depreciation area. But:
1- when we sell the assets the provision must appear in the sale affecting to the benefit or loss.
2- I need to know the provision for each fixed assets. That's why we need SAP shows its in FI-AA area.
With the transactions under Manual Value Correction folder (fixed asset menu) the fixed asset net value is modified.
We've tried to implement a second area doesn’t affect to fixed
asset values from the 01 depreciation area and vice verse to post there this provision. But The system doesn’t allow that (message error number AC528)
    Do have more ideas?
    Thank You in advance

Hi Vijay, thank you for your answer but...
It seems that Transferred Reserves is used to sell a fixed asset and transfer the benefit to other asset (If I've undertood right)
I put an exemple to fix the question:
    I adquiered a fixed asset by 1.000 euros (a building) in 2005
    - Deprecation key: LIND (Str.-line) /  Use Life: 10 years
In 2007 my building on second hand house market is valuated in 500 euros (minor than fixed asset countable net value 800 euros).
So I must post a provision by depreciation by 300 euros. That post does'nt affect to fixed asset countable net value (is just a provision). My fixed asset countable net value is 800 euros.
In 2010 I sold my asset by 1.000 euros. My fixed asset countable net value is 500 euros. So my profit is 500 euros. Then I must to reverse the provision post in 2007 .
I need to post that provision related to fixed asset but without affect to asset net value, to reverse that in the asset sale.
    Thank You very much
    Francesc

  • New user to Oracle 11i who needs help on creation of new fixed asset class

    Hi all,
I am new to my Company who is using Oracle 11i. And the Company has a new class of fixed asset and a GL code has been created. But there is no link between the Fixed Asset Manager and the GL code, i.e. depreciation is not linked, additions are not captured into "Cost register", no asset number was assigned in Oracle. Please help.
    Thanks,
    Simon

    Hi.
No, Simon, it does not work that way.
First, be sure that the distribution line has the flag "Track as Asset" checked.
Second, the GL Account to be used on the distribution line must be the one defined, in the FA Asset Category, as the Asset Clearing Account.
In FA, navigate to /Setup/Asset System/Asset Categories. Following, query a Category. There you can see which account has been used as the Asset Clearing Account.
You can use as many Asset Clearing accounts as you which, but normally, all Categories share the same account.
Now reverse the distribution line and cretae a new one with the correct account. Post it, run the Mass Additions Process and you will see the that the addition was created.
    Hope this helps.

  • Assets (Investment profile): Transfer value from AuC to Fixed asset

    Good afternoon all,
We have implemented Assets across investments profile. The settlement of investment is u201CSummary settlementu201D and we do not have u201CList of Originsu201D.
We have created a project and then a WBS that automatically creates the AuC (asset under construction).  Transaction code CJ20N.
Then we have created the purchase order (ME21N) and afterwards we have carried out an entry sheet (ML81N) where we have informed the WBS previously created.
Through CJ88 we have done the settlement of the WBS and we have checked it.
Now we have created the fixed asset and we would like to transfer the value of the AuC to the fixed asset. I am not able and I am a bit lost. I do not how to perform it.
    Any idea?
Many thanks and regards in advance. Daniel

    Hi Renfe,
If the asset is an asset under construction belonging to an investment measure, then the transaction code KO88 needs to be used.

  • How to clear all fixed assets in SAP Business One

Client wants to clear all fixed assets and create new ones. What is the best way to do it.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
My assumption is that your customer is using 9.0, is it?
I assume that the reason is because there was a mistake during the implementation, meaning that assets created using the application or using import fixed assets master data from excel are not what the user wanted.
The existing rule is that only assets in status 'new' can be removed, and this is a consistency requirement, both technical and from accountancy point of view.
So if the asset is not in status 'new' , it cannot be removed.
What you can do is cancel all transactions generated for the asset, acquisitions, retirements, etc, starting from the last, transaction, until you cancel the first.
Then you execute again depreciation run, to ensure any automatic posted depreciation is reverted.
This way the asset will remain in the system, but with no value. And you can eneter the new assets that will substitute them.

  • CJ88 Issue - Periodic settlement to a fixed asset

    Dear partners:
We are facing troubles because of this situation:
I am trying to make a periodic settlement using CJ88, but then appears error AA834. It only happens with one external activity linked to a purchase order with an advance payment. With other activities which have a periodic settlement to the same definitive fixed asset and no advance payment, there is no problem with the operation using CJ88.
Please excuse me if I am not being clear, I am an engineer and it si very difficult for me to talk about financial stuff even in my first laguage!
    Best regards,
    Diego C.

    Hi,
Please check whether you have defined in transaction code OAYB for "Transaction type group" 15 (down payments) the asset class of the affected asset You are posting to in settlement (normally this is the AuC which You can derive from the settlement rule->from there You can check the asset class).  You might receive the error on in settlement as indicated in the long text for the exact transaction group. Normally for transaction type group 15 you have to define all AuC classes to run settlement properly.
Hope it will be helpful for you.
    best regards, Takashi

  • How to Link equipments(PM) in a Settlement from AUC to Final Fixed Asset

    Hi All,
I need your help with an integration problem between AA, CO and PM.
    This is the scenario:
We are buying equipments that should not be capitaliazed until deliver them to the customer so to support this we do the following flow:
    1. Create an sheduling agreement for the whole year with and AUC and a statistical Internal Order.
    2. We create a 'Good receipt' for purchasing equipments(PM) againts the scheduking agreement. At this time we store the equipments in a specific storage location and those equipments are not capitalized. The equipments are create automatically.
    3. We deliver the equipments to the customer, not necessarily all purchased equipments.
    4. Monthly we have to capitalize the equipments that were delivered to the customer so we create a final fixed asset and execute the settlement of the AUC againts that final fixed.(First AIAB to create settlement rule and then AIBU to distribute)
    Problem:
When we execute AIAB for the step 4 we can not link the equipments with the final fixed asset, in the settlement rule we have to calculate manually the percentage or the amount that shoul be settle according to the equipments that were deliver to the customer, but we would like to:
    1. Link the equipments to the final fixed asset.
    2. Update the material and quantity in the FI posting line item.
    3. Update the quantity field in the final fixed asset master record automatically.
    Do you have any idea?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Please check in the screen layout for Asset Master. I think the equipment field is available.

  • FAGL_FC_TRANS for Fixed Assets

    SAP experts,
We are doing FC Valuation and translation for a  foreign subsidiaries to report US GAAP . ( FAGL_FC_VAL for FC valuation followed by FAGL_FC_TRANS for Translating the group currency with spot/avg  raye for BS and PL respectively). Confiured  BS adjustment account  for translation and the translation difference posted at Month end ( BS adjustment acccount) at month end and reverse it on 1st day of next period. No update on individual accounts.
The  FASB  docs explains that  FASB  amount is to strip off the EX rate influence on the BS numbers of Foreign subsidiaries. ( Group currency amount  of Foreign Subsidiary in SAP)
Gone thru SDN and came to know the treatment to be given to  Fixed assets. Looks like it  need not be valuated  as it sits on Balance sheet long time.  It is not clear . In simple terms do we have to  include Fixed assets and accumilated depreciation in FAGL_FC_TRANS or not?
Answer is yes  for Translation the what rate . How do I derive the correct historical rate as the assets are carried over a long period when we do not update the assets Group currency amount.
Do we do the  translation  for all P&L accounts also?
    Appreciate early replies.
    Regards

    Please see my responses below.
    1. For all BS accounts using Spot rate - yes, the rate on the last day of the month.
    2. For Fixed assets account different rate - same rate applied to all balance sheet accounts
    3. For PL balances separately after ticking the P&L accounts - yes, but this is at the average rate for the month
    4. Do we have to check (tick mark) the u2018valuate period balance only u2018 on the screen for PL? YES
Is the fixed assets GL accounts are to be treated in a different way unlike other BS accounts? - I don't see any reason why they should be handled differently.
The Fixed assets are to be re measured with different ex rate ie Historical rate? - No.  It is the equity that you want to keep at historical rate.
How do I get historical rate? - The historical rate is on the individual postings on the account.  You don't need to get the historical rate from anywhere, as you just leave the historical rate on equity account postings, by excluding these accounts from the selection screen of your Balance Sheet translation variant.
Make sure that for BS translation, you also reverse the translation program entries on the first day of next month.  You don't need to do this for PL translation, as you are translating period balance only.
What steps to be followed to complete the FASB52 and how to reconcile with manual. - All of the above conform with FAS 52 rule.  What do you have in your manual record?  I would eliminate the need for any reconciliation once you are in SAP.  A spot check in your testing cycles should do!

  • FIXED ASSETS - USEFUL LIFE

    Hi,
I´m modifying the useful life of some fixed assets and don´t have problems since it makes the amortization assessed since they are and it me re-calculates those who even remain.
The problem is that they request that, in first foreseen, amortization does not load the difference that exists between the aortas  and that correspondent with the new useful life. There is way of doing that it first amortization goes out without the adjustment?
    Thanks in advance.-

    Hi Markus,
Sorry to come back to you regarding this question. Unfortunately we are not still on 6.0 so we can't take advantage of the new functionality.
I am now trying to make an asset transfer through transaction ABUMN but the new asset is taking into account the capitalisation value of the original asset rather than the net book value that we would need the system to consider to calculate the new depreciation values.
Do you know if there is a way to solve this?
    Thanks a lot. Best regards
