Flash button play over sound in both over and down states?

I have created a button and set a sound on it for the over
state. The sound plays correctly when the button enters the over
state, but it plays again when the button enters the down state.
Here's what I did as a test:
In an empty Flash9/ActionScript3 project:
1. Create a new button symbol
2. Insert key frames for up/down/over/hit
3. Draw a rect on each of those keyframes (just for testing
purposes so you can see it)
4. Go to over state and set the Sound property to a sound in
the libray. Set effect:none, sync:event/repeat/1
5. Verify that the down state still says sound:none
Now put that symbol in the scene and try it out. For me the
over sound will play both when you mouse over the button and when
you click on it. Does this make any sense?

Well, on the mc_data movie clip, I had the animation going up and down with stop actions to stop it. so I put labels on those areas and tried to just control it that way. Seemed simple enough, but not working.
I really don't know how to control the toggle up and down in AS without using the timeline....just trying to help a friend, and ready to scream..I thought this would be so simple...
would be easier to explain if I could show you a dummy file...but I still don't see an attach button????

At least I'm not the only one with the issue. I was looking it up so see if others had the same problem and found a bunch of posts about it. I'm assuming it's not the phone then, it's the software. Should I bring it to the Apple Store? Replacing the phone seems stupid, because the phone isn't really the problem. It's the software! Maybe the iOS 5.0.2 will fix it??? I don't really want to wait though, it's a pain. If a lot of people have this issue it should get Apple's attention. They need to do something to fix it, ASAP!

Try a Hard Reset as follows.
Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and start the notebook.

Need simple flash that plays a sound, urgent!

Hey,
I haven't worked with flash for a long time and don't have it installed on my computer... But I need a very simple flash to can play a sound once.
All it should do it so recive an url to a wav file and play it without display anything, thats it. So if anyone here could make on it would help a lot as I won't de able to do it myself.
It is very urgent and the background to this problem is that i have a website that should play a sound at a certain time but the technic I use now don't work on all computers/browsers/security setting (or what ever the problem is that I can't find). There was a complicated flash before that worked but it was to hard to update with all logic so I had it replaced so that the logic is on the page and not in the flash.

Sound from both speakers and headset! How to fix?

Hi I've had this problem since buying my laptop early last year; whenever I skype call, all other sounds except for my call itself comes out through the speaker. Due to my mic being internal I am then forced to play games without sound and am unable to watch videos/ movies whilst skyping. I have googled this, and it appeared people has had identical issues in the past. However, the remedy for this issue does not work for me. I go into: Tools -> Options -> Audio Settings; but there is not option for Headphones/ Speaker. It only has speakers and headphones separately for me. Please help me as I have been unable to play games with sound/ watch videos for the past year while in skype (Which is extremely frequent). Thanks

Solved: Attention T510 owners: Audio / sound volume goes up and down

Hi all,
I am a new owner of a T510, and have discovered the audio goes up and down when listening to music through the speakers, running on battery. I would like to get in contact with other T510 owners, who can test if their unit has the same problem - try this:
1. Check all the settings in the SmartAudio control panel (using the newest driver) - making sure no EQ is set, nor VOIP settings or anything like that.
2. Check that no plugin was loaded in the sound control options (I am using Windows 7, 32 bit).
Now try and play this youtube song, and listen to the volume at around 40 seconds when the lead singer begins - does your audio volume go up and then down again when he stops? If you listen to the complete song, it goes up and down some more times.

I can unfortunately now add, that the problem is also there when using the AC adapter. It is so **bleep** annoying the volume fluctuates, and it is VERY easy to hear on the above link. Hoping to hear from other T510 users what their findings is. For information I can tell I am using the power plan called "Maximum Performance", in the power manager from Lenovo. The T510 model is a 4349-4JG.

I have now had time to test it some more, using another HDD (didnt want to reinstall windows on my SSD, hehe) - and can hereby say that it seems to be a bug in the audio driver / SmartAudio control panel. Clean Windows 7, 32 bit, has the problems - but when you disable the VOIP function in the Smart Audio control panel, the problem disappears (actually it was just the VOIP function that was active before). If you then try to enable the VOIP function again, the "problem" does not come back (hence the bug comes into action now). After this test, I put my SSD back into the laptop, and tried to mess with the VOIP functions (again, had already tried to mess with it), and it did not do anything (hence the bug is active now). Therefore I reinstalled the audio driver - tried to check if the problem was there, it was. Then I did the same procedure as on the other HDD, tried to disable the VOIP (before I installed anything else and such!), and the problem is now gone. And the result now is that when I try and enable the VOIP function again, the problem does not come back (hence the bug is now active) = me happy
In short terms:
The bug can either have the VOIP enabled and you can not disable it, or it can be the other way around - it cant be enabled. To "turn" the bug around, reinstall the audio driver :-)

Ive been having this problem with my Compaq CQ60-615DX for almost a year now. When im listening to music I can hear the audio going up and down through it. One sec itll be loud and the next its like the audio being turned down (but the volume bar does not move). I also have SmartAudio with the Conexant High Definition. So, I see that you have figured it out. Ive tried to understand what you said but im not very literate with computers. Could you explain how to stop it step by step? I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Indeed you may. Here's how:
Insert a Button Object on your slide.
Configure the Button to do nothing when clicked. (No Action)
In the properties for the Button object, click the Options
tab.
Enable the Success caption.
Configure the Success caption to be transparent with no text.
Then click the Audio tab of the caption properties.
Select your audio clip.
The end result should be that when your user clicks the
button, the audio clip plays. But this may pose a problem. The
button can only be clicked a single time to produce the effect.
Because of this, you may wish to insert a blank slide immediately
before the slide with the button. Then program the button to jump
to the previous slide. This should "refresh" the current slide so
your button will work over and over.

Static over mic in both games and ventr

Let me start out by saying that I have used creative products for over 0 years now and never encountered a problem until now. I play alot of online games, mainly Counterstirke Source and Trackmania. Upon building my current system I started using onboard sound because I didn't have enough money in my budget to buy a sound card. Whenever I played games and used ventrilo, my voice over the mic would be staticy and annoying. i would have to leave the vent server and rejoin to stop it. Ingame voice program in CS Source was the same. Since I had never had this problem before, I decided to buy a soundblaster audigy se sound card since they were inexpensi've and available. I disabled onboard sound in bios, uninstalled all software related to my onboard sound, and installed the audigy se. I'm still having the same problem as before. I ran the creative diagnostic tool and it keeps telling me that directsound tests fail. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my problem or not. One thing me and my friends notice is that if I change volume settings or mic settings in one game or in the system settings, it changes them globally, for EVERY game and ventrilo. I've never encounted such a problem before. Any help is appreciated. I'm presently using the newest drivers for my card. I had the same problem with the drivers on the installation disc. Flash Player playing multiple sound feeds at once...even when browser is closed

I recently updated my Flash Player to 11.3 (most recent version). When I go to a site which utilizes Flash (e.g. YouTube), I will start the video, and then about 10 seconds later, I get multiple sound feeds at the same time. They all sound like commercials, or tv channels. Even when I close my browser, the sound continues. When I open my sound mixer, there is a "program" listed of "winrscmde" which is playing the various audio channels all at once. When I go into the task manager, "winrscmde" shows as a svchost.exe *32. When I stop that service the sound stops. It will start again when i access a flash site. When I uninstall Flash Player 11.3, this stops.
I'm running Windows 7 - 64 bit with latest updates. IE 9.0.8112.16421
Any help would be appreciated.

About the second post down, the poster recommends downloading TDS killer as winrscmde.exe is disquised as svchhost.exe in the \windows\system32 folder (you have to click on "Properties", then "Details" tab and check the original filename...if it's bogus, it'll say winrscmde.exe as the original name).
I also ran the aswMBR program as well as FixTDSS (http://www.symantec.com/content/en/us/global/removal_tool/threat_writeups/FixTDSS.exe).
That seemed to fix the issue. Just reinstalled Flash and don't get the same issues. The svchost.exe in the \windows\system32 folder is legit!
Hope that helps anyone else with the same problem.

I can't get any sound from ITunes. The computer's internal speakers are fine (they play utube sound, for example). And the sound bar on itunes is all the way to the right. Still no sound from the music library. Any insights?

I can't get any sound from my ITunes library. The IMac is set to internal speakers, the volume bar on ITunes itself is all the way to the right, there seems to be no problem with the speakers themselves (they play sound from internet videos, for example), but I can't play music from the ITunes library on the IMac. Please help!

Is it possible that you have iTunes set to send audio through AirPlay to an AirPort Express, Apple TV, or other AirPlay device (which is itself not turned up so you can hear it)?
