Flash menu bar component

I am creating an application that requires the flash menu
bar. i am having some problems with the coding can you help?
i need the menu bar to goto certain frames when released.
can i have an example of actionscript for the component?

Installed latest sec update and have flashing menu bar - cannot login

I also just installed the latest security update running 10.3.9 with a original 1ghz 17" powerbook.
Trying to boot afterwards I end up with a flashing menu bar and no disk icon on the desktop - obviously I can't login (set to single user)
Trying to repair permissions with a CD boot results in an "internal error" with the disk utility. Disk repair reports no problems. The program then cannot continue, and I have to hold the power button to get it to shut down.
Any ideas???

Hey. I am having almost the exact same problem my menu bar is flashing and no HardDrive icon on the desktop!?

Flash menu bar's hyperlink doesn't work after imported into dreamweaver

I have major problems when I tried to import a flash menu bar with hyperlink (created in flash) into dreamweaver. I have 5 buttons in the same flash banner file and each button is supposed to have its unique hyperlink. None of these 5 hyperlinks is working, but it works fine if run by the .swf file alone. What could I have done wrong in flash or dreamweaver?

Flashing menu bar

We have an old beige Mac 630 in one of our classrooms with system 7.5.3. The menu bar keeps flashing all the time, and seems to be connected somehow to using the mouse.A white cursor sometimes appears to the right of the special menu in the menu bar.If you use the mouse to double-click or drag for example, during these operations the menu bar stops flashing and resumes when the mouse task is completed.
Any ideas folks?
PS. the machine needs a fresh battery

When the sound level is turned all the way down, the menu bar will flash instead of the speaker producing the System [error] Beep.
Older macs take up a lot of CPU power dragging with mouse button down. It generates a lot of interrupts and slows down the processor so that it can't keep up the flashing menu bar.

Menu Bar Component Positioning

Hello,
I'm looking for a way to position a Menu Bar swf (made from
the menubar component) at the top of the web page, so it does not
push the rest of the content down the page and end up with a bunch
of white space. I believe it would be done with a style sheet.
Anynone have any suggestions for such a style sheet?

Flash menu bar won't show up when i upload the site to the web

I've made a flash e bar using Adobe Flash Catalyst and exported it using "deploy to web". I placed the folder in my dreamweaver site and insert->media->swf and choose main.swf. The weird thing is that it works when i press f12. site: http://martin.venaas.org/ptf/character_vulturous.html

I don't see any Flash code in your link.
You do realize that Flash Menus are not web & user friendly, right? They are invisible to non-flash supporting devices like iPhones/iPads, language translators, screen readers and search engines. When people without Flash land on your page, what will they do?
The best advice I can offer is to ditch flash for navigation and use CSS styled text or the Spry Menus that come with DW.

Editing Flash Menu bar for Website - Have Tutorial & I'm Stuck :(

I'm a total newbie to Flash so, I start with sincere apologies. I have a tutorial that's supposed to step me through editing this menu bar but I'm so lost and can't seem to get my screens to match what they're doing in the tutorial.
I think I'd do much better if I could be directed to some directions on editing this that were written out or something instead of trying to watch what's being clicked on in this tutorial. It's crazy actually.
I don't see where I can upload either my file or the tutorial here in this post though.

Vertical Menu Bar Component

Hi,
I would need to deploy some kind of component as a menu bar but on vertical position. I have found a very interesting component on FlexLib library (see http://flexlib.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/examples/VerticalMenuBar/VerticalMenu_Sample.swf) developed by Doug Mc Cune (see at http://dougmccune.com/blog/2007/01/25/vertical-menubar-component/). Unfortunately the code does not run properly on Flex 3, and in spite of tracing the source code I'm not able to find but is wrong (I have attached it there if someone wants to take a glance of it).
Has someone been able to fix this issue or developing some kind of component that may be re-used?

OK just managed to resolve the ftp issue. Bit tricky as our

As you can see it works fine in FF but not in IE7. The child
sub menus keep appearing at the top of the vertical menu

Native menu bar OS X

Currently out AIR app has its own menu bar component, but I
would like to make the menu bar the native OS menu bar. Is there a
particular set of methods and components I need to use/that are
supported for this purpose? Right now the menu bar has "adl"
instead of the name of our application as the first menu item next
to the apple menu.

adl is the name of the menu because the adl utility is
running your AIR app. When you install and run, the menu will show
the name of your application.

ADF 11 g Menu Bar creation with labels coming from database.

I am new to Web Center and ADF 11g along with jdeveloper11g. I have a requirement where I need to create a Menu bar using ADF's menu bar component.The labels displayed in the menu bar would be coming from the database.Menu and sub menu would be a tree structure. Meaning a sub menu may again have a list of menu's.I tried searching the forum but could find examples which created menu bar using task flows so they did not helped me much.
Any tutorial link, code snippet or guidance would be deeply welcomed.

I am not sure how to implement this in a menu bar, but you can mimic the behaviour with an af:tree

            </af:tree>If you have a two level hierarchy master-detail you will get an initial expanded list the first level nodes that expand to show the second level.
If you want to initially show the master collapsed then you can add a dummy master to the master view object with one row only,
creating with this way a pseudo three level hierarchy.
To create the binding automatically just DnD from datasources the master as a tree and then add the detail level to the created binding
If you figured out a better way please tell!

Alignment of Flash menu in table problem/margins between images

Hi there, I have been building a website using Dreamweaver (i'm a complete newb to CSS & HTML, i'm a kiltmaker!). It uses a table based layout which will eventually link to a shopping cart. I'm just working on the html part, and I would like to include a Flash Menu Bar. When I add the SWF file, I would like it to align with the top of my product images, but unfortunately, ends up looking like this:

I would really like it if the top of my flash menu would align at the same height as the rest of the images e.g at the same height as 'dress sporran' etc so that design is flusher.
Any ideas on how I could fix this would be very much appreciated!
Also, I would like the spacing between the images to be not as big the table, so it looks a bit neater, is this easily done?

As far as getting the Flash menu to align to the top more, try adding a valign parameter to the table cell that contains it...

As far as the spacing between the images goes, I didn't really get what you might have been trying to indicate relative to being as big as the table. But what you might want to do is create that entire menu/product table into a two column table, where the first column holds the menu and the second column holds another table with your products. That will give you more freedom to control the size of the products table.
You might also get some suggestions to get away from the table approach for a bit of what you've done, so don't be surprised... the intentions and ideas are generally good.

Spry menu bar does not appear over flash elements in I.E. 8

I still can't find a solution. Changing the parameter wmode:transparent works for .swf files but .flv files do not have the option to add this parameter. If you add it in the script manually it doesn't do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cn't find any solution online.

Hard Drive icon won't open and menu bar flashes off and on

All of a sudden, in the middle of the day, my eMac went haywire. I can launch apps and docs are one the desktop. But I cannot open the Hard Drive icon. If I double-click on it (or used Command-O from keyboard), the icon won't open. And when I attempt to open it, the Finder Menu Bar begins flashing off and on (vanishing, reappearing, vanishing) across the top of the screen. I haver rebooted, run disk utility to repair permissions, even booted from TechTools to run its diagnostics. But still no access to the Hard Drive icon. I logged out and logged in as a TEST user, and same thing happens even when logged in that way. Literally, this happened in an instant. One minute the eMac was fine, then this started. Anyone else seen this? -- david

If the problem exists in both your regular account and your Test account odds are that it is at the system level. You can try a Safe boot (hold down the shift key at startup) to see if there is a third party startup item or one of the optional Apple functions that is causing the problem. You could also boot from the installer disk and use the Disk Utility->Repair Disk function. If you have a utility such as Tiger Cache Cleaner which will do a deep cache clean you can also try that.

Firefox is hanging after trying to update Adobe Flash. I can't fix it as long as Firefox is open, but I'm unable to close it-menu bar won't even appear.

In the process of updating Adobe Flash, Firefox froze. It registers as being open, and none of the fixes I've tried will work as long as it's open, but I can't close it. Even when I click on the Firefox icon, the Firefox menu bar doesn't appear. No Firefox window appears.

My Finder menu bar and screen is flashing. Is this a virus?

The icons (file folders, Hard Drive icon, etc) on my desktop and the Finder menu bar started flashing off and on, last night. I can use Mail, Safari, iPhoto, iTunes, etc. from the Dock, but it is a challenge to click on Airport on the menu bar to get on line. I shut the computer down, removed-then reinstalled the battery and restarted the computer, but the flashing began right away, again. I had exported some photos to desktop which landed atop the Hard Drive icon. I move them as quickly as I can, but the screen flashes and puts them back, so I can't access the Hard Drive. I had viewed a QT movie someone sent me earlier in the evening and also clicked on several photos in MySpace. I wonder if one of those could have done it.

Just starting up with the install disk won't erase anything.
Shut down the computer.
Restart the computer and at the same time insert disk1 into the slot while holding down the option key.
This should bring up a screen showing two different startup options.
Pick your disk that you inserted.
You will eventually get a screen with a window opened showing the Mac install file. Don't use this.
Up top on the menu bar should be a pull down menu that will give you an option of disk utilities.
Use the repair permissions function and disk repair function. These will not erase anything.
The reason I'm not clear on the position of the menus is that I'm at work on a peecee.
Try this and let us know..
