He also said that FMS allows content providers to encode and deliver encrypted content to Flash and Apple devices using HTTP. He said that broadcasters such as the BBC have been actively testing HTTP delivery to Flash for events such as Wimbledon.

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.

Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices, and they no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
A sample of Apps that can display some Flash content:

5. Swifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."

I was astounded, to say the least, that something as basic as playing a Utube video doesn't work on the iPad out of the box. I tried it on my iPad3 and it didn't even give me an error message. The iPad just didn't do anything.
Sure it does with a YouTube app included.
MS is coming out with what I'm hearing is a real winner in the Fall. I'll wait and see.

Photon Flash for iPad help

I downloaded Photon Flash for Ipad yesterday used it - no issues. Today it's wanting the latest version of flash, which I cannot download directly from Ipad and there doesn't seem to be any updates... what do I do?

Some app developers make separate apps for the iPhone and iPad. That's a developer issue. Contact the developer if you are unhappy.

Is there any way (yet) anyone knows of to play Flash content on the iPad or iPhone? Are there any sites that do any kind of on-the-fly conversion? I don't quite understand the fued or whatever between Steve Jobs/Apple and Adobe, nor do I really care. I would just like to know if there is a work-around. I run a website that is all about the yet-to-be released iPad2 and several other Apple Product specific websites. I would really like to give our readers some information on this that would be helpful. Artists, Musicians, and lots of other creative types use Apple products more in general. And Flash movies AND Flash Websites are the best choice for many artists, especially Flash Websites for the ability to display content, without the ability to copy or save it. So, since so many artists visit other artists websites, this is kind of crazy! I know I cant stand it when I try and look at a site, or movie, and I see the message.....
There has to be some viable option(s)!

Moving to Using Flash Player, as this is unrelated to the Beta.
As an alternative, there are browsers that provide "Flash in the Cloud" solutions that seem to work pretty well.

Java is a giant security hole and is being shunned.
Almost all security experts warn not to install it or allow it to run.
Adobe has dropped mobile flash for any mobile device.
It is not being developed anymore and has been dropped from Android going forward.
Most savvy developers have caught on to this and adjusted.
Those stuck in the past have not.
