Flash player over https / mapped port

We are running a web app. This is to show a chart (flash
chart)
The app runs fine when using "ordinary" port 80.
The chart does not show when using port 4443 (this is a
mapped https port)
Since nothing else seems to be different, it ought to be a
https or port-mapping problem. The problem, to my feeling, also
ought to be quite straigforward (at least the fix)... Can anybody
enlighten me about what is happeling.
Is have already put in the debugger flashplayer, but
"debugger" remains grayed out, when the error appears, so no luck
there!!

Hi,
did you generate the html file and upload that also? I was
having trouble viewing the swf via html page (I was getting a blank
page) on a webserver and checked the Captivate forums. I found out
that I also needed to copy over the 'standard.js' file that gets
created in the publishing process too. Hope this helps

  • Having to reinstall Adobe Flash Player over and over and over....,

I've ignored this problem for a while now and I really want to get this over with. It's really starting to piss me off.
So I have to download adobe flash player over and over because Steam tells me "You will need to Install the latest Flash plugin to view this page properly" (I'd like flash player to work so I could watch trailers from the Steam window instead of searching up trailers on my browser.) So I do and maybe in about a few days I have to reinstall another flash player. But what's weird is when Steam's flash player doesn't work I can watch Youtube videos just find on Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Try uninstalling it this way first.

  • How to access Flash Apps over https with a self signed certificate?

I have a Flex app that needs to access data from a SOAP web service over https with a self signed certificate. The app needs to ignore the https warnings, just as a browser would warn & allow the user to proceed. Buying a valid signed certificate is not an option for us.
    It works fine over http.
    How can I achieve this?
I read that URLRequest has a property: authenticate, that I can set to false. However, this property is available only for Adobe AIR applications from what I can see. This doesn't seem available for Flex apps.
I have tried this in both Flex 3 & the latest Flash Builder 4. Have the same issue in both cases.
    Help appreciated.
    Thanks

You'd really need to ask in the Flex or Flash Builder forums as this is a front end code modification and Flash Player can't do any of that.

  • AS2 over HTTP Send port question.

I have an application that builds and  sends flat and EDI files to FTP, FILE, SqlAdapter send ports and now they want AS2 over an HTTP port, I understand the AS2 settings (using party resolution, etc.) what I don't get is how/what exactly is receiving
the message on the other side... They don't have a web service nor a page, I created a site to test but what do I do? Send an edi file to a url????
    Bico Bielich

From your question I understand, you have been asked to send message through AS2. Do they also going to receive message through AS2 from their party? Is your question is about how to receive the message through AS2 which you also want to send over AS2?
    You can configure
BTSHTTPReceive.dll to receive messages over HTTP and configure the Receive location with AS2 EDI pipeline component to receive messages over AS2 into BizTalk which can be subscribed by your send port filter or Orchestration ( if you have any process
to be applied before sending the message over AS2 send).
Check the Tutorial-3 part of AS2 which illustrate an example which receives an AS2 message through BTSHTTPReceive.dll.

And following references shall help you configure the BTSHTTPReceive.dll:

  • Anyone else having trouble with flash player over working the processor since the security update?

    Hi everyone-
Since the last security update (flash player version 11.7.700.169) I have been having trouble with flash player beating the daylights out of my processor. My OS is Windows XP. This only happens on some sites, not all. For example netflix and amazon are fine, but acorn and huffington post videos send the processor into overdrive. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance :-)

I have XP on some machines, and I do not experience any such problems with 11.7.700.179.  If I were, I would try two things
update the graphics drivers; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765
update to the latest Flash Player beta, or wait until the new version is released later this week

  • Implement Flash Player for HTTP Streaming

Is there any sample code for this?  I have a Java background but haven't done much ActionScripting.  I want to play back an HTTP Dynamic Stream (f4m) that has been packaged with Flash Access.  Also want to set a custom Authorization Token.  I'm using CS5 for my development environment.  Any help would be much appreciated.
    /OG

    Hi Eric,
    Yes,
we've been using the OSMF player to play back the streams - I need to
add a custom authentication token to the license request.  I understand
that I need to call DRMManager.setAuthenticationToken on
the flash player.  I did go through several of the OSMF Sample
tutorials, but is not clear how and where to make this call. Looking for a starting point - is there an OSMF player that I can quickly modify for our POC?
    thanks,

  • Update Flash Player over an Intranet for restricted users

We need to update all flash players in the company to version
9 to get Flex build apps working.
We tried the Flash Player Detection Kit and Flash Player
    auto-update without succes!
Problem is we have a few 1.000 employees without Interent
access and without install rights on their desktop/notebook. So we
need to do a 'quiet' installation/update from within our company
    Intranet. Is this possible?
Ps.: MSM is not an option (for the moment).

One more note: this seems to be random. I tested it again and
this time the download link shows up....tested it another hour
later...and it didn't. There most be some if/else case that is not
outputing the download link...I'm not sure what the condition could
    be.

  • Possible to exposer Tabular model over HTTPS on port 443?

I know how to Access OLAP Cube with Excel over 443 port.
Is it possible to Access Tabular mode over port 80 or 443 with Excel?
    Kenny_I

    Hi Kenny_I,
To access SQL Server Analysis Service tabular model remotely, we need configure the Windows Firewall for Allow Analysis Access. Generally, we open TCP port 2383 or 2382 for remote access.
Open TCP port 2383 when installing a default instance or creating an Analysis Services failover cluster.
Open TCP port 2382 when installing a named instance.
Please refer to the link below to see the detail information.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms174937.aspx
After we configure the Windows Firewall for Allow Analysis Access, we can connect to SSAS tabular database in EXCEL. In your scenario, you want to access it using port 80 or 443, there is no such a scenario base on my research. So why do you want to access
tabular mode in excel using port 80 or 443?

  • I have Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in won't allow me to watch YouTube videos

Up until last week I had IE9 and was able to download and watch YouTube videos with my son and play Facebook games.  Then one evening I tried to pull up a Yo Gabba Gabba video on YouTube and the video window was blank.  I had watched this video the night before with him, and the only thing I can think of is there was a Flash Player update that tried to download.  I saw several posts that suggested downloading a new broswer, but I waited for 3 nights thinking it was just a glitch.  I finally gave up and sent a pm to one of my friends who is a Internet Service Technician.  She told me to download Mozilla Firefox, which I did, and the problem seemed to be solved.  I was once again able to download and watch YouTube videos, as well as play games on Facebook.  And it seemed my pages, pictures, etc. all downloaded 10x faster.  That worked until the next evening and suddenly I once again could not download and watch YouTube videos.
I checked my system and it found that Adobe had done an automatic update so that instead of just having Adobe Flash Player 13 Active X I now had Adobe Flash Player 13 plug-in.  I also noticed that Adobe Air was downloaded on my computer.  I went in and uninstalled the Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in and I was once again able to download and watch YouTube videos.  But when I tried to play games on Facebook I was told I would need to install at least Adobe Flash Player 10.0.2.  I went to find that or an older version but each time I tried to download from Adobe I would get the Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in version, and once again I was unable to download and watch YouTube videos.  I was, however, able to play the games on Facebook again.
Remember when I just had Adobe Flash Player 13 Active X I was able to do both while having Mozilla Firefox.  I have looked all over the internet and I cannot find recent articles that talk about this problem.  Can someone please tell me what I can do so that I can keep Mozilla Firefox, as it is 10X faster than IE9 and with Firefox my Facebook doesn't crash all of the time?  But I also want to have the ability to download and watch YouTube videos with my son, as well as the play games on Facebook.
I should also note each time I went to uninstall Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in I received an error message saying there was a conflict with Mozilla Firefox and I first had to shut it down before the uninstall would proceed.  Also, I received a reply on Adobe's Facebook page from a Tech who had me check to see if I had the latest version of Flash Player.  I did have the most recent version.  He then asked me to go to my add-ons and enable Shockwave.  I followed the instructions and it was already enabled (or it said always activate).  Neither of those helped me be able to download and watch YouTube videos.  But I can still play Facebook games.

  • I've had a problem installing Adobe Flash Player; also with Firefox. Tried to download a new FF; it goes crazy! keeps repeating an opening page! Now I don't have FF installed, or Flashplayer, and I think these problems are connected. Help!

Mac OSX 10.5.8 system. Problems have been ongoing with the Firefox I had installed a while ago: would open browser in Safari, and FF would take over; keep asking me to personalize my browser program. In truth, Firefox was kind of "taking over", and I wasn't happy with it. Usually open the internet in Safari.
Present problems started with trying to download, install and open a few new games. Kept telling me I needed to install Adobe Flashplayer. I could download it, but it wouldn't install. Downloaded both the Flashplayer installer AND the Flashplayer uninstaller a number of times. Today, I decided to get rid of the Firefox on my hard drive and download a newer version - then try again to download Flashplayer and install. The new FF download just kept opening a new browser page.

  • 9/3/2013 - Flash Player 11.9.900.85 Beta

    Flash Player Beta Channel Update
The latest Flash Player 11.9 builds are now available.  You can download Flash Player here: http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplayerbeta.
    New Features:
Safe Mode in Safari 6.1 and higher
Safari 6.1 includes an updated version of Safari with Safe Mode, which implements new security restrictions on the operation of browser plug-ins.  To the extent possible, we've adapted Flash Player to transparently handle these changes.  A small number of behaviors will change in the context of Safe Mode and are explained in the Known Issues section below.
64-Bit PPAPI Flash Player for Chrome
(Currently available in the Chrome Canary channel)
    Mac .pkg Installation Support
Deploying Flash Player and keeping it up to date in enterprise environments is a critical task for system administrators worldwide. We’re introducing a new .pkg installer format for our distribution partners to reduce their workload.  Administrators can now deploy Flash Player for Mac using industry-standard management tools.
    Testing Guidance:
This release focuses on enhanced premium video capabilities and new platform support.  We're looking for feedback on stability and compatibility with existing content on these new platforms.
MacOS users should be testing with the lastest Mavericks Developer Preview (currently 3).  Feedback on content with complex scenarios involving localConnection, ExternalInterface/External API, and FileReference will be especially helpful.
    Known Issues:
The following behaviors will be modified in Safari 6.1 and higher in Safe Mode:
AIR Badge Installs - AIR Badge Installer will not launch an installer when running Safari 7 in Safe Mode.  Users will instead see a dialog with a link to more details and workarounds on an Adobe website.
Adobe Connect Plug-In Install - The Connect Plug-In Express Install will no longer work on Safari 7 in Safe Mode.  Users will instead see a dialog with a link to more details on an Adobe website.
Flash Player Global Settings - When a users launches the Global Settings menu from the Flash Player context menu on Safari 7 in Safe Mode, the user will be taken to the classic SWF-based preferences menu on an Adobe website, instead of the native Flash Player settings UI in the MacOS Control Panel.
LocalConnection - When a LocalConnection is constructed from a SWF hosted in Safe Mode, it may only establish a connection with other SWFs also hosted in Safe Mode.  If a LocalConnection is constructed from a tab with Safe Mode disabled, it will not be able to communicate with a SWF in a Safe Mode tab.
Developers can detect whether or not a SWF is running in Safe Mode by checking the Boolean ProductManager.isAllowed().  (This is currently unofficial, and it's possible that we may alter it during the API review process.)
    Notable Fixes and Enhancements:
The ExternalInterface.call() issue introduced in 11.8.800.95 has been fixed.  The fix will also be included in the next 11.8 maintenance release. [3622360]
HTTP Live Streaming - WebVTT - An issue where captions would be delayed after returning from an ad have been resolved  [3613440]
HTTP Live Streaming - WebVTT - Corrects an issue where the caption would wrap around the video display when the specific font was too large [3615084]
HTTP Live Streaming - WebVTT - Corrects an issue where large, non-default fonts would sometimes overlap [3585544]
[Mac] StageText - Corrects an issue where when zooming multiple times on a Mac equipped with Retina display, text would not scale correctly when maximizing the window. [3616952]
StageVideo - Corrects an issue where a few visible black frames could be seen during the transition between two MP4 video streams. [3612492]
[Flash Pro] Corrects an issue where Live Preview would hang when zooming very far (>200%) into content with filters applied  [3596293]

  • [ADOBE]  Resolving Windows Flash Player permission-related issues 9/2007

Printable, formatted versions of these steps, valid as of
9/15/2007 are available. I recommend printing them and following
    along with the print version:
    .doc:
    http://www.supportflash.com/bent/flash_player_ocx_troubleshooting.doc
    .pdf:
    http://www.supportflash.com/bent/flash_player_ocx_troubleshooting.pdf
The issue is this: You have multiple accounts on your XP
machine. One account plays Flash no problem, the other doesn't,
although both are Administrator accounts. Or possibly you have only
one account, and that account fails to play any Flash content. In
any case if you have ANY odd trouble with the Flash Player ActiveX
control for Windows as of September 2007, these should be your
steps. And yes, you need to do both sets of steps, in order!
The cause: This is usually caused by either or BOTH of the
    following problems:
    1. Leftover locked bits of an old Flash Player installation
    2. Registry permission errors (aka 'ACL's)
OK so what do you do about this?
ONE: Identify possibly leftover Flash player bits
    a. Open C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder.
    b. Download the latest FP uninstaller from
    http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157.
    c. Run the uninstaller. If you get a notice saying you need
    to reboot, then reboot.
    d. Look at C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder.
    e. Does any file ending in .ocx remain? (flash.ocx,
    flasha.ocs, flash9d.ocx etc...)
e1. If no, then you don't usually have any leftover locked
    bits.
You're done with this part of the problem, proceed to TWO.
e2. If yes, then that remaining .ocx file may be locked.
    Right click it
and select properties and look at the version tab.
    What is the version number?
    f. Is the version number Flash Player 9.0.16.0 or earlier?
f1. Use the uninstaller instructions from this technote:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/4da116d3
-- section "Flash Player 9.0.16.0 and earlier"
-- DO NOT re-register the uninstaller. ONLY do this
    UninstFl.exe part.
Yes, you'll need to know how to use the command line to do
    this. If you're not
comfortable with that then take your machine to someone who
    is!
    g. Is the version number Flash Player 9.0.28.0 or higher?
g1. Use the uninstaller instructions from this technote:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/4da116d3
-- section "Flash Player 9 (9.0.28.0) and later"
-- DO NOT re-register the uninstaller. ONLY do this
    UninstFl.exe part.
In both the D and E sections above you'll need to use the
specific name of the control that remains
in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash. So if you had a
    stuck flash9b.ocx[DJM1] in the folder
and version was 9.0.28.0, your uninstall command would look
    like this:
    UninstFl.exe -u
    c:\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash9b.ocx
That said, if you have trouble running these commands it
really is necessary to find someone who knows how
to use the command line, either a friend or a local
professional. Or spend some time learning about the
    command line yourself.
    h. RERUN the uninstaller you downloaded earlier. This should
get rid of the remaining (now unlocked) .ocx file and fix any
    registry keys associated with it.
ALL of section "ONE: Identify possibly leftover Flash player
bits" is important. BUT this locked bit problem only happens on
maybe one out of 50 machines. So most people with installation
problems such as this are not going to have locked bits.
AND even after reinstalling you may still have continued
problems with Flash Player not being recognized.
Then we have to move on to section two..
    TWO: Registry Permission Problems
We have been working on Flash Player failures caused by
Windows System Registry issues. We have not been able to determine
what’s causing these permissions to change. But that change
prevents the successful installation of Flash Player ActiveX
    control (used by IE Windows).
Registry permission problems can be resolved using a tool
called SubInACL, built by Microsoft to correct system registry
    issues.
    Symptoms: What to look for:
    1. If you install Flash Player on IE and are unable to see
    Flash content on any webpage
    2. After installation C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
will have flash 9c.ocx in it but it failed to register
    3. It appears that Flash Player installed correctly, but
    unable to view Flash content
    4. Flash Player works on other browsers, but NOT Internet
    Explorer
    5. If you are missing groups in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT Advanced
    Permissions
    6. If you have run registry cleaners in the past, this may
    have corrupted your system
Warning: The following solution involves the Windows System
Registry. Editing or manipulating the registry incorrectly can
result in serious system damage which may require re-installation
of the operating system. If you are not comfortable editing the
registry, then take your system to a professional. If you choose to
proceed, then it is essential that you create a complete system
backup and a Windows System Restore Point before proceeding. Adobe
Systems cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from this
    information.
    1. Select Start > Run
    2. Type in “regedit”
    3. Right click on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
    4. Select Permissions
    5. Select Advanced
    For Vista
Compare your permissions with the ones in this screenshot.
    http://www.supportflash.com/vista_key.png
For Window XP Pro or other flavors of XP
Compare your permissions with the ones in this document
“Troubleshooting system registry issues that prevent Flash
Player installation” (scroll down to the bottom of page).
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=kb400116
Notice any major differences, missing groups, incorrect
    permissions?
How can you repair the System Registry, what's the fix
Download SubInACL from Microsoft to fix permission issues
that prevent the Flash Player Installation.
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=fb1634cb
NOTE: The Microsoft version of the .cmd script run by
SubInACL is not be run on any XP version other than Pro. HOWEVER,
the Adobe .cmd script in the above technote is tested safe for ALL
    VERSIONS OF XP!!!
If you have a Windows System Registry permission issue that
sounds like the one described above, SubINACL may be the solution.
Please note that if you have this issue on multiple accounts on one
machine you’ll need to fix each account individually.

    Hi Bentley
I've been having trouble with this for months and Asia
Pacific support has been no help at all, now they are telling me
that it it's a problem with my computer and they can't help me.
I tried the first step above and it does seem that I have a
locked component left over I think it is falsh9e.ocx. The version
is 9.0.115.0 is the trouble is I can't complete the fix. Can you
send me some detailed instructions to complete the step.
This has been very frustrating and your assistance would be

  • My computer has been crashing when i am using firefox. I was watchung a new video first, then when i was trying to update my flash player like support suggested

It started the first time when I had Firefox. I would be watch an online video and the picture would stop and the sound would become a buzz or a slow buzz and the sound trying to play. It became more and more. I chanced to chrome for a while. I wanted to try out fox again but it started all over again. It also happen when it looked up possible fixes and tried to update my flash player like suggested. It got to the point where it was downloading and the computer crashed. the only thing I can do every time is do a hard boot and start my computer all over again.
I don't think I ever had to do that with chrome. Help me, I really do like Firefox a lot but I am going to have to go back to chrome. Also, another thing that is happening is my firewall program is popping up more with a TCP warning.

  • 4/30/2014 - Beta - Flash Player 14.0.0.90

The latest Flash Player 14 builds are now available.  You can download Flash Player here: http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplayerbeta.
New Features for Flash Player 14:
    Anisotropic Filtering
This new texture sampling filter can enhance the image quality of textures on surfaces that are at oblique viewing angles. There are two ways to enable this feature:
In AGAL, set one of the values – "anisotropic2x", "anisotropic4x", "anisotropic8x", or "anisotropic16x" to the filter option in the sampling instructions. Or call Context3D::setSamplerStateAt with the 3rd parameter "filter" being one of the values defined in Context3DTextureFilter - "ANISOTROPIC2X", "ANISOTROPIC4X", "ANISOTROPIC8X", or "ANISOTROPIC16X"
    New Stage3D "Standard" Profile
Developers can now request this high level profile when creating Context3D. Three new features are available in this profile:
Multiple render target allows to you to draw geometry to multiple outputs (up to 4) during one drawing
Floating point texture allows you to create Texture, RectangleTexture and CubeTuxture with the RGBA16F folder.
    AGAL v2 contains these improvements:
    Increased register size
    Partial derivative instructions
    Fragment depth output
    Conditional forward jump
    Notable Fixes and Enhancements:
3739504 [External][Injection] Compiler change causes Flash Player to crash on load
    Multiple stability fixes

  • High CPU Usage with Flash Player 11

I am not sure what the problem is but ever since I had those issues I went back to flash archive and installed a previous version that did not come with the flash plug in and I never had any problem with it since I am currently using the Adobe flash version 10 plug in with an adobe flash player active X. and I find out it was the new flash plug in that is the issue it suck all your ram. If you get some people who is having the same issues where flash player is duplicating and eating all their ram then ask them to try the version 10 plug in with the flash 11 active x it will work fine. I tried to run the version 10 flash as a complete set but some dynamic site that plays videos require a later version of flash active x to work and will be asking for an update however by keeping the flash 10 plug in there won't be any other issues. Adobe need to find out what is wrong with the new flash plug in and run a comparison with the flash 10 plug in. I hope this will help some user to get over the issues that made my online experience a nightmare for a while too.

The best way to get a resolution is to address your individual issue.  Your complaint is that RAM usage is high, which is unrelated to the thread from the guy on Mac that was seeing High CPU usage on high definition video.
In order to fix the issue that you're describing, we need to be able to reproduce it.  Please provide the information below, and the results of the basic troubleshooting steps as you work through them.  This will help us narrow down the root-cause, and allow us to find comparable hardware in our compatibility lab to reproduce the issue with.
    Basic Troubleshooting Info
To help troubleshoot we'll need the following system information:
    - Operating system
    - Browser
    - Flash Player version - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html
    - Antivirus/Anti-Malware software and versions
The first step is to work through the video troubleshooting guide for your operating system, here:
    - Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html
    - Mac - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.htm
When reporting issues with video or audio, it's also helpful to get your system hardware and driver details.  Instructions for finding this information can be found here:
    - Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_For_Windows_users
    - Mac - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_For_Mac_OS_users
Finally, sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player.  I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform.  If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit as the HTML5 video link does not use Flash Player when playing.  You can verify this by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the menu.
    - HTML5 video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTl3U6aSd2w&html5=True
    - Non-HTML5 video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTl3U6aSd2we
    Thanks!
