Flash Player wants to be updated all the time

I am running FireFox 3.6.9, and have upgdated Flashplayer to 10.1 r53 (the latest) I keep getting notified when checking my plugin updates that Flash wants to be updated and is vulnerable with more info message of
This Plugin version has a security vulnerability etc.
Is this just a glitch or should I just give up with flash player, it seems to work fine but if it has a security problem I will just give it a miss as I have had enough security problems with other programs and do not need any with this.
Can anyone advise what I should do with this?

Hi lasaboy Glad you received a reply from Firefox. I had not heard they were updating with the previous version of Flash Player. The previous versions of Flash Player must always be Uninstalled however. I'll check that info out.

About 2 weeks ago I installed a flash player security update and ever since then flash player doesn't work most of the time. On most websites with embeded video all I see is an empty placeholder where the video is supposed to be.
If I go to a site like Youtube all is fine. However, if I go to a site that has embeded a Youtube video all I see is the empty placeholder where the video is supposed to be.
Some folks have recommended I uninstall and download and reinstall. The problem with this is that there isn't *anything* related to Abobe flash player in Add/Remove programs.
Not sure what to do about this (read: I'm totally lost!).

The standard warranty is for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless you bough AppleCare which would have extended it to 2 years.
If it's out of warranty, then you pay for repairs, and it's expensive. There are 3rd party repairers who are cheaper.

As the previous poster said, it's more than likely a hardware issue, but there's no harm in trying the software fixes before you decide it needs repair.

Deleting apps on your phone does not remove them from your account. They can be re-downloaded for free from the App Store, or synced from your computer as needed.
The easiest way to manage apps is to connect to iTunes on your computer, go to the Apps page of your device in iTunes, select which apps to remove, then sync.

I have a theory. You don’t want to controll your car, you want to controll somebody who is driving the car. Volvo XC 60 is a nice family car, usually used by married men between age of 35-45, probably with small children, so it’s very unlikely that you want to controll your teanage kid, mainly because probably even if you would give him/her to drive the car in the neighborhoud, I don’t think that he/she would be „several hundred miles away”… If your child is not young teneage anymore, and he/she has his/her own life, but you want to control him/her, that is sick… So I am convinced that you want to controll your husband who probably travelling often! Am I wright?

Spotify premium updates all the time

So this has been going since the last major update. I get that blue bar at the top that says restart to update all the time. i must have restarted it dozens of time and still minutes after the restart there it is again. it is really annoying and definetely abug since i dont think that they issue a new update every five minutes or so.

I'm sorry. I wish that I could help you with this. But if you are getting a message that the card is now being declined, there must be some reason for it.
Are you sure that the card hasn't expired? Have you contacted the credit card company or bank to see if there is some problem with your account?
I would start with the credit card company and make sure that there is no problem with the card. If you are certain that the card is still good, you will have to contact iTunes support in order to get it sorted out.

Time capsule makes me redo a full update all the time

i have the last macbook they made..like the late 2011 model i think they call it and when i upgraded to Yosemite, it will say a lot that the back up failed and i have to erase the time capsule disk and do a full back up from start. do you think there is something wrong with the hdd in the tc? is there a way to do a hardware test on it. i can't find anything online about this. thanks for looking

If you have seen that message more than 2-3 times, it is highly likely that the hard drive is physically damaged.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to test it, and if it is damaged....which is highly likely....no way to repair it.
You would have to pull the drive from the Time Capsule, place it in a special USB to SATA converter, and run Disk Utility to take a look at the drive. A lot of work....and probably not worth the time and effort.
Best bet is to replace the Time Capsule or buy another hard drive and connect it directly to your Mac.

I am having a terrible problem trying to get a player to loop and play all the time. Please help

I keep getting told that there is a settings update and I keep accepting it. It doesn't seem to do anything and I get the same message time after time.
How do I stop it?

Try connecting your iPhone to your computer and opening iTunes, maybe there is a carrier settings update available.

ICal trying to update all the time at start up

I am using a iMac with Mountain Lion software. When ical starts up under login items it also says it is trying to update the software (the old way with a bar) but it never does anything so I just cancel the command. Does anyone have a solution or answer to this problem. Thanks Dennis

Just to advise everyone, after a lot of discussion with other Mac users, I removed ical from startup items and it worked fine as a normal opening of the app. I them re-entered ical into my startup items and rs-started and it now works fine.

InDesign CS2 wants to be installed all the time and won't start

I have had Adobe CS2 loaded on my computer for about 3 years. I've never had any problem. However, yesterday when I tried to work on an Indesign project I got the message "Personalize Your Software" "Enter the following information to continue installation. Fields marked with an asterisk are required." I put in the serial number and I got a message that says the serial number is invalid. (Its not, I've had Adobe check that it is correct.)
Because I couldn't get Indesign to run I tried the other programs in the Suite. Illustrator gets as far as the splash screen and then the ball/watch just spins. Photoshop seems to be working correctly.
I have reinstalled both Illustrator and InDesign and the problem persists. I am running Mac OS 10.4.11.
The only thing that changed between the last time I used InDesign and yesterday was that I ran the Adobe Updater.

Why do have to disable Yahoo automatic updates all the time?

I used to be able to open Firefox, and then open my Yahoo mail account without having to go through the additional step of disabling automatic updates. How can I permanently disable automatic updates, so I don't have to do it every time?

If you are using home sharing then yes. Only photos used for the screensaver are temporarily cached, nothing else is stored. There is no need to restore the unit in order to view photos from your computer's library.
