Flash site done - i got a problem

I have my flash site done... but now when i click on the contact page it will go the home page? I have looking, and looking but I can't find the problem. Any clue where I should look first?
If you want to have a look, here is my link: http://www.idmiami.com/maria/ForSmiles.html
Thank you.

It would appear as though you either do not have a stop() for your contact us section, or there is some code causing it not ignore a stop().  You'll need to explain how the design is done and what controls you have implemented for navigation.

  • How to get an email online when showing offline for sending. Solutions on site don't solve the problem.

    How do you get an email account online when it is showing offline for sending. All settings are correct, previous solutions on the site don't help. One account works find the other one receives but doesn't send. No issues with ISP was found. This may have been happening since OS travel. Took a while to realise it was using the other account for sending.

    I just solve the problem. While OS we brought an internet USB and connected to a phone, one or both of these must have caused the problem. When both of the downloads associated with them were deleted the email issue was resolved. regards

  • How is Flash Sites done - Pages as Frames?

    i am wondering how are flash web sites done? having frames to act as pages? is that the best way?

    Ouch, a full Flash website with only code and dynamicaly builded is quite a complex matter.
    There is for sure a tutorial out there... for this, and another one for that, and so on. What I'm saying is that, it is a matter of many different bits of "areas of knowledge".
    When someone dwelves for the first time into making a professional full Flash website, he discovers many kinds of new difficulty regarding what first seems to be small details.
    However, most flashers, (I guess...), eventualy starts to dwelve that way one day or another, because some tricks can only be done with code...
    And yes, you can dynamicaly build a form in Flash. Usualy, for my part, I will design it in Flash, on the scene, and then make the code according to the layout. For sending the data to PHP or MySQL, that should be done with code anyway. But you are right, forms are complex because of the many different kinds of fields and menus and buttons (depending of the form).
    Many will use some parts of the website as predone MovieClips (like forms), inside a full coded website. There is not a one-way-only to make a full flash.
    Google for those bits you want (like forms), and you will find many a tutorial.

  • How is this Flash Site done?

    I'm trying to make a site like www.georgespencer.com
    Any ideas how its done?

    well mayb..bt i'm having difficulty figuring out two
    functionalities here..
    1. when you click on any thumbnail..it zooms and navigation
    buttons appear at the sides..if you move to any other clip and then
    click on the "ZOOM OUT" button the movie zooms out at the clip
    where it had stopped. How do i detect which thumbnail was on the
    screen when the zoom out btn was clicked?
    2. when u reach a the end of any row or column u have an
    option to move the 1st clip of the next row e.g.
    if you reach at the end of the 1st row..the right arrow btn
    changes to another button which then slides down the Movie to the
    1st clip of the 2nd row.. how is dis done?

  • Some flash files don't appear on macintosh

    I've installed the latest flash player on a macintosh 10.4.11. But I've noticed that a few flash sites don't appear. Among them the flash player page itself:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
    As you can see, where the flash movie should play there's just white space. Both on Safari and Firefox for Mac.
    I've also tried in on another mac so it's not just my computer.
    I've checked the version on: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about and that flash movie runs fine. It also says: 'You have version 10,0,32,18 installed'
    At home on a pc these pages (like http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer) work fine. What kind of thing could make the swf disappear on a mac?

    That one works fine on both macs to. It's not just my mac giving trouble. Tested in on another mac too to make sure it's not my computer. The other one has only the basic operating system (os 10.4.11) and the latest flash player and other default stuff. So no fancy additions like on mine. But the same result there:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/  - white space
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about    - no problem
    Another site which gives white space is www.morethanline.nl. I can see the preloader, but after that the screen turns white exept for the red ribbon on the top left which says 'vacatures' . Clicking on that doesn't do anything, which I expect is because it changes the main movie in the center. Which is white so even though it would change to the 'vacatures' page, I wouldn't see it.
    Is it perhaps the way the swf loads external swf's? Some way that isn't compatible on a mac and works fine on a pc? I don't know how the products/flashplayer swf loads the external movie. Do you happen to know how it is loaded? I can see the play/pauze buttons as you can see from my screendump. Just not the loaded video. Perhaps there's some specific way it is loaded which doesn't work on a mac and gives white space instead?

  • Scalabale flash Sites

    Hello all.
    I would like to know how are scalabale flash sites done in
    flash like
    THIS ONE. I
    tried to change html <object> tag's parameters regarding the
    width and height but the results were not what i expected. Besides,
    there has to be some ActionScript to set the position of visual
    elements on the stage dynamically as I saw in some examples.
    Thank you!

    swf width and height to 100%. set your stage scaling to
    noscale. add a stage listener for onresize.

  • Problem with Flash Sites...

    I've installed Flash CS3 and when I go to sites that have
    Flash activated, they report to me that Flash 8 is not installed. I
    follow the link to adobe and reinstall Flash player (have done this
    several times). Flash installs and the movie runs just fine. But
    then when I go to the site in question, the whole thing happens
    again.
    I thought it might have been the QuickTime Flash track
    settings, but just tried that to no avail. I'm thinking it might be
    related to the application mappings for flash files trying to run
    Flash CS3 instead of the player, but that's just a guess.
    Anyone see this? I tried a couple of google searches and
    nothing of value.

    Nope, I understood completely, as indicated in my response. I
    was GUESSING the problem was CS3, you answered that. but I HAVE
    repeatedly, as stated, installed the FLASH PLAYER... the flash
    movie on the Adobe website plays fine after playing. Hurray! But
    EVERY OTHER FLASH SITE I VISIT does not work, including the Adobe
    site if I leave and return.
    ESPN.com is one. Walmart.com is another. ESPN says install
    Flash 8. Walmart says install the latest. They both link to the
    current version 9 on adobe's site. I install, all installs ok,
    return to the sites and nothing.
    This was all working just a few weeks ago.

  • Having problems with mailscript for my flash site :(

    I posted this on another part of this form but thought it may
    be more applicable to this portion of the site so I thank you once
    again in advance for your help!
    I want to say hello to all and thanks for letting me a part
    of this great forum. I am having some problems with my flash site
    (www.alliancedirect.net) and I am using Adobe Flash CS4 now with my
    site with ActionScript 1.0.
    I have a form already made on the site (under contact us) but
    whatever I do....I can't make it work! I use GoDaddy and their
    gdform.psp is what they provide but they don't give the code in
    flash. I downloaded some different flash mail scripts and programs
    but I don't know how to incorporate it within my own site and I
    don't know what to do! I just want the information to be submitted
    to me via email and the other forms I will make away from the flash
    portion if it is too complicated.
    Please let me know what specific information you may need
    from me and how you can hopefully help me as soon as possible as I
    need this website completely up and running. Again, I appreciatre
    the help and look forward to being a part of your community!

    I found this here:
    http://www.actionscript.org/resources/articles/82/3/Send-Email-via-Flash-and-PHP/Page3.htm l
    THE CODE
    stop ();
    function lineAdapt () {
    message_send = message;
    while (msg_count<length(message)) {
    msg_count = msg_count+1;
    if ((substring(message_send, msg_count, 2)) eq "
    message_send = (substring(message_send, 1, msg_count-2))
    +"
    "+(substring(message_send, msg_count+2,
    (length(message_send))-msg_count+2));
    message = message_send;
    delete msg_count;
    delete message_send;
    WHAT THE ABOVE MEANS
    Line 1 - Stops the play head.
    Line 2 - Defines a custom function lineAdapt which will
    convert the flash carriage return marker ( " ") to the PHP
    equivalent (" "). This ensures that if the user types a comment
    with paragraph breaks, these breaks will be reflected in the email,
    rather than it being one very long line of text :o)
    Line 3 - Sets variable message_send to the value of message.
    This is a storage variable: we will adapt message_send rather than
    message because message is being displayed in a text box on screen
    and adapting it may cause strange visual output.
    Line 4 - Begins a loop which will continue until the newly
    created variable msg_count is greater than or equal to the length
    of the string contained in message.
    Line 5 - Increments msg_count by 1.
    Line 6 - Conditional statement which checks if the 2
    characters within the string message_send starting at letter number
    msg_count are equal to the string " ". If you type data into a text
    box in Flash and enter carriage returns, you wills see that the
    variable which stores that text fields value is adapted with a " "
    inserted where each carriage return should be, so we are looking
    for these markers using Line 6.
    Line 7 - If Line 6 returns True, replace the " " we just
    found with " " (which is the PHP equivalent of " "). This code
    looks complicated but it isn't really. Al it does it 'copies' the
    characters before and after the " ", the pastes those before,
    enters " " and pastes those after. The result is the equivalent
    string with " " instead of " ".
    Line 8 - Sets the variable message to the finalized version
    of message_send, which contains no " " markers. We do this because
    when we post our variables PHP will look for variables with the
    same name. Remember in the PHP code we refer to the variable
    messagenot message_send so we must make sure the correct variable
    holds the correct value.
    Line 9 - Deletes the counter variable for our loop from
    memory
    Line 10 - Deletes the temporary message_sendvariable we used
    for altering the new line markers.
    SEND BUTTON CODE
    on (release) {
    if (subject eq "" or message eq "" or from eq "") {
    stop ();
    } else {
    lineAdapt();
    loadVariablesNum ("mail.php3", 0, "POST");
    gotoAndStop (2);
    WHAT THE ABOVE MEANS
    Line 1 - Says "Perform these actions when this button is
    clicked then released"
    Line 2 - Checks to see if any variable has no value. We don't
    want people sending us mail with no reply address for instance.
    Line 3 - Line 2 returns True, stop.
    Line 4 - Line 2 returns False, go on.
    Line 5 - Perform the predefined function lineAdapt () on our
    currently entered variables.
    Line 6 - Send variables, using the POST method, to our PHP
    script which will send the email off. (Note that you could also use
    LoadVars objects in place of LoadVariables if you wish to make this
    more synchornous. See the LoadVariables and LoadVars tutorial.)
    Line 7 - Go to the confirmation message and stop once the
    email is sent.

  • Adobe Flash & Javascript don't work even though Enabled

    Ever since what I think was either a Firefox upgrade (I don't know which one) or installation of Quicktime, my Adobe Flash Plugin is perpetually crashed and I cannot play any Flash content on any website. All that displays in place of the video is a gray screen with the sad-face Lego icon and the message: “The Adobe Flash Plugin has crashed. Please reload the page to try again.” (See attached image.) But it will not resolve when reloaded.
    No Flash videos on any sites work. HTML5 videos work on YouTube when tested, but non-HTML5 videos won't work.
    Also, my Javascript does not seem to be working since at least some displays requiring javascript don't work. Sometimes the display just doesn't work, and sometimes I get a message that javascript is disabled and must be enabled, but it is already enabled (set to “true” in about:config).
    I have spent days scouring every help forum entry I can find on troubleshooting Flash Player and Javascript. Everything on my end seems to be in order and I cannot find or fix either problem. I think it is possible the issue could have its roots in the fact that Javascript seems to not be working which may be preventing Flash Player content from working...??
    Also, Flash content does work in I.E. but not in Firefox (I do not have Chrome installed so did not test in Chrome). I have too many window tabs open in Firefox and can't switch to I.E. (nor do I like to use I.E.).
    PLEASE HELP as this is crippling for very important work deadlines I have.
    This is what else I know and have tried:
    I have a Toshiba Satellite C75D-A Laptop;
    Processor: AMD A6-5200 APU with Radeon HD Graphics; x64; 2.00 Ghz;
    RAM: 8 MB;
    OS: 64-bit system; Windows 8.1 (but some auto-check utilities detect it as 8.0 because it was upgraded.);
    Graphics Card: “Desktop Graphics” System – AMD Radeon HD 8400 (0x9830);
    Installed Graphics Driver Version: AMD 13.352.1004.1007 (Driver Date: 4/22/2014)
    My Device Manager graphics driver updater states: “driver software is up to date.”
    From the AMD website: the graphics driver auto-detect utility recommended the AMD Catalyst Driver (amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-without-dotnet45-win8.1-64bit.exe) I tried installing this driver, but it won't install. After trying to install, I got a message stating: “We are unable to find a driver for your system.” But Device Manager states I have a current driver, and my graphics card & driver seem to be working fine, so I do not believe this is part of the issue.
    I am using Latest Firefox version 35.0.1; and
    Using Latest Flash Player: 32-bit NPAPI Plug-in Version: 16.0.0.296; designated: “always activate” (Downloaded new update several times, including fresh install after uninstall; system & web address icons indicate Flash is enabled).
    I turned off hardware acceleration in FF Tools>Options>Advanced>General
    I disabled WebGL as explained here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
    I am using Ad-Block Plus which has never affected things in the past. I have not tried starting FF in Safe Mode because I believe I will lose all open tabs and not be able to recover them (I may have over 200 open). But disabling add-ons has no effect (I disabled all except for Sessions Manager in case of a crash). (My No-Script has been disabled for at least six months.)
    I have Windows Media Player and Quicktime installed.
    Quicktime is most recent upgrade (7.7.6) so should not be a problem according to:
    “QuickTime plugin takes over Flash” at:
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash#Disabling_Protected_Mode_in_Flash_11.3
    (note underscores in place of spaces in string; underscores not insertable here)
    Disabling Quicktime had no effect in the prior version of FF (ver. 35.0), but in latest FF ver. 35.0.1, Flash videos only display a plain (blank) gray screen instead of the sad-faced icon and crash message.
    (I tried to uninstall Quicktime altogether, but was not able to due to Error codes 2502 & 2503. I tried troubleshooting that as well with no luck using methods successful for other programs, including here:
    http://www.fixkb.com/2014/01/error-2503-and-2502-when-uninstalling-on-windows-8.html;
    & here:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-winapps/re-internal-error-codes-2502-and-2503-for/ba5f2145-aa6e-4cc0-81a7-e4346f43b698.)
    Disabling my FF theme and using the default brought back the sad-faced icon and crash message in the place of videos on some YouTube pages, but not other YouTube pages (where video was still blank gray screen). It also enabled a still Flash image (an ad) to display on a different website page that previously had a Flash Plugin crash message. I have been using this same theme for a couple of years without previous issue. While turning it off did generate an effect on some still imagery, it didn't fix the video problem.
    I tried Disabling Protected Mode in Flash 11.3 as explained here:
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash#Disabling_Protected_Mode_in_Flash_11.3
    (note underscores in place of spaces in string; underscores not insertable here).
    It did not solve the issue.
    I also deleted all storage & data in Flash Player as advised. This had no effect either.
    I've tried all solutions I've been able to find and am at a loss for what to try next. Please help and advise ASAP. Thank you!!

    I truely admire the efforts that have been made to make this work.
    "“We are unable to find a driver for your system.” "
    For it not installing, you need to follow these instructions to install them: see the comments: [http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider_wintp-insider_devices/windows-10-atiamd-display-drivers/50944d10-dde3-4e08-8244-d54eb2b1e7de] --> take warning though it looks like it has caused issues for others as well.
    Since it was working for some youtube videos and not others, there might be an issue with a particular video codec. DO you have OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. plugin?
    Is it possible to try Safe Mode after saving your session with [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/session-manager/ Session Manager Addon]? IT would test hardware acceleration in Firefox.
    </blockquote>
    Thank you, guigs2! Sorry for my delayed reply...I didn't realize I hadn't gotten back to you. Update is that I did try a whole slew of other troubleshooting steps including starting FF in safe mode, to no avail. However, I was FINALLY (after months) able to solve this problem just today by pure chance!
    The problem was that hardware acceleration was enabled in the Flash settings. I had not been able to turn it off because I didn't have access to the Flash Player settings as long as the crash error message was visible, which was all the time! Today, by a sheer fluke, I saw a static picture in place of the crash message on a Flash video. I snagged the opportunity to call up the settings and turn off hardware acceleration, and it fixed the problem for my whole browser! This has been a frustrating issue because I did not have access to the settings utility as long as I had the crash message, which was always, so my Flash was crippled without the ability for me to fix it until pure luck gave me this window of opportunity.
    Does anyone know another way to access the settings utility if this ever happens again in the future? I could not find a way. (Incidentally, I had tried disabling hardware acceleration via my graphics driver settings, but it didn't fix the problem.) We need Adobe to allow some other way to access the Flash Player settings utility when this problem arises since they aren't accessible when there is a static crash message.
    Thanks again!

  • Firefox consistently crashes when loading Flash sites

    For a couple of reasons I decided to go ahead and install OSS a few days ago.  On the first day, the install went smoothly and everything was working just as it should (I used the oss-linux-free PKGBUILD in AUR).  Yesterday and today, however, I've started to get a reoccurring problem that is, to put it lightly, driving me nuts.
    Firefox (or Epiphany, though I prefer the former) consistently crashes when opening up any site that uses Flash or Java.  With the way the internet is going, this is a large chunk of websites—not being able to visit YouTube or the website for Enemy Territory: Quake wars, for instance, is driving me nuts.
    Now, when I say "consistently" I don't mean each and every time.  I've been able to get these sites to load a number of times, but in the last two days Firefox has crashed in probably 2/3-3/4 of the time when loading any site that has a Flash element.  I've made sure that I have not wrongly assumed this has to do with my newly installed OSS by uninstalling, reinstalling the kernel and all ALSA packages, rebooting, and then surfing the web for a while to see if anything went wrong.  It didn't.
    So my question is this: why is Firefox crashing so often in the two days since I've installed OSS?  What can be done to rectify this?
    After some experimenting, it seems the problem is worst under the following conditions:
    - Having several tabs open, though not necessarily several tabs with Flash
    - Listening to music and THEN navigating to YouTube or something.
    However, it's not specific to these circumstances.  In fact, just before I decided to make this post I opened Firefox, went to a site with Flash on it (one tab), and it immediately shut down.  I tried this three or four additional times and was met with the exact same results.
    Other info
    Firefox: Pre-compiled Mozilla i686 build, v. 2.0.0.11
    OSS: OSS (GPL version) 4.0, build 1012
    Operating System: Arch Linux 2.6.23-ARCH
    I've also posted this here.

    I have the same problem. I've never been able to identify when it started. Once firefox crashes, mpd, if it was playing, becomes unresponsive. The only way to get a flash site working again is to reboot my computer.
    I uninstalled flash: I'm not going to put up with that kind of behaviour. Now I watch youtube videos on other people's computers --you know how they say "You've GOT to see this movie!". And if I really need to see that one specific video, there's youtube-dl.
    Unfortunately gnash doesn't work on youtube for me.

  • Help Needed!! embeding a swf widget into a flash site

    Hi all.
    I am currently making a flash site for a band, and need to
    embed an external SWF widget into it.
    Its easy enough to embed it into HTML page, but idealy this
    site will endup a single SWF file, to make distribution onto the
    bands various pages (MYspace etc) easier.
    The code to embed in html is:
    <embed src="
    http://www.soundclick.com/player/V2/mp3player200.swf"
    width="200" height="140"
    flashvars="bandid=850463&playType=band&ext=1&testMode=0&autoplay=1"
    name="MP3PlayerBasic" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    wmode="transparent" pluginspage="
    http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
    />
    Some one told me it should be no probs to embed a swf with
    some sort of LoadMovie command, but he didnt have a qule about
    assigning flashvars to it.
    Any help here would ge greatly apreciated.
    Cheers.
    Sion

    I am listening to you and was letting you know that the code that I am trying to use is probably from an old forum. The code that Flash CS4 cranks out is about 10 pages long which seems a little much just to import an .swf with a transparent background. I don't imagine CS6 would be much shorter.
    From what I gathered, the html file checks to see what version of Flash you're using as well as what browser. The code for that is insane in my opinion and I am trying to keep my html file for my homepage rather small. I had no problem importing this in DW with a transparent background (when I was using DW) but am using Komodo Edit as my HTML editor now as it didn't come with Production Premium that I just got.
    If you know the correct (newer) code, that would import an .swf with a transparency, that would be most be useful. If not I guess I'll just wait for someone to reply that does.
    I will try to extract the code from the CS4 HTML file and use that, but did already try it once and it didn't work. If all else fails, I'll just download a trial version of DW and/or Flash CS6 and see if I can figure out how I did it on a website I developed a couple years ago (that I lost the files from in a HD crash).
