Flex chart x-axis spacing between data

hello
i am using flex chart line series and column series. i want
to display 100 data points, with different dates along the x-axis,
but i don't want all 100 points to be displayed at the same time as
the x-axis dates will not be readable. i want to have a fixed space
between each x-axis point and the user then scrolls along the
chart.
i read the API but do not see any way to add the x-axis
spacing?
also how i do put more data information, with each data point
if a mouse if placed over it, not just the X & Y data points.

you mentioned about using min/max values on the x-axis. That
is a good solution except i would then need to add buttons to say
,show the next 30 days.
I really want to to show 90days of data data, with say 30
days appearing at once, and the user just scrolls to see the rest
of the days data without having to press buttons for more data. Any
idea how i can do this?

ImplementationOpt Design[Opt 31-67] Problem for AXI bus between data mover ip and axi interconnect

I'm using vivado 2014.4 and win7 64bit for my zynq design. Previously, the design is good. I made some revisions. Then I came across the problem.
If the synthesis strategies option is flow_runtime_optimatized(Vivadio synthesis 2014), everything works
If the synthesis strategies option is default options (the synthesis settings are shown in the picture), Synthesis is still fine, but the implementation failed. Some of the errror msg is shown below.
The error message shows there are unconnected pins on axi_interconnect_1. The connections between AXI master from my own IP(it is the axi port from a DataMover IP) and axi_interconnected is shown in the attached picture.
The synthesis schematic is also checked. The connections of the axi_interconnect have some pins unconnected as shown in the picture (interconnect_schematic_synth.PNG). The connections of my IP are good, but it misses some pins (like _arready, _rvalid, _ruser, _bid...). The master AXI port in my port is from the data mover IP. By default, the data mover IP doesn't have these missed pins. The AXI port on my IP declares these missed pins, but actually they are not connected to any inside my IP.
Btw, previously, the project works well in my design. But now it doesn't.
I also check the connections of the axi_interconnect when synthesis strategies option is flow_runtime_optimatized, the schematic show all pins are connected.

THx for your reply.
I tried implementation with opt_design option -directive Explore, it didn't work.
Aslo I disabled the opt_design and enabled phys_opt_design, it still has the same error in the implementation.
I would try to delete the pins related _AR_(like _arready, etc. ) and _R_ (like _rdata, _rid, etc.) pins in the AXI4 port in my IP. The data mover ip doesn't contains thes pins. I want to see whether it works this way.
Hopefully, the new vivado version will help.

I don't know what you mean then.
If you set the min and max to be a certain number of days
apart then you know the dates within those days will be displayed.
That combined with the width of the chart will define how much
space there is between x-axis points.

Showing one data point on a line chart - X-axis label placed away from its actual position

Hi Guys,
     In line chart, i used CircleItemRenderer to show single data point. It shows correctly if it is single data point. But the x-axis label placed away from its actual position. Right now it displayed left most position where the line chart starts. I need to move that label straight of that datapoint where it plotted. Please see the screen shot attached with this post.
In screen shot, x-axis label "Jan" displayed in left most position.
     And how can we show the datatip for single datapoint. At present, we can't able to see the datatips also with single datapoint.
     Can any body help me to fix those two issues.

How to set date format dd.MM.yy for chart time axis

Is it possible to set default date format dd.MM.yy instead of MM/dd/yy in Flex charts without using label function ?
In this case we do not know beforehand the length of the time span; it can be minutes, days or weeks.
Setting locales in compiler options or locale settings for application seems not having any effect.

For example
- mx:Barchar
- if time span is 4 minutes; time axis format is HH:mm and shows 10:00, 10:01, 10:02, 10:03 ; *this correct*
- if time span is 5 days; time labels are automatically in MM/dd/yy format; question is how to change this automation
to format dd.MM.yy
- how to do this *without* dateformatter and *without* coding "if time span is is longer than day nyt less than week then use dd.MM.yy format" ?

Adding Spacing Between Groups of Bars in a Bar Chart

I am using Word 2010. How can I add a subtitle to a grouping of bars (that each set of two bars has a descriptive title) as well as additional spacing between the groups of bars. In other words, if I have two sets of two bars in two separate "categories"
that in both categories the two sets of bars are labeled as "Trial 1" and "Trial 2", I want to add a "category" subtitle under each "Trial 1" and "Trial 2" bar grouping as well as additional spacing between
these two sets of two bars (that is greater than the spacing between the two sets of two bars for each category) to help make the distinction between the two categories of bars.

Per my understanding that you have designed an Bar chart and have two category groups, you want to add space between each category group and also add subtitle for the category, right?
I have tested on my local environment and use some sample data to design the bar chart like below:
Details information below about how to design the bar chart for your reference:
1. I assumed you have three kind of values in Category group1(HotelName:A,B,C) and you need to add some blank values for Categroup2(RoomType) to make this group display between A,B,C as the blank bar like the add the space between, Modify the query like
below:

Three data sets in a single Flex chart?

Hello everyone;
I've successfully integrated two data sets into a single Flex
chart; now I'm wondering how to bring in another one. Here's an
example of what I'd want to do. Say I wanted to chart average
lifespan and average household income by US State. So I'm imagining
each state could be represented by a pair of bar charts - one
representing lifespan and using the left y axis and one
representing income and using the right y axis. The third component
would be the state, which the user should be able to display or
hide. I'm imagining states being represented by color and a label
on the x axis, and user controls to display more or fewer years.
Any change I could actually pull this off?

I'm not entirely certain where the conflict from adding
States would appear, but I'm a little unclear on your data model.
Have you considered putting all the information into a single data
set? I would suggest filling an Array Collection with a class like
this:
public class infoHolder
public var lifespan:int;
public var salary:int;
public var stateName:string;
Then you can simply fill your chart like this:

SSRS 2008: how to show an empty chart with legend and x and y axis when no data available

I am using SSRS 2008, I generated one chart in report designer with the data from Analysis Services (Cube).
According to the dataset, there is no data returned when I run the query. so when I preview the chart, there is nothing but "no data available" showing on the chart.
Here I want to know is there any possible to show an empty chart with legend and x and y axis?
If it is possible, can you tell me how can I make it?

Hi,
When there is no data, the chart displays the message "no data available". But using a little work around, you can display an empty chart.
Please find the below steps given to achieve this
1. Create a new dataset using TSQL to return 1 row of data having the category field and value field set to 0. Add the fields that are necessary for the category fields, series fields and datafields.
   A simple example would be like
   SELECT 'abc' as Category, 0 as Amount
2. Add a new chart, set the category field to 'Category' and set the data field to Amount from above dataset created in step 1.
3. In the new chart, right click the category axis and select axis properties, Click on the labels tab, check on
'Hide axis labels' and then click ok
4. Now set the Visibility property of both the charts depending on the rows returned from your main dataset
   a. click on your main chart and set its Hidden property to :
=iif(CountRows("MainDataSet"),false,true)
   b. click on the new blank chart added and set its Hidden proprety to (the opposite) :
=iif(CountRows("MainDataSet"),true,false)
   Note : Please change the dataset name in above expression "MainDataset" to the name of your chart's dataset
5. Resize the new chart to the same size as your main chart, then position the new chart on the place as the main chart.
   (Note : You can set the position of new chart to be same by copying the location property from the main chart)
6. Now run and observe the result. When there are no rows returned by your main dataset, the new chart (the blank chart) should be displayed.

Customizing distance between data Points on x-Axis

Hi,
I want to draw a LineChart.
I have these Timestamps [84, 1000, 34000, 34699, 439999] who
are represanting the x-Value of DataPoints along the X-Axis.
Unfortunately the distance between 2 datapoints along the
x-Axis is always the same, that means that between the points with
x-values 84 and 1000 is the same distance along the axis as between
the points with x-values 34699 and 439999.
But the distance between points with x-values of 34699 and
439999 should be much greater than between 84 and 1000.
How can I customize the distance between data Points on a
LineChart to solve my Problem?
I really dont know right now!

What happens if you convert the time stamps to Dates and use
a DateAxis?

Can we print an array of dates on the chart X-Axis?

Hi,
I have a requirement in which I have to print all the dates in the selected date range on the chart axis even though I donu2019t have the data for all the dates in my DB.I did not find any direct solution in Crystal Report Designer (2008, XI) except we can use "time scale" option in axes tab of chart option but this option also does not provide the required behavior completely.
After implementing this option I get the date range on chart but from the date I have data in the DB and to the date I have the data in the DB.
For Example, though I have selected the date range from 2nd April to 8th April, dates in the chart are starting from 5th April since I have the data in the DB of 5th April and 8th April.
To overcome this limitation of crystal report I thought of creating an array of dates of the selected date range. I can create the array of dates in crystal report but donu2019t know how to use this array in chart to show the summary data.
I also want to base my Group on this array since I want to show all the dates in group even with count zero.

I am using the following formula to create an array of dates.

This formula is a print time formula since when I specify "WhileReadingRecords" array remains blank (I have confirmed this by returning any single value from the array).
I can not base my Group and Chart on any Print Time formula since these two get calculates at read time.
Can you please let me know if there is any other way of creating the array at read time? Or should I create the array in main report and then pass it to sub report?

Flex Charting DateTimeAxis

I have a problem in the Flex Charting with the DateTimeAxis.
I have requirement to show more than 60 days data in days using the
line chart. When I tried that, chart showing x-axis data point in
months instead of days even though dataUnits mentioned in days.
When I observed Chart show data correctly if the data is in between
two months. If the data is span across more than two months chart
is showing x-axis labels in months.
Please let me know anything wrong in the code.

Single Chart Series with multiple color data points

I am developing an application using the flex chart component
and I am binding data to 3 different chart series which is pretty
intense processing. I was wondering can I use only one chart series
and when I bind the data points just to change the color per data
point which meet certain criteria?
Here one method from my application where I am dynamically
