FLEX implementation

Hi all!
I want to try that FLEX thing... does anybody knows how to implement some FLEX item into apex???
Thanks!!!!

If you have a compiled Flex program, you can add it to an Apex page the same way you'd add it to any web page.
Here is some code I took from an example on flex.org that embeds a flex program.
I just put it into an HTML region. Change the src to point to your flex program. (In 4 places)
<noscript>
    <object id='flexApp' classid='clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000' codebase='http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,5,0,0' height='400' width='640'>
        <param name='src' value='#APP_IMAGES#dgh.swf'/>
        <embed name='flexApp' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer' src='#APP_IMAGES#dgh.swf' height='400' width='640'/>
    </object>
</noscript>
<script language='javascript' charset='utf-8'>
document.write("<object id='flexApp' classid='clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000' codebase='http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,5,0,0' height='400' width='640'>");
document.write("<param name='src' value='#APP_IMAGES#dgh.swf'/>");
document.write('<embed name="flexApp" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="#APP_IMAGES#dgh.swf" height="400" width="640"/>');
document.write("</object>");

  • Flex 2 + CF MX 7.0.2 under Apache

    I have been trying for almost 4 months to get Flex and CF
    7.0.2 to communicate with each other under Apache 2.2, but have
    gotten basically no-where. For example, I can't even get Ray
    Camden's Flex implementation to work, nor any of the CF wizard
    tutorials...or anything for that matter.
    Apache works. CF works. Flex works. CF works WITH Apache (so
    it says...after doing all the technotes and jdbc:mysql stuff) but
    Flex and CF won't communicate properly as regards reading any kind
    of data from a database.
    Under the CF wizard in Flex, for example, it tells me the
    only valid server root is WEB-INF/flex, on the install drive of
    CF...but that's not even on the same drive as Apache htdocs.
    Has anyone run across a tutorial on how to make this fly? I
    have basically used the ACME Guide, and dumped in Flex, as I've run
    into no instructions anywhere to cover adding Flex properly under a
    CF/Apache environment. I have tried every configuration I can think
    of, and completely formatted/reinstalled everything at least a
    dozen times since November.
    Any suggestions? Should I just dump Apache completely? I
    thought it was wrong to run CF/Flex on the web without it...
    Shawn

    You need to do the 7.01 update and then the 7.02 update.

  • Flex and Mapping api's

    Open Question, could anyone suggest strategies to integrate
    mapping
    internally into a flex application.
    From what I've determined:
    Yahoo! doesn't have a Flex 2.0 map API (with no firm release
    date), just Flex 1.5
    At least one workaround has been provided,
    http://www.asfusion.com/blog/entry/inserting-yahoo-maps-in-a-flex-2-application
    which is creative, but not necessarily intuitive.
    & there are several nice flex implementations
    http://www.arcwebservices.com/awx/index.jsp
    http://plasma.nationalgeographic.com/mapmachine/index.html
    but no raw materials to use in my own app.
    Fair to say that at the present time the easiest method is to
    use a javascript
    api, perhaps using a method like the following:
    http://coenraets.com/viewarticle.jsp?articleId=100
    http://coenraets.org/samples/flexmaps/flexmaps.html
    where certain interface components are in flash.
    As I said, a very open question. Thanks.

    Sorry for the late reply.
    Hi Roman,
    As you said, need some details based on SAP BW query Web-API.
    The main aspect is to play around with Flex data during run time using Xcelsius.

  • Flex in a week: error Could not resolve s:Application to a component implementation

    Hi All, I've seen other posts mentioning this error but seems no fix has come up.
    Was just trying out the example project for Flex in a Week and out of the box am stuck on
    " Could not resolve <s:Application> to a component implementation "
    the namespace and all expected attributes are in the s:Application tag.
    Is there a common fix for using these samples?
    thanks everyone for your consideration.

    Thanks, I am using Flex Builder 3.

  • Question about implementing a Flex app in Wlp 1.3.2

    Does anyone have an example of implementing a flex application in weblogic portal? I'm trying to figure out how one flex portlet (java 286) can trigger an event and have another java 286 portlet catch the event.
    thanks

    Yes, you have the snmpEngineTime / .1.3.6.1.6.3.10.2.1.3 option on IOS 12.0(3)T or later, as explained in this post:

  • Flex security - RSA implementation?

    Hi all,
    i am developing a client server app, the client is a flex app that communicate with a php server with amf protocol.
    I need some security so i think some possible solution:
    1. using https, but with any "web debugging proxy" anyone can decrypt ssl, so this is not a solution
    2. using an rsa implementation, so if someone read the traffic it wont be a problem, but if someone
         deassemble flex client, can access to the client private key and then the security will go away
    Is there some stuff to securize the communication?
    Thank you

    Hi,
    For security purposes, you would store the private key in the card and perform all private key operations there. One approach could be to store a certificate and the corresponding private key in a java card applet and then retrieve the certificate from the card. You could then send a random number (nonce) to the card and ask it to sign the number. The host application can then verify the signature with the public key in the certificate. The host could also verify the certificate against a certificate authority or a known trust chain.
    The hard part is that you will need to implement this in the applet yourself. You can define a set of APDU's that you could send to the card for specific responses. For instance one command to get the certificate and another to sign some arbitrary data. You would also want a way of injecting the keys (this is the simple less secure approach though).
    With certificates you can use the cryptographic properties to verify that you trust the card and if you do not receive a trusted certificate the program can terminate. Also if the signature is not verified then you could exit as well as the card has not proven ownership of the private key.
    Cheers,
    Shane

  • Can we implement partial page rendering on item style Flex??

    Hi All,
    In an xml,
    I have item style 'Flex' for expense account.
    Requirement is :
    In the same page i have other LOV which brings the data based on one of the segments of that expense account.
    So any changes in one of the segments for the expesne account need to be stored and LOV query should be modified accrodingly..
    So trying with following possibilties
    1) Use partial page rendering for expense account
    2) Split the page into two so that first expense account is displayed and any modifications to it are handled in controller and use LOV Mappings to update the query.
    So can partial page rendering can be implemented for Item style "Flex".
    Can anyone please provide the inputs to handle this scenario and best possible solution?
    Issue is very hot right now.. Quick help needed..

    Hi

  • Session Implementation in flex application

  • How we implement push on a flex applications?

    Hi
            Can any body tell me how we can implement push in flex.please tell me what actually this push means.even i have no idea what is push in flex?
    So please provide me link of some basic tutorial or explain me.
    Thanks In advance
           Vineet osho

    It meansh taht the servers sends data to your client through a persistent
    channel. Hence the push. You have a permanent connection between the Server and
    the Client. The client does not have to ask for updates/data it just gets them.
    This is different from the pull where client makes request for updates tho the
    server and the server replies with data as a result of the client requests. Pull
    is getting stuff ion demand.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Push%E2%80%93pull_strategy
    this is a high level explanation.
    You have to use LCDS/Blaze DS in the backedn they have this kind of
    functionality built in. On the flex side there si not that much to do configure
    communication channels and listen for the incoming data. Once is there it is the
    same as in pull.

    Moving the Flex specific text-capable implementation of AbstractFXGGraphics (i.e. TextFXGGraphics) to the compiler module as it is not relevant to swfutils. Adding an implementation of AbstractFXGGraphics as FXGGraphics that simply ignores FXG TextGraphic nodes. To assist switching between these implementations during development, I'm adding a temporary Embed parameter called "ignoreText" that can be set to true or false for .fxg assets.

    Aha, found my problem.
    It seems I forgot to select the Flex 3 SDK. Switched that
