Do you know any FM to change description of structure node in a Record in RMS?

How to restrict the user to change the project structure but not the documents?

Hi,
I have created one project assigning different users in Solution manger. I want to risitrict some of the users to change the project structure but simultaneously allwoing the project documents to be created, edited or deleted using solar01 under Project documentation tab. For that I have followed the steps provided in the follwoing link.

I am able to restrict the users to change the project structure, but I am not able to allow access to the project documents. It gives me the message "You are not authorised to change the project". This fulfills my one of the requirements. But, Is there any way to restrict the user to change the project structure but not the documents?. Any help will be apperitiated.

Hi Rutvik,
Basically there are 2 different authorization role ...you should look for and customize as per requirement in Z* namespace.
role - SAP_SOLAR01_ALL
this take care of objects in Solar01 like tab access etc
role -SAP_SOL_KW_ALL
this takes care of entire documentation within solman

Structure, NODE, VALUE, and FUNCTIONAL MAPPINGS

Guys -
I am a novice to XI. But, I guess as per my understanding this is what I think. Please advis me if you have better opinion that would justify this answer in certifrication.
XI by definition supports only the following 4 mappings types:
Message (Graphical), XSLT, JAVA & ABAP
However, first in Element cardinality addresses something called NODE MAPPING which describes as follows:
Mapping of Non Mandatory Nodes (minOccurs=0)

1. If a non mandatory node contains elements with minOccurs>0, these elements becomes mandatory after their parent node is assigned
2. Assignment of element is not sufficient
3. Node has to be 'created' by assigning a suitable source node/element
Therefore, as per this discription, I believe NODE mapping a valid for CERTIFICATION
Secondly, as per my understanding of message mapping, we map source and target STRUCTURES here. Does not this mean STRUCTURE MAPPING? Please confirm?
Thirdly, You experts all must have done Value Mappings in your projects and there is no need for me to describe more about it. Can not we consider this as a valid answer for CERTIFICATION?
Last but not least FUNCTIONAL MAPPING; I am not sure why this option is here? May be this is just to add confusion. On the otherside, it make sense if we consider including functions (both standard and user-defined) in our mapping. Does this make sense being a valid Mapping at all?
In other words, let me ask you all experts; Is this a direct or indirect question? If it is direct then we should turn down all the options. If indirect, may the first 3 are correct or all four.
Therefore, I rely on your guys for you input. Please provide your valuble analysis.

The types of message mapping viz. graphical, ABAP, java and XSLT - are the features of XI.
On the other hand, the types - structure mapping and value mapping - are general concepts. Any integration tool should support these.
Structure Mapping is not very much concerned which values are being mapped. It is more concerned about the structure of source and target elements.
It can be of two types (these don't have formal names as such)
1) Mapping values of some source elements to some target elements
e.g. source has element <fname> which is directly mapped to element <FirstName> in the target.
2) Mapping values after changing the element structure
e.g. source is
<name>
<fname> --- </fname>
<lname> --- </lname>
</name>
And target is
<fullname> --- </fullname>
So here we concatenate source elements and map to target.
Value Mapping concentrates on the actual values that are being mapped.
Sometimes the requirement is like although source and target strcutres are similar, values need to be translated into another set and then mapped.
e.g. we have an element called <TravelClass> in both source and target element.
Now assume that source message uses codes such as 1, 2 etc. for this element. However, the target mmay expect strings values such as 'business', 'economy' etc. for this element.
In such cases, we use value mapping. Essentially we achieve the following translation:
1 -
> business
2 -
> economy
In graphical mapping we have a standard function called ValueMapping to define a simple table like one above.
Finally, the term 'Functional Mapping' is given only to confuse the people

How to change the default structure when exporting data in CSV format?

Hello,
can some one tell us how to change the default structure in CRM when exporting lists in CSV format (with Option "Always use unformatted list format (CSV) for download" ? Because we want to add a new structure for our own -is it possible ?
If it is possible where can we find these structure ? In the blueprint customizing ?

There is a workaround to move from 1.5 version to the older 1.4 version. But this could be specific to the browser setting the JRE version.
Excerpts from sun docs:
However, a user can still run older versions. To do so, launch the Java Plug-in Control Panel for the older version, then (re)select the browser in the Browser tab.
Example:
Assume you are running on Microsoft Windows with Microsoft Internet Explorer, have first installed version 1.4.2, then version 5.0, and you want to run 1.4.2.
Go to the j2re1.4.2\bin directory where JRE 1.4.2 was installed. On a Windows default installation, this would be here: C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\bin
Double-click the jpicpl32.exe file located there. It will launch the control panel for 1.4.2.
Select the Browser tab. Microsoft Internet Explorer might still appear to be set (checked). However, when 5.0 was installed, the registration of the 1.4.2 JRE with Internet Explorer was overwritten by the 5.0 JRE.
If Microsoft Internet Explorer is shown as checked, uncheck it and click Apply. You will see a confirmation dialog stating that browser settings have changed.
Check Microsoft Internet Explorer and click Apply. You should see a confirmation dialog.
Restart the browser. It should now use the 1.4.2 JRE for conventional APPLET tags.

My system (Windows XP) has the version 1.5_09 set as the default. However i just installed JRE 1.5_06 and would like to revert back to _06 as the default JRE..

Change description of Bex Workbook in 2004s

How do we change description of the workbooks? Change description option from Bex analyzer is not available.
How would one move or copy a query / workbook from a role to another role ( There was an option with 3.5 in Bex browser and Bex Analyzer)
Option of saving a workbook and query to a role from Bex Analyzer > Open screen is not available

Which SRM version are you using ? What is your business requirement ? Do you want to change Service Item description value for every line item in the shopping cart OR
the permanent text displayed on the Left side on the HTML Template.. ?
Incase you want to modify the HTML template Text, then it can be done using HTML Template modification.
Using Transaction SE80, In the Internet Service - BBPSC01, you need to find the relevant HTML Template and make the required chnages to the Description there as per your business requirements.
All BBPSC* transaction are using the HTML sources of service BBPSC01.
So you have to modify template SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS_300 from service BBPSC01.
Make sure to publish the complete service on all defined sites so that changes can appear in all respective SRM Client systems.

could you provide an example ?
I think you speak about using field-symbol.
--> get the attributes of a structure or a table --> same has field catalog for ALV
--> get the value of the attributes :
concatenante structure_mane attribute_name into w_field separated by '-'.
assign (w_field) to <field>
check <field> is assigned.
and <field> is the value of the attribute attribute_name of the structure structure_name.

Change description in KE51. CEPC table

Hi:
I need some help. I hope you could help me.
I need to change a text field in Transaction KE51, KE52 and KE53, for creatin, and changing a Profit Center. I hace used CMOD for changing description txt in table CEPC-VERAK (repsonsible of profit center) , also I have change date element VERAPC in languages I need.
The problem is: I can see the changes in table fiels and in data elemet, but in KE51 fiels description in the old one.
Do tou know how I can change this description? I don´t know how to change it.

Using ur screen field try navigating to the screen-field properties by Pressin F1, Now check if the "Dict.Modified' is having value 'F'
if it is 'F' then u can not change the field description on the screen,

Change of Source Structure for Partial Settled WBS elements - CJ02

Hi
As per standard SAP, the change of source structure under settlement perameters of WBS element is not supported when the settlement of WBS element is done either partial / full.
However, the client needs this change by doing any Z-Development as one time activity (since the source structure was changed for certain WBS elements as per change in business process).
Can i Know procedure to do the Z development to modify the source structure for partial settled WBS elements and also let me know the any side effects in this regard.

I agree with Ajay. You can try to change it in Debugging mode.
The values are handed over from include LCJWBF5Q (form project_settle_single using)
Some customer have also made a modification as a permanent solution.
Unfortunately in the standard it is not possible.

By default JDeveloper is giving the following folder structure.
In the project's root folder there is a public_html and src folder along with .jpr file.
In public_html folder thre is an WEB-INF folder and a jsp file
In WEB-INF folder there is an classes folder along with web.xml file.
I need to have the following folder structure :
The WEB-INF folder should be in root folder of project not in public_html folder
src folder must be in WEB-INF folder.

In Maintenance View is it possible to change POP UP field display. In maintenance view we have 'Position' button ,when clicked on that the key fields of the Table used in the maintenance view is displayed ,is there any possibilities to restict the field display from 3 to 2.

Making changes in reusable structure

Hi,
I have a query upon which i want to run test cases. i made another query copy of the original one, exclusively for test purpose.
i do not want to change the original resuable structure, but still want to play around to see how the results will be coming.
is there any way that i could change the resuable structure in second query while retaining original structure in first query definition?

Hi Ravi,
In the second query you could right click the resuable structure and do a "Save As" give it a new tech name - and modify as required without effecting the original structure.

Values? Your newly created infostructure will have no data until you define how to update the underlying tables, and then execute the update.
You need to be a bit more specific. Are you saying that you attempted a 1-to-1 copy of S012 into a new structure, and you got a failure? What failure? What error message? If you have saved your new infostructure, you can run the consistency utility to see what if anything is missing/misconfigured MCSCHECK.
If you have no experience with infostructures, I suggest you enlist the services of an experienced person to assist you. Especially if you intend to implement non-standard characteristics and values, this can be a complex task.

Changing the extract structure MC02M_0ITM

Hi,
When I am trying to change the extract structure MC02M_0ITM, I am getting the following error:
"struct. from appl. 02 due to open v3 proc. not changed -> Long text" , "Message No. MCEX 140". All I was doing was adding more fields from communication structure to extract structure and I am getting above error message. Can someone shed some light on that. Appreciate your help. Thanks.

You have to
1) Clear LBWQ Queues if you are using Queued delta
2) Move all records from RSA7 - two times to BW under delta update call from BW - so that the records stored for repeat delta are also emptied
3) Empty the statistical set-up table - LBWQ transaction in R/3
then you can modify the structure in LO cockpit

How to change the case structure to string input?

Hi,
I have the inner case structure that it will decide to set "DC Voltage" or "DC Current" mode. The "Output Function" contained the selection of function "DC Voltage" or "DC Current". So far it only work with DC Voltage not DC Current. My question is how do I change the case structure to string selector? When the output function is selected to DC Voltage then the case structure is selected DC voltage case. Please help Thanks.

You don't really need to convert the value to a string? The problem is that the value of the individual ring items are not 0 and 1, as you assumed. The values generated by the controls are:
DC Voltage: 1006
DC Current: 1007.
You can find this out by viewing the properties for the "Output Function" and going to the "Edit Items" tab.
So, all you need to do is change the 0 to 1006 and the 1 to 1007 for your case items.
By the way, your sequence frame serves no purpose.
