  • How to create a proxy object for MOSS integration via WebDynpro For ABAP

    Hello all,
I have a question about the creation of an ABAP proxy class in SE80.
    When i follow this link:
i see on page 7 that there is: a tab under create called Enterprise Service/ Web Service with under this tab a tab called proxy object.
When i do this in my SE80 i only see Enterprise Service and not proxy object.
    Screenshot
    [http://picasaweb.google.be/panneels.robin/SAPScreens#5377623235095894546]
Is there a extra configuration or add-on needed to do this action? Or is there a work-arround for this?
Because we need this for abap web dynpro for communication with MOSS.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
    With kind regards,

    Hi James,
If you like to use SAP web dispatcher as a solution for load balancing portal application, you no need to create system object under systems..
You have to install web dispatcher as separate instance where you need to configure portal apps into it..
Configure web dispatcher like to hit the admin port, use http://<webdisp-server>:<adminport>/sap/admin
For normal portal access, use http://<friendly URL>/irj/portal
The good news is that the webdispatcher knows that the portal supports SSL
Another advantage of this config, is the webdisp, will just replace the apache redirect server. Users will access mycompany.com, without any port number, since we are redirecting 80 to the backend j2ee. Also, https should work like in the normal world.
    Profile will be like below...
    SAPSYSTEMNAME = WEB
    SAPSYSTEM = 00
    INSTANCE_NAME = W00
    DIR_CT_RUN = $(DIR_EXE_ROOT)/run
    DIR_EXECUTABLE = $(DIR_CT_RUN)
    Accesssability of Message Server
    Message Server Parameters ##########
NOTE: The "ms/http_port" must match the profile on the Central Instance
    rdisp/mshost = <FQDN of portal CI Host>
    ms/http_port = <Ms port of portal>
    SAP Web Dispatcher Ports
    #icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=81$$
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=80, TIMEOUT=3600, EXTBIND=1 (some OS will not allow to bind ports <1024)

  • Can we Change the backround color of an Input field in Webdynpro for ABAP.

    Hi Experts ?
Can we change the background color of an Input field in WebDynpro for ABAP based on results we receive from any function module or BAPI?? .
    Thanks in advance .
    Regards ,
    LAS

Yes. We can change the background of an input field. The way you do this is by editing the theme that webdynpro application uses. To edit the theme, you will need to install NWDS PLUS the theme edit plugin (Available for download from SAP).
Once you have edited the theme, you will need to upload your theme back to application server. You can use the program : BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to do this.
Bydefault, the theme used by webdynpro applications is :
    /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/sap_tradeshow
You can apply another theme by calling the webdynpro application with a theme parameter. For example, if my webdynpro application name is "zgopaltest", then
    <i><b>http://<server>:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zgopaltest?SAP-EP-THEMEROOT=/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/sap_tradeshow</b></i>
    will apply the sap_tradeshow theme.
Likewise, you can apply diffrent theme. There is another theme that SAP provides. Its called : sap_hcb. Hence, you can apply the theme to the above application by:
    <i><b>http://<server>:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zgopaltest?SAP-EP-THEMEROOT=/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/sap_hcb</b></i>

  • Webdynpro for ABAP - Popup apearing for userid and pwd

    Hi Experts,
We have implemented ESS and gone live. Now we have created one custom application in webdynpro for ABAP and attached with portal.
Initially there was a problem, the application was not getting executed because of system configuration, then I have configured the host name, port number correctly. Then the iView is getting loaded in the portal.
The problem is, when I am trying to access the iView, the popup apearing for the user id and password. This is happening only the webdynpro abap application, this is not happening for all sap standard iViews.
Could anyone help me with this issue?
    Thanks
    Jay

    Hi Jayanthi,
as you had mentioned this is not happening for sap standard iViews(do you mean simple transaction iViews for which you have used a system alias, which was the same you had used for ABAP web dynpro iview)?
Of courese ESS iViews works with their own JCOs which is no way helpful or connected with wd ABAP.
So I believe if your SAP id and Portal id are different(or if they are same but SAP Logon ticket is not configured properly) then only it woudl ask for the authentication again- for Wd ABAP to work fine, only the connector property  and WAS to tbe configured in the system object(aka system alias) used for ABAP iview. Now once you enter the login credentials, it is working fine right, then could you please test the user mapping under the user you are logged in, select the alias that you had used while creating the abap wd iView and provide userid/password here, then run the wd ABAP application, it definitely would work.
N.B: if you had provided the credentials once, then it woud be stored in the browser cache, so if you perform the user mapping in user admin, log off from portal, close all your browser windows, then clear cache,(cookies etc). then login to portal, run the wdABAP application, I am sure this would work(it worked for me!!!).
    Thanks,
    Jakes.

  • Prerequisites to configuration for ABAP Proxy -???

My scenario is file->XI->R/3(abap server proxy).
Xi and R/3 are 2 seperate business systems
-Abap server proxy created on R/3 business system. R/3 client 550
    -Xi client 400.
-SLD is common for both XI and R/3
<b>My question is in reference to the below message thread:</b>
<b>1.I  understand all the below configuartaion has to be done on R/3 business system, tell me am I correct</b>
<b>2. are these configuartion needed for <u>client proxy as well as server proxy</u> also?</b>
    HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK
The prerequisites to configuration for ABAP Proxy include: (landscape dependent)
    1. The business systems should be based on SAP Web AS 6.20 and SAP Web AS 6.20 kernel patch level above 1253
    2. You have installed the XI Add-On in each of these business systems as described in the Installation Guide SAP Exchange Infrastructure 3.0
    3. The business systems and your central Integration Server are maintained in the System Landscape Directory (SLD).
Configuration required on the Business System:
    1. Create HTTP connection in the business system.
    Configuration Details:
    Technical Setting:
    1. Following Inputs are required for technical setting
    1 Connection Type: H
    2 Target Host: System name
3 Service Number: HTTP Port name
    4 Path Prefix: /sap/XI/engine/?type=entry
    Logon Security
On the Logon/Security tab page, enter the following logon data:
1 User: XIAPPLUSER (for example); this user should represent the sending business system (see also the SAP XI Security Guide under Service Users for Message Exchange).
2 Password: the password you have specified for this user
3 Client: SAP XI Integration server
    4 Language: Language required
    2. Configuration Business system as local Integration Engine.
    1. Goto Transaction SXMB_ADM
    2. Choose Edit --> Change Global Configuration Data.
    3. Select Role of Business System: Application system
    4. Corresponding Integration server: dest://<HTTPDESTINATION>. Here <HTTPDESTINATION> SAPISU_XID created in step 1. Dest://SAPISU_XID.
    5. Under Specific Configuration Data you can specify additional configuration data
1.Select the relevant category under Specific Configuration Data.
    2.Choose Change Specific Configuration Data.
For ABAP Proxies, Add the following configuration:
    1.Category RUNTIME
    2.Parameters: IS_URL
    3.Current Value: dest://SAPISU_XID
    Configuration of the Integration Engine
    3. Connection between Business System and System Landscape Directory
    1. Create RFC destination (TCP/IP) LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI for the SLD connection.
1.Execute transaction SM59 in the business system.
    2.Choose Create.
    3.Enter at least the following:
    1.RFC Destination: LCRSAPRFC
    2.Connection Type: T
    3.Description: <your description>

5.Choose the Technical settings tab page and do the following:
6.In the Program ID field under Registered Server Program, enter LCRSAPRFC
7.This program ID must correspond to a program ID specified in the RFC engine settings of the SAP J2EE Engine on the Integration Server host.
    RFC Destination
    2. Maintaining the SAP J2EE Connection Parameters for LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in SAP J2EE engine
    1. Goto J2EE Engine
    2. Choose Cluster --> Server --> Services. JCo RFC provider
    3. Under RFC destination specify the following:
    Program ID: LCRSAPRFC
    Gateway Host: <Integration Server host>
Gateway Service: <Integration Server gateway service>
    Number of process: 3
    4. Under Repository specify the following:
    Application Server: <Integration Server host>
    5. Choose Set.
    3. Maintain SLD access details in Transaction SLDAPICUST
    1. You can reuse this program ID for all Business systems
    2. If there is HTTP error during connection, first run transaction SLDCHECK in the Business system. Also check that HTTP connection is working fine.
    3. In XI Adapter use HTTP connection rather then giving R/3 input details as this is easier to transport and maintenance
    4. One receiver adapter can be used for all Interfaces connecting to a Business system.
<b>Thanks for your reply in adavnce.</b>

    2. are these configuartion needed for client proxy as well as server proxy also?
    >>>>
the configuration is one time thing and your R3 will act as a server or client according to the data being sent or received.
In R3 a point to be noted is that in SXMB_ADM -> Intg. Engine Confg. -> Role of Business System sud be as a Application System.

  • External web service call from WebDynpro for ABAP

    Hi...
I'm inspecting Web Dynpro For ABAP, and trying to call external web services.
    I'm created Web Service, CAF-AS.
I create the proxy class(se80) and Logical Port(lpconfig), and I take the web service in componentcontoroller of my web dynpro using Web Dynpro Wiserd.
Though I expected the context to be registered by the same type as the service interface,
they are created strange structure as follow.
    <Context>
    CONTEXT
    ---FIND_BY_PARAMS
    IMPORTING
    INPUT
    CONTROLLER
    ORDER_TEXT_BY_PARAMS_REQ
    ---EXPORTING
    OUTPUT
    CONTROLLER
    ORDER_TEXT_BY_PARAMS_RES
The CONTOROLLER is defined by the type PRXCTRLTAB, and
ORDER_TEXT_BY_PARAMS_* has deep structure, as follow.
    ORDER_TEXT_BY_PARAMS_REQ
    ---CONTROLLER    type:PRXCTRLTAB(structure)
    ---QUERY_TABLE  type:ZTABLE_NAME
    ---QUERY_FIELD   type:ZFIELD_NAME
    ---QUERY_OPTIONS  type:ZORDER_TEXT_QUERY_OPTION_TAB
I want to use only service paralmeters,  that is named query_*.
I tried to excute the webService but dump  "OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED" occurs.
I think I must set any value to CONTOROLLER,?but I have no idea What & How I should set value.
please let me know, what is the CONTOROLLER, and how to call external web services.
    Regards,
    Naoya Tsugo,

    I solved problem by myself.

  • WebDynpro for Abap Test failed (System Admin/Support/WD)

    Hello,
I'm using EP 7.0 and I'm trying to test travel&expenses (Ehp3) WD for Abap from System Admin/Support Desk: Integration of SAP Applications/WebDynpro and we get the following error: Exception in SAP Application Integrator occured: Unable to parse template...the problem occured at position 275. Cannot process expression &lt;IView.PCDUnit.ShortID&gt; because Unable to get PCD Unit com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.WebDynpro.
System contector test is ok. Please, could you help me?
    Thank you

    Hello Michael,
Ok, I forget system connector and support tests. Web AS parameter are supposed to be ok:
Web AS Host Name: host.domain:port (from smicm tx)
    Web AS Host Name: /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/
    Web AS Protocol:     http
but the SAP Web AS Connection test fails. When trying to execute the iView it works. Does it mean that is it correct? Why WAS connection test fails?
In the other hand, when iView is displayed, it asks for user and password because the R/3 user is locked. Why R/3 user is locking everytime?
    Thank you&Regards

  • !!URGENT!!HELP REQD!! Transfer of idocs using ABAP port to partner system

I am trying to transfer idocs using an ABAP port (with a FM assigned) from R/3 to Partner system( APO 4.0). The idocs are successfully posted in SAP R/3 sender sytem(ERP2004) and passed to ABAP port. I receive a success message " IDOCs transferred to Function module&" in BD87.However, the idocs are not being processed by the port into the receiving system. The idocs never reach receiving system.
Is there a background process/event which needs to be run to trigger this ?
This works fine in our QA but not in our Dev. system.

    Shankar,
    As per my understanding,
    <b>IDOCs transferred to Function module&</b> in BD87.
This message your checking in receiving system.
why dont you check the partner profile in receiving end.
there might be the settings here choosed  for Background process.
If yes, please check there might be background activity or program scheduled to process at a given time.
As you have the QA system working fine. compare the settings.
that will be the easiest way.
<u>THIS is for my information </u>
why are you using the ABAP port.
Is there any unique funtionlaity given by this.
if you have info., i would like to know.

  • No RFC destination is maintained for the port 'SAPERP'

    Hi!
I am facing with a very strange thing.
    I am implementing a File_to_IDOC scenario.
Therefore I created in XI system the appropriate Ports in tcode IDX1.
I use one business system with two clients (SAPERB100 and SAPERB200).
I defined there of course the appropriate RFC connections (RFC_IDOCERB100 and RFC_IDOCERB200).
Unfortunately when I go into tcode IDX2 and try to load metadata I get the following error:
No RFC destination is maintained for the port 'SAPERP'
    Message no. IDOC_METADATA455
    Diagnosis
No RFC destination has been maintained for logging on to this system for the port SAPERP.
This means that no structure information can be provided for this port.
    Procedure
Maintain the required RFC destination for this port.
Can some one help me to solve this problem?
    Thank you very much!
    regards
    Holger

    HI Holger
You need to have a RFC destination created for XI server type 3 (ABAP) to push IDOC from ECC. Similarly you need RFC destination in XI towards ECC to load IDOC / RFC metadata.
    Thanks

  • Problem with ABAP Port Type

    Hello Experts,
My problem is related to Idoc generation using  ABAP Port Type.
In the creation of ABAP Port, one Z function module is assigned which has the code to generate another Idoc(MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE is used inside).
The problem is, I am able to create the first Idoc using this ABAP Port, and in the status, the first Idoc reached 03 with a message that this Idoc number reached the Zfunction module(which is assigned to port). But I'm unable to see the second Idoc generated. Even I am not sure whether this second Idoc generated or not.
Can you please explain how this ABAP Port type behaves, how to get this function module (which is assigned to port) into debugging mode and help me to solve this.
    Regards
    Sunil

    Hello Radha,
Thankyou very much for your reply.
Even though we keep a break point inside the Function Module it will not come into debugging mode. It needs a different procedure.
I will explain again what my requirement is.
We have a port defined as ABAP Port (Not tRFC and not File Port ). While creating this ABAP Port it never asks for RFC destination, but it asks for a Function Module. So we have given that function module also. ( Basically this Function module creates Idocs using MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE afetr the original Idoc is created and sent to this port. )
So Initially we have generated one Idoc thru shipment which is sent to this ABAP Port. Immediately on reaching this port we got a message that this first Idoc reached this ABAP port and reached the Function Module. But we dont see any new Idocs created using this function module.
We used this Function module in a zprogram and created Idocs which means that the code in FM is working perfectly.
Now the problem is we are not sure whether the firstly created IDoc (on reaching the port) is triggering this Function module or not. We have checked WE02 if any new Idocs created after the initially created Idoc. But we found nothing. The one we created is the latest.
So can anybody explain how this function module (mandatory to give while creating ABAP port) gets triggered? And how can we get this FM in to debugging mode.  Is there any link missing out there while defining ABAP port? Please explain.
    Thanks you
    Best Regards
    Sunil

  • SLD Application Programming Interface for ABAP-Based Systems

    Hi Experts,
Could you help me to configure the connection between SLD ABAP API and the SLD manually?
Why we use SLD Application Programming Interface for ABAP-based systems (SLD ABAP API)?
    please help.
    Sushama

You have to use transaction SLDAPICUST in the business system to define the SLD access data. This data consists of the host and port of the SLD as well as a user and password (PIAPPLUSER, for example). You can use the entries that you maintained on your Integration Server.
The RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI are used for the SLD connection. They use the SLD access data maintained with transaction SLDAPICUST. The RFC destination LCRSAPRFC is used to read the exchange profile; SAPSLDAPI is used by the ABAP API.
The RFC destinations are also used to retrieve the information about where to retrieve the information about where to find the Integration Builder required for the proxy generation. This information is located in the exchange profile.
You have to create both RFC destinations in your business system. They use the same registered server program, which is defined as part of the RFC engine settings of the J2EE Engine on the Integration Server host. This means that all business systems can use the same server program for their RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI. This program ID is:
&#9679;      SAPSLDAPI_UNICODE for Unicode business systems
    &#9679;      SAPSLDAPI_NONUNICODE
    This should help

    SDN,

Yes, this docuementation is correct.  You must activate the appropriate nodes in the ICF as well as use the fully qualified domain name in the profile parameter icm/host_name_full.  Also make sure that this profile parameter and value is defined in RZ10 as well.

  • Direct link to Web Dynpro for ABAP

    Hey everyone,
I created a web dynpro    for ABAP    application that will list out all the work items for the purchase requisition approval through workflow. I want to be able to have our higher ups be able to access this through our portal. I created an iView    that works and calls the application just fine.  What I want to do now is provide a link in an email to these people so they will be able to log into the portal and go directly to the application (just the application not portal wrapper around it at all) and only the application.  I can't provide a directly link to the WDA app since, I think, it would be to the ECC server and not the portal one.
I have tried Quick Links but that isn't what I want.
I did try to put a pcd location link
    http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/<pcd location>
but I get an internal error because it's trying to do an anonymous login and I want the login screen to show up first.
    HELP!!!!!
    Thanks,
    Archie

The PCD path of the portal object is the Navigation target.
    http:/myServer:50000/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/myFolder/myRole
This can be hashed and shortened to form the Short URL as shown below
    http:/myServer:50000/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=navurl://b3d6d9ebac16a46574d62757803b05d4
Short URL can be enabled and disabled depending upon the requirements.
Check the links below for detail description to enable short URL:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/43/014421d21d6fade10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/49/330b66fd695aa8e10000000a42189d/frameset.htm
NavigationTarget generally shows all the portal roles with the specific object highlighted.
In the sense it takes you to that Object with the portal header and TLN.
If your requirement is not to show header and TLN,then try adding &NavMode=3 to the NavigationTarget url you are using as below
    http://<server>.<port>/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://<PCD path of object>&NavMode=3
I( made some testes here, and works fine for worksets and roles.
    Hope it Helps.

I am trying to create a new node. That is
    CONTEXT
    - DYNFLIGHT
    CARRID
    CONNID
As you see above I am trying to create 'DYNFLIGHT' along with the 2 attributes which are inside this node. The structure of the node that is, no.of attributes may vary based on some condition. Thats why I am trying to create a node dynamically.
Also I cannot define the structure in the ABAP dictionary because it changes based on condition
