FM to obtain previous date

Question

Hi ,
is there any function module to obtian previous date.
if input is 21012008 then previous date is 20012008 and
if input is 01012008 then previous date is 31122207.

Hello Anand,
You can do it by the function moduel RP_CALC_DATE_IN_INTERVAL .
Here you have to give the sign '-' for signum as you need previous date.
you can get the date as you like... 1 day after, 1 day before, 10 days before, 10 days later ,1 year 3 months 15 days before like that...
REPORT zsample.
DATA: date1 LIKE sy-datum,
      prev_date LIKE sy-datum.
PARAMETER: p_date LIKE date1.
CALL FUNCTION 'RP_CALC_DATE_IN_INTERVAL'
     EXPORTING
          date      = p_date
          days      = '01'
          months    = '00'
          signum    = '-'
          years     = '00'
     IMPORTING
          calc_date = prev_date.
WRITE: / prev_date.

01.01.2008
OUTPUT
31.12.2007
