  • How to automatically view all attached pdfs in an Acrobat form?

    Hi!
I use an Adobe form that collates many different PDFs attached to various links within the form. When final review is required, I can (within that single form) click on each individual link, launching the attached PDF in a separate window. However, this is cumbersome and error prone (for example, a user might not see one of the buttons to click). I would like to generate a view where all the attached PDFs are displayed in continuous fashion, preferably right after the page where they were attached.
When this form is finally submitted, such a view is generated, so I know it is possible. However, it would be ideal to be able to review it in this format before it is submitted at all.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Link to the form is attached.

I tried another look but couldn't figure it out...but my javascript isn't fantastic. I looked at the example form that I think you got the code from and it works fine when Reader extended.
Here's a couple of links to tutorials from WindJack Solutions on the Acrobat User Community site - the first one should help alot, it shows how to do what I was mentioning above about putting all your code in one spot and using one table.

Check the uploaded PDF file as well. Make sure the file was uploaded as binary. If you view the PDF on the mainframe and you see %PDF- at the beginning of the file, then it was uploaded incorrectly as ASCII. If you view the PDF and turn on the hex character display, the file should begin with hex characters 25 50 44 46 2D. If the file begins with those hex characters, check the end of the PDF file to see if it ends with the hex characters 25 25 45 4F 46 0D 0A.

But generally it is never a good idea to send e-documents as email attachments.  Better use a file sharing service (Acrobat.com, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, ..), upload the document, then send the shared download link via email.

  • Viewing Multi Page tiff  files received as email attachments on the iPhone

I have spent hours trying to find a solution or a work-around to the problem of viewing multi page tiff ( .tif) email attachments on my iPhone 3G running 3.0. I have only ever been able to view the first page of these files.
Finally I decided to come up with my own solution. I have recently launched the website www.econvertimage.com. Anyone can now freely email tiff files to the site from their phone. These files are converted to pdf and then returned to the sender for viewing on their phone.
You can set up an auto forward for attachments coming from specific senders if you like. This way you will often receive the converted file at the same time as the original email. Visit the site for further details.
I hope this post may save others the frustration I've endured over the last few weeks looking for a solution.
I'm interested in future improvements people are keen to see for the site. I'll keep developing the functionality if there's a need. I look forward to receiving comments and feedback.
    Thanks

Sounds perfect - is it operational? Sent a test message this morning, never received the PDF.

  • Attach PDF file to Service notification

    Hi Everyone,
Can somebody tell me how I can attach PDF file from local folder into the attachment list in the service notification(tcode IW52) ?
Also how i can get the list of documents attached to the  service notification ?
I should attach the file from module pool program(from custom transaction).
Is there any FM or some class methods that can make the attachment ?
    Thanks,
    Dime Slavkov

    1. Make your pdf files readily available on your PC desktop.
    2. Go to IW52, Click on GOS icon, Create... --> Create Attachment.
You will get a file select Dialog box, refer to your desktop file and attach. You can attach number of files this way. If you want to see the files you've attached, click on the Attachment list shown below Create.. in the above picture. You will get the list of all files attached. You can choose anyone and view.

  • Why did Acrobat Pro X slow down attaching pdfs in Outlook 2003?

I've unfortunately joined the club of slooooow attaching pdfs to Outlook 2003 after installing Acrobat Pro X.
I can send any attachment other than a pdf to Outlook 2003 and it sends instantly/normally. Since installing Acrobat Pro X 10.1.0 there's an instant lag as soon as I click the pdf to attach it. Outlook appears to freeze for several minutes and during this time I can work in other programs. Then all of a sudden, everything is normal and I can send the email, with pdf attached like normal.
I'm running Windows XP, Service pack 3 and everything else in the 5.5 suite is working fine.
There was some discussion in the Reader forum regarding the subject but I wasn't sure if the fixes described would apply to the full Acrobat program.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

  • Unable to attach PDF to email (Outlook for Mac 2011)

We are pushing out software upgrades for CS5 and MS Office 2011 for Mac. We've discoverd that we can't use the Attach to email feature in Acrobat. The spinning rainbow wheel pops up for about a minute, and then Acrobat is non-responsive and we have to force quit. We can still drag and drop an attachment so we have a viable workaround but obviously we'd like to be able to use the automated feature.
    All software is up-to-date.
In the preferences panel of Outlook, we have selected Outlook to be the default mail application.
As a sidenote, this feature doesn't work with Acobat X beta either. However, in the beta version of Acrobat X, if we declare Apple's mail application to be the default, it works fine. Unfortunately we use the Office suite as part of our enterprise system, so that's what we need to work with.
Has anyone else experienced this? I've logged a ticket with Adobe but I haven't heard back from them yet.
    Thanks for any advise.

    Take the bhama way
figured out how to make it work.  I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro (mac)
and MS Outlook for Mac 2011.
For those who are interested, this is what I did:
    1. Create a folder on desktop to save your pdf¹s files you want to email
to.  Mine is named, "PDF to Email"
    2. Open Automator, create a "Folder Action"
    3. At the top, "Choose Folder", choose your newly created folder on the
    desktop
    4. Choose the "Rename Finder Items" action from the action list.  I chose,
"Don¹t Add" on the add a Copy Finder Items Action menu.
    5. On the "Add Date or Time to Finder Item Names" I chose, "Name Single
Item" from the first drop down menu.
    6. Click on "Options" at the bottom of that window to select the "Show
this action when the workflow runs" so you can rename your         file
something other than the Acrobat default.
    7. Choose the "Create New Outlook Mail Message" from the action list and
add it below the "Name Single Item in Finder Item Names"
    8. Choose "File>Save As" and give your file a name.  Mine is, "PDF to
    Email".
    9. Close Automator
    10. Open Acrobat X Pro.
    11. Go to "File>Action Wizard>Create New Action"
    12. Here you choose, "Save to>A Folder on my computer"
    13. Choose the folder on the desktop that we saved earlier
    14. Save the file, with the action name you will remember.
Now when you are in Acrobat X Pro and you want to send that .pdf file via
Outlook for Mac 2011, follow the steps below.
With the file you want to email open, go to "File>Action Wizard>(Action
you created) Mine is "PDF to Email".  It will take a few seconds, but you
will get an "Action Completed".  You will get a pop up that allows you to
name/rename the file. Then it should open your Outlook with your .pdf
    attached and ready for sending.
You might need to tweak the actions to suit your needs, but this should
    work for you.

  • MIGO- DISPLAY GR - ATTACH PDF DOCUMENTS USING DMS.

    Dear SAP Experts,
We have requirement of attaching the PDF document to material document using DMS. So that in future if we see the GR in MIGO, we can view that PDF. Also we don't want deletion of this PDF once attached to material document.
We found that in DMS attachement facility to material document is not available. In Purchase order screen ME22N we can see the DMS document button, but in MIGO this DMS attchment Icon is not there. Service for object facility is available but we don't want this facility.
Please suggest how to achieve this.

    Hi,
Use archivelink for attaching documents to MIGO . The documents attached to MIGO can be displayed by opening the respective Material documents.
As far as deletion is concerned you can make use of the authorization objects in Archivelink to achieve this.
    Regards

  • How can I download and view a pdf with iphone?

How can I download and view a pdf with iphone?

If the PDF is an email attachment, you can view it by tapping on the attachment icon while you are viewing the email message. Another option is to set up a dropbox account and then use a computer to drop the PDF into your account. Install the iOS dropbox app and you can view PDFs there that way.

  • How to Make Link Open an Attached PDF?

I see in "Link Properties" and "Actions" that there is an option to "Open a file"; but when I select this, and click "Add"--I am not given the opportunity to link to the other PDF file that is already attached to the PDF file that I'm working on.
I know this can be done, just don't see how right now.
    Thanks.

Have the Attachments pane open so that you can see the attached PDF(s).
Using Acrobat's Link tool lay down the link annotation (the 'box' you create) over the text string of interest.
In the Create Link dialog use "Go to a page view".
    Click "Next".
The "Create Go to View" dialog presents itself.
Leave it for the time being.
Go to the open Attachments pane. Select the desired PDF. Right click and select "Open Attachment".
Back to the "Create Go to View". Now, click "Set Link".
The "Create Go to View" dialog removes itself.
You're now observing the PDF that has the attached PDF(s).
Note that the PDF to which you linked is also still open.
This will be the case for each attached PDF you link to.
So, as part of the clean up ---
Do a Save As to the PDF having the attached PDFs.
    Close the other PDFs.
    Good to know.
The default for the link(s) will open the target, attached PDF while closing the "source" PDF that contains the attached PDF(s).
You can edit each link in the "source" PDF to configure "Open in" --
--| Window set by user preference
    --| New window
    --| Existing window
Open a link's properties. Select the Actions tab. Click the Edit button that is under the Actions 'window'.
    Be well...

  • Viewing edit PDF file on IPAD

I added text to a pdf file, save the file and then sent it as an email attachment. I opened up the email via the IPAD but when I opened up the attached PDF, none of my added text shows up. Note: the added text does show up with I open up the same file on the PC but not on the IPAD. How can I view the same file on my IPAD that I can view on my PC?

Try downloading the Adobe Reader app, it might work better than the default program:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/adobe-reader/id469337564?mt=8
If that doesn't work you might want to try GoodReader, which is pretty much my go-to app for PDF management:

  • Reviewing attached PDF before sending email

    Hello,
I use the email option within Acrobat Reader to generate an email in Outlook Express with the active PDF-file as an attachment.
Then I fill out the recipients etc. and write the text of the email.
At this point, just before sending, I would like to review the PDF-file, just to make sure everything is "in sync" with the content of my email message, but this is not possible.
Nothing happens when I double-click the attachment and I can't go back to Acrobat Reader to scroll through the PDF-file there - Acrobat Reader is "locked" as long as the email window is open.
When I do not use the email function within Acrobat Reader, but attach the PDF-file from within Outlook Express itself, I can open the PDF-file and view it without problems prior to sending.
Is there any way of viewing the attached PDF-file before sending the email when using the email button from within Acrobat Reader?
