I agree with Sandeep -- The only option is editing the ldt file after the download and before you upload it.

You cannot do the request group assignment as part of loading the concurrent program with FNDLOAD. However, afcpreqg.lct looks as though it can download a Request Group Unit with something like (not that I have used this):
FNDLOAD <USERID/PASSWORD> 0 Y DOWNLOAD @fnd:patch/115/import/afcpreqg.lct <output file>.ldt REQUEST_GROUP_UNIT APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME=<RG's APP> REQUEST_GROUP_NAME=<RG's NAME> UNIT_NAME=<CP's SHORT NAME>
A bit of pain if you need to download a number of Request Group assignments for a Concurrent Program, but possible all the same, by the look of it.

Submit Program "Compile value set hierarchies" manually

We am trying to submit the program "Compile value set hierarchies" manullay through the API , apps.fnd_flex_val_api.submit_vset_hierarchy_compiler, without any success.
Through the API, the program is submitted however it goes into "Pending" and "Stand By" mode, worse thing is we cannot view this through the front end (EBS).
Program "Compile value set hierarchies" has a method type of Immediate we cannot sub,it this through the EBS Form manually.
Is there anything I am missing with the above.
Also, any suggestions to submit the progarm ""Compile value set hierarchies" manually will be greatly appreciated.

Call a host script from concurrent program without exposing APPS password?

My understanding is as of now I need to link $FND_TOP/bin/fndcpesr in order to launch a unix script as concurrent program. This implies that there will be 4 standard input parameters when a certain unix script is called including oracle schema and password. As I see it now APPS password is provided to such scripts.
Is there a way to execute a unix script from under 11i without exposing APPS password?

Protecting Your Oracle User Password
In some cases, there are security concerns with passing your Oracle username and
password directly to your HOST program. If you do not want the concurrent manager
to pass your username/password to your program, you can have the manager pass it as
an environment variable instead. Or you can pass an Oracle Applications
username/password for a user with the System Administrator responsibility.
Alternatively, you can not pass it at all.
First, define your concurrent program executable as a HOST program in the Concurrent
Program Executable form.
To have the username/password passed as an environment variable, enter the term
'ENCRYPT' in the Execution Options field of the Concurrent Programs window when
defining a concurrent program using this executable. 'ENCRYPT' signals the concurrent
manager to pass the username/password in the environment variable fcp_login. The
argument $1 is left blank.
If you do not want the username/password passed to the program at all, enter
+'SECURE' in the Execution Options field. The concurrent manager will not pass the+
username/password to the program.

Table Value Set Definition - Fetch Error

I am trying to use a TABLE Validated Value Set based on the value set used in the Accounting Key Flexfield using the following query. When you run the test button in the DFF Table definition, it says that it is succesfully tested.

But when I go to the Oracle form to the respective DFF, it throws the below long error.
APP-FND-01564: ORACLE error 24345 in fdlget
Cause: fdlget failed due to ORA-24345: A Truncation or null fetch error occurred.
The SQL statement being executed at the time of the error was: SELECT FLEX_VALUE, FLEX_VALUE VALUE, DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION, NVL('N','N'), NVL(TO_NUMBER(NULL),-1), NULL, NVL('Y','Y')
Can anybody help me, how to get this resolved.

R12 problem - check the definition of your value set being used. If it is defined as List type "List of Values", then try changing to "Long List of Values". Save and try again. If you don't get the error again, then you probably have a column in the value set that is shorter than the defined table size. For example, description is 50 characters long in the value set, but the table column is 240 characters. If you have data that is longer than 50 characters, you will get this error. But if you change the List type to "Long List of Values", it won't throw the error. I've been trying to get Oracle to figure out the problem, but they just want us to increase the size of the value sets.

I created value set with validation type as table. I gave table name as pay_us_states meaning I gave as distinct state_abbrev. I got below error

how to get distinct rows from table?

When defining a value set, you need to provide the table name and the column names in the drop down lists of the "define value set" form. The only free form entry is the WHERE clause. Take a look at the definition of seeded value set PAY_US_STATE_CODES. You will need to remove the ROWNUM qualifier.

I have bought lightroom 4 and adobe creative suite 6 design standard on cd´s.
Now got a new mac book pro without a cd-drive. How do i Install the programs on my new computer.

You can copy installer on some other computer take it to this computer in a Flash Drive/ USB Pen Drive

Can't download new program without bluetooth connection but I'm on dsl

Everytime I try to open up a new program in my applications folder my mac tries to connect to bluetooth but I'm on dsl and I can't figure out how to connect to the internet with the options it's giving me. I've gone into my preferences and made sure that my connections are ok so what am I missing??? Somebody please help.

It sounds like your programs are looking for info on the internet.. could be just looking for/checking for updates.. nothing wrong with that.
You say your on DSL, but when this happens are you connected to the network? If you are, I can't think of a reason why you would be prompted for a Bluetooth connection.
And the other posted is correct.. if you move your Ethernet/Dsl connection to the top of the list it should prompt you to do something with your DSL connection.

FNDLOAD doesnt modify concurrent program definition

Hi Here is what I do.
Using FNDLOAD to move concurrent programs from Development to UAT instance. Here are steps to recreate
1.) Use FNDLOAD to DOWNLOAD concurrent program definition from development instance.
FNDLOAD apps/apps@instance 0 Y DOWNLOAD $FND_TOP/patch/115/import/afcpprog.lct PROGRAM_XXXX.ldt PROGRAM APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME="XXAPP" CONCURRENT_PROGRAM_NAME="XXPROGRAM"
2.) Use FNDLOAD to UPLOAD concurrent program definition to UAT instance. ( Brand new concurrent program)
FNDLOAD apps/apps@instance 0 Y UPLOAD $FND_TOP/12.0.0/patch/115/import/afcpprog.lct PROGRAM_XXXX.ldt
3.) Everything work fine, concurrent program gets migrated to UAT instance when moved first time.
4.) Make change to concurrent program in Development instance, change like add new parameters or modify existing parameters.
5.) Use same cammand as in step 1 to download the cocnurrent program definition again.
6.) Use same commanad as in step 2 to upload the concurrent program definition. The command workd fine and there are no errors but the changes made to the concurrent programs are not reflected in UAT instance.
I verified the LDT file was correct, newly created parameters were present in the new ldt file.

lev12d is the test instance.
I meant if I use the ldt file to load in same instance where it was downloaded from, it works. Only when ldt from test instance is taken to UAT instance for loading, it doesn't work.
1.) lev12d istance - program with 5 parameters, fndload to creat ldt i.e. ldt has 5 params.
2.) lev12d instance - Delete two parameters and save - only 3 params left in lev12d instance conc program definition.
3.) Use ldt created in step 1 to load the parameters, it works, after FNDLOAD UPLOAD conc prog in lev12d has 5 params in application.
Same ldt created in step 1 ( with 5 params) when moved to UAT instance where conc prog has 3 params, after FNDLOAD UPLOAD the conc prog still has 3 params, it did not add new parameters.
Let me know if it makes sense, any help or direction is highly appreciated.

FNDLOAD CONCURRENT PROGRAM INCOMPATABILITY NOT DELETED

We have tight control on migrating object changes from one environment to another. We have to use FNDLOAD for migrating the Concurrent Program changes using FNDLOAD. We have concurrent program with 3+ incompatible programs, due to business requirement, we need to update the concurrent program definition to just have one incompatibility. We update the change in Development environment with just one incompatible program in it definition and trying to migrate to other environment. The FNDLOAD is not deleting the incompatible list even after using the CUSTOM_MODE=FORCE.
Command used
FNDLOAD apps/apps 0 Y UPLOAD $FND_TOP/patch/115/import/afcpprog.lct $XXPRUGL_TOP/data/PFI/extract/RECONTRCASHBI1.ldt - WARNINGS=TRUE CUSTOM_MODE=FORCE
afcpprog.lct

This happen even after bouncing the concurrent manager. Please advice

We have concurrent program with 3+ incompatible programs, due to business requirement, we need to update the concurrent program definition to just have one incompatibility.Do you mean it is already defined in the target instance and you want to update the definition of this concurrent program using FNDLOAD? If yes, have you tried to use "UPLOAD_MODE=REPLACE" option?
If this still does not help, then I believe you have to do it manually from the application by deleting the other two incompatibilities.

Error while downloading responsibilities using fndload command

I am using fndload command to download responsibilities. i have given parameters as RESP_NAME, But its downloading all the responsibilities instead of one.
See the below command. Is there any problem in syntax.

Does anyone know of a way I can download this program without changing firefox?

How to implement node affinity for java type concurrent programs.

How to run a concurrent program against a specific RAC instance with PCP/RAC setup? (Doc ID 1129203.1)
This works for non java registered concurrent programs but not java registered with use the DBC file
EBS RAC environment with two RAC nodes. We would like to implement node affinity to allow concurrent programs to be directed to a single RAC instance. Oracle have provided the NODE AFFINITY ability via the concurrent program definition in Session Control. This then uses the entry in the 10.1.2 tnsnames.ora to pass the request directly through to the instance as defined by Node Affinity.
However, concurrent programs defined as type java do not access the database by the 10.1.2 tnsnames.ora but use the dbc file under $FND_SECURE. This file is configured for both self service and concurrent processing so any change to the dbc file entry will affect both self service and concurrent processing.
How to we implement a node affinity solution for concurrent programs without affecting Self Service conncetions? We'd like the dbc file to directly connect java concurrernt programs through to one instance but the self service connections to use the SERVICE name only.

Setting arraysize for concurrent programs which does huge select

Hi All,
E Buzz : 11.5.10.2
Database : 10.2.0.4
We have performance issues in few of the concurrent programs which does select on big tables, is there a possible way to set/increase the arraysize for the concurrent program.
Through sqlplus, before running the select statement we are setting as " set arraysize 5000" which is reducing the run time of the select by 10 times.
Please advice if there are any such options to increase the arraysize for the concurrent programs without modifying the code.
