Follow-up Activities in Case Management using Actions

Hi Gurus,
I am configuring the case Management, On save of the case document I would like to create the Activities automatically and assign it to various departments who are responsible. One way of doing this uisng Actions. I have created a Z* Action profile and assigned object as BUS20900 and context class as CL_SCMG_CASE_CONTEXT_PPF. I am not able to find the right method to create the Activities, could you please help me.

Thank you very much for quick response. I have used method called APPOINTMENT_OFFER and LEAS_NOTIF_01 I am getting the following exception. I have also tried with some other methods they also giving same exception.
Exception Details
CX_SY_MOVE_CAST_ERROR - Source type \CLASS=/CRMS/CL_CRM_CMG_PPF is not compatible, for the purposes of assignment, with target type
Method: CL_ACTION_EXECUTE=>GET_REF_OBJECT

    Hi Nick, Thanks for your answer. I've read the "Case Management Essentials" document located on the EDQ product page at OTN. In fact, this is the document in which was based my understanding of the tool. After search a lot for documentation, tutorials or any guidance to configure this feature, I was reading the online help as you say, but I found it some hard to understand. But I will continue using that resource, if I dont find any other material.
    Can you tell me what kind of actions can perform an end user over alerts and cases in this tool?, I need to know if it is posible to do manual merge or any kind of manipulation of the data who raise the alert. Because in the available examples I only see users change the status of the alert/case, but only that.

  • Sending an email using action in complaint transaction

    Hi,
    I am using complaint transaction. I want to send an email to employee responsible. Initially I create and save the complaint transaction. After saving it, i open the transaction again and change the employee responsible at that time the email should go to new employee responsible.

    You can use action defintions to send emails to your employee responsible.
    for that pls check action profile 'Order_Messages' and within this, action definition
    'ORDER_CONFIRMATION'.
    Check in there. Partner funtion is assigned to it, in second level customizing and smart form to be mailed in third level customizing.
    Prerequisite: emails should be maintained in BP master.
    For your requirement you can  do following settings:
    In second level customizing(i.e. selecting the action definition and double click on the same)
    Enter the partner funtion of Emp. responsible. in 'Partner Determination for the Action' Details. and check 'Partner Dependent'.
    Secondly, in details for 'Action Determination and Action Merging' in 'Action Merging' details select 'Max. 1 Unprocessed Action for Each Action Definition.
    Save the settings.
    Schedule the actions using action scheduling.

  • Case Management ... Statuses not getting changed

    Dear All,
    I am working in a Development system of SAP CRM 2007.
    Now I have created a case which has 3 or more complaints attached...
    When I change the status of the case, the complaints in the case have statuses that doesn`t get changed.

    Hi,
    In CaseManagement, before creation of Case first you need to create a CaseType.
    First you need to create Status Profile, Attribute Profile etc.,
    After that in CaseType creation you need to select the profiles created by you.
    Then in Case created by you these gets reflected.
    When a new Case is Created automatically it will be in New Status mode.
    After when you attach the related documents(Linked Objects) and Notes then you need to change the Status.
    After that you need to attach the Processors for the corresponding Case Sequentially or Parallely and then save the case changing its status to In Process.
    Once the Case is saved you cant make any changes to the case.
    After the ProcessRoute triggers a workflow and Case status changes to Complete or whatever status you mention there.
    Follow the steps in Case Management Registry.

    i've tried using actions with and without conditions in Activities / Service orders and it works perfectly, the problem iam facing is in case management, give me any standard profile that works with cases....your help is highly appreciated

    I have already tried using these standard action profiles but they dont seem to work as well as maybe they were created for a different record model.
    Anyways, does anyone have any idea of how to make the Actions tab page appear in cases? The tab is available in the Portal (EP 7) but not in the SAP GUI.

    Hi,
    Can you try the following BAPI - BAPI_CRMCASE_CREATE from the Function Group - CRM_CMG_BAPI. I guess this will at least give you some idea as to how to proceed. Also, have a look at the Function Module documentation which will give you an idea of the sample code.
    You can also have a look at the following Class Method - cl_crm_cmg_manager=>create_case. I found this in CL_CRM_CMG_IL which is the SAP CRM 6.0 Genil Component Class.

    if I understand you, then you have a simple validation. Therefore you can use the validation functionality of VC for your components. An alternative could be by writing a new ABAP RFC function module like:
    BAPI Input parameters as input and BAPI output parameters as output and an additional return code or string for a message:
    IF I_FIELD IS INITIAL.
      E_RETURN_CODE = "THE FIELD IS EMPTY."
    ELSE.
      CALL FUNCTION <YOUR_BAPI>
      <BAPI PARAMETERS>
    ENDIF.

  • Problem in actions triggering for Case Management

    Dear all,
    I am strugling to define an action for case creation.
    I am using smartform as processing type.
    but when I execute and save the transaction (Case), E-mail action is not getting generated.
    Processing status is showing as 'Incorrect' in the Case transaction.
    In actions monitor transaction system showing the problem is in 'Processing class' and Processing method as shown below.
    "Dynamic calling of method COPY_1_OF_EXEC_SMART_FORM in class CL_SAMPLE_PROCESSING_CLASS_PPF contained errors"
    I am not aware of what processing class and processing method to use.
    Kindly help me to resolve the issue.

    I think I am using the same method. the follwing seeting have been maintained for that action.
    Form name - SCMG_SMART_FORM_CASE
    Processing Class - CL_SAMPLE_PROCESSING_CLASS_PPF
    Processing Method - COPY_1_OF_EXEC_SMART_FORM
    Archive Mode - 1 Mail Only.
    Still the problem exist.
    Please help me resolve this issue.

    hello, when this is happening after you've already updated firefox with your admin account, try to delete the ''updates'' folder and ''active-update.xml & updates.xml'' within the %localappdata% folder of your restricted account like it is described in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update#Software_Update_not_working_properly

  • How to create a Sub case in Adaptive case management.

    Can you please provide an example or more info about creating a sub case in Adaptive case management.
    Documentation says
    "Sub cases are deployed as a separate composite from the parent case project. They are linked to the parent using the case link mechanism. The sub case composite version is always the active version of the parent composite". This is exactly what I want.
    I created a Sub Case following the steps mention in the documentation. It created it under the case activities. I want to know how to link it to a process or composite. In the advance section it specifies a project name and case name. How do I link it? Please help me with an example on how to create sub case.

    On the Case UI within BPM workspace there should be a place to link cases.
    Also have you looked at the following API ICaseInstanceService (Oracle Fusion Middleware BPM-Services Java API Reference for Oracle BPM Suite)

    I am working on migrating an old PCUI applications to the new web client under CRM 6.0 /2007. Our applications developed using CRM Case Management. Since,  Case Management does not support partner determination we had to code this using a BADI (to manually inserting a business partner to the case). However, after migrating to the new interface CRM Web Client, this BADI is not called at all. How can I programmaticly insert a specific Business partner to a case.
    The codes used under PCUI was like this

    1. Does Oracle Case Management solution supports De Dup check for suctomer data ?
    ------Duplicate SR check can be implemented in Service Request module (i.e. Form Based Module) based on item/instance/customer using profiles/setup (Check Teleservice implementation guide - 'Setting Up Duplicate Checking'). It cannot be implemented in Case Management module.
    2. In case management can we create another case from case work item screen ?
    ------There iss no out of the box solution given by oracle to create a new cae from existing case. However customiztion can be done for this which will call 'case creation API' to generate a new case.
    3. Can we customize case management screens ?
    -------OAF personalization can be used to personalize case management screens as per business requirement. Refer 'OAF personalization guide_R12' for this.

  • Case Management - Arrays as case data

    I have a Case Management project where I would like to have an array of people on the case as case data. My thought is, that the way to do it is to model a Business Object "People" which has a list of "Person" Business Objects. Then I can add the "People" object as case data.
    But what happens if I have two different case activities (or two instances of the same activity) which adds a person to the "People" object and saves as case data? I'm not sure what best practice is in this scenario. Should I make a sevice call in the BPM process where a service executes some custom java code to interact with the Case Management API and manipulate the data?

    please try the following - I just checked it:
    1) Create your composite with case and caserule
    2) Create a HumanTask (e.g. HumanTask1) with input / output => e.g. parameter1 & parameter2
    3) Promote the task as CaseActivity.
    4) Open the Business Rule associated with the case. Go to Facts and create a new XML Fact based on the generated HumanTask1Payload.xsd (it contains the booleans that you defined for the HumanTask). Press OK.
    5) From now on you can use the fact in your rule. For example in the condition type HumanTask1PayloadType and select the appropriate parameter.
    Please let me know if it works for you.

  • Upgrade to 4.0 - asking for 'follow-up activities for middleware'?!??!!

    My upgrade from 3.1 to 4.0 has been going smoothly up to now.
    It stopped in phase REQ_BBWPCRM now asking me to perform the actions in the chapter 'Follow-up activities for the Middleware' in the documentation 'Upgrade Guide - CRM 5.0'.
    No mention of this is made in the Solution Manager 4.0 upgrade guide. I had a look at the CRM upgrade guide and those steps have nothing to do at all with Solution Manager and seem very CRM specific.
    Anyone has any advice on what to do at this point?
    I am tempted to just ignore this and to say Continue in the Upgrade Assistant, but I dont want to miss something important and then have to restore.
