For all of us developing on Flash Pro 5.5 - watch out for the deployment type - performance varies

hey
for everyone who uses Flash Pro for mobile development please take notice that there is a big difference in the way you deploy your app
on iOS, "Deployment - Apple App Store" gives a much better performance than the quick publishing
on Android, publishing to an APK file and installing that file with some method (like dropbox) gives better performance than testing or debugging the FLA straight through USB
so don't end up fighting performance issues that are actually not there, like i did

Yes, If you build the ipa appStore target with your development mobileprovision and certificate. You can install it on your device, but obviously you cant debug such ipa. For uploading on AppStore you build ipa appStore target with distribution certi and provision which you cant install on device (untill you build ipa-ad-hoc as colin suggested above which requires a third kind of certi and provisions )
One more tip:
Make sure you generate a release swf for the final version of the app (be it iOS, Android or Desktop app). It is very small in size and have optimized actionsctipt bytecode than debug version.

Well, I kinda figured that was true, so I disabled it. Firefox does not lock up now. I suspect it might be a Google Finance page graph that is causing the problem, rather that Flash. Thanks for all your help. J

SQL Developer 4.0
I added .sql and .ldr as file types via Tools > Preferences > File Types.
When I try to open the export.sql file in SQL Developer using the "Import Data" option I get the message:
There are no readers registered for the sql type.
I can open the file with SQL Server Management Studio and see all of the insert statements that i would expect to see.
When I created the export.sql file using the Export Wizard with "Format: insert" I received a message:
"export.sql was not opened because it exceeds the maximum automatic open size."
Can this limit be changed?

The import data dialog is for taking a CSV/XLS/TXT type file.
If you used the Export Wizard, you can now just run that file in the worksheet.

There are no readers registered for the txt type - Issue importing txt file

Hello guys,
I am working on SQL developer 3.2. and Oracle database 11g. I am trying to import a txt file with only two columns and 100 rows separated with a pipe. I can import the same file if its in *.CSV or *.xls format. I right click on the table > Import table > Choose the *.txt file > and then I get a message "There are no readers registered for the txt type". Why? Where do I get the reader? I am using the same exact method and the same exact data to import using a different file format and I do not get any errors. The wizard comes up and I am ready to load. I have scoured through this forum for a solution and I could not find one. Any help is very much appreciated.

It means we don't support that file type for doing imports. It sounds like a reasonable request to [add to the Exchange|sqldeveloper.oracle.com] though.

Tax value is not picked up correctly for the condition type in SO creation

I have a issue in Picking up Tax value correctly for the condition type in SO Creation.
Actual Issue:
When creating the sales order manually,
tax value is picked up correctly for one condition type: ISS3.
When the Sales Order is created via Idoc using the function module 'idoc_input_orders', tax value is not picked for same condition type: ISS3.
We need to find out why the value for the condition type 'ISS3' is not picked in this way!
Can anybody solve this issue!
What can be the reason which is stopping picking up tax value for condition type: ISS3 when Sales Order is created via F.M 'IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS'! While it picked up the same while creating Sales Order manuallly.

Working:

I have debugged the issue from WE19 but upto Conditions tab it is picking up tax value but then it is becoming zero again it remains zero after saving SO.
But Manually tax value is picked up for condition type ISS3 and remains same after saving order.
I have debugged it several times fro WE19 but not able to find route cause for the issue.
What can be the issue over here!

The meta data for the IDoc type "MATMAS05" is unavailable

Dear Gurus:
I need help in completing small test that I am doing to send MATMAS IDOC to xMII.
I have done:
1.     RFC connection SM69 and tested ok
2.             xMII IDOC Listner config with my SAP client
3.     Connection appears in smgw ok (in logon client screen)
4.     Completed Distribution channel and we20,we21
All above looks in place when I send one IDOC (BD10) it remains in 03 even after I run RBDMOIND. Besides IDOC is not appearing in C:\Lighthammer\JCO\Output.
On tRFC I see error The meta data for the IDoc type "MATMAS05" is unavailable.
Note that
a) I am NOT using transaction on routing tab
b) xMII version 11.5
c) I used "How to send IDOC ...." Version 2 PDF that is available on web (thanks to Bimal)
d) I looked at other two posts which has to do with LOIPRO message type and with JCO issue

To wrap this thread up; I have had an answer on stack overflow.
It appears that currently the grant type client_credentials is not supported, according to a comment on this blog post by Matthias' http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2014/03/25/using-oauth2-to-access-calendar-contact-and-mail-api-in-exchange-online-in-office-365.aspx
"There is no way in the code flow to avoid username/password. We're working on a client credential flow for later this fall that will give you the functionality required to run background services. For this you will not need a username/password,
but the application will directly assert its identity and authenticate as itself."
Unfortunately I require client_credentials for a daemon process, Q4 is the scheduled release for support for this grant time.

First, what you said is contradictory. You say "can't get a video signal", then say"the Mac wallpaper is broadcast, the mouse pointer is visible". "No video signal" means an absolutely black,blank screen. It sounds like you have plenty of signal.
I am supposing what you are seeing is actually a blank desktop, which is to be expected if your settings are such that you are extending the desktop, instead of mirroring it.
Within the preference panes is a setting that allows you to change this. Open System Preferences, click Displays, and then click Arrangement. You will see that you are extending the desktop. Change that setting.

Apple ID for the Deployment Program and VPP is the same

I created an Apple ID for the Deployment Program and authorized the same ID for VPP. Now I learned these should be different. Is this a problem and if so, how can the VPP ID be changed?

You should be able to. The only hiccup will be that any apps that you have purchased with the older ID you will have to repurchase with the newer ID to be able to keep using them.
Though of course this actually depends on how you plan to use the IDs. For example, I had an Apple ID through iTunes a few years before I opened a .Mac/MobileMe account (what iCloud is now in case you are new to Apple). Thus, my iPhone and iPad actually have two IDs on them, one for iTunes/App Store, and one for anything associated with iCloud. I've never really had any problems assoctiated with having two IDs on one device. Usually just an extra step when I get a new device or have to restore either of them for some reason. Though I understand that this is probably not what you plan on doing, I thought I would use it as an example of what the IDs are really associted with on the devices.

In sales order for the condition type MWST, *Tax code* is displaying wrongly at header level i.e. FF instead of AO (under account determination tab)
AO tax is 0% but for FF it is 19%
I have checked with the Access sequence it is picking access 08 correctly according to this it should show AO in tax code field for MWST but it is not so..
There is a manual change for tax classification for material master in va02 initially it was blank now it is changed to ' 0 ' is any way influencing....?
Even if I consider material tax classification and customer tax code should not be FF because tax code FF is not maintained for the combination of access sequences for condition type MWST
Please help me.

Definitely material Tax classification will influence to determine the Tax code.
-->So Make sure that customer and material master having proper tax classification indicator.
-->Have you Update the price after changing the tax classification in the sales order.by going to item dat -->condition tab then click on Update push button bottom of the conditions screen.
-->Once again the check the condition record maintanence also for your MWST access sequence.

If you have NWDI in place CTS would help in this, else you can deploy your application using sdm.
in CE you can deploy the application from NWDS.

I've got a clob column. Reports seems to recognize its type, but if I try to reference it in a format trigger, I get this error at compile time:
"No pl/sql translation for the blind type given for this bind variable"

Actually, Reports is in something better than Forms.
Neither Forms nor Reports do not have "complete" SQL engine (both have only "complete" PL/SQL engine), but have their own SQL parser, which does not understand SQL commands after the database 8.0.
But, in Reports Data Model - SQL Query Statement, we can write "modern" SQL statement (> database 8.0), because Reports sent it directly to the database, without using their own SQL parser.
For example, in Reports Data Model - SQL Query Statement, we can write this (scalar subquery expressions, in bold):
select empno,
       ename,
       deptno,
       (select dname from dept where deptno = emp.deptno) dname
from emp
order by empno;
although scalar subquery expressions was introduced in the database 9.0.1, and in databases 8.0 and 8.1 we should write someting like this:
select emp.empno,
       emp.ename,
       emp.deptno,
       dept.dname
from emp,
       dept
where dept.deptno = emp.deptno
order by empno;
