Just received an email from the business dept. saying that I am no longer entitled to my employee discount because I have retired. I was told in one of the stores that retirees did still get the discount. I received an email asking me to update my employment status. Anyone out there that has receive this email also...BEWARE......... you too will be losing your discount soon. If you upgrade or extend your contract, you will also be screwed for two more years. My contract is up next July..... Time to check and see if Sprint still offers discount to retirees. Bigger discount anyway. Just one more example of a big company sucking every penny out of us they can. I am now on a smaller fixed income and my bill is going up 20% Thanks a lot.................

I am not saying the email is not genuine but make sure it is before you click on any links or give out any account details.

The link that appears in the copy in the OP does not go to an Apple site, it is something to the effect of newitunes.com, whereas the text tells you it is an Apple support document.
However, if you take the text of the support document listed, I put it in my browser and it does lead to a legit Apple Support document about coverting. Convert your AOL Username to an Apple ID - Apple Support Seems this needs to be done by March 31, 2015, as AOL will no longer allow users to use their AOL identification.

Make sure the mini-displayport/TB plug is fully seated. It may look fully plugged in but isn't.
Make sure the Displays system preferences has an Arrangement tab. No Arrangement means the monitor is not being detected.
Do a smc reset.
If none of this works I suggest you take it back to apple (along with your mini).

Veterans are no longer getting a discount

I am very disappointed to find out that US Veterans are no longer getting a discount on our service plans. I can not believe that this is just another company who is no longer helping their veterans.

The point is BEYOND the "employee" part of the discount. The discount should be extended for years of loyalty. For telling friends and coworkers about Verizon and what a great company it is and give a wholehearted personal recommendation. Word of mouth recommendations are worth far more to me that a company ad on TV. I expect it's that way for most people. But that won't happen if the company ignores the loyalty of it's customers and treats them in such a shabby fashion.

For no apparent reason I can no longer get my email icon to work. All I get is a completely blank screen.

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Mail will no longer get yahoo mail

Mail was working great with yahoo mail plus, now it quit May 24. I seem to be able to send, but it won't retrieve my mail anymore. I've checked the settings and they are the same they always were. Went to yahoo and can't find any help. Is this happening to anyone else.

Need to change email address for all users / employees and their supplier

Our organisation is going through some infrastructure changes and all employees email addresses will be changing throughout the department in the next few weeks.
Is there a supported method to update the FND_USER.email_address, PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F.email_address and Employee Supplier email address within our Oracle system to the employees new email address
Would you be able to provide a solution or recommend a datafix (SQL Update script)?

we as a company consider to use the iPhone instead of the Blackberrys for business telecommunication.
I, personally, use the iPhone privatly. I have my account and download the Apps I need.
But how can a company like ours manage this? Is there a possiility to install an account for the company with one Apple-ID? Are the employees allowed to install the mandatory Apps. by using this account? Or should the company install everything centrally by MDM e.g.?
How about licensing?

Looking for help - PSE 5 catalog will no longer open

I have PSE 5 on a Windows XP system. For some reason I can no longer open the catalog - I receive a pop window that states "The action you have requested could not be completed because the application is not responding. It may still be loading or waiting for a response from you." I rebooted the computer but it didn't help. Any suggestions?

Also, if I try to open the catalog from the Editor I get a pop labeled "PhtoshopElementsOrganizer - Unable to Locate Component" followed by the message: "This application has failed to start because DetectionUtils.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I have tried reinstalling PSE 5 yet for fear that I might mess up my catalog.

I hope you know about Daily work schedules and Period work schedules(PWS)
1. You will need to create a PWS like
NORM NORM NORM NORM NORM NORM OFF ( Only sunday off)
2. Create 12 fixed day public holidays using SCAL and inlcude them in holiday calendar. These holidays should have date as second saturday of every month and public holiday class say 9.
3. You will have to use DWS variant rules to replace NORM with OFF on these saturdays.
4. Also you will have to give appropriate day type to these second saturdays in day rules
