For reasons unknown to me, my iPhone suddenly started "speaking" all commands ....ie..."slide to unlock or doube tap." No applications work and it just keeps telling me to "double tap"....when I do, nothing happens....

If wjosten's tip doesn't work try plugging it into a USB charger (not through your computer), wait about 30 seconds and it should come on. If it doesn't remove the cord from the phone and keep trying this. I've had this same issue and found a combination of the reset & charging cable tends to work. Sometimes it takes about 5 minutes for the phone to respond.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

If you mean that the screen is frozen then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

After installing Mavericks my email isn't allowing me to draft a new message. I can see my messages, but cannot create a new message or reply to any messages. When I try nothing happens, then Mail freezes all together.

I was able to get into my Mail settings and everything looks ok as far as I can tell.

Do a backup.
Quit Mail.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail. Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
Restart, re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. You can then put the folder in the Trash. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

I forgot my admin password. Searched for answers but nothing helped. Using apple id to change the password hasn't helped either because nothing happens when i click where i should

plus i haven't enabled the "allow this user to recover password with apple ID" and the lock is locked.

If you want to solve your problems, unjailbreak. And don't do it again, because jailbreaking causes problems as you read about in that article. You can try Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

The Cloud by the song indicates that is is an iTunes purchase but it is not downloaded on the iPod. If you only want download iTunes purchases to show in the Music app go to Settings>itunes and pp Store and turn off Show aLL.

Skip the iCloud sign in for now.
Once you reach the home page, go to settings and sign out of FaceTime and Messages. This should also sign you out of iCloud.
Go to iCloud in settings and sign in with the correct Apple ID.
If that does not work
Skip the iCloud sign in
Go to Apple ID.apple.com and sign in
Change your Apple ID to the old one
Delete iCloud account on your device with the old Apple ID and the same password.
Go back to the website, change your Apple ID back to the current one. You will receive an email to verify the account. Verify first.
Sign into iCloud on your device with the correct Apple ID and password

Are you trying to set up your own iDevice and that is why you want your own Apple ID?
Do you realize that any content that you have already purchased using her ID will still have to be used if you want to update apps or download purchases again for free? ITunes and App Store content is tied to the ID used to make the purchase. Furthermore, if you use her ID to download a purchased app for free on your own device, you can lock yourself out of your ID for 90 days.
Back to the question at hand .... Did she use your email address as the rescue email address for her Apple ID?

Did you ever back up your phone on the computer?
Did you use photo stream at all?
May I suggest changing your passcode lock to a letters and numbers lock (if not all ready it will make your iphone more secure and a restore lock otion shouldent be needed). Then change your setting as well preventing restore after ten incorect passwords.

I also had this problem. I was unable to add a gmail account after a wipe and new install of ios 7. I went to gmail, found the 2-step verification page https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185839?rd=1 and once on my own 2-step verification page, went to the app-specific passwords tab. This allowed me to generate a password for mail on the phone. This password replaced the normal password that I use for the account. A lot of work, but it worked.

im trying to connect my iphone to itunes, and now it says it cant be detected. I synced some songs into it two nights ago,and now it wont work. i've been googling stuff for 2 hours and nothing helps. i've uninstalled and installed itunes, turned off my computer and back on. You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.
