For Sale Compact FieldPoint Modules

I purchased these modules for a project and didn't end up needing them. Your chance for a heck of a deal, they are on ebay but could make other arrangements for an early end to the auction or you could buy them on there... for way less than retail...

It is being split into three parts because there are three rosette strain gauges on each SG-140 module. Each rosette has three reading (each one reads in a different direction). Currently all each index array represents one rosette strain gauge. If I do not have to split into three index arrays, I will not. Can I use one index array to read all eight reading off one SG-140 module for three different strain gauges?
I am still not sure how to index by row and column to go from a 2-D array to a scalar element or shape the 2-D array to a 1-D array.
I reattached the project because I made one correction.

Logos for communication between Fieldpoint modules?

I have a system with two Fieldpoint network modules: one FP2000 and one FP1601. I am presently using datasocket calls using the lookout protocol for the FP2000 to read/write the I/O items on the FP1600. There is normally no PC connected to the two. Our NI salesperson visited today and told me that the recommended means of communication between Fieldpoint network modules is using Logos. He also mentioned using the "FieldPoint Publish Data" vi. I searched all the documentation I have and can't find anything on Logos, or any way to make any sense out of what he said. Can someone please tell me exactly what he meant and how I would implement it? I have LabView RT and FieldPoint Explorer, but no other software.

Logos is the name for the NI Ethernet Protocol. It was originally developed for networking of computers using Lookout. Using DataSocket with the Lookout URL specifier, is instructing the DataSocket client to use the logos protocol or lookout protocol (the terms are interchangeable). The FieldPoint Publish Data.vi is a VI that can be run on embedded targets (e.g. (c)FP-20xx series) that can be used to make data available via the NI Ethernet protocol. For example, if you measured two sensors and calculated a value from the two sensors, you could use the Publish Data.vi to make the calculation result available from the FP-2000.

I encountered an error similar to this when i was working with CD and SIM, I solved the problem by building the executable from the C: drive concluding that the file reference was too long.

Be sure to also disconnect all type definitions in Application Builder.

Can compact fieldpoint work together with regular fieldpoint?

I'm using regular FieldPoint modules with Labview 8.5 right now. I want to add new modules, can I choose compact FieldPoint moudles?

You'll have to get a new backplane and a new controller or network module. Compact Fieldpoint modules aren't physically compatible with the regular field point modules. So the new devices will show up as a new target in MAX. Beyond that, LabVIEW will be able to work with both just have in any application that would have multiple targets.

Are there any relay modules available for Compact Fieldpoint, and if not, what are the alternatives?

I'm speccing out a Fieldpoint system, and although Compact Fieldpoint has many features that make it superior to Fieldpoint for my application, I'm wondering why no relay modules seem to be available for it.
The cFP-RLY-420 is referenced in the manual it shares with the FP-RLY-420, and a search in the product section comes up with several pages that aren't viewable, but it doesn't seem to be currently available.
More importantly, if there are no relay modules available at this time, what would be the alternatives for switching? A small Opto22 backplane wired to a DO module perhaps?

Several of the more specialized modules in FieldPoint have not yet been released in Compact FieldPoint. However, National Instruments is presently working on releasing most of these traditional FieldPoint module in the future.
Depending on your application, either the cFP-DO-401 or cFP-DO-410 (which are both providing sourcing outputs) may be a possible alternative. The DO-401 module can sustain up to 2 A per channel, 8 A squared per module whereas the DO-410 can sustain up to 1 A per channel. Please note that these modules only handle low voltage DC.

Compact fieldpoint simulated device for simulation

I am preparing to use a compact fieldpoint device (cFp-2120) with some I/O modules for DAQ through ethernet communication.
However, the hardware is not ready yet.
Is it possible I can create a simulated compact fild point device with those I/O modules in MAX and then use these simulated devices just as the real devices in LabView to start writing the vi programs

It sounds like you are interested in a feature similar to simulated devices like we offer with our DAQ devices. Unfortunately we don't offer this feature with FieldPoint. Let us know if we can help you in some other way and we'll be glad to answer any other questions you might have.

Function Module to Generate Outbound IDOC for Sales Documents

Hello Experts,
Can someone please help me, I need to know which function module to use in order to generate the outbound IDOC for sales documents. Some of the fm's I have come across are the following:
IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS, but actually for Purchase Orders
IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP, but did not generate any IDocs for my sample Sales Order.
Points will be given for any help provided.

DSC for compact fieldpoint(cFP)

which IO server type should be used for building DSC application for compact fieldpoint target?
when i use my computer as target then i get various options for IO server type like custom VI,opc client,epics,data set marker,modbus.But when i choose compact fieldpoint as target i got only epics and modbus options.Is there any problem with my HW/SW or with my concept?

Hi,
if you just wanna use Labview for logging and graphics (using Ethernet) AND you do NOT use a Real-Time cFP-Controller then you do not need Labview Real Time.
E.g. if you use NI cFP-1804 - Ethernet/Serial Interface for Compact FieldPoint.

If you are using a Real Time Controller than you will NEED Labview Real-Time.
You cannot work without it!!!
