Force the PO to be created in the desired Quantity

Dear Guru's,
I have been struggling with a problem while converting a PR to a PO.
Suppose the PR quantity is of 1000 Pallets. I want to define a logic that system should only create the PO for a Full truck load only which is say 80 Pallets for this material.
Every time a PO is created it would read the materal Unit of measures and convert the PO order unit to pallets (if it is not pallets) and specify the quantity as the maximum truck load quantity in the PO line tem quantity field.
I would prefer not to give a pop-up to user click some where and then change the line item quantity. System should define the quantity automatically.
I have explored couple of badi's and user exits. But some can change only custom fields and some chan fill some custom subscreen.
Can anyone suggest a BADI or an exit to make thing work.
Any kind of help is highly appreciated.

Hello,
You can change order qty in method PROCESS_ITEM of the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST. Not sure how you are going to decide how much to update for different plant/material combinations. Probably, you can maintain this max limit in Info Records and then validate in the BADI.

I have a iMac 27" late 2013 model.
NOTE: I have downloaded the drivers manually from apples support site as the bootcamp wizard fails third of the way through the download.

There is a missing point in this thread, and it is that the Boot Camp drivers for the Late 2013 iMac can only be downloaded from Boot Camp Assistant. The Boot Camp drivers available in the Apple site are not compatible with that iMac.
Delete the Boot Camp drivers from the USB drive, open Boot Camp Assistant and try to download the Boot Camp drivers again. If you get a message telling you that they could not be downloaded, I would try reinstalling OS X through OS X Recovery, by holding down Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up

The latest Premier Pro CC 2014 update forced me to convert and create version of my project while guaranteeing that the project would not be altered; however, the timelines/sequences are not the up to date versions I had. I saved different version of this project for various purposes, but they were all named differently(i.e joe and mary wedding, joe and mary wedding 2, joe and mary wedding 3, joe and mary wedding 3.1). I do not know if they just pulled the timelines from the earliest version, eradicated the data entirely, or something else.
Since the program prompts me to create and save a new version for the updated premier, I still have the previous projects, but cannot open them. I imagine they are unchanged, but cannot be sure.
Thoughts? Is it possible to uninstall an update re-install it later?
Please advise.

Add to right click menu of timelines an entry for "go to next keyframe" and "go to last keyframe" a la After Effects, we should also be able to assign a kb shortcut to this.
There are buttons on either side of the create keyframe button to advance forward or backward in the effects control panel or timeline.
You can also advance forward or backward in the effects control window by holding shift while dragging the playhead.
Allow copy/paste of selection of audio/video effects, not just one at a time. Sure we can copy/paste attributes but since we can also copy/paste effects it would only make sense to allow to copy/paste a selection of effects.
I guess I don't get this one. If I have 5 effects on a clip, I can simply command-click on the ones I want to copy over to the other clip.

I already tried to rebuild the iPhoto Library (all the possible options) and tried to update teh version from 9.4.3 to 9.5 but the problem still persists: is there a way to delete this slideshow without selecting it ? Can you restore your iPhoto Library from a backup version, that was created before you added the slideshow?
If not, have you tried to rebuild the slideshow with iPhoto Library Manager?

How can I delete all the Time Machine backups to make room for more? And how do I force the trash to empty?

I moved a bunch of my husband's files from his Macbook (which is dieing) to my iMac. I created a user for him on my iMac so he'd be able to keep his stuff separate from mine. All is working great except my Time Machine is now unable to backup. The total of used space on my hard drive (including the recently added user's files) is about 420 GB. The amount of capacity of my external hard drive is 999GB. I think Time Machine failed because there was all of a sudden so much more data and a new full backup would be more than the unused capacity of the HD? Regardless I don't need any old backups. I have all my files and all his files. So I moved all the backups from the external HD to the trash. Apparently that's a no no. I can't fully empty the trash now and that is making my iMac crazy slow.
1) Can anyone tell me how to force the trash to empty?
2) Is there a way to delete the whole external HD and start over with a new full backup via Time Machine? In Disk Utility I try to erase the partition and get an error "Volume Erase failed with the error: Couldn't unmount disk." Then I try to Unmount it and get another "Unmount failed. The disk Backup iOmega could not be unmounted. Make sure that all applications and files are closed on this disk." I turned off Time Machine and tried again but with the same errors.
The external HD is called iOmega. It only connects to the iMac with USB. Any help is much appreciated!!!!

Try this instead:
Drive Partition and Format
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. Select the backup volume from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.)
4. Click on the Erase button.
You will need to reconfigure Time Machine preferences for the backup.
FYI: Never remove Time Machine backup data except through the Time Machine application. If you aren't sure about using Time Machine then visit Pondini's Time Machine FAQ for help with all things related to Time Machine.

When opening Final Cut Pro it keeps getting stuck with the loading circle and I have to force the quit so please help?

I have a Macbook Air, still fairly new from July 4, 2014. Yesterday, I was editing some footage in Final Cut Pro, and the colored spinning circle kept popping up. I continuously forced the quit, as I couldn't do anything, and then I restarted and looked for updates (though there was none). I then deleted the app and reinstalled it, but it's still giving me the same problem. This morning, I created a new user account, and Final Cut Pro works on that account, but it took some time to find the exported video (I actually had to turn it off and turn it back on to find the video). Later today, I went onto the main account, where Final Cut Pro isn't working, and it's still giving me trouble, and then the Picture Preview program got stuck, as well, twice, where I had to also force it to quit. What's happening? How do I fix this problem?

Corrupt preferences can create a vast range of different symptoms, so whenever FCP X stops working properly in any way, trashing the preferences should be one of the first things you do using this free app.

Shut down FCP X, open PreferenceManager and in the window that appears:-
1. Ensure that FCP X is selected.

If anyone is still interested, here is the closest I could get to a solution.
If the iPhone or iPad wants a text field, give it one. Create it immediately before the area your keystrokes will populate, then do everything you can to hide it.

Now, every event where you want to make the keyboard visible, add the Javascript line
$("#keyboardtrigger").focus();
And the keyboard appears. Take the focus away from the text box and it dissapears.
Just a couple of notes:-
You will get a very small blinking cursor - hopefully not too much of a problem
The keyboard works, but cursor movements and mouse drags for selecting your text doesn't. That is a totally different problem. Like the keyboard, they really only work in a text field.

Does Responsive HTML5 have an option to force the output to be lowercase?

Using RoboHelp 11.0.3.268, I'm testing the Responsive HTML5 layout as a potential upgrade from our current WebHelp SSL. The one thing I cannot find in configuring the SSL is the option to force the output to lowercase like what is offered in WebHelp and other SSLs. This is a critical project requirement because our team authors on Windows, which is case insensitive, and we publish help output to UNIX web servers, which is case sensitive.

Also, I should add this. As long as everyone is authoring in RoboHelp, there really shouldn't be issues because RoboHelp "has your back".
I believe what that option is intended to prevent is a situation where someone may be using perhaps Notepad or maybe even an app such as CoffeeCup HTML Editor to edit the content. And when creating links, if you were to create a topic that was named MyTopic.hTm, if you created the link as mytopic.htm, of course it would break on a UNIX system. And I'm guessing you already know that. So the RoboHelp option just changes all the names and the links to lower case to prevent breakage. But if all are working in RoboHelp and not hand coding links, you are probably totally safe. In fact, I'd be shocked to see that RoboHelp would actually have allowed creating any broken links.

In the NP schema I have a table TEST_TABLE.
I create a public synonym on TEST_TABLE referencing a table named TEST_TABLE in a database DB_2 (*the synonym use a dblink*).
In my DB_1 instance connected with NP user, when I run "SELECT * FROM TEST_TABLE", the result is the content of TEST_TABLE in DB_1.
Connected with NP user on DB1_instance, how can i force the use of the synonym to get the content of TEST_TABLE in DB_2 instance ? Is it possible ?

Pl post details of OS and database versions.
I do not believe you can achieve your requirement, unless you name the synonym something other than "TEST_TABLE". The resolution to "TEST_TABLE" will always result in the local table first - the synonym will not be included in the name resolution.

I notice that an index only gets used when I use the index key in the where clause. Should I use a dummy where clause to force the index to be used?

Your new scenario now is different. By selecting one specific row instead of selection all you already made an assumption. That only one or few of the rows are returned. Andre's statement still is correct. Now the CBO will prefere the index scan.
The CBO now has to decide between two options.
Option a) use the index.
This means =>
Step 1: Access the index to find the value
Step 2: Access the table using the rowid that was found in the index leaf entry.
Option b) scan the full table

Question on forcing the style on main page in publisher

We have announcement portlet created using publisher. We want to provide rich text editor for the text field of the announcement in the create article pop up page.
The issue we have is font size and color of the text specified by the user using the rich text editor overwrites the styles that are specified in the presentation templates. The question is how to force the font size and color of the text to the style specified on the presentation template. In other words how to overwrite the font size/color which user specifies using the editor to the font size/color which is specified in the presentation template.

If you do not want users to be able to style the article text at all then you should change that field to be a plain text field instead of rich text. You can change this on the data entry template for the articles themselves.

How to force the scrollpane not wrap ?

I am creating Editor with JScrollPane.
The JScrollPane contains JTextPane(implements Scrollalbe, etc class) as a Viewport, and this JTextPane is being used rather than JTextArea to have some styles in it (color and fonts..)
My question is...
I am forcing the maximum size of the line by setting the PreferredSize of the JTextPane. However, when it reaches the end of the line, it automatically wraps to the next line. Is there any way to stop to go to next line ? Any ideas ?

Read this sections from the Swing tutorial on [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/generaltext.html#document]Using Documents. It gives an example of limiting the total number of character to 300. This isn't exactly what you want but it should get you started.
Warning, this task is not as easy as you might think. Also you might want to consider using a JTextArea with a monospaced font. This will make it easier to size the components since it has a constructore that allows you to specify row/columns.
