Force view to measure itself

I have some layout code that needs a view to measure itself before it runs.  I'm trying invalidateSize, validateNow on the view, but it's width and height are still 0 afterwards.  The measuredWidth and measuredHeight appear to be correct though.  What can I do to make this work?
Cheers.

There are a couple of options.  Rollover captions and rollover image objects are unable to trigger advanced actions on rollover, but you CAN do this with rollover slidelets.  So you could set up variables and advanced actions to track whether or not the user has viewed all rollovers at least once before showing a button that allows them to navigate to the next slide.  If you want to avoid rollover slidelets (due to all the issues they bring) you can use Event Handler widgets from Infosemantics.  Attach the widgets to the rollover caption or rollover images and this allows you to trigger advanced actions but with much more flexibility than with slidelets.
One caveat.  None of these solutions work in HTML5.

    Hello PM,
    if you have mutual dependencies, e.g. between a package and a view, then you cannot create the view because of an invalid package and you cannot validate the package because the view does not exist.
    A workaround has been to create a dummy view, compile the package and create the actual view. Now you can force Oracle to create the view and then compile the package.

  • Uses of force view

    Hi All,
    Can you tell me what are the uses of force view?
    Thanks in advance.

    It's relatively common to find in install scripts (and/or in import & export). If you're going to create dozens of different views which depend on various other views and/or tables, figuring out the proper order to drop and/or create each view and ensuring that the build script is updated with that information every time can be rather painful and tedious. It's much easier to FORCE the creation of the views in some human-reasonable order (i.e. alphabetically) and compile everything at the end.

    Thanks in advance..

    Yes, force view command never gives an error, its always a warning. And if you are getting this error during import, dont worry, view have been created in your schema by import command. This might happen when view is refers to any table that actually is not present. In your case it might be a case when view in the current schema refers table in another schema. So i think you should just try to query that view in the schema where you have just done the import.
    Also to verify that why error came, you can go to the source schema and check for the base table of the view under consideration. From there you can get useful information about the actual base table and why import showing up the warning.

  • How do I increase the field of view in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) Version 3.1.1.3003

    I am using Measurement and Automation Explorer Version 3.1.1.3003 to view pictures on a pc that are being sent from a video camera looking through a microscope.  The image I see in the viewfinder of the microscope is MUCH smaller than the image that is displayed on the pc screen.  Looking through the viewfinder of the microscope, I can see ~20 mm across the object, but the display from the camera in NI-MAX shows ~4.5 mm across the object.  How can I change how much of an object is displayed on the screen in NI-MAX?
    The camera is attached to the microscope with a camera adapter on the top of the microscope.  The lenses the camera "looks" through and the lenses used when one looks through the viewfinder are the same, so theoretically, there should be no difference in what is displayed on the pc and what is seen through the viewfinder.  We have ruled out the microscope and camera as the cause of the problem, which narrows it down to the NI-MAX software itself.
    I saw in the forums that you can zoom out on an image; however, this does not change the distance across an image that is seen, just makes the picture of the same ~4.5 mm across the object smaller in size.
    Any ideas or suggestions?

    I have attached a picture of the object's image being displayed on the pc monitor.  Where the field of view (FOV) in the microscope is almost 30 mm, the FOV displayed onscreen is about 7 mm.  After contacting companies various times I discovered there was a reducing lens that goes in the C-mount adaptor, but it is over $300.
    I thought maybe that the FOV could be changed in in NI Measurement and Automation Exploer (NI-MAX).  Any ideas?

  • Mapping Variables(Object View) to Measures(Model View)

    Hi,
    In my AW, I have created a cube, And then I have created a new variable in the object view and populated it using load programs. Now. when I try to create a measure in the model view of the same cube based on this variable, I cannot see any option for assigning a variable to a measure. Can someone please help me out in doing this?
    I need the measure in the model view, because it looks like, when I create a relational view, only the measures that are defined in the model are added to the view and not the variables available in the object model.
    Thanks,
    Bharat

    Hi Bharat,
    The mapping editor is used to map a measure to a relational data source. Therefore, unless you convert your data source used by your DML program to a relational table/view (if it is a text file you can use an external table to present the data to AWM as a relational table, or if it is an Excel spreadsheet and your database is on Windows you can use the heterogenous gateway service to load directly from Excel by exposing the Excel worksheet as a relational table) you will not be able to use the mapping editor.
    To assign an OLAP variable to an measure within a cube you will need to create a custom calculated measure. This will allow you to create a measure that "maps" to your OLAP DML program. There is an Excel utility on the OLAP OTN home page that allows you to create custom calculated measures (at the moment this feature is not AWM10gR2 - but is available within AWM 11g). Click here for more information:
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/olap/SpreadsheetCalcs_10203.zip
    My advice would be to try and convert your data source to a relational table/view and using the mapping editor. This will allow you to benefit from the many new features within OLAP cube storage such as compressed composites, data compression, paralled processing, partitioning and aggregation maps. Of course you can code all this manually but it is much easier to let AWM do all this for you via a few mouse clicks. Please note - that everything you build outside of the AWM model view has to be managed (defined, updated, backed up etc) by you rather AWM. So while there are lots of advantages of using OLAP DML, I personally always try to load data into my OLAP cubes using AWM mappings and save OLAP DML for providing the advanced types of analysis that make OLAP such an excellent calculation engine.
    Hope this helps

  • MSS: Team View data refreshing itself in background

    Hi all,
    I'm running into another issue with the Team View.  I have created a custom routine that takes the information stored in wd_this->mt_hierarchy_data, and removes information that I don't want displayed on the screen.  Right now the routine works when the view loads, and when you change the Display drop down, and when you click the refresh button inside the Team View display.  BUT, when I go to drill down into another org unit, the code somewhere is resetting itself so the fields that I removed from the table are now back in there.
    Is there somewhere on a Post-Exit that I could add my routine to modify the table.  I have tried numerous Post-Exits, but have had minimal luck.
    Hope this makes sense.
    Cheers,

  • Force view of UDF sidebar

    Hi.
    Can anyone tell me if it's possible to make modification in SAP B1 2007A that will force all users to view the UDF sidebar. We have AddOn running that require user to have the view of UDF sidebar set to 'ON' at all times. Sometimes the users forget or the settings change when upgrading B1.
    If anyone can suggest an approach to modify the B1 so that UDF sidebare is always showing, I would appreciate it a lot.
    Thanks and regards,
    Runar.

    Dear
    Plz kindly try the following codes in your addon,
    If pVal.MenuUID = "43528" Then
            If SBO_Application.Menus.Item("6913").Checked = False Then
                SBO_Application.SendKeys ("^+U")
            End If
        End If
    hope it helps.

  • Trying to use labview to analyse analog data from a jump on a force plate and measure peak force (at two points, initial land and 2nd land from jump). Also need to mark the time of flight (time off plate).

    Attached is a file of 3 trials of a drop vertical jump activity onto a force plate.  the subject stands on a platform off the force plate, jumps onto the force place and immediately jumps up as if going for a rebound.  I am able to run this data and obtain a waveform graph with no problems.  however, I need to be able to find the initial contact with the force palte, the peak of the drop, the intial time off the force plate (prior to the jump), the return from the jump and finally the second peak (landing from the jump).
    I want to calculate the time of flight ( time off the plate and in the air after the intial drop) to calculate juimp height.
    I had someone write me a mathscript for it and it works well, however, I need to do it without mathscript as I do not understand mathscript (nor Labview!!).
    Please help

    OK, but I'm not understanding what you're asking us to do... Are you asking us to explain what the MathScript code is doing? (It's searching the array for the elements when the values are above or below a threshold.) Are you asking someone to convert the whole MathScript code to LabVIEW (we are not a code-writing service), or you just want to be able to calculate the new stuff you want with LabVIEW?
    In the future, please do not post proprietary file formats. Most people do not have Word, or Word 2007 for that matter. Please post text files or PDFs. Thanks.

  • How to create LOV on view object with itself

    Hi
    My scenario is that I have COUNTRY table with columns Country_Code and Country_Name.
    I need to display the Country_Name as selectonechoice. User will select some country name and then I should get the Country_Code associated with the selected Country_Name in Managed bean.
    Could you please suggest how to achieve this?
    Regards,
    Vinod

    Hi
    My English isn't very good.
    create a view obj on COUNTRY table then from Data Control drag&drop view obj as a Single Selection and then select Adf Select One Choice and from there you can select which attribute to display.
    in managed bean you can get the Country_Code from the below code:
    DCBindingContainer dcBindings =
    (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    DCIteratorBinding iteratorRow =
    (DCIteratorBinding)dcBindings.get("iterator name for view obj");
    Row row = iteratorRow.getCurrentRow();
    System.out.println("row[]=" + row.getAttribute(0));
