Forcing child to return "success" result to parent

Hi,
I have a child package which has script task that may return an error. I want that even if the script task has an error and went to failure data flow, when the package finishes and returns back to parent, it should pass success result to parent.
Master Package
Child Package

Hi cherriesh,
If I understand correctly, you want to force the child package return “success (green)” result to the parent package when the child package returns an error.
To achieve this goal, we can change ForceExecutionResult property of the Execute Package Task and Sequence Container from default None to Success value. Because the property can change the execution result of the component to the specified status.
The following result is for your reference:
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.

  • How can I force child windows to open on the same display as the parent?

I have a MacBook running Lion.
I use an external monitor. My work involves using a lot webapps and I frequently have popups I need to see and use. If I am on the external monitor, the popups always go the main laptop screen. (I have the laptop open.)
I use Chrome and haven't had much luck googling a fix because child and parent tend to bring up results about parental controls which is not my issue.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Which screen displays the menu and the dock? If it's not your external screen, you can choose it as your main screen by going to System Prefs > Displays and dragging the white line on top of the internal screen to the external one. However if you do that you will have the same problem with your laptop screen...

  • Search-Mailbox Search Query not returning correct results.

    Hi,
I'd appreciate some assistance with the search and delete I'm trying to I'm run.
I'm using the following command to find messages with a certain message class received before 01/01/14 in a mailbox.
    Get-Mailbox xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | Search-Mailbox -SearchQuery '(Received:< 01/01/14) AND ("IPM.Note.Worksite.Ems.Filed")' -EstimateResultOnly | select displayname, success, resultitemscount,Resultitemssize
When I first ran the command it returned 130,000 items, I ran it again with a -DeleteContent switch, all the items were successfully removed from the mailbox, great! However, when I look in the mailbox I can see ~1000 items with the message class in the command
and dated 2013 or earlier, they meet the search criteria so I don't understand why when I run the command again it returns 0 items.
    Help!

    Hello,
Based on your description, your cmdlet is ok.
When you run the cmdlet with a -DeleteContent switch, the messages are not delete permanently. please try to run the cmdlet with a -DeleteContent switch and -Force switch to check the result.
Besides, please use get-mailboxstatistics | fl cmdlet to check information about mailbox.

  • SharePoint Foundation 2010 Search returns no results

    Hi,
SharePoint foundation 2010 Search is not showing any results after configuring the step from the below link.
    http://wiki.sirkit.ca/2011/04/sharepoint-foundation-2010-search-returns-no-results/
    My Server Setup :
    SharePoint Foundation 2010
    SQL Server 2008 r2
We have created two web application and configured the search service as above mention link.
And we have migrated a site from MOSS 2007 to SharePoint 2010 to one of  web application,we assigned search database to the newly migrated content database.
Previously there was Form based Authentication was done on Moss 2007 site and on SP 2010 we are working on Windows authentication.
Database showing crawl is working and showing success results as well in SQL table, Its only Not able to show the results on the page.
    Thanks in Advance
    Dinesh
    Regards, Dinesh Reddy.

Don't look at the databases, it's a bad habit to get into and will lead to confusion.
In search administration are you getting any sucsess messages in the crawl history and is the number of items in your index non-zero?
If so that implies that the crawl process is working and it's the user security that's the issue.
To confirm try searching for a file whilst logged in as the crawl account, that should return results.

  • Spotlight is gray instead of blue and won't return proper results

    Hello,
I have been having difficulty with Spotlight for 2 months now. One day, it just stopped returning any results. So I reindexed the entire hard drive, checked via Terminal to make sure indexing was on and followed a bevy of other tricks found in discussions. None of them has worked. At the moment, Spotlight will return some results such as applications, but skips most of the documents that should turn up easily.
Also affected is the search in the Mail application. It will return proper results if I search via the FROM or TO or SUBJECT fields, but it will not return ANY results if I choose the ENTIRE MESSAGE search choice. Subsequently, mail messages do not appear in the Spotlight search either (even though it is checked in the Preferences.
Also, I know that the spotlight menu will be colored blue when the drive is indexed properly. Mine is gray, even though it took it's 2 hours to index and said it successfully completed.
I've yet to find a solution that works and am looking for any advice, tips, or solution trials.
    Thanks,
    jc

  • Services Registry Search Returns 0 Results

I'm following the 3 part walkthrough on CE 7.2 and one step is using VC to connect the CreatePurchaseRequest to a backend web service.
I've exposed the service in ECC, setup the endpoint/service on the Java side for that server, and then published it to the NW CE server. The publish steps return
"Successfully published service definition with key : "uddi:05c3d3ee-f4e4-11df-cab0-0000001b0b3e" " indicating the server sees and has configured it.
However, when searching for the service in VC on my dev system, it keeps returning 0 results in the search. I've looked at documentation for hours and can't find the fix - this seems to span many areas of NW. Can anyone advise of where to look or something else to test on the system/client?
NW WS Navigator can see the endpoint, and I can see the published WS in the NW CE Server. It does have an issue withe a FQDN but other than that tests OK from both systems' WS Nav. Only the NWDS 7.2 SP3 seems to not see it in the Service Repository.
I have confirmed the same results on a XP SP2 client system, and that I can get the default WS's from the CE server but nothing else.  The search also shows my ECC server as a search option through the CE server.
Can anyone shed light on this one?
    Thanks

    hi
check your configuration settings, whether you are connecting to service registry from visual composer or not.
as you are saying you have published the web service so service registry will show the service when you are connected to it
    Hope it may help

  • Custom Process Type in PC - ABAP pgm that returns success/fail status

    Hello All,
I need to create a custom process type so that an ABAP program can return success/failure message to its successor. browsing through the forum posts i came across some links to a How-To document. but that link doesnt seem to be valid anymore.
I dint get much idea looking into the IF_RSPC_* interfaces and CL_RSPC_ABAP class.
Please let me know if anybody has documentation on this topic. any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rit

    Hi,
you can goto 'rspc' and then settings->maintain process types. there you can define your possibilities/results.
i read somewhere in forum like for failure in abap just need to raise error message within abap routine.
    hope it helps,

  • How to make scheduled jobs Fail if the return partial results?

How to make scheduled jobs Fail if the return partial results?
Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?
We have a number of reports that we schedule to various locations in Excel and PDF. We are frequently getting problems which are manifesting themselves as empty data providers and if we run them as Web Intelligence reports it says Partial Results. Re running the reports normally fixes the problem and returns the data correctly but the problem is that the scheduler reports them as successful and the emails or files get distributed (causing our customers to complain!!!).
Currently using XIr2 +SAP integration Kit migrating to XI 3.1 in July 2009
    Any ideas/suggestion would be appreciated...
I did find reference to the adapt case ADAPT01122128 which may help but when and if are unkowns so not much help.

  • I-bot not emailing when report returns large result set..

    Hi,
I am trying to set up an i-bot to run daily and email the results to the user. Assuming the report in question is Report_A.
Report_A returns around 60000 rows of data without any filter condition. When I tried to set up thei-bot for Report_A (No filter conditions on the report) the ibot is publishing results to dashboard but is not delivering via email. When I introduce a filter in Report_A to reduce the data returned then everything works fine and email is being sent out successfully.
    So
    1) Is there a size limit for i-bots to deliver by email?
    2) Is there a way to increase the limits if any so the report can be emailed even when returning large result sets?
    Please let me know.

  • Child window of application appears behind parent.

I have configured SSGD 4.4 and after logging in and launching a third party application the first child window appears on top of parent but all subsequent windows will appear behind parent. Is there a configuration setting to force all child windows to appear on top of parent windows?

thank you very much for your reply.
my sgd's application is runned in seamless window mode.
and if Run My application in an Independent Window or started via a standard RDP connection, the problem cannot be seen again. it seems to just happened in seamless windows.
My application is a website(jsp, javabean etc) installed in Application server . and I use Application server's IE to open it via sgd for some reasons.

  • InfoSet - returns no result after transport

I realize I will not receive an answer to solve me problem, but hope someone can point me to how to determine my problem.
I have an InfoSet in our BI dev system that works fine.  Previously, it was transported to our BI qas system and also worked fine.  There was a data purge and reload, and since then it stopped retrieving data.  There may have been a patch placed on the system, and changes to the InfoSet in dev which required adjusting the InfoSet.
What I have is the BI InfoSet working in dev, but not in qas.  I have also created a duplicate of this InfoSet, and it returns no results.  I have confirmed both my InfoProviders have reportable data, and the InoProviders have matching 0materials (which is the linked between them).
I'm open to any thoughts on what to check.  I've ran RSISET in dev, recollected the InfoSet and transported it.  The InfoSet still fails.  It's puzzling why it works in dev but not qas.
Again, I'm open to any thoughts, however remote they might be.

If your QA is open, then try to deactivate and re-activate the InfoSet.

  • Scheduled report gets no data but returns success status

I have a large scheduled webi report which normally takes 2 hours to run against SAP BW. Sometimes, the report will complete very quickly (within 30 miunutes) and returns success, but there is no data in the report. Is this a WEBI problem  or some sort of BW time-out? The thing bothers me is that it should not have returned success.
    I'm using 3.1 SP2, FP 2.5.

How much huge data you have?? (No.of rows -- In WebI)
Scheduling done by User logged in BO or Administrator??
If User, he/she have rights to do that(data access) or have only Schedule right??
    Thank You!!

  • Avoid JDBC sender error: Execute statement did not return a result set

    Hi!
My JDBC sender adapter towards MS SQL server works fine, with an Execute statement calling a stored procedure that returns the source data needed. The stored procedure itself updates the status of database table records, so that only the unread records are returned each time the stored procedure is called.
However, the communication channel monitoring sets a red flag for the JDBC sender adapter, when there are no values to fetch from the database table (using the stored procedure). Message says: "Database-level error reported by JDBC driver while executing statement 'EXECUTE FetchMessage 1, 9000'. The JDBC driver returned the following error message: 'com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The statement did not return a result set.'. For details, contact your database server vendor."
This is not an error situation, as I do not expect there to be any values to fetch from the database at all times.
I do not see how to change the stored procedure to avoid this error.
Is there a parameter to be set on the JDBC adapter that I can use, so the red flag is avoided?
    Thanks for any input!
    Regards,
    Oeystein Emhjellen

    Hi Oeystein Emhjellen.
The problem is Store Procedure that has to generate always a ResultSet (or cursor). If it doesn't have a output, you have to generate an Empty ResultSet.
    Like a SELECT Statement:
If there are data, SELECT get an output result but if it get nothing the SELECT Statement get a empty ResultSet.
    Ask to your database team.
    I hope it helps you.
    Bruno.

  • Report obsolete returns diff results when backups are UNAVAIL vs AVAIL

    Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada:
I'm wondering if someone out there who lives and breaths rman (10gR2) for a living can shed some light...
We are finding that report obsolete (as well as delete obsolete) are returning different results depending on if our backups
    are AVAILABLE or UNAVAILABLE.
In our shop, our backups are changed to UNAVAILABLE because they get moved to a different location later, but delete
obsolete doesn't seem to work as expected unless the backups are AVAILABLE.
I am pasting some output below to demonstrate my point. Basically, in the output you are about to see, I'm showing you
my retention policy and I'm listing the backups that I have (and you can see their status is "A" for available). Then I do a
'report obsolete' command to show you what is considered obsolete (3 files are - which is what I expected). Then I change
all my backups to unavailable. Then I list all my backups again and show you that their status has changed to "U" for unavailable.
Then I do 'report obsolete' again and as you can see, I get different results! Can someone explain this to me?? I have RTFManuals
and no where does it say that availability is a factor that can impact determining what is obsolete. You also see in the output
below what version we're using (10.2.0.4.0) and that we are using a recovery catalog.
If someone would like to see additional information, feel free to ask, I'm more than happy to help you help me.
I should also mention this is a 2 node rac on linux.
    Many Thanks.

Thanks for reading my post. Here is the result of doing the crosscheck command.
Problem still exists. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe crosscheck does
nothing because all my backups are listed as unavailable, so there is nothing for it to do.
    Any other thoughts or suggestions?
This problem is driving me bonkers. I have read the Backup and Recovery Basic Guide and Advanced Guide,
googled the web, searched OTN, searched Metalink and I can't find anything on the topic of backup
piece availability affecting obsolescence. Many thanks.

    RMAN>

  • "select count(*)" and "select single *" returns different result

    Good day!
    product version SAP ECC 6.0
    oracle10
data transfers from external oracle db into customer tables using direct oracle db link
sometimes I get case with different results from 2 statements
    *mytable has 10 rows
    *1st statement
data: cnt type I value 0.
    select count( * ) into cnt from mytable WHERE myfield_0 = 123 and myfield_1 = '123'.
    *cnt returns 10 - correct
    *2nd statement
    select single * from  mytable WHERE myfield_0 = 123 and myfield_1 = '123'.
    *sy-dbcnt returns 0
    *sy-subrc returns 4 - incorrect, 10 rows are "invisible"
    but
    1. se16 shows correct row number
    2. I update just one row from "invisible" rows using se16 and 2nd statement returns correct result after that
    can not understand why
    thank you in advance.

    Thank you, Vishal
    but,
    general problem is that
    1. both statements have the same WHERE conditions
    2. 1st return resultset with data (sy-dbcnt=10), 2nd return empty dataset, but must return 1 in sy-dbcnt
Yes, different meaning, you are right, but must 2nd must return 1, because of "select single *" construction, not 0.
Dataset to process is the same, WHERE conditions are equal...
I think the problem is that how ABAP interperets select count(*) and "select single *".
Maybe "select count (*)" scans only PK from index page(s)? and "select single *" scans data pages? and something is wrong with that?
I'm new in SAP and didn't find any SAP tool to trace dump of data and indexes pages with Native SQL.
    se16 shows all records.
And why after simple manual update of just one record using se16 "select single *" returns 1?
I've just marked one row to update, didn't change any data, then pressed "save".
