Format before OR after writing the paper

Is it better to format your paper as you are writing or do it after you are finished? I'm writing papers for college that require either APA or MLA style - depending on the class - and I'm not sure if I should spend time before I start setting up the style or after I've written it.
Any help would be appreciated.

I agree that this is a personal preference. With APA, however, you can always insert your cover page first, headers, and adjust your type styles before you begin writing. Then at least you'll have the basic formatting finished. Once completed with your paper, go back and make any necessary changes.

Not able save the mapping after writing the 4th UDF (in PI 7.1)

Hi All,
After writing the 4th UDF i am not able to save the mapping in PI 7.1, i am getting the following error "the length 3 of the array 'sortedFunctionKeys' is not equal to the number 4 of functions".
Please let me know how to overcome this

can you check the syntax of the UDF?
seems there is some issue in it.
Also sortedFunctionKeys is this part of the UDF? then make sure the logic is correct behind the code.

Can I print before and after on the same page?

Hi everyone.
I'm really proud of my editing on a particular image. I want to print the before and after on the same page, just like I can see the before and after side-by-side in the Develop mode.
Is this possible?

Yes but you will need to make a virtual copy by going to the menu:
Photo >> Create Virtual Copy
Then open copy 2 in the Develop module and from the history panel change the setting to the time of import (usually the bottom of the list) or use the re-set button to get back to the original file from camera.
You can then select copy 1 & 2 and go to the Print module to set up your page with both images.

Problem After writing the Jfree chart into pdf

Hi All,
I am writing the Jfreechart object with my company logo into JSP and and setting the content type as "application/pdf". I am getting the error as
java.lang.IllegalStateException: getOutputStream() has already been called for this response.
I have searched for it in the google as well as sun forums for so many hours and i implements so many suggested solutions but i am unable to remove the exception.
The problem might be using response.getOutputStream() to get the output stream to in the response.
But while debugging the code I observed that I am getting the error after complete execution of the code ie. after displaying the pdf.
I am using JSF with JBoss portlets.
Could any one help me in solving this problem as soon as possible..

I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 to import RAW pictures. Indeed my pictures could have been imported. But I could not convert them in JPG. The extension of my pictures is RW2 it seemed to be a different kind, special from Panansonic camera"s. At first I thought there was a mistake in installing the software . So I tried it again after de-installation. After installation on the same computer it is impossible to let the software work again: I cannot announce myself ! I tried it several times, several days. Proper format of cells after Writing to csv file?

I have been searching, yet struggling with what is probably pretty simple to do. I am writing data to a csv but my data is not coming out the way I need it to look in the spreadsheet once its been written. Each of the channel's data from the front panel need to be in their own Column. Please see attached csv for what I'm aiming to accomplish in a finished program. As of right now, I can write to the csv file but the data and fields are not in their proper columns/rows. Can someone get me jump started on this please? I'm very new and green in Labview. This is my first program. Thank you.

It is recommended to turn on context help (ctrl+H) so you can get a brief description of stuff you mouse over. You can get detailed information by clicking on "details".
For example, you would have seen the terminal for "transpose" in the context window. Curious to see what it did, you would have clicked on "details". That would have shown you what "transpose" does.
I hate it that Microsoft trains you to ignore help files because they write them so poorly.

How to change delay parameter before waking, after putting the Mac to sleep

I recently bought a new fancy APS battery backup/surge protector power strip, that's supposed to switch off my peripherals after the Mac goes to sleep. (in the interest of being more green) Unfortunately, when I plug my USB speaker's power cord into one of the "master controlled" outlets on the strip, upon initiating a sleep command via pulldown menu, the machine sleeps, and then wakes immediately. I've isolated the problem to the following; if I disconnect the speakers USB cable, the problem doesn't occur... the mac sleep, the peripherals shut off.
It seems that the speaker is injecting some noise into the USB port as power shuts down, that the mac seems to interpret as a USB event/wake command. Is there any way to delay the time constant between sleeping and waking? Is there some way to hold off the mac from watching the USB port after sleeping for 3 sec, 5 sec or something like that ? I'm hoping that there is a time constant I can tweek.

First, are you referring to packages or applications because the behavior is different.
Also, why do you want it to retry a failure? It failed for a reason so you need to fix the cause of the failure first. If it failed the first, it will likely fail the next time for the same reason. In general, ConfigMgr will only retry on transient type
errors.

Space disappears before and after numbers during epub fixed layout conversion

Created .indd file using InDesign CC 2014 and converted to epub fixed layout format. Everything is correctly converted -- EXCEPT that every number (date, address, single number in text) is stripped of its space before and after. The indesign file is correct and spaces are all present correctly. Any thoughts? Could it have to do with fonts (using open type features such as contextual alternates with Figure style set to Proportional Oldstyle)? Quick help would be appreciated -- on a deadline as usual!

someone has already applied the patch in test env before recording the tablespace size , so I cannot find out the figure in test env.
So is there any general practice or general guidelines on it?

I think there is no direct way to determine what tablespace is utilized by a patch from the README file. You could check the content of the patch file and see what modules are affected (assuming there are changes and the database level), then query DBA_USERS (DEFAULT_TABLESPACE column) for those schemas which are updated by a patch. Or, you could check the size of the tablespaces before and after applying the patch and you will determine what tablespaces have been utilized (provided that the application services are down, and none of the application users is connected to the application).

How to use Time Machine before and after installing a new hard drive

So basically I'm buying a new hard drive for my Macbook pro and I have a lot of files on my computer that I would like to save. I have never used Time Machine before so I need help on how to set it up before AND after installing the harddrive so my files get transferred onto the new hard drive. Thanks in advance

Unless he was swapping for a lower capacity HDD or to a lower capacity SSD, then the old drive would make a lousy Time Machine disk. However, whenever I swap out a disk I do exactly what you do. Xl reporter shows different result before and after Period-End Closing.

Hi SAP experts,
We have an issue with XL Reporter. When we ran Period-End closing and ran XL - PL Period & YTD (with the same parameters), XLR shows nil in the Actual YTD column and the monthly figures are out by a big difference (example pre-rollover it was $110K after rollover it shows negative $12M).
This happens on 2 different clients running 2 different SAP B1 (2007A PL 42 and 8.8 PL 13) on the same XL Reporter which is possibly the default XL report that comes with the installation.
I don't have any idea why the XLR is running 2 different figures altogether when running the same XLR using the same parameter before and after rolling the year over. The default SAP B1 P&L report stays the same before and after the rollover, I would have expect that the same would happen with the XLR.
Please advise.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by excluding a certain transaction for closing entries as this would defeat the whole purpose of PEC which as you stated was to transfer P&L balances to retained earnings account to be carried forward.
I've check at some guides including one from Orchestra Team (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4tUo774eXg) and so far the process that I've done is exactly what it is.

Before and After View

When I'm in my Develop module and I look at some of my edited photos my before and after view is not showing. Sometime I see the original for a second then it resorts to the edited. Now this is happening to some of my collection cause in some collection they are working just fine. Can some explain to me what is happing.

That's not it. I'm not sure what your talking about or we are talking about two different things. All the files in the collection are before and after are the same this is evident on some other folder in the collection.
I think I figure out the problem
Go to the History located on the left side of your canvas, above the Copy and Paste buttons. You should see Preset, Snapshot, History and Collection. They should have a + beside to expand. Go to History (this is a list of all you edits you made on the image) Go to the bottom where it says import of the file. This is the start point of your file.
Right mouse click on the import xxxx xxxx file ( or how ever you saved your file name). Highlight "Copy History Step Settings to Before."
There you go your good to go
I don't know how to do this on all the images with this problem in the folder all at once. I just do it individually.

Before and After in Elements Editor

In the elements editor I choose to display both the before and after on the screen simultaneously. Each change to the photo changes both photos-rendering the before photo useless. Certainly that is not the intention.
HOW CAN I RETAIN THE "BEFORE" AND CHANGE THE "AFTER"?

I assume you're talking about the "New View" feature. This isn't intended
to give a before/after view. It creates another window showing the exact
same image. The idea is that you can zoom in tight on a small area and make
corrections while seeing the overall effect at the same time in another
window viewed at a different magnification. You could also use it to show
two different areas of the same picture side by side for comparison while
working.
If you want a before and after, you can use the "duplicate image" feature to
make a copy of the file you have open. You could then place them side by
side for comparison.
Another way to to it is to create a blank layer at the top of the layer
stack and then press ctrl-alt-shift-e to merge all the visible layers and
place the composite in the new layer. Then you can toggle the layer off.
Work on the image as you wish. When you want to see the "before", toggle
the merged layer on.
I like to work with separate layers for each step. For example, if cloning,
I create a new layer and clone to the new layer. That way, I can toggle the
layer I'm working with on and off to see the before and after.
I've given you three ways to see a before and after. I hope one of them
will prove useful to you.

I want to know whether it better to for partitoning my target table before or after.
The partion key for source and target are same.

You can do it any way you want.
You haven't told us what Oracle version you are using, how much data you have, how many of the paritions you want to move to the new table, or why you are duplicating the data to begin with.
So how are we supposed to know the best way to do what you are trying to do.
Tell us what you are trying to accomplish. If you just want to replicate the table you could also just export and import it.
Doing a partition is usually easy - just write an anonymous block or procedure to generate and execute the INSERT INTO ... SELECT FROM statements for each partition.
That gives you control over things if you have to restart partway through.
