Format option does not work in reply mode re Bt Ya...

Hi There - I wonder if anyone has had this problem? When clicking on reply to a recipient's email I find that the format option does not work! (I use this to highlight my reply in a different text colour) It works fine when I compose a new email msg but not when using reply.
I am finding this switch over to this 'new improved' Yahoo email a nightmare to be honest. I would never have tried it out had I known I would not be able to switch back.
Why didn't I heed that age old saying 'why fix it if it ain't broke'
I would appreciate any help.

No - none of those. Formatting just does not work! It was as if I had not tried to format - it just did NOTHING.
However, by some miracle (and believe me it was) I have been able to return to my old BT Yahoo Classic and the problem is no more!
Wow! That 'All-new Bt Yahoo Mail' leaves a lot to be desired! Thank goodness I got out of it even there was no 'Switch Back' available. Like I said "It was a miracle'!!!!!

You mean an image such as a scanned document?
If that is the case, the file doesn't contain any text for Reader Out Loud to read. In order to fix that, you would need an application such as Adobe Acrobat that does Optical Character Recognition to convert the images to actual text.
You can also try to export the file as a Word document or something else using ExportPDF which I believe offers OCR and is cheaper than Acrobat.

DB Adaptor import table option does not work with the AS400 DB

1. The DB Adaptor import table option does not work with the IBM i-series(AS/400) tables(Both in ESB and BPEL).
2. Also I was not able to import tables from multiple databases into
the same BPEL project.

Validataion does not work in batch mode

We created an FI line item validation for transaction FBV1 that does a validation on a field and displays an error message if the validation fails. We have an RFC that uploads data from an Excel template and runs a BDC Call Transaction to upload and park the document. This worked well when we were on 4.6C but when we upgraded to ECC6.0, the Validation works fine when we manually call the FBV1 in SAP and the Validation DOES get triggered and displays a message if the line item validation fails but when we run FBV1 in batch mode, (RFC which contains a call transaction to FBV1) the validation does not work.
I set up break a point in the generated program GBTBOFID where the exception error gets triggered and traced the FI Validation. The program will not display the error Validation message when run in batch but when run online, the error message gets triggered.

After the call transaction the program automatically triggers some SAP generated code for a Validation check for FBV1 line item that we have put in through IMG. The message that should be displayed is in the FI validation check of FBV1.
I put a break point in the SAP generated code for the Validation where the message should be displayed. The program executes the statement that should raise the exception and display the message. As soon as the statement is executed, conrol returns to the the the SAP transaction FBV1 program and the program continues to finish.
The statement that executes and does not display the error message is:

I should mention that in debug mode, I check the values of msg_id, msg_nr, msgv1 etc. and they all have values of a message class that we have created.
The above code is in a SAP generated program for FI Validation (GBTBOFI0, include FGBB100R).
-- We only have this issue when we use the FBV1 transaction in batch mode. Runing FBV1 directly online works fine.
-- The issue is unique to ECC 6.0 environemnt. We did not have this problem in 4.6C

Smart collection has "source color profile" as filter option, does not work on camera profiles

In Lightroom 5 i tried to use the "source color profile" filter option in smart collection, however it only seems to work on rgb files (jpg, tiff) that have a profile embedded. It does not work on values like "Adobe Standard" which is a "source" profile of a RAW file, or any of the camera profiles i can choose fo given Raw file. What am i doing wrong?
The Help does not give any clue on this, nor does the coverage by any of the Lightroom guru's like Juleanne Kost.

In my opinion the filter is acting correctly.
The Adobe Standard profile is not a profile defined in the source file, it is a profile assigned to the file in the raw converter and used with raw files that do not have a source color profile, already, so to me the filter is acting correctly because “source” means where the profile comes from, rather than what profile a master photo has had assigned to it.
The source-color-profile option is useful to determine the size of the color gamut in a file’s color numbers which indicates its suitability for various purposes: An sRGB file can be safely uploaded to the web, an AdobeRGB file is going to look right on a wide-gamut monitor and printablebut shouldn’t be uploaded to the web, while a ProPhotoRGB file has a large color space and can be safely edited in a way that adjusts the colors significantly, especially if it is 16-bit, without color-banding or posterization, but a ProPhotoRGB file will probably not look good if directly uploaded to the web or sent to a print-shop that doesn’t do their own color profile conversions.
I would agree that being able to filter raw files based on the assigned color profile would also be useful, but this is a different thing, to me at least, than filtering by the source-color-profile.

Search option does not work in address book

The search field (upper right corner of window) does not work in address book (version 4.0.5) of my friend's Power Book. I eliminated the possibility of a corrupt plist (preference) file by dragging them to the desktop and restarting but it still didn't help. Any other ideas?

If searching in Spotlight works, I don’t know what could be the problem. You may try this:
1. Open Address Book.
2. As an extra safety measure, do File > Back up Address Book and save the backup wherever you wish.
3. Go to Address Book > Preferences > vCard, set the vCard Format to 3.0 and check Export notes in vCards. Close the Preferences window when done.
4. Select the All group in the main Address Book window and do File > Export Group vCard (the command should read “Export Group vCard”, not just “Export vCard”).
5. Quit Address Book, Mail, and any other applications that might use Address Book for something. Or just quit all applications to be on the safe side.
6. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/ and trash any ABPerson.skIndex files you may see there. Open Address Book and check whether the problem is fixed.
7. If the problem persists, quit Address Book again, in the Finder go to ~/Library/Application Support/, and move the entire AddressBook folder out of there, e.g. to the Desktop (to be deleted after fixing the problem and making sure you don’t miss anything).
8. Open Address Book and try doing File > Revert to Address Book Backup to restore the backup you made in step 2. If the problem persists, repeat step 7 and this time try doing File > Import > vCards to import the cards exported in step 4.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

Cache clear does not work in timer mode

I am using the webshop (ISA) on CRM 5.
In the b2c/admin application you have the option to clear the cache, this works when I click "clear" (manually), but you should also be able to specify an interval (TTL), this does NOT work. Do I have to have a separate Timer of Notifier application running to make this work?

I believe the voice control is activated when the home button is pressed for more than a few seconds, this only happens to me when I put the phone unlocked in my bag or trouser pocket and had to contact Apple phone support.
For anyone who needs step by step instructions (like me), whilst voice control is activated the phone responds differently until voice control is turned off.
1) Slowly, (using 2 fingers can help), slide to the right to unlock screen
2) Tap the first number in your passcode until a square appears around the number key. This shows that number is activated. Then double tap the number key and a dot should appear in the first box. Tap the next number key in your passcode until the box appears around that number and then double tap until dot appears and continue.
3) Main menu > Settings (tap settings until square appears and then double tap) >General (following double tap principle)> Accesibility> VoiceOver (on), slide to off (tap once to activate and slide to off).
If you haven't got access to your home computer when this happens, I hope this helps.

BPC75NW: Offline Distribution of reports does not work in Schedule mode

Hello BPC experts,
I'm new in SAP world.
I have the following problem.
In BPC 7.50.06 NW I'm trying to adjust the distribution on e-mail to schedule.
I set up Distribution List. When I start the Offline Distribution Wizard -> Distribute Now all works without problems.
The problem starts when I start the Offline Distribution Wizard in the Schedule mode. All the settings I do the same as at "Distribute Now".
Then I set the report should be sent daily, starting with 13.10.2011, indicating the Start Time. As a System password I'm pointing my domain password (I know no other passwords).
At the time specified in the Start Time nothing happens, i.e. the schedule does not work.
Tell me, please, if faced with a similar problem, how it can be solved?

Volume adjustment option does not work when ipod is in cradle?!

I have my entire mp3 collection "mp3-gained" to get a balanced volume level in all my songs. As this does not work for purchased songs from the itunes store I adjusted the volume levels of these songs significantly down using the volume adjustment option in itunes. This works perfectly fine when listening over headphones, but when I put the ipod in the cradle or in a jbl Radial the purchased songs scream at me like crazy while the others keep a moderate volume level. So obviously the dock output is controlled differently then the ear phones output?! Is there a way to get the same volume control over the dock output?

I initially used soundcheck but I was not satisfied with the quality. So I used the already existing mp3gain tags (that worked perfectly with my rockboxed IRiver) and used mac mp3gain to change the files to a balanced level. This meant I had to switch off soundcheck as it still kept the old (and now wrong) results.

Web service does not work in production mode

I created a small web service with the WorkShop in BEA Weblogiv 7.0.
If I start the server in production mode, then my service is not visible. It can
not be accessed, neither its WSDL. In development mode it works. I tried to create
an EAR file and deploy it, but when I do that in the web console, it all says
that it is deployed, but I can not access the WSDL or anything else.
Does the WSDL URL change in production mode ?

I've read some threads about the topic in this Q, but no solution. So my hope is that NI has resolved the problem. Here it goes:
In normal edit mode I can use the Print Report.vi (using the default win printer) to print out some data. The generated report is a standard NI report (that is NOT HTML).
When building an application this no longer works. No data is passed to windows (the printer icon in the system tray never appears) - and hence no output on the printer!
I use WinXP and LV7.1 in both modes. The printer is a HP2300 LaserJet but I've also tried using the old stable Canon LBP 8 II on the FILE: port - but in .exe mode the file box does not appear.
I really hope that NI has a solution
for the problem since we need the built application on several client. And we do not want to pay for several LV licenses.
Speculations on both the application builder and report generation tools have been given in previous threads... However, these gave no solution and all threads are from before LV7.1.

Are you sure you checked the "NI R
eport Support" under the Advanced
button of the Installer tab in the application builder?

Classic option does not work in new installation of Tiger

This problem is in a new installation of Tiger 10.4.6 on a G4 Cube. First I ought to say I am really happy with the Tiger OS. It runs really well on my Cube. The problem is - the Classic option in the System Preference folder will not open. It starts up like it will, tells me I should update the Quicken version to 6.3, and when it has finished opening it flashes a Classic icon in the dock, which just as quickly disappears. I have tried to open it by opening an application that needs it to run, and I have tried to open it with extensions off, with the same result.
I can reboot to OS 9.2.2 and I have done that several times with no problem. I just wonder why the Classic option in Tiger is not working? Could it be a memory problem: not enough? I have 384MB

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I read that there might be a possible extension problem in Classic, and I did try it with the extensions off as you suggested. It still will not start up. I will try again later from a "clean" start, and if all else fails I will call apple support, but I hate to do that as it's a bit like never, never land.
