Formatting descriptive task list
Hi All,
In version 9.3 we have option to format the task list font (like bold, change color, italics) and even insert a picture in it. But when i try to format a task list in 11.1.2, it does nto show the required result.
In other words i am unable to format the task list in v 11.1.2 by using the same steps that are used in 9.3. Can somebody tell me how can i do it?
Regards,
Umair
In version 11 they took the ability to add html commands away from the forms and task lists, it is because the instructions are now in a html textarea which do not allow html functions.
Though saying that in a patch for 11.1.1.3 (11.1.1.3.03) it looks to be reverted back :- 9475065 – Users cannot use HTML commands in data form and task list instructions.
It has not made its way to 11.1.2, maybe it will in a future release or patch.
Cheers
John

Dear PM Gurus,
I have a Task list in WORD format.
I copy and paste in IA05 (long text).
But , when i print preview from IA06, i dont get the same format I pasted from my word doc, instead it defaults to normal text.
please see attached docs.
1st : Is the word doc i copy and paste in IA05 long text option with columns.
2nd : Is the print preview format i m getting from SAP without any table formats.
Is there any way where i can get the same format as in word from SAP print preview.
PLease guide me on this...If you don't have the possibility to go for an ABAP solution, then you could attach the Word document to the reference object of the maintenance item and indicate in the task list, that the technician shoud open the reference object and print it from the attachments.
It's quite simple, because you can store a link to a network drive & the technician can open/print the document needed.

SmartView Task List not opening FR report
I am trying to open FR report from a Task List task in SmartView (using Planning provider). If I am already logged into my Planning application in browser, the report opens. But if I am not logged (e.g., browser is closed), an empty page opens in browser, and at the bottom is status "Done" but with the error icon.
Is there a way (URL format) that would enable user to open report from SmartView Task List without having to log to Web client first?
Environment: EPM 11.1.2.3.500, FRS 11.1.2.3.503.0917, browser: IE 8, Excel: Office Professional Plus 2010
Thanks,
M. SladicCelvin, Ramkumar, thanks for your suggestions. My colleague, Soumyajit, discovered that the original method (URL) needed to be replaced.
Here is the original URL we used (this one was opening report twice on first open, and didn't open report from SmartView unless user was already logged to Workspace):
** https://i<server>/workspace/WorkspaceLaunch.jsp?uri=module%3Dwksp.relatedcontent%26repository_path%3D%2FReports%2FStatement%2520of%2520Financial%2520Statement%2520-%2520Expandable
Instead the right call is:
https://<server>/workspace/index.jsp?module=tools.relatedcontent&repository_path=%2FReports%2FFinancial%20Statement%20-%20Expandable
Using this other URL, the report:
- when open from the Tasks List, opens only once even the first time;
- opens in Workspace without additional login when opened from the Task List in SmartView
Note: We are using variant of OAM, maybe that has some impact to it. Not my area of expertise, though...

Description:
We have created a custom workflow in Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 and SharePoint 2013. This Workflow is associated with a Document library.
This Workflow starts as soon as any new item is created OR updated in Document library and creates a Task in Workflow Tasks list.
Related Item link is not working in following scenario -
Upload a file that contains “ ' “
in its name, in a document library
Navigate to Workflow Tasks list
Open View Item form (DispForm.aspx ) of Task Created by workflow then click on link in Related Item fields
OUPUT:
Related Item link truncates after “ ' “

Is this known bug in SharePoint 2013 OR any hotfix available to fix it.Hi,
As I tested per your description, I can reproduce the issue as well.
From what I have found out, it seems SharePoint resolve single quote into different code in different place. During the test, if I set Task Name to Document Name, single quote will be resolved to ' , if I set some field to Document encoded URL, single
quote will be resolved to %27 . For now, I haven't found out any article talking about this issue.
As workaround, we may find out a way to change the Related Item field. However, it is OOB field in workflow task (SharePoint 2013) content type, and this content type cannot be modified in form.
I'd suggest you add new column to get document url and place in the form in Task content type settings.

LSMW IBIP Unable to upload the PM operation task list
Dear Experts,
I'm trying to use LSMW to upload Equipment (PM) task list.
I succeed in creating the Header of the task list, but not the operations.
I have created 2 new structures :ZIBIPTLST and ZIBIPTLOP
Source structure is : ZIBIPTLST
u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026 ZIBIPTLOP
Structure relation is :
IBIPTLST <<<<= ZIBIPTLST
u2026u2026u2026u2026..IBIPTLOP <<<<= ZIBIPTLOP
Field Mapping :
IBIPTLST
TCODE
RECORDNAME
EQUNR (Equipment number)
PLNNR (Key for task list group)
PLNAL (Group Counter)
u2026.
u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026..
IBIPTLOP
TCODE
RECORDNAME
VORNR (Operation)
ARBPL (work center)
u2026
Unfortunately, they sre no common fields between IBIPTLST and IBIPTLOP, as you could have between PLKO and PLPO.
I have found an answer about the same issue, explaining that you can add in the structure ZIBIPTLOP , additional fields manually in the Souce field maintenance (adding EQUNR, PLNNR, PLNALu2026).
But then , i have no idea where to make the link between these new fields and the same fields of IBIPTLST.
Can you help, and tell me how to structure my files and my LSMW in order to achieve the creation of the Task list Header and Operation in the same Batch input.
PS :in LSMW, i have created two flat files , one for the header and one for the operation.
Thanks a lot, your detailed answer will be very appreciated !!
Jean-LouisHi,
As you said, u will have to add the equipment and group counter id field in IBIPTLOP structure. U also need to identify the two structures with different ID, say header structure ID is 1 and Operation structure ID is 2. Go to step Maintain Source Field, double click on field SID which is created to enter the header and operation data identifier. In identifying field content, enter identifier as 1 for header SID and 2 for operation SID.
You will have to maintain the SID identifier in you data template as well, so that LSMW can easily identify header and operation data.
Below given is how you can create field data.
ZIA01HEADER - Equipment Task List -Header Structure
SID SID Header
EQUNR Equipment Number
PLNAL Group Counter
KTEXT Description
ARBPL Work center
WERKS Maintenance Planning Plant
VERWE Usage
VAGRP Planner Group
STATU Status
STRAT Maintenance strategy
ANLZU Syst.Condition
STTAG Key Date
ZIA01OPERATION - Equipment Task List -Operation Structure
SID SID Operation
EQUNR Equipment Number
PLNAL Group Counter
VORNR Operation/Activity Number
UVORN Suboperation
ARBPL Work center
STEUS Control key
WERKS Plant
LTXA1 Operation short text
DAUNO Duration
DAUNE Normal duration/unit
ARBEI Work
ARBEH Unit for work
ANZZL Capacity required
Hope this will work. -
Copy General Task List from one service order to another one
Dear Guru,
I have the following questions:
1- From a service order in IW32, how can I see the link between the operations and components?
2- I want to be able to copy all the operations and all the components contained in a service order into another service order for a similar type of equipment. Can someone help me step by step on what needs doing?
KR
ChristianHello Sebastian,
Many thanks for your quick reply indeed on this.
Now this is the catch: I know that I could create a new service order based on a previously created one using IW31, however in my department they are creating sales orders for equipments in the normal SAP SD flow.
In one the material line they enter a service material which is converted into a ZC03 (Service order) when saving the normal sales order which creates automatically a Service Order number.
Because they create a lot of those service order in that way, they want to be able to populate them with the same list of operations and relevant components all the time.
If they would be using IW31 to make copies, they would have to cancel the previously generated service order deriving from the regular Sales Order in SD which we want to avoid simply because it alters the original sales document flow.
Question:
1- I tried to copy the description of the task lists present in my service order thinking that would also copy the list of relevant and subsequent components defined for each task. The system has only copied the description of the tasks but not the components.
Is there a way we could copy a list of general tasks to automatically have those coming with the relevant components?
Please advise
KR

Need 2 metadata fields from item I am running a approval workflow on to show up on the task list
I have document library "A" that contains many documents with 6 columns of metadata. I have a simple approval workflow for the library that works as it should in functionality. My users would like it if 2 fields of metadata from the items in library
"A" would show up in the Task list so they could track the tasks by the 2 fields. Can anyone point me in the right direction here to make this happen? Working in SP2010 with Designer 2010 and IP 2010.
ThanksHi Ross,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display two managed metadata fields in the associated tasks created in the approval workflow.
I recommend to edit the approval workflow in SharePoint Designer and new two task fields to display the two managed metadata fields.
Here are the detailed steps:
Open the approval workflow in SharePoint Designer and click Approval in Start Approval Process step.
Click New to create two task form fields in single line of text type.
Click Change the behavior of a single task under Customization.
In Before a Task is Assigned step, select Set Task Field under Task Behavior Actions and then set the newly created task form fields to get the values in the managed metadata fields of current item.
Please refer to the picture below(create a task form field called Managed Metadata for example and mm is the managed metadata column in the list):
Best regards.
Thanks

how can i a make lsmw of 50 rows of operation can i do in lsmw.HI,
Probably in the field mapping and conversion rules you will have to do some kind of looping in order to handle the step loop.
Understand the logic of the conversion program generated and see how you can manage to change it as per your requirement.

Example of config task list available ??
I try to create a config task list but it's not working ?
I created charateristics with CT04 (with one field zamount)
linked to a class created with CL02
created a general task
made a configuration profile for the general task with CU41
but when I enter the tasklist in a serviceorder it doesn't ask for the required amount.
futher on I try to find some sample of making relations with CU01 but I can't find any (perhaps also because the searchfunction is not working properly again)
if anybody has a description on how to transfer the filled in values to taskfields I would be glad to hear
kind regards
arthurHi!
Yes, the problem was wrong configuration of systems.
Please try the following:
- your systems in system landscape have the right roles
- your TMS configuration is mandant dependent
- you have delivery as well consolidation routes
You can also run the check for the consistency...
You can write back, if the problem still exist...

Hi dudes,
I want to create task list (IA05) in SAP but I have a limit in entering operation descriptions. because the length of this field is just 40 words but the as maintenance members of the company said, they have much more tasks than 40 characters.
is this 40 characters fixed or it can be changed.
thanks in advanceIt is fixed and can't be changed.
It might be a typo or a language barrier thing but you said "they have much more tasks than 40 characters" as if they are doing more than one task per operation.
Typically an operation should relfect a single discret amount of work. Hence the description should also be short.
For instance, the following example:
Disassemble dryer, scrap sides of drum and inspect for fatigue, clean and dry, reassemble
Should be broken up into maybe 9 or 10 operations. Not one.
It's not an exact science but trying to use one operation to cover a multi-step process is not recommended.

Hi,
I am writing html code in descriptive task of task list. when i open the task list in basic mode it shows me the html code instead of the html page.
