Forms 4.5 to 6i help

Originally the forms started out in version 4.5 on a DEC - then compiled to 6i on a Windows box, then we ftp'd them over to our Solaris box, and have them compiled, however we are getting the same errors on different forms within our programs.
They worked okay on the DEC and in Windows, however now when we run them we get the following errors:
FRM 41045 - cannot find item- invalid id
FRM_47023 no such parameter WHERE_CLAUSE -(which I think I resolved by putting in a subclassed copy of the WHERE_CLAUSE under the Parameters node in the Object Navigator - don't know if it was the right thing to do..got rid of the message.)
FRM 41045 - invalid reference to item query_text. Query text only appears in one form - and I looked into the code and it is referenced okay. (control.query_text) , however it seems like this message gets carried through the different forms as I try to run them.
I have looked on the other news groups, and there is very limited information on these errors. Including in the Forms Error Manual.
I am also new to the gui interface version of the form builder -(I just came from forms 3.0 previously) so I am still kind of wading around in it learning as I go.
If anyone has any suggestions, or has come across these errors before and has corrected them, please let me know.

The OS on the DEC Alpha is Ultrix or Tru64. (A flavor of UNIX - I am thinking.) Which is case sensitive. The files were copied exactly as they were on the DEC... I did look into the case sensitivity issue however and did not find any difference between the DEC forms and the SOLARIS forms.
We think we got past that error by updating a couple of our libraries. However, it gives us a FRM-40735 error on an ON_ERROR trigger that raises the unhandled ORA-06508 exception. Are there any differences between the form messages in 4.5 and 6i? Are there any that are discontinued? - Some of the error messages are hard-coded into this trigger so I am trying to either find validation, or discontinuation of some of these triggers.
Do you know where I may find such documentation? (We can't open the Forms 6i reference, and do not know if the Runtime Messages for forms 6i appear anywhere else.)
I did look on OTN and other newsgroups to no avail.

There are online form sites that you can use like JotForm, Wufoo, etc. Jotform creates some very nice looking forms which you can embed into an iWeb page. In portlet project, to navigate between pages, you should not use the URL property to link to a page. Instead, portlets use navigation via action handling. You use the Page Navigation editor to set up links to pages; that is, the navigation editor sets the action property.
Here is an example to hyperlink ans button to open a new page:

Can't get form to send data, need help...

sent via email.php. I'm not quite sure what to do, can anyone help?

If its brand new it should have come with Lion already installed. Up the top menu click on the Apple symbol on the left and see what system it is running, eg. 10.6.8. 10.7.3. etc.

Form text box problems please help???

I am creating a form in adobe XI and am having some problems with a text field I am trying to get the text field to allow me to add multi-line text with rich text editing and I am unable with the setting I have checked. I have gone to properties for the text field and have checked them as follows, Font size is at auto then I went to Options and set it to left alignment and selected multi-line and rich text formatting. But when I have put all the text in the box and I go back to a sentence to make it bold I am unable to do so... Please help??????

How are you trying to set the text as bold? Are you using the Properties bar?

PDF form text isnt extracted..HELP PLEASE!!

I have a two page PDF, and both have form fields in them so that I can enter data and print it out. The form data in page 1 automatically copies into page 2 (they are basically the same information, just on two different sizes of paper).
My goal is to create an Automator app (or some other one-click way) that lets me to print the first page out of one printer, and the second out of the other.
My problem is that it works beautifully, EXCEPT my form data isn't extracted from the original PDF. If I extract the pages manually from Acrobat or Preview, it works fine, but automator just extracts the "shell".
Here is the workflow I am using---
(a PDF file is dragged onto the icon...)
Extract even and odd pages (in separate files)
Move Finder Items (into the folder I specified)
Make Finder Item Names Sequential
.....and then I have my printer scripts (which work fine)....
Can anyone help me??

Problem in running animation in forms runtime , can any body help me

I did a small project using forms 6I . When I run my project the first cansvas named Welcome Screen will be displayed. I.e this is the first canvas displayed. Now my problem is : In that WelcomeScreen canvas I placed a OLE object and inserted a Powerpoint presentation file i.e .propic.ppt file. I setted custom animation setting for all object in that presentation slide. Now my requirement is to animate that file with formruntime i.e once I run the project opening canvas should be displayed and all the objects in the OLE i.e. ppt file within runtime. That is menu attached should be displayed as it is and presentation should be animated. After that I go to data entry module by selecting appropriate menu item from the menu. For this problem what I tried is I imported OLE Control from tools menu in formbuilder and make the OLE properties that is path of the ppt file and Activation property is set to doubleclik . When I runned my project after these settings, if I double click then it is showing slidewithout animation and my main windows and all other windows disappearing. When I click end show in slide then it is returning to my formsruntime module. This is not the requirement, all that i want is my runtimewindows should be displayed within which the presenation file must be animated. Is it possible to do so, if so please suggest the way to improve the visual quality of my project.

Actually, the .class files must be in a directory named MyPack, and the directory 'above' MyPack must be in the Classpath when compiling.

Shared DFF between 2 forms causing errors .. HELP!!

Hi All,
I have two different oracle screens, both based on same table but different functionality.
Hence the share the same descriptiveflexfields. I have used the :block.fieldname in the value set where condition.
This is working in one screen and error in another? How can this be resolved?
Below is my issue:
'PO Distributions' DFF is used by both PO Entry/'POXPOEPO' and PO Summary/POXPOVPO (View Only) forms.
one of the PO Distribution DFF Segments have a Value Set with :Block.field reference. The value set uses the :block.field as seen in the PO Entry Form (block name is different on PO Summary Distributions Form). PO Entry forms PO Distributions are not an issue.
However, there is an error when accessing PO Distributions from the PO Summary form. I think the error is due to the :block.field reference on the value set where clause.
How can this be resolved? What should I do? Can anyone suggest please?

You need to revisit the logic of your value set and improve it if possible.
If you cannot, you can try this (not so elegant) workaround:
In both screens, setup a global variable using personalization.
Populate the global variable by using :block1.field1 in form1 and :block2.field2 in form2.
In your value set, use the global variable instead of :block.field reference.

I have created my own view named GP_NUIF_V and have also successfully established a Database connection,using FWX_TBX_TUTORIAL.I have developed a personal page in Oracle9i JDeveloper ,which is to fetch particular details from my view and show it .. but whenever I run my form I am continuously getting this type of error..pls,help me out ,as my project delivery is nearing..for this I am not been able to head on to registering the form..I have checked from Pl/Sql developer that my query is just running fine as I wanted it to be..I have also changed the FNDNAM in the .dbc file to my view name but it is giving me the same error..please,look at my error and suggest all other ways in how I can solve my problem ,as early as possible..

PDF form opens blank on smartphones -- HELP!

I have a PDF form that is completed on the computer and then emailed -- the form is blank when opened on a smartphone but complete when opened on a computer. HELP!!!

I tried saving the PDF on several computers and the issue continues. It happens on any smart phone or tablet.. Updated iOS software and droid software

Form size increases with F4 help

Hello All,
I am facing a performance issue in an interactive form. We have developed an adobe form and linked it to portal through WebDynpro. We have around 10 fields with F4 help on the screen. We achieved the F4 help with a push button next to the corresponding field on the form and linked the field to the View context in WebDynpro and added dictionary search help.
Tha problem here is- as we go on entering the data by clicking on F4 help, by the time we reach 4th or 5th search help the size of the form increases, as shown in the status bar at the bottom of any webpage, up to 5 or 6 MB and it will take a lot of time to load update the form with the selected value from search help. We have incread the ICM parameter to give user more time to fill the form but this is not a good practice as we know.
Is there a way to improve the performance in this case? Following are details of system:
1. ADS - SP 17
2. NetWeaver 7.0/2004s
3. Already activated "Allow form rendering to be cached on server" in form properties in SFP.
Any inputs will be very helpful.

I don't think that the amount of data Web Dynpro sends to the Adobe Reader increases dramatically - I assume there's a problem with your form / Adobe Reader (what's the Reader version you are using?).
Some users in the forum reported recently that an update of the ZCI script has solved such performance problems.
You could do the following to narrow down the problem:
- analyze the server response times and the amount of data transferred to the browser using a HTTP sniffer (HTTPWatch or fiddlertool): Only the requests containing the name of your Web Dynpro application are of interest.
- If you are using Adobe Reader 8: Watch process AcroRd32.exe with the task manager, esp. the memory consumption.
The following actions could help:
- Update Adobe Reader to the latest version
- Update the ADS and the ZCI script of your form, i.e. update to the latest SAP NetWeaver SP (ABAP + JAVA) and call transaction SFP_ZCI_UPDATE for your form afterwards
- If this doesn't help, you should open an OSS message

Form disappears when clicking search help multiple times

Hi All,
I have created an interactive adobe form with Web dynpro application.
We have multiple multiple search helps (custom and standard) on the form.
when the user clicks on any search helps multiple times (4-5 times), the whole form disappears.
Please provide some solution / hints.

We are not facing this problem on Adobe 9.4. The newest v10.1 has this problem.
Also, this issue is only on 1 server and on other, it works fine.
We are using Native control with ZCI layout.
