Forms font chnages at runtime

hey friends,
The font of teh form changes at runtime.
What it looks in forms builder is completely different at runtime.
How to retain that font during run time also?
Thanks

in webforms you can only use the java-fonts.
Change the fonts in your forms to the correct java fonts (like Arial, Times New Roman, Courier) and then you have no further problems.
There is a configuration file on the OAS in which you can map fonts, if you don't want to change the fmb-files

  • Deploying Forms and Reports 6i runtime with my application

    I'm trying (for a year or two) to find out Oracle's recommended and proven method of packaging Forms and Reports 6i runtime components with my application. I've tried the 6.0 File Packager, the Project Builder Delivery Wizard, and the Oracle Software Packager. I'm still working with OSP but their doesn't seem any mention of runtime inclusion the User Guide or Tool. This is a basic need for anyone doing mass deployment on client/server environments. I know someone at Oracle knows the answer. Please help me! I'm desperate! Also, please realize that a custom install of runtimes from the Developer disks is not an option in our scenario.

    I had the same problem.
    I resolve with a new third party tool:
    RunDev
    I've found it on:
    solutionmarketplace.oracle.com
    searching "rundev".

  • Issues in creating Interactive Form UI element at runtime.

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement according to which i need to create multiple PDF forms at runtime.This i need to do using webdynpro Java.
    The approach that i would be using is creating interactive form U I element at runtime.
    So in a test application in  views wdDoModifyView i added the below code i.e.
    In the do modify view i have added the below piece of code
    if (!firstTime)
                   IWDNodeInfo l_sel_nodeInfo =
                        wdContext.nodeCtx_vn_binary().getNodeInfo();
                   IWDAttributeInfo l_attrInfo =
                        l_sel_nodeInfo.getAttribute(
                             IPrivateAdobeView1.ICtx_vn_binaryElement.CTX__VA__BINARY);
                   if (view.getElement("adobeFrm") == null) {
                        IWDTransparentContainer container =
                             (IWDTransparentContainer) view.getElement(
                                  "RootUIElementContainer");
                        IWDInteractiveForm adobeFrm =
                             (IWDInteractiveForm) view.createElement(
                                  IWDInteractiveForm.class,
                                  "adobeFrm");
                        adobeFrm.bindDataSource(
                             wdContext.nodeCtx_vn_adobe().getNodeInfo());
                        adobeFrm.setMode(WDInteractiveFormMode.UPDATE_DATA_IN_PDF);
                        adobeFrm.setTemplateSource("AdobeView1_InteractiveForm.xdp");
                        adobeFrm.setDisplayType(WDInteractiveFormDisplayType.NATIVE);
                        adobeFrm.bindPdfSource(l_attrInfo);
                        adobeFrm.setVisible(WDVisibility.VISIBLE);
                        container.addChild(adobeFrm);
                        adobeFrm.setTemplateSource("AdobeView1_InteractiveForm.xdp");
    But now i am stuck at this point as its giving me null pointer exception on execution.
    Could some one provide me links to the tutorials which contains dynamic creation of Interactive form UI element.
    I do have links which show creation of input fields at run time  but couldn't get any on creation of Interactive Form UI element at runtime (dynamically).
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hello Dan,
    About the license issue, take a look at the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/interactiveforms">Adobe Interactive forms section on SDN</a> on the right side there is a FAQ. In the FAQ there is something mentioned about license.
    When you are using NWDS04s the Adobe Document Service (ADS) is already installed. You only need to configure the ADS. Take a look at <a href="http://service.sap.com/adobe">http://service.sap.com/adobe</a> on the left click on "Media Library" --> "Documentation".
    When you want to make use of Adobe Interactive forms you need a Adobe Reader 7.x.x or higher.
    Hope it helps.
    Kind regards,
    Maarten.

  • UPC fonts in crystal runtime reset after fresh logging into SAP B1 desktop client?

    Dear Experts,
    I have a client who has SAP version: Business One 8.82 (8.82.069) PL: 06 Hotfix2 and Crystal Reports version: 12.1.0.892 Product Type: Full.
    They have a shipping report that is printed from production module. They needed UPC barcodes on the report. The achieved that through IDAutomation Fonts. The crystal report uses the IDAutomation Function that takes the field and converts and the font is IDAutomation Font that shows the fields are barcodes.
    This repeated works when logged into SAP server using specific id.
    IDAutionation is installed on SAP Server.
    Here is the problem?
    The shipping users have a desktop which has SAP B1 client. That desktop also has IDAutomation fonts installed.
    Shipping personnel logs into SAP B1 with the same id that worked on SAP Server, the report prints okay just the first time after it was saved in SAP Server through crystal report edit and save. Next time they log out of SAP client and log back in with same shipper ID, the report does not pick up the UPC IDAutionation fonts. It comes out as some stange text.
    The fonts are present in control panel fonts on both server and desktop.
    I called IDAutiomation support, they could not help besides saying, put the fonts on both server and client, which I have already done. He also said, there were crystal report runtime issues with fonts?
    Could someone help me out here. What am I missing? I even tried installing full crystal report on the desktop and it did not get resolved. Customer is quite desperate to get this resolved.
    Thank you,
    Syed

  • Can I use forms and reports 6I runtime for production environment?

    I have a doubt.
    I know if i use or install developer (forms and reports 6I) both, runtime and builder, I do require a license.
    But If I buy the standard edition license for database (in production or deployment), and I wanna use the runtimes (from forms and reports) only as runtime not to modify or develop anything, is it possible? just to download it or install it in RUNTIME mode?
    Is it possible and legal?
    Thanks

    Can I download that developer and install both forms and report runtime (yes only runtime) to access a licensed standard edition database? The problem is, you can't download that version any more! All download links to Forms version earlier that 10g R2 have been removed from Oracle's web site. You might still be able to download Forms 6i from My Oracle Support, but this requires a paid license agreement with Oracle to access My Oracle Support (formerly Metalink).
    So, if you already have a copy of Oracle Developer Forms and Reports 6i then all you need to do is contact your local Oracle Sales Representative to get an official answer to your licensing question. If you don't have a copy of Forms 6i, then you are pretty much out of luck unless you know someone who has a copy!

  • Fillable forms - font reduction?

    I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to create fillable forms that will be sent via email to clients.  In a free form response box, is it possible to set the font size to reduce as a client types so that their full response will be captured versus run up against a space limit?  Thank you.

    That's odd, it should work. So is that Reader Touch, or the regular desktop version? If Touch, it might be a bug and you should consider reporting it: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

  • Request for Oracle forms & Reports 12c: Free runtime in GlassFish like ADF

    a) FREE RUNTIME LICENSE IN GLASSFINS FOR ORACLE FORMS & REPORTS IN GLASSFISH
    Hello, we are Oracle Partners and we are using oracle since Oracle 7.3.4.
    I remember a beta of Oracle Forms, having the functionality to set properties in all objects, just like Visual Basic, including lines, etc. But that beta was rejected and I see Oracle had leave Oracle Forms as just a database client.
    In this moment there is a free light version of ADF.
    I will like you think in that possibility.
    Think in this, if you want to program a small software, I mean 20,000 U$, and the runtime is 40,000 U$, then this doesn't makes sense.
    Oracle is pushing small customers toward Visual Studio,
    I think the idea of a free runtime will benefit Oracle in two ways.
    For a 20,000 U$ software or less, you but Visual Studio, Sql Server 2012 is enough, not as Oracle, but is enough for that small softwares,
    this means if you give a free runtime of oracle forms & reports (like adf is doing)
    1) you will win selling development licenses and 2) selling Oracle Standard One licenses.
    If you don't do you will lose developement licenses and Oracle will continue losing the small databases market, because this is not like 10 years ago, Sql Server and other databases had improved, and the hardware too .
    2) THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LINUX MORE EASY TO INSTALL & AN EASY DESKTOP FOR THAT LINUX
    The other point I want to give feedback is linux, it's too related to oracle forms & reports improvements for small business
    Is the development of an easier Linux, to use 1) for development 2) for production.
    In the same way you don't wait 60 seconds in a normal web page to load, people don't like Linux because is not like Microsoft Windwos or Macintosh; so if Oracle wants to move to people to use linux to use Oracle Forms or Oracle Database, I think Oracle must create a more simple and tested installation for both customers and developers,
    - less is more, so the installation must have only what normally is needed.
    - you should not need to use command line for most operations, this should be an exception, normal users must do things by themselves.
    Thank you for your time

    I don't know that it will break things, but I can say that the safest thing to do would be to use separate WLS installations for each product. This may sound like overkill, but each product (ADF, Forms/Reports) have their own idiosyncrasies and requirements with respect to versions and patching, and trying to mix and match them in the same WLS installation is not, in my opinion, something that's worth undertaking.
    I have the very setup I describe (separate WLS installations for ADF apps and Forms/Reports apps), and it's working with no problems.

    John

    Make sure, all your paragraph format have the same font family... This may be bacuase your PO form is picking data from different elements which has different paragraph formats.
    Ex:
    /: 531
    P1 XXXXXXXXXXXx
    /: 538
    P6 XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • Error run form  builder visual c++ runtime library

    when itry run form give me error
    Visual c++ runtime library assertion failed
    xperssion result ==utjer_success
    frm_10039 : unable to startup the from builder.
    why?

    when itry run form give me error
    Visual c++ runtime library assertion failed
    xperssion result ==utjer_success
    frm_10039 : unable to startup the from builder.
    why? I don't know if this is the same issue, but we receive the same error if trying to "run" a form on a client machine that has an unpatched version of the Forms Runtime, but the Form was created with a Patched version and uses certain functionality such as a Treeview. The solution for us was to Patch the client version, and everything worked fine.
    Hope this helps.
