Forms in Windows 8.1

Forms used in Windows 8.1 do not look like they do in Windows 7. Specifically, the headings do not line up over each box. I've tried making the font smaller and adjusting the box sizes. Neither has solved the problem. My current solution
is to return to my old laptop that used Windows 7, however, at times this is highly inconvenient. Are there any solutions to this?

TS4180 Isn't there a real fix? There should be a scanner that corrects every photo automatically. The correct informaion is clearly sitting there in the .jpg file. It's just not in a form where Windows interprits it properly.

Iphone4S photos come into windows in seemingly random orientation. The proper orientation data is obviously in the file, because Apple software gets it right. This is no consolation for someone who's got a Windows PC, Is there a program that goes through all the iphone photos and puts the orientation data in a form that Windows understands?
Loading the photos on at a time, rotating them manually, and saving them is a silly waste of time. There has to be something better.

Thanks for that clarification. Being a PC-only guy, I could not recall when the break came for the Mac CPU's, and OS's.
As the first released version of Ps was ported only for the Mac (was that release 1.0, or 1.0.1?), and then not released for the PC, until version 2.5, I knew a little bit of the history, but you just filled in a big blank for me. That's the sort of stuff that I missed, back when the Ps Forum was split by platform - I never read the Mac side.

List of Called Forms Under Window Menu

As everyone knows, whenever you call a form, all the called form's window name will appear under the WINDOWS menu. However while calling a form in QUERY-ONLY mode the CALLING form's window name disappear from the list,is it Form's default behaviour?

This is due to the modality of the called form - you cannot navigate back to the calling form whilst the called form is still open. If you want to be able to navigate to the caller then use OPEN_FORM instead.

Forms runtime window fails to open successfully

Hi all, I have a user who cannot seem to get her Forms window to open correctly. She logs into Oracle. Selects the responsibility, selects the form she needs to open.
The middle window opens and the Forms Runtime window opens. However this Forms window never pppulates. It remains a blank screen.
I have cleared her jar cache and cookies and re-installed JInitiator too.
Nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

What is the application release?
Do you have any pop-up blocker installed on this machine? If yes, disable all and check then.
Can you find any errors in Jinitiator Console Window? Any error in Apache log files (error_log and access_log)?
What if the same user from some other machine, is she able to open the form?
If none of the above helps, enable trace and see if you get more details about the issue.

2. make connection with database
3. now open the form and compile

Running forms in Windows for development

Hi gurus
My EBS 11.5.10 is on a Linux box. Developing a new form is a slow task because I edit the form in Windows, then send to Linux via FTP and compile it there, just to some testing. To me this a very cumbersome job.
Is there some way to solve this?
Meanwhile to trying to run the form in Windows, I downloaded entire AU directory to my PC, and now I want to compile all PLL files in resource directory, but APPCORE.pll gives me this error:
Compilation errors on APP_EXPORT:
PL/SQL ERROR 0 at line 0, column 0
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17003], [66331644], [1012], [1], [], [], [], []
Failed to generate library.
FRM-30312: Failed to compile the library.
I compile PLL files with this:
ifcmp60 Module=APPCORE.pll Userid=apps@TEST/xxxxxx Module_Type=LIBRARY batch=YES
What I'm doing wrong?
Is my idea insane?
Can this be done?

Did you edit the FORMS60_PATH in the registry and add the directory where all pll files are located? See this thread for details.

When you ftp the form to the server, make sure you are logged in as applmgr user and you have sourced the application env file before using f60gen to compile the form. See this thread for they syntax and for the FRM-30312 error you get.

HELP! Forms 10g Windows Runtime Problem!!!

After I installed Forms 10g windows, I modified the configuration according to my Forms 9i configuration.
But when I open a form and run it, the runtime URL only refer to a temporary htm file which jumps to:
http://localhost:8890/forms90/f90servlet
I have to enter the query strings to run the form, like
http://localhost:8890/forms90/f90servlet?form=C:\webutil\forms\CIMS10g.fmx&userid=OSSCHINA/OSSCHINA@orcl&buffer_records=NO&debug_messages=NO&array=YES&query_only=NO&quiet=NO&RENDER=YES
So how can I make the proper configuration to auto-generate the correct query strings when running the form, just like what it is in Forms 9i?

which configuration did you change and what do you mean by "when I open a form and run it".
Do you mean the preferences settings in the Forms builder ? There is a button to reset the URL used by the Forms builder to bring it back to the deault setting

Display whole Forms MDI window

Hi,
I have webforms 10.1.2.3 running on XP Sp3 clients using IE7 with Sun plugin 1.6 update 17.
I start a form and maximize the MDI window
set_window_property(forms_mdi_window,width,maximize);
set_window_property(forms_mdi_window,height,maximize);
or
set_window_property(forms_mdi_window,window_state,maximize);
the Window is maximized, but the MS Windows iconbar ( including icons for the opened application, the shortcuts,..) will be displayed in front of the 2nd message/statusline of the forms Window?
If I press the maximize window icon of the Forms MDI window, the whole MDI window comes in front and the whole Forms MDI will be displayed correctly.
Is there a way to bring the whole Forms MDI window programmatically in Front?

As Sridharan has replied, document settings authorization is what controls access to Form Settings when you are on a particular form.
If you want to restric access to form setting when no forms are OPEN and when the user only has the Main Menu...then you need to use Additional Authorizations..

Forms 11G Windows executable compatibility

We are planning on upgrading to Forms 11g and deploying on a Windows platform and was wondering if FMXs are compatible/supported across different versions of Windows operating system(ie, If I compile the form on Windows 2003 server can I deploy the same fmx on a Windows 2008 install)

You might be able to deploy the Windows 2003 compiled FMX files on Windows 2008, but Oracle recommends you ALWAYS compile forms on the deployed system. Even if you were moving from one Windows 2003 server to another Windows 2003 server, I would recommend you recompile the forms.

i want to install oracle forms 10g on windows 7.
But during installation i am facing the following problem.
*"Install has encountered an error while attempting to verify your virtual settings.please verify that the sum of the initial sizes of the paging files is at least 256 mb"*
How can i avoid this?

Forms and Windows Vista

Hi,
I have installed Forms 10g in Windows Vista OS and I got a lot of problems, usually forms closed itself with error and I can not work, I had no choise to downgrade to Windows XP.
I wanna know if there is any patch to fix this problem?

referencia a la memoria en 0X00000054. La memoria no puede se read". Y no me
deja ejecutar la aplicación.
