Forms no longer render in IE after turning on SSL.
We are using LiveCycle Designer 7 to create dynamic forms. The form is filled out on-line and then submitted back to the site. We have had no problems with this until recently. We did some security testing and found that when we turned on SSL, the form doesn't render in the browser.
Using Fiddler, I can intercept the request and open the content in adobe reader without issue. However, when the request gets to the browser, everything is rendered but the form.
We do have PDF's that where not generated through LiveCycle that display fine. But forms generated through livecycle do not. It doesn't appear to matter whether they are static, adobe 6 static or dynamic.
This appears to happen on different machines from XP to Vista. I believe we are all using IE 7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can't tell you if this is the problem you are having or not, but Microsoft did release a windows update which tightened some of the processing of SSL. This affected some certificates which had worked prior to that update. If your application worked but then stopped, see if you can correlate the date it stopped with installation of a windows update. Of course, if you made a change to your application around that date, that would be suspect also.
I didn't follow one comment you made "everything is rendered but the form". What is it that was rendered and what wasn't?

IPhone 4 no longer recognized by computer after turning off wifi sync
I've been having trouble with my brother's iPhone 4 syncing to our desktop computer. When I realized it was set for wifi sync I turned it off; now the computer won't even recognize the device. I know it's not the usb port because I've pluggen in other devices (GPS and memory sticks) and they all work just fine. The computer makes the sound when something connects when I plug in the iPhone but it doesn't appear anywhere or even register on the phone or the computer that it's plugged in. Can anyone help me out with this?

After I updated my iphone 4 to ios 6.1.3 I can no longer connect to my bluetooth, plantronics model M25. I tried reset all settings after turning on and off also submitted diagnostic. Do I have to buy yet another bluetooth set?

Unfortunately on these days I'm in a country that Apple don't have any retail store here and for sake of time I prefer to fix it myself to DHL it to the nearest country to use its warranty. I had a form that auto collected data through Adobe but it has stopped working after my Acrobat X Pro did an update.
The form no longer appears in the tracker. How can this be fixed? I am using Windows 7.
It would appear that since Adobe are going to be closing the Workspace area in January 2015 that when
Acrobat did an update the ability to connect to files in the Workspace has been removed.
Is there any way to reconnect the file back to the Tracker?
Has anyone else had the same problem?
Adobe don't seem interested in helping as this question has been posted for three days and yet no response.First and foremost thing you can do it is that reset your Firefox and after that change it to safe mode.This may be happening due to venerable links getting downloaded.

We have a 5s active on our account. After turning on a previously active 4s (it had the same number) The 5s can no longer place call and when you call it from another phone the 4s rings, but will not pick up. Texting over the cell networks works fine. Any suggestions??

HOw do I retrieve my photos from my iCloud that are no longer on my phone after I have restored it?
If you are seeing a cloud icon, they are not actually on your device, just available to download. If you wish to turn this off: Settings app > Videos > Show All Videos [turn OFF]. This is also available in for the Music and iBooks apps.

Instablility of Forms 10.1.2.0.2 after JRE 1.5.0_11 install

I recently reported a problem with focus to oracle support. The advice from them was that the problem was fixed in JRE 1.5.0_11. I installed on 2 pcs the new JRE and have found that forms no longer run on either pc. Oddly the behaviour is different on both pcs - frustratingly even reverting the JRE has not fixed the problems.
Anybody else seen similar behaviour?
PC1: After installing 1.5.0_11 I can open a form maybe 2 or 3 times but after that the forms applet fails to start. The java window is spawned but the background image is not displayed and the window just hangs. After it hangs once the pc needs to be rebooted to get the applet to run again. Tried to revert to 1.5.0_01 but still the applet fails to run. 1.5.0_11 has done something terrible to this pc.

PC2: 1.5.0_11 is more stable on these pcs than pc1. The applet fails to start as on PC1 however far less frequently. A new issue is that 1 in every 6 or 7 attempts the applet is frozen on startup. The form displays but I cannot click on any buttons or the menu.
Resizing the window unfreezes the form. I have seen this behaviour on our menu form but not on the App Server test form. The menu form uses the code from metalink note 358468.1 to maximise the java window. When I remove this code the form does not freeze.
Update - now on PC2 the forms applet fails to start each time with the above error in the java consoleWe have many users here and I and one other are actually the only ones that experiences this. Sometimes I can only only open 2 forms before it freezes other times many but it locks up my IE and the java frame. I just have to close those and get back into our site and I can go at it again without restarting. We have an option to allow users to open it in a separate frame (like I do) or embedded in browser window. The separate frame is the only one causing problems.
I will be curious if you find out anything.
I tried 1.5.0_10 and 11 and had the same issue. I seem to be better off with 1.4.2_06 which is what I am running right now. We were using Jinitiatior and moved to the JRE as we have many users and its easier for us to get the admins to rollout the JRE than a new Jinitiator when we went to 10g. -

Is it really an iPhone 3G with iOS 5.1? I thought it was no longer supported.
I had that occurred to me before but I restored it from an existing backup and the problem went away. If you could, you can try and upload your crash logs from ios 5+ and see what is causing the restart.
If there is nothing to lose (e.g. Data), then you can see if a full restore (e.g. Set it to factor settings) will help. Below is a link:

Lenovo Services/Program takes a long time to start after bootup
It seems like Lenovo services take a long time to start after boot up is completely done.
My Bootup time is less than a minute (0:51s), but my lenovo services (Power Manager Gauage, Lenovo Services in the Sidebar, have th ThinkVanatage Button work, and most annoying of all is having access to my network card to change networks) takes about 2 minutes.
Is there a reason why this is taking so long?
I've uninstalled and installed the lastest Lenovo Interface Driver, and a lot of ThinkVantage/Lenovo software and drivers.
Any ideas?No response?

Phone with busted screen turns on right after turn...
Hello everyone,
Thought i'd register to lay out a problem i have with my N95 phone. First of all, great phone, ive been using it for years and it still competes with everything out there for me. It did break down occasionally, but nothing i couldn't fix by cleaning the contacts or whatever, i always found a way to get it going again.
Last month somewhere i went for a run, but on my way there the derailleur of my bike (gear shifter thing) snapped off, my wheel locked up, i came tumbling off and i had to fish my beloved N95 out of my pocket in two bits, the screen and the main body. After carrying my bike home i ordered a new flex cable, a new screen and a new body for my N95, build it in with no problem at all (done it 3 times before) and popped in the battery to have a go. That's when it got interesting.
The phone turned on (giving the customary bleep), the keys lit up (although one keyboard led seemed to have broken) but the screen wouldn't turn on. Oh well i thought, let me just buy another screen since this one is obviously DOA. But with the second screen it still wouldn't work, and what are the odds of receiving two DOA parts from different stores? Not very likely.
I started looking for cases similar to mine and i came across tons of topics, they all pointed in the same general direction, format the phone using either the 3 * green button method or calling to #7370# and so on. Would be fine solutions if my screen worked, but since it didn't i was in for a blast. I tried the 3 button method and it seemed to be doing something, but since i couldn't see anything it was a little tricky to tell, but anyway i just assumed it did something. I left for a few days (i'm not one for half measures) hooked to the power and just let it format, or i thought so because i couldn't actually see anything happening because the screen wouldn't come on. After seeing nothing change i just turned it off. But it wouldn't turn off, because immediately after it gave a bleep and turned back on again. When i try to shut it down it happens again, comes back on. Only way to kill the power is to take out the battery, but when i pop the battery back in the same thing happens, the phone turning on after turning it off.
So to recap: phone busted, new flexcable, new screen and new body, after reassembling screen not working and after a seemingly botched attempt at formatting it won't turn off normally, instead it turns back on with the screen still not working.
The obvious question here is: what is going on and what can i do to get it going again? Either by formatting the thing and hopefully fixing corrupt video drivers and get the screen going again or some other solution i haven't thought of yet. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated, as i said i think its a fantastic phone. Now im using my old 1100 which is of course a poor substitute to an N95, even if its more functional in terms of being able to use it to hammer concrete nails into walls :-) And i know what your thinking: just drop it in the bin and buy a new one. But i'd rather fix it, i always try to fix broken appliances, phones and computers and it has probably saved me thousands of euros. So again: any help is greatly appreciated!

I have similar problem, my apple tv which has always worked properly with my Samsung tv will no longer play any audio after the latest 5.1 upgrade. Very frustrating as it was working perfectly before. I am starting to not trust apple upgrades until proven for example ios6 on iPhone with that stupid map app instead of google maps.
I just want to buy and hear my iTunes music and videos on my apple tv, could before cant now. Thank you apple. Time to pack up the apple tv and start torrenting without the ios-bs.

Try going to synching in the sources menu on your tv and selecting 'change itunes library', when it gives you the passcode check itunes to see if the tv is showing up as a new device, if so try entering the pass code. It may be that your tv is seeing itunes as a different library because of a recent upgrade. -
Why does my iphone 3gs screen go white after it goes "to sleep" for the first time after turning it on?
The screen isn't broken because it works after i turn the device off and back on, but after it goes black once, it's only white again.
But it takes the touches although it's only white, because I can answer my phone when I slide my finger on the bottom of the screen, eventhough there in not the button to see.

My wife's iPhone is the same vintage as mine 3Gs, but has never had the battery problem. Its affliction instead is that it cannot detect WiFi networks unless it is quite close to the source. Often, when my iPhone not only detects but shows a maximum cells connection with a network, hers cannot detect the network at all. In contrast, her iPhone seems to detect ourcellular carrier just as well as mine does.
Is there any help for this affliction? -

No you can't.
Reboot your iPad: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME for up to 30 seconds, until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart. You won't lose any data settings. When your iPad restarts see if you can access iTunes.
