Formula Structure involving the IF statement

How would I structure a formula for the following problem:
The wages for YoYo Joe’s will increase if the number of items sold each month exceed 25500. The calculation
of wages includes a fixed base amount of $175000 plus an increase of Excess_Production_Cost per 1000
units over (rounded to the nearest 1000). In order to calculate this amount, both the IF function and Round
function must be used. If the number of units (widget units and gadget units) exceed 25000, then the wages
are equal to the number of units over 25,000 rounded to the nearest 1000 (precision is -3) times the
Excess_Production_Cost assumption plus $175000 – otherwise it is just the $175000.

Try this:
=IF(NoUnitSold>25000, 175000+ROUND(NoUnitsSold-25000, -3), 175000)

  • How to use the structure on my insert statement.

    I have a function and returning a structure:

    I'm having difficulty in refering to the values of this
    structure in my insert statement:
    I'm doing it this way and got error, I'm sure I didn't do it
    right, please help.
    Insert Into MyTable (Column1, Column2, Column3, .....)
    VALUES (#LocAndAttIDs.stLoc_and_AttIDs["LocID"]="#,
    #LocAndAttIDs.stLoc_and_AttIDs["AttID"], 23)

    is that the actual code? if so, it looks like your # aren't
    matched up properly. for example, i count 3. there should be an
    even number :)
    you don't seem to have a closing # after the 2nd variable,
    and the closing # for the first variable seems to be a little....
    late. it should be after the closing bracket ( ] ), since that's
    where the variable name ends.

  • Can I have multiple event structures with the same event cases?

    Hello,
    I'm doing an application that reproduces the front panel of the HP6675A power supply. To achieve this, I have done a state machine with different states
    (initialize, measures, voltage, current, ocp, ov, store, recall, etc). In each state, should have an event structure that catches the events of the buttons, like for example: if the current state is the Voltage mode and the user press the current button the next state will be the Current mode. For this in each state of the state machine should be the same event structure with the same events.
    My problem is that the Vi doesn't work properly when I have multiple event structures with the same event cases. There are some possibily to do this, and how? Or is impossible to have multiple events? I have been reading some posts, but I don't find solutions.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Or as others mentioned, make two parallel loops.  In one loop, have your state machine.  In the other, have just the Event Handler.  Pass the events from the handler to the state machine by way of queues.
    A proper state machine will not need the second loop.  The "Wait For Event" or "Idle" state (whatever you want to call it) is all you really need in order to catch the user button presses.  The setup is almost there.  Maybe add a shift register to keep track of which state to go to in the case of a timeout on the Event Structure.

  • How to compare two fields from the same table in the select statement

    Hi, friends
    I try to compare tow fields from the same table, but no result,
    For example, this
    data: cptotchek tyep i.
    select count(*) into cptotchek
    from aufk where erdat = aufk-idat2 .
    The result is  cptotchek = 0, but there are the records in aufk , where,  aufk-erdat = aufk-idat2.
    Please, help me, i don't use the loop statement for optimize my program.
    Regards

    Hi  ,
           it will not return  any value   when you are using   column of same table
           such as Date Field   , Because  while Using Aggregate Function  it will not check with self column
    .      For that you have to take data in one internal table and then you can work on it  .
         And if you are worried about Performance  it will not affect  , untill you are selecting only required data  .
    you can try this way  .
    data: cptotchek type i.
    types : begin of  w_aufk.
            include structure aufk  .
          types : end of  w_aufk .
    data : it_aufk type standard table of w_aufk with header line  .
    select * into corresponding fields of table it_aufk
    from aufk  .
    loop at it_aufk .
    if it_aufk-erdat  = it_aufk-idat2 .
    write : / it_aufk-erdat , it_aufk-idat2 .
    else .
    delete it_aufk .
    endif  .
    endloop.

  • Is it possible to copy and paste a formula without changing the cell references?

    I am trying to paste a formula to a cell adjacent to where it currently is but when I do, the cell references in it change. I am trying to get exactly the same formula in the cell (without re-typing it).

    dedwards96 wrote:
    Just another quick question, is it possible to make a large number of cell references 'absolute'?
    Individual cell references in formulas may have four distinct states: relative, absolute column, absolute row, or absolute column and row. These are set using the popup menu on the reference itself. Click on the reference in the formula and choose one of the four states from the popup menu.
    Once set, you can fill the formula into the rest of a column or row using the Fill Handle (small circle at the lower right of a selected cell). Cell references in the new copies of the formula will remain absolute or adjst to their new position dependent on the setting for each reference. You can also copy and paste the cell (single click to select it, command-C to copy) with the same results.
    You can also copy/paste without changing the formula's cell references if you select the formula (Drag across the formula in the entry bar, copy, press tab to deselect and reconfirm the formula in the original cell) rather than the cell. Pasted into a new cell, the formula will appear as if you typed it in exactly as it was in the original cell—neither absolute references nor relative references will have changed.

  • How to use a Formula Column in the main query?

    Hi All,
    I've tried to use a formula columns defined in some query in the condition of that query like this:
    where (:cf_ex - :cf_ex2) >= 5
    but when I run the report no data returned! Why? and how to use it the condition of the query?
    Note: I'm using Forms 6i

    where (:cf_ex - :cf_ex2) >= 5You cannot do that. Formula columns are not part of the select statement (which runs in the database), but are processed in the report.
    When you created this query, my guess is that you got the message "Note: the query Q1 has created the bind parameter(s) cf_ex, cf_ex2". Check these User Parameters in your data model. So, you are actually referencing user parameters in the query, not formula columns.
    I made a computations and things using PL/SQL that can't be done in the select statement in the data model!If it's pl/sql you can probably use that in your query. Create some database functions for cf_ex and cf_ex2 and use these in your query.

    Hi friends,
    here is my questions with options below.
    In which cases can the ABAP statement CALL TRANSFORMATION be used? (T/F)
    -To transform as iXML document object into and ABAP data structure using
    XSLT.
    - To transform an XML document contained in a string into another XML
    document
    using and XSLT program.
    - To get canonic XML display of an ABAP data structure.
    - To transform an XML document contained in an xstring into another XLM
    document using an ST program (Simple Transformation).
    - To transform and ABAP data structure into an SML document using ST.
    Kindly give me the expalnation to each statement with either True or False.

    CALL TRANSFORMATION is a new language element in ABAP that we can use to <b>call up the transformation</b>.
    The type of transformation:
    XML to XML
    XML to ABAP
    ABAP to XML or
    ABAP to ABAP is already determined by the two additions SOURCE and RESULT in CALL TRANSFORMATION.

  • Require a formula to calc the diff between 2 running total fields in a crosstab

    Post Author: PJM
    CA Forum: General
    Hi,
    I have built a crosstab in Crystal XI with the following columns:
    PROFILED BUDGET (a)                            EXPENDITURE TO DATE (b)                        VARIANCE (a-b)
    The profiled budget and expenditure to date columns are both running total fields.  I want the variance column to show the difference between the budget and expenditure.
    To set the variance field up as a running total, I assume that I would have to specify that I want this formula evaluated after the budget and expenditure fields , however, I can't work out how to do this on a crosstab.
    Moving the crosstab to the report footer has had no impact.
    If I try to create a basic formula using the running totals, I get the error message "A summary has been specified on a  non-recurring field" - I can't find an explanation of this error message on the help menu.
    Can anyone help with this please?

    overtime hours are calculated after 40. If I work 12 on monday, thats 12 regulars hours. not sure about others states laws but here in wisconsin we consider overtime after 40 only, not after 8 daily. at least thats how my company calculates overtime. lets say I work 10 hours a day, monday thru thursday, thats 40 hours regular time. anything after that is overtime. our weekly work schedule starts on sunday and ends on saturday. so on my bi-weekly time log, if i work 10 hrs a day monday thru thursday, i want 10hrs each day in regular hours cell, then when i work friday and or saturday, i want those hours in overtime hours. the main problem im having is: if i reach 40 hours in the middle of a day, i want the regular of that day to end and the overtime to pick up on the same day.
    here is a basic example of how i want regular and overtime to look. of course the values will be duration not just numbers. hope this helps explain what i need a bit better.

    could any one suggest me the procedure to rectify the below problems in process chain?

    In which case it'll be that Access has a different date format to MySQL, and you're trying to push the string "'25-Apr-12 10:55 PM" into Access, which it's not understanding. To get around this, you need to treat your variable as a true date/time object, rather than a formatted string.
    CFQueryParams should be used on absolutely every database platform, they'll stop your website being vulnerable to SQL Injection attacks for one, which at the moment you're wide open to. Replace your query with something like this:
    <cfquery name="input_comments" datasource="#DSN#" username="#DSNUSER#" password="#DSNPASS#">
          INSERT INTO comments(
                             commenter,
                             comment,
                             datetime,
                             post_id
                   VALUES(
                             <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_varchar" value="#form.commenter#" />,
                             <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_varchar" value="#form.comment#" />,
                             now(),
                             <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_numeric" value="#form.post_id#" /> )
    </cfquery>
    The QueryParams will handle the data types for you, and should pass values around more safely and with fewer issues. Assuming you just want to store the current date and time you don't even need to get ColdFusion involved, as databases have their own functions for this. I believe Access' version is simply NOW(), so I've put that in your query.
    Give the above a go.

    sen,
    my lecture[r] said no statement in classEither you misundetstood your lecturer [probable]; or your lecturer is full of shit [possible].
    is "String[] children = new String[5]" a statement ?Yes, it is.
    she said we can only declare like "String[] children;" in classEither you misundetstood your lecturer ...
    There's nothing actually wrong withclass Employee{
        String[] children = new String[5];
    }But it has the inherent limitation that you can't put the fathers name on the 6'th child's birth certificate... because the dumb computer won't let you... Hence it is poor practice.
    A better implementation would be:class Employee{
        private List<String> children = new ArrayList<String>();
    }because it doesn't impose an artificial limit on the number of kids a bloke can have.

  • Setting the sql statement

    http://www.egbolig.dk/drift_bo_syd.rpt (HERE IS THE REPORT)
    We are using SAP Crystal Report .NET Runtime files (http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-7824 newest version 13.0.9.1312) in our web asp.net application. Everything have been working fine, but we have can into problems when showing the certain kinda reports.
    In our code get the reports sql statement using getSQLStatement.
    Dim gp As New GroupPath() Dim sql As String = report.ReportClientDocument.RowsetController.GetSQLStatement(gp)
    This will get the sql, and we use this sql (getSqlStatement) and attach a sql WHERE clause from the code to only get a certain number of records.
    The report Drift_bo_syd.rpt has 5 tables, and the following sql statement.
    Database/Show Sql Statement
    SELECT "rekvstam"."Sel", "rekvstam"."Afd", "rekvstam"."Levadresse", "rekvstam"."Rekvisition", "rekvstam"."Lejemaal", "rekvstam"."Lejer", "rekvstam"."Udfoertaf", "rekvstam"."Udfoertdato", "rekvstam"."Krit", "Selskab"."Adresse", "Selskab"."Postby", "Selskab"."Tlf", "Selskab"."Fax", "rekvstam"."Kontor", "rekvstam"."Hjemme", "rekvstam"."Rekvdato", "rekvstam"."Aftale", "rekvstam"."InitialRet", "rekvstam"."Arbejde", "kreditor"."Att", "rekvstam"."Konto", "Selskab"."Navn", "Selskab"."Email", "Interessentadresse"."Navn", "Interessentadresse"."Adresse", "Interessentadresse"."Postby", "Interessentadresse"."Email1", "Interessentadresse"."Telefon_Fax", "Interessentadresse"."Type", "Interessentadresse"."Tlf1", "rekvstam"."tlfLejer", "kreditor"."Kred", "Interessentadresse"."Interessentnr" FROM  (("Rekvstam" "rekvstam" INNER JOIN "Selskab" "Selskab" ON "rekvstam"."Sel"="Selskab"."Sel") LEFT OUTER JOIN "Kreditor" "kreditor" ON "rekvstam"."Kred"="kreditor"."Kred") INNER JOIN "Interessentadresse" "Interessentadresse" ON "kreditor"."Interessentnr"="Interessentadresse"."Interessentnr" WHERE  "Interessentadresse"."Type"='K'
    But if we run the report from our asp.net code, we get the following error:
    Cannot determine the queries necessary to get data for this report. Failed to retrieve data from the database. Error in File Drift_Bo_Syd {97FED382-1BAC-4DB1-970F-9E098ECE28F1}.rpt: Failed to retrieve data from the database.
    After a long time searching for a solution, we found out that if we place the column kred from the kreditor table on the report, the report will work. (field explorer / database fields / kreditor (table) / kred (column)
    Very important is that the field "kreditor.kred" is a primary key of the table kreditor, and also used in the linking.!
    (We can get the report to work if we call the sql statement with the "kreditor"."kred" in the SELECT statement.
    SELECT "kreditor"."kred", "rekvstam"."Sel", "rekvstam"."Afd", "rekvstam"."Levadresse", "rekvstam"."Rekvisition", "rekvstam"."Lejemaal", "rekvstam"."Lejer", "rekvstam"."Udfoertaf", "rekvstam"."Udfoertdato", "rekvstam"."Krit", "Selskab"."Adresse", "Selskab"."Postby", "Selskab"."Tlf", "Selskab"."Fax", "rekvstam"."Kontor", "rekvstam"."Hjemme", "rekvstam"."Rekvdato", "rekvstam"."Aftale", "rekvstam"."InitialRet", "rekvstam"."Arbejde", "kreditor"."Att", "rekvstam"."Konto", "Selskab"."Navn", "Selskab"."Email", "Interessentadresse"."Navn", "Interessentadresse"."Adresse", "Interessentadresse"."Postby", "Interessentadresse"."Email1", "Interessentadresse"."Telefon_Fax", "Interessentadresse"."Type", "Interessentadresse"."Tlf1", "rekvstam"."tlfLejer", "kreditor"."Kred", "Interessentadresse"."Interessentnr" FROM  (("Rekvstam" "rekvstam" INNER JOIN "Selskab" "Selskab" ON "rekvstam"."Sel"="Selskab"."Sel") LEFT OUTER JOIN "Kreditor" "kreditor" ON "rekvstam"."Kred"="kreditor"."Kred") INNER JOIN "Interessentadresse" "Interessentadresse" ON "kreditor"."Interessentnr"="Interessentadresse"."Interessentnr" WHERE  "Interessentadresse"."Type"='K'
    But it should not be necessary to include this field (which is the primary key and used in linking the report) in the sql statement,
    BECAUSE it is not used in the report. So maybe this is a bug?
    It has not been necessary in RDC Crystal Report or RAS Crystal Report in a classic asp envoriment.
    Here is the code we use to set the reports SQL Statement)
    Try
    Dim conn As New SqlConnection(connString)
    conn.Open()
    Dim sd As New SqlDataAdapter(New SqlCommand(nySQL, conn))
    Dim ds As New Data.DataSet()
    Dim navn As String = report.Database.Tables.Item(0).Name
    sd.Fill(ds, navn)
    report.SetDataSource(ds)
    conn.Close()
    Catch ex As Exception
    Throw
    End Try

    Hi Jan
    I understand your problem completely but we have asked  R&D to be able to edit the SQL and they explained due to how the report Engine works it's simply not possible anymore. It would take a complete rewrite in all of our DB drivers and query dll's to be able to allow it. They did that in CR 9 when they rewrote the DB drivers and removed the SQL part of the code into separate dll's and that is when the ability was removed, it's been that way ever since.
    One possibility is to get the SQL from the Report and then connect to your DB using a .NET and if the results from the SQL is less than 5K rows and not too many columns you could then set the Report data source to a Dataset.
    As long as all of the field names are the same CR will run the report using this work flow.
    For data larger than 5K rows, limit is due to memory resources, you could save the DS to an XML file and then set the reports data source to the XML file. We've seen 100meg XML's used so the amount of data should not be a problem, but of course there are limits to everything so test...
    This should not affect performance much.
    So the work flow would be:
    Load the report
    Get the SQL Statement
    Paste it into a Dataset Query
    Something like this should get you started:
    //string connString = "Provider=SQLOLEDB;Data Source=MySQLServer;Database=xtreme;User ID=sa;Password=pw";
    string connString = "Provider=SQLNCLI10;Server=MySQLServer;Database=xtreme;User ID=sa;Password=pw";
    Detail"".""Quantity"" FROM   ""xtreme"".""dbo"".""Orders Detail"" ""Orders Detail""";
    string sqlString = @"SELECT top 10*  FROM  ""xtreme"".""dbo"".""Financials"" ""Financials""";
    System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection oleConn = new System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection(connString);
    System.Data.OleDb.OleDbCommand cmd = oleConn.CreateCommand();
    cmd.CommandText = sqlString;
    System.Data.DataSet ds = new System.Data.DataSet();
    OleDbDataAdapter oleAdapter = new OleDbDataAdapter(sqlString, oleConn);
    //OleDbDataAdapter oleAdapter2 = new OleDbDataAdapter(sqlString2, oleConn);
    DataTable dt1 = new DataTable("Financials");
    //DataTable dt2 = new DataTable("Orders Detail");
    oleAdapter.Fill(dt1);
    //oleAdapter2.Fill(dt2);
    ds.Tables.Add(dt1);
    //ds.Tables.Add(dt2);
    ds.WriteXml("c:\\reports\\sc2.xml", XmlWriteMode.WriteSchema);
    // as long as the field names match exactly Cr has no problems setting report to a DS.
    try
        rpt.SetDataSource(ds.Tables[0]); // incremtent [0] for more than 1 table.
        rpt.SetDataSource(ds);
    catch (Exception ex)
        MessageBox.Show("ERROR: Schema Mismatch. Error reported by CR: " + ex.Message);
    //Now check for subreport and set to same DS
    foreach (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Section section in rpt.ReportDefinition.Sections)
        foreach (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportObject reportObject in section.ReportObjects)
            if (reportObject.Kind == ReportObjectKind.SubreportObject)
                CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.SubreportObject subReport = (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.SubreportObject)reportObject;
                CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument subDocument = subReport.OpenSubreport(subReport.SubreportName);
                subDocument.SetDataSource(ds);
    And for XML it would use this part, not above I am saving the data and structure in the XML file so it should match what is in the report:
    foreach (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table rptTable in rpt.Database.Tables)
        try
            rptTable.Location = btrDataFile.ToString(); // @"D:\Atest\" + rptTable.Location + ".xml";
        catch (Exception ex)
            MessageBox.Show("ERROR: " + ex.Message);
    Only issue you may run into is sometimes XML does not have a direct field type and your original data source but you'll get an error if that happens which could be trapped and handled.
    If you have a report that only uses 2 tables I do have code that will convert it to use a Command Object. That is the limit the engine is capable of, there is a lot of logic to be able to do this in CRD and the SDK so that is all we could get for now.
    I hope that helps

  • VO is not getting executed or retains the previous state of execution

    Hi,
    We have a UI for the Party Site. Under this UI, you see the address for the party. When u change the address for the party, the old party site is inactivated and a new party site would be created. Assume that all the possible set of locations already exists in the system.
    Structure of the Business Components
    Page is linked to PartyAM
    PartySitesVO -> Linked to PartySiteEO
    PartySiteVO is linked to PartyAM
    Validation VO - PartySiteInCustomerAccountSiteVVO is part of AM - PartyVAM
    In the PartySiteEO - When we double click, open the EO and go to Properties section, we see the below.
    Properties
    ======
    VAMDef : xxx.oracle.apps.xxad.schema.server.PartyVAM
    We call partysiterow.validate() to call the validateEntity() function of the PartySiteEO which is overridden.
    protected void validateEntity()
    super.validateEntity();
    PartyEntityExpert expert = PartySiteEOImpl.getEntityExpert(getOADBTransaction());
    if (expert.isPartySiteInCustomerAccountSite(getPartySiteId().toString())
    System.out.println("Throwing the exception");
    else
    System.out.println("Not Throwing the exception");
    Package xxx.oracle.apps.xxad.schema.server;
    public class PartyEntityExpert extends OAEntityExpert
    public boolean isPartySiteInCustomerAccountSite(String partySiteId)
    PartySiteInCustomerAccountSiteVVOImpl vvo =
    (PartySiteInCustomerAccountSiteVVOImpl)
    findValidationViewObject("PartySiteInCustomerAccountSiteVVO");
    vvo.initQuery(partySiteId);
    return vvo.hasNext();
    public class PartySiteInCustomerAccountSiteVVOImpl extends OAViewObjectImpl
    public void initQuery(String partySiteId)
    setWhereClauseParams(null); // Always reset
    setWhereClauseParam(0, partySiteId);
    executeQuery();
    PartySiteInCustomerAccountSiteVVO
    =======================
    SELECT 1
    FROM hz_cust_accounts a, hz_cust_account_sites_all b
    where a.cust_account_id = b.cust_account_id
    AND a.status = 'A'
    AND b.status = 'A'
    AND b.party_site_id = :1
    Using this VO we want to check, if we have an active account site linked to party site or not.
    Assume we have two party site Ids 100, 200
    PS - 100 is not linked to AccountSite
    PS - 200 is linked to Active Account Site.
    Now the problem is, we have a FOR loop where we loop through all the PartySiteIDs fetched.
    When the partySiteRow.validate() is called for the first time with say PartySiteID = 100, the PartySiteInCustomerAccountSiteVVO gets executed and no rows will be fetched, so false would be returned.
    When the next itteration happens and partysiteRow,validate() is called, PartySiteID = 200 is passed to PartySiteInCustomerAccountSiteVVO and still no row is returned. Ideally, I should get a row. When I run the same PartySiteInCustomerAccountSiteVVO query in toad for PartySiteUD = 200, I get 1 as the output.
    I am not quite sure, if using the PartyVAM and PartyAM and something around transaction state or VO state has anything to do with the VO cache.
    Please let me know, if you see any logical error into the above kind of setup. Aslo, let me know, if you have any questions in understanding this.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I am just pasting the log messages near to the VO execution. What I have done is, I have hard coded the same PartySiteID, just before calling the executeQuery in VOImpl. If you look at the log message, when the first time the VO executes, it fetches the row which is correct. But when the VO is executed again for the same or different party site id, to me it looks like, it is not at all executing the query.
    In this case, since the PartySiteID is hard coded, it should return 1 row each time the executeQuery is called from VOImpl.
    public void initQuery(String partySiteId)
    partySiteId = "25880390";
    System.out.println("party site id in initQuery : " + partySiteId);
    setWhereClauseParams(null); // Always reset
    setWhereClauseParam(0, partySiteId);
    executeQuery();

    Please see, if you can provide me some directions or approaches which I can try.

  • Formula columns  delay the formatting

    I have my pay roll report developed in matrix format.It was working fine,but with the addition of two formula columns(which in turn call two functions defined at the database level,to derive some additional values)the formatting gets extremely delayed.I cannot perform these calculations in the query itself as it involve some computing based on certain conditions.So how can I make the report run faster?Does having many formula columns decrease the efficiency of report being run?
    Thanks
    Jay

    Try to perform the query in your report. Include performance hints like /*+ first_rows */ or.. other, Build indexes,
    Hope this help,

  • Error in Dimension formula to find the average price

    Hi all,
    I have tried a dimension formula to find the average price of Product.
    if the product is a parent level member then average price should be the average of the list price,other wise it should be the list price itself.
    IIF([PRODUCT].CURRENTMEMBER.PROPERTIES("CALC")="N",[KEYFIGURES].[LISTPRICE],AVG(DESCENDANTS([PRODUCT].CURRENTMEMBER,[KEYFIGURES].[LISTPRICE],LEAVES)))
    While i tried the same i received some strange error , i don know whether its having some dependency on the Customer dimension. since K0030101 is a memebr belonging to CUSTOMER dimension.
    MDX statement error:"Value K0030101 for characteristic /CPMB/U6D7SXT un"
    I'm not sure whether its an error with  the formula i created or any dependancy issue or whether this scenario is possible  using  dimension formulas or not.
    Thanks in advance .

    Hi everyone!
    We are using BPC 7.5 NW SP08 and we've had the same error message while adding a formula to the Account dimension:
    'MDX statement error: "Value 1 for characteristic /CPMB/S9D7Q23 un".
    We then checked in BW for /CPMB/S9D7Q23 and found out that it was the Product dimension.
    The solution for the issue was quite interesting. I had seen in another post that sometimes CALC property was not correctly determined for SP08. The solution proposed was to edit dimension members, clear ParentH1 column, process dimension, re-edit, paste back ParentH1 values and process dimension again. This corrected CALC property problem.
    It also worked for my case. After doing it to Product dimension I tried again to set the formula in Account dimension and it worked!!
    Hope this helps.

  • How to run my vi from a front panel control without using even structure in the vi

    Hello, I would like to run my vi from a front pannel control instead of the tool bar RUN botton. I am using LV6.1 without the even structure feature, so I can't do as proposed by a previous posting by setting the vi to run at open in a "do nothing state" then taking the front panel control event and switching the vi into another ("running") state. I wonder is there some other type of solutions to this problem. Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Bryan

    Hi Dennis, thank you for the reply. I tried with the attached vi. It can only run once (also not in the correct state I want), as the control i placed on the front pannel will stop the VI. I want to have the vi do nothing when it is opened and start counting when the start botton is pressed. Then i want it stop counting when the botton is pressed again...and so on... I must need a different structure to get it work, or did I miss something simple? Thanks again.
